Batch Processing Comment Summaries - auto removal blank page?

Good Morning,
I was hoping some one would be able to help me. I have folders of pdf's that contain multiple sticky notes. I was wanting to use the Advanced --> Document Processing --> Batch Processing --> Comment Summary Batch to put all information in the sticky notes onto a secondary page summarizing them. This works great!! However I need to keep the original pages and want (only if there is one) the comment summary to print on the next page. I do not want the page that says "no comment summary for this page" that also inserts. Is there a setting to turn that feature off while still providing the entire original document and the summarized comment pages? Otherwise that is a lot of time to go and delete that page out of thousands of documents.

In the default php.ini is set open_basedir which limits work with php only to few directories (and directories bellow them). There is set /srv/http, /home,/tmp and /usr/share/pear by default.
To allow your vhost you should add /data/www or set empty value.

Dear all,
How can i remove blank pages in combind pdf in one short, if you have any idea or suggestion for remove blank pages in Acrobat. We need without blank pages counting for final page count purpose.
We tried to remove blank pages option in acrobat 9.0, but it is not use single short. It is taken more time to taken for maual work.

This can be done with a script, but a script can only assume a page is
blank if it has not text in it. It can't know if there are images or other
graphic elements in a page.

Batch Process to Remove Blank Pages

Hello!
We are using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 to scan in a bunch of double sided documents and OCR them to a specific folder. Most of the documents are double sided, some arent. What I would like to do is to leave the scanner on double sided to scan in all documents, what this does of course is on single page documents it will scan in a blank page on the "other" side.
Is there a way within Adobe Acrobat 9 pro to remove this blank pages, preferrably with Batch processing? I have tried to use the Preflight to and remove empty pages, but it didnt seem to work??? Should it? Anybody else have any experience with this?

Actually, PDF page content that is "empty" and a "blank" page (of the sort you describe) are not the same.
You may find that someone will have to view the 2-sided PDFs and, in the Pages panel, select all the blank pages and then delete them.

I have a problem in sap script. I copied one std. script and made some changes i.e removing the unwanted pages from the script.
no where NEW-PAGE kind of command is declared in window but still a new blank page is coming in printing.
i checked with the posted comments in forum n what i found .. i did that part for my script..but no progress.
so help needed.

Hi,
If there is no any "NEW-PAGE" command in your any window, Pls check following probable causes.
1. Check your main Window, may be there is blank line at the last of the main window, so check that and remove that,so you won't get the blank page
2.Please check what have you defined as the NEXT PAGE for your first page. If so change it and make the first page itself as the next page.

I am working in Business Objects XIR2 environment. I have a WebI report with several sections. I need to show the report as a book with 69 sections (each section on new page). there are 69 sections on cost center and each cost center section has almost 10 sections embedded in it. When i see in regular view - I only see 69 pages but when I try to see in "View Page Lay out" option, there is one blank page added after each results page.
Please let me know how to remove this blank page. I need to give users the option to download the book as PDF on to their machine. Now, when I download to my machine, I see one blank page after each results page.

Jus convert your report in Page Layout mode and see if your first pafe is getting expand in the second page.
Now check if there are any cell going into second page.
- if there are any blank cell which is there after table.
you have to check formating very carefull.

How to remove blank pages after endnotes?

I am formatting an academic book, and am receiving each chapter separtely, piece by piece, and each chapter is a separate file. The author wants footnote numbers in the text, but wants the references to be formatted as combined endnotes at the end of the book (not footnotes at the bottom of the page). Each chapter's footnotes begins with #1. I have inserted the footnote numbers, and then gone to the end of the chapter/document and deleted the endnote text from that chapter. However, Word still thinks that the endnotes are there and won't let me delete the extra blank pages where the endnotes text once existed. I have tried going into "Normal" and then Footnoes and removing the "endnote spearater," as well as the "endnote continuation separater": this has removed the lines, but not the pages. Any ideas? Suggestions? What if I don't insert the endnote text at all in each chapter, but simply create a new document with the end of book endnotes - woudl this work? Thanks.

1. Employee we have to issue the certificate and as well as terms & Conditions page. If wife is staying in different address we have to display both certificate and as well as terms and conditions page. For kids we need not shown the terms & conditions, bcz they have stayed with wife. So in my case for employee it is displaying 2 pages one for certificate and terms and conditions page, for wife 2 pages one for certificate and terms and conditions page, as per as children it should show only one page i.e certificate page only, but here it is taking terms and conditions page also but it is displaying blank page. Now my question is how to delete that blank page. Just ask your colegues who know how to delete that page.

No i am not using Duplex printer. Let me explain
There is Employee <b>X</b> His address is 2785 and his Spouse and 3 children are not in this Address.
When you are executing The Terms and condition is in 3rd & 4th page. if the address is change then there 2 pages has to print othere wise only certificate has to print.
Now Employee and Spouse adreess are change that's y terms and condition is printing. Children is leaving with mom so now they don't wnt to print 2nd & 3rd page. I put condition now contents is not showing. But here blank pages are showing now i wnt remove those blank pages.

Batch process cwk docs to open in pages?

