Batch processing from Bridge: checking the "include "Subfolders" box

My request is simply to make this function work.
This would help my workflow enormously. If the processing simply reproduced the folder structure on the destination drive, as selected in the "Destination: Choose" dialogue, that would be completely adequate. TIA.

I just ran a quick test on Dr Brown's 1-2-3, but selecting it via "Scripts"; amazingly, the "Include subfolders" check box appears.
The only part that does not seem to work is that the results of the processing seem to be in one folder only (rather than the processing following the folder structure of the folders, or, in the case of using 1-2-3 from Bridge, TIFFs appearing in one folder marked "TIFFs" and JPEGS in their own folder).
Not a big problem, but if there is a way to reproduce the folder structure of the *Source* files and subsolders, I will be 100% happy!

Context: Mac quad G5, 4G Ram, 4 internal drives, OS 10.4.11, Photoshop CS3 Extended 10.0.1, ACR 4.4, Bridge 2.1.1.9
Checking the "Include All Subfolders" box seems not to process any folders contained within the currently selected Bridge window. All selected files, other than the subfolders, process as usual.
Some jobs require that images be sorted by machine or model number, and into folders. Now I want to make previews for the client.
I had never used this option before ("Include All Subfolders"). Is there a trick to it? TIA, kl
Omke suggested Batching from CSPS, and Ramón suggested Dr Brown's 1-2-3 Processor. it's good, to be sure, but it has no option to check subfolders, and selecting a folder that contains images and subfolders is not permitted.

Photoshop cs5 says "Place" is unavailable when I try to batch process from bridge, does anyone know what's going on?

I am trying to batch process my watermark from bridge. I have a saved action in photoshop cs5 and have used it for a while and all of the sudden it says "place" is unavailable. I have reset bridge and photshop and restarted the computer. Do actions get corrupt?

That is a very common error message actions produce when for some reason the document current state does not support the command or feature used in the action step that gets the error. With our seeing a screen capture of the error message and being able to see the document window, the layers palette and the actions palette Its not possible to tell you why the actions is getting that error message. Most likely its because of the document current state. For example place is not valid for a bitmap mode document.

Batch image processing from bridge cause photoshop to crash

But first it goes ahead and processes the images selected in Bridge. All of them like even over a hundred at a time (great time saver!). Then displays a message for each image in one error dialogue saying, "Sorry Photoshop couldn't process the image. . ." for each image.
It also saves the images to the a folder above (in hierarchy) instead of the folder I select in the batch dialogue. I've tried using Batch process from within Photoshop and get the same result as image process from Bridge.
While I am able to do the processing I need, it's annoying to have the force quit Photoshop each time, and Then to move the processed images where they belong.
I am on a G5, 4mb ram, OSX 10.4.11. Photoshop CS3 #10.0.1, and bridge CS3 # 2.1.1.9.
I usually do the updates when I'm alerted, but haven't heard of anything recently.
Any ideas?

OK - maybe this will shed some light
Try changing the size to something very small.- see below
Try changing the compression. Not affected by the level of Quality (2% 50% or 100%) - all fail to load
Try changing whether a color-profile is embedded or not. Not an option AFAIK in LR Export
Try changing if the metadata is minimized or not. Not an option AFAIK in LR Export
Try changing if the JPGs are exported relative to the source image or some fixed location. Exported to a specific location.
If I use the Image export resize option it loads OK (resize to 1000*673 from 3916*2634).
Older exports (from LR2.3 and earlier, of the same size image, and source DNG are OK)
A centre crop from the Image (1205*691) is OK. A marginal crop (2 edges) (3838*2552) is OK whereas a very slight crop at (3693*2614) FAILS
The camera is Leica M8, images is in Leica RAW format (DNG).
It appears to be function of Image export size (reduced either by Cropping or by 'Resizing on Export'
Looks like a bug in LR2.6

No option to Batch Process in Bridge CS5

Usually in Bridge I would go to Tools> Photoshop> Batch. But instead I am seeing Tools> Process Collections in Photoshop.
Even if I go into photoshop to batch process via Bridge, the option for Bridge is greyed out and I can't select it.
I am on Windows 7, 64 bit.
Please help.

i am not aware where to look the log files.
second issue. on anothor desktop i am able to login but when i create an sample application it moves forward until finish and takes lot of time and gives me an same error as above .
please help me out ASAP iam tired uninstalling and reinstalling the products.

If you are running planning as a service could you stop the service, then run planning server from the start menu.
If you try and log in again it should produce some error messages.

Why do dialogs open for javascript actions when started from a batch operation from bridge?

I have a fairly simple script (written in javascript) that duplicates the current document and
does some other manipulations. I also have recorded an action that executes this script.
When I run the action manually, everything works beautifully. When I run the action via
the batch command from bridge, every operation in the script brings up the associated dialog.
I am obviously missing something, but what?

Make sure you have this line at the begining of your script...
app.displayDialogs = DialogModes.NO;

How to burn a dvd from Bridge, through the Output Module to a DVD?

How do I burn a dvd pdf slideshow? I have CC, ACR, Bridge and I have loaded the Output Module. I know how to create the slideshow in Bridge. How do I get from Bridge through the Output Module to the DVD?

Copying the pdf to DVD is an OS function, not something to do from Bridge. When you save the pdf you select a location where to save it (desktop or folder of your choice). To copy that saved pdf file to DVD you use a DVD writing program on your system or OS copy function (such as windows explorer if on windows) to copy from the location where you saved the pdf to the DVD drive on your system.

I am having problems logging into mail and getting mail from MobilMe. Each day I start Mail I am asked for my MobileMe password. If I type it in and do not check the remember me box, it is fine. If I check the box, I can't log in.

I am having trouble using Mail. Each time I start the program I am asked for my MobileMe password to retrieve mail. If I give the password, without the remember me box checked, it works fine. If I check the "remember me" box, the same same message appears asking me to input the password for MobileMe. This is only happening for my MobileMe account.

It sounds to me like your keyboard has been damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced. Can you try an external keyboard?

Fire fox will not save any passwords even after checking the save passwords box

Go to Tools | Options and choose the Security tab from the Options dialog. Check the "Remember passwords for sites" checkbox. Click the Exceptions button to make sure the site you want to remember is not listed.
From that point on, Firefox will record the username and password combination you enter for a site provided it can recognized those fields in the website form. If the username and password are not already recorded for that site, a bar will expand down at the top of the webpage below the page tabs asking you if you want to remember or ignore that new information. Clicking the Remember button will record that information for that site. When you visit that same form again, either the single recorded username and password should automatically appear in the form fields, or a drop-down list of choices will appear when you set the focus to that field. The choices can be filtered by typing the first letters.
If the "Save password" checkbox you mentioned is displayed on the webpage, it is not a part of Firefox and is a function of the webpage of that site, so it does not affect the ability of Firefox to remember usernames and passwords for a particular site.

Specifically -
To display slides in random order, select “Shuffle slide order.” If you don’t see this option, play the slideshow, move the pointer to make the slideshow controls appear, and then click the Settings button.

Firefox goes to my mail immediately after I enter user name and password. I dont have time to check the save password box even tho it does flash by.

When I enter my username and password for my mail, firefox does not give me time to check the save password box even tho I see it flash by. All other sites work fine and passwords are saved. How can I slow it down so I can enter the check to save password?

this is the address bitbroadband.com and then I have to enter my username and password then hit submit. that is when it flashes by but does not stop and no icon in left corner of address bar. This is google mail provided by my internet procider

Batch Processing from the FCE timeline.

Hi - I am using FCE 4 on an Apple Macbook with OS 10.6.8.
In the same timeline I often have 30 or more unrelated clips.
If I copy the FCP files separately into a folder, is there any
way I can export these as separate mov files automatically
into an HD rather than one at a time?
There are Windows programs which have "Batch Processing"
which will do this operation. It appears that it may not be
available on any of the Final Cut systems.
Is it possible to create a program using Script Editor or by using
Terminal or can anybody suggest any other ideas?

Unfortunately, there is no way to do this in FCE. FCE does not do batch processing and it is not scriptable.

Batch Processing using Bridge to PhotoShop

- I am using CS4 on a PC.
- I shoot RAW and from Bridge I go into Camera RAW and adjust my images.
- Usually I save each one at a time however I would like to learn how to be able to edit each photo using Bridge and Camera RAW ( I’m already doing this), then be able to take all of the photos in the directory and batch process to save as a tiff or jpg for further manipulation.
- I was using Canon’s DPP but want to do all my work in Adobe. The process in DPP is straightforward.
I'm sure this is simple but I can't seem to find it in the menu's or Help.