Hello, asking I hope a simple question: does anyone know how or have a script to ask Mac OS 4.11 to open .cwk documents into Pages '09 as a batch processing action? I need a bunch of files from a workshop my sister did many years ago (still on her G3 iMac running Panther I think) - they are sooo old they are from Appleworks. It would be great if there was a fast way to open AND save them at once. We have set her computer to open all cwk docs in Pages '09 but that is as far as our expertise extends. BTW, she can also transfer and open them on her new MacBook Pro running 10.6.8 - we just started with Tiger since it was closer in age to the G3.

Batch process for setting document (language) and page (structure) properties

I'm looking for a batch process or script that will take a folder of PDFs and add some basic properties required by Section 508 (for accessibility) automagically--such as Document Properties where language=EnglishUS, and Page Properties Tab Order=Use Document Structure.
I'm not a programmer so any help is very much appreciated.

well on unix/Linux/solaris there are no drives but storage heirarchy starts with a root directory represented with ' / '. and all files and directories are created in root directoy like
/usr/local/bin
/export/home/san
etc
also filesystem of unix consists iNodes rathar than FAT entries as in case of Windows.

Preflight Not Removing Blank Pages

I'm using Adobe Acrobat X Pro on Windows 8 OS. I frequently scan to PDF on a network printer over which I cannot control the print settings. When I print 2-sided, there will often be blank pages (where there is no text on the second side). I've tried to use the Preflight tool to remove empty pages. The 'fixup' rule will work to remove empty pages, but I have to first go into View/Show-Hide/Navigation Panes/Content then scroll down the pages to find the blanks. Then expand and right-click the XObject and delete it. Only then I can go to the Preflight tool, select the 'remove empty pages' fixup. It asks to resave the file then proceeds with the fix and removes the blank pages. If I don't remove the XObject, the 'remove empty pages' tool' will resave an identical file and not remove the blank pages.
You'd think there would be a better way ????

i have a condition where i have to display the record only when trxn lines are available for that record ,inside my for each group condition i put the if condition having a count variable so if count is not zero then only the record will be displayed ,it works but problem is it shows blank pages for those records.

Auto insert blank pages in a document and not count as page number.

This might be too much to ask of the program but it would make my life easier. I have several documents with sub-sections. I print the final document and insert tabs between sub-sections. If a sub-section ends with the last page as the front side of the paper I must put in a blank page as I cannot put a tab page between sub-section 1 and sub-section 2 if sub-section 1 ends on the front of one page and sub-section 2 starts on the back of that page.
I've laid out bookmarks in my document and I would like to have a way to automatically have a blank page inserted after the last page before a new bookmark if that last page would be on the front side of the paper. Also, I can't have that blank page or pages contain page numbers. The program must skip those pages and move on to the next actual page.
I could make each sub-section a seperate document but then I'd have about 50 documents to manage instead of 13 and controlling the page numbering would be a pain if I'd have to insert a new page in one sub-section I'd have to readjust page numbering in all the other documents in that section.
Any ideas?

It really helps if you tell us what version of Pages and what you have created and how.
Generally however you probably just have something on that "blank" page and need to delete it:
Menu > View > Show Invisibles

Please follow the below steps.
1. in your 2nd page, After your first node (any window, text etc...). Create-> Flow Logic -> Program lines.
In that program lines, Write code as below (First create a variable in Global seettings-> w_flag type flag).
if i_tab[] is initial.
w_flag = 'X'.
endif.
2. On same node create->Flow logic-> command. In Command node, First, Check the box for "GOto New Page". Give your next page that is your 3rd page. And in Condition tab put following:
Field name -> w_flag ,,,, Rlation operator -> = ,,,, Com value 'X'.
It will directly take you to your 3rd page if i_tab is initial. Do the same for 3rd page..

Performing OCR text recognition in all pages of a PDF document which has blank pages

The PDF pages in the file are scanned as an image, but there are blank pages also. So, page 1, 2 have images of scanned text, page 3 is blank, pages 4, 5, have images of scanned text, page 6 is blank and so on.The series of blank pages is 3, 6, 9....
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 9 on Windows XP. I choose the Document option in menu, OCR Text recognition->Recognize text using OCR->All pages. But, the OCR stops after page 2.
Then, I go to page 4 and find that it is still an image(and I cannot copy the text from it). So, then I have to choose the Document option in menu, OCR Text recognition->Recognize text using OCR->All pages. But, the OCR stops after page 6.
The document has some 200 pages and I don't want to manually do the choose the Document option in menu, OCR Text recognition->Recognize text using OCR->All pages for all pages which have text.
I also tried choose the Document option in menu, OCR Text recognition->Recognize text using OCR->Page 1 to page 200, but that too does not work.
I can manually go to each blank page, delete it, then do the OCR but that would be tedious.
1. Am I missing something in doing the OCR of all pages?
2. Can I set up a batch process to do the delete of blank page series or can I set up a batch process which does OCR of all pages(and does not stop at a blank page) as it is doing now?

Hm, you could convert every pdf-page to a image file (jpeg, etc.):
-install the package imagemagick
-use the command convert
convert -trim -density 150 your.pdf your.jpg
This will generate a jpg-file for every pdf-page; "-trim" removes the white margins, density specifies the resolution of the page (you could also try "-resize" instead of "-density") and 150 specifies amount of dots per inch.
This does not generate a new pdf-file, but maybe there is a way to convert the images back into a single pdf?
