Batch Render of PP 2.0 sequences - audio effects missing?

I have a PP 2.0 project that consists of 28 sequences. The sequences are short clips of 2-10 minutes in length. I need to convert all the clips to .wmv files. Since PP has no batch render capability I imported the project into AE7.0 and added all the sequences to the render queue. I set the options and away it ran.
The problem is that the audio in the newly rendered files does not have the effects (specifically fill-left) that were applied in PP. The video effects (like cross-dissolve) are all intact.
Thoughts?

AE does not support any Premiere audio effects. It only recognizes volume level keyframes. Still, exporting audio from Premiere and replacing it in AE is easy and quick, if not convenient, so that would be the required modus operandi, I suppose. Ultimately there's no good solution to this when working with Premiere, I guess due to how it handles footage. On Avid systems that's easy - export a reference QT, force-render all effects, load in the other app for conversion, so this would be a no-brainer...

  • Batch render clips after audio sync?

    HI all,
I just had 150 clips (5D h264) handed to me that needed an external audio clips synced up.
I did some by hand and some by PluralEyes.
Ok, now that I synced all 150 clips with the audio, how in gods name do I send them to the editor to use on his FCP or premiere?? (he has both)
He would need all 150 clips, not 1 long render.
So what would be the easiest workflow? (excluding giving the project file)
    Basically a batch render?
    Thanks,
    lou

Go into the "timeline" mode (as opposed to the "clips" mode). Place the playhead at the point you want to make the cut. Click on the video clip, and you will be able to "split" the video clip. Leave the playhead alone, then click on the corresponding extracted audio clip below the video clip. You will be able to "split" the audio clip. You may then want to "lock" the audio clip to the video clip at the playhead, so that it stays in sync.
If you already split the video clip and moved it, you may be able to re-sync it with the audio by dragging the audio clip in the timeline mode. In addition, if you set the preference to snap to the beginnings of clips, you should be able to accurately re-sync.

  • Nested Sequence Audio Problems

    Hi all,
Progressing with FCP and experimenting with doing things differently, I am trying to take advantage of being able to nest sequences so that the minor changes I make to these individual sequences automatically update in the large, full sequence in which these various scenes are nested. It's great.
However, I have encountered a couple of different problems with audio. For instance, at various points, when I am playing the full sequence (the one containing nested sequences), audio drops out completely (though only briefly). At other times, an audio track that I have faded out pops back on for no reason.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
    -Cyrus

I have never really had any luck nesting sequences in FCP. When I first bought FCP, version 1, I was sold on the premise that FCP has about 90% of what After Effects has in it. It does not. FCP is a video editor and not really designed to nest sequences like a AE. I like Motion because it can render internally in FCP instead of AE that requires you to render to a media file and then import that into FCP. I hate to tell you that you compositing is something best reserved for a dedicated compositor. Doing it in FCP will only make you cry.

  • Batch Render?

In her wonderful book, Final Cut Pro 5, Lisa Brenneis mentions that you can batch render multiple projetcs, but fails to mention where this feature is.
Does anyone know, I have looked all over and even searched on the FCP manual....

Again, that means sequences (or timelines) - FCP does not render projects. (Projects, in FCP-speak, are collections of clips, sequences and render files.) It's a typo or a flat-out error that you've caught, because there is no in-built functionality to batch render sequences across projects.
The workaround that some folks use is to open the selected sequences from all projects in the Timeline, then set the Auto-Render time (in User Preferences) to something absurdly low (5 minutes or less) and leave the machine alone to render out.

  • Batch render After effect in backgroud task on OS X

    Hi
Is there a possibility to do batch render with after effect 7 in background task with command line in the terminal?
i have another problem, the batch render of AFX is very slow on my Quad G5 (2go ram). After effect only use 10 to 40 % of the CPU, can i do somethink to accelerate it?
    Thank you for all.
    sorry for my bad english
    Vincent

"Is there a possibility to do batch render with after effect 7 in background task with command line in the terminal?"
I haven't done a ton of AE rendering w/ Qmaster, but it looks as if it only supports version 6.5.
"After effect only use 10 to 40 % of the CPU, can i do something to accelerate it?"
Well, not dong anything else and leaving AE as the front most application is a good place to start. CPU intensive apps often throttle back their usage when the machine is "not idle" so that you can have some CPU cycles to do other stuff with...

  • How do I batch-render LiveType files?

I've been trying to find a way to render a batch of LiveType files, but so far have been unsuccessful.
The closest I've come is the applescript below, which I was going to combine with a shell script to call it on each of the files in a directory in turn, but the script won't wait until the file finishes rendering before going on.
Am I missing something? Is there a known way to batch render files? Or can someone help me complete the script below?
-- LiveType should be opened with the file to be rendered before this script is called
    -- Focus LiveType
    tell application "LiveType"
    activate
    end tell
    -- Render the open file
    tell application "System Events"
    tell process "LiveType"
    tell menu bar 1
    tell menu bar item "File"
    tell menu "File"
    click menu item 17
    end tell
    end tell
    end tell
    tell window "Save"
    click button "Save"
    end tell
    end tell
    end tell
-- If this script would wait until the rendering is done, then the block below would close the finished movie window. Since it doesn't wait, it presses "cancel" on the rendering progress indicator. Doh.
    tell application "System Events"
    tell process "LiveType"
    tell window 1
    click button 0

    HI(Bonjour)!
As I know, Livetype is not "applescriptable". He's
not in the dictionnary list in script editor.
So I do not think that you can go further than open
this application via finder, who is
    "applescriptable".
    Michel Boissonneault
LiveType is GUI-scriptable. See the code above, which works except for not waiting for actions to be completed before going on. More on GUI-scripting is here:
    http://www.apple.com/applescript/uiscripting/index.html
Unfortunately, the docs aren't very long. I've found AppleScript to be the most difficult "scripting" language to learn. I'm still left without a solution to the problem, though. There's got to be a way to make the applescript solution work.

  • How to change sequence audio preset?

in my browser, my FOOTAGE audio rate is 48khz/audio format 16-bit integer. but my SEQUENCE audio rate is 48khz/audio format 32-bit floating point.
when i go to adjust the sequence settings to make my sequence 16-bit as well, it says it is 48khz/16, but that doesn't correspond to how the sequences are in my browser. when i try to add new sequences, it adds them as 32-bit instead of 16 still.
    any ideas?

Your sequence will show 32bit floating point as it's functionality. Why, I don't know...others here may.
If you open a sequence, then go to MainMenu/Sequence/Settings, you'll see that the settings there should be 16bit depth.
    That should be correct.
Are you having issues with anything, or simply determining what's up?

  • Audio transitions missing when combining sequences - Premiere CC 8.1 Caravan

Audio effects not following when one sequence is pasted into another - Premiere CC 8.1 Caravan
When I finish sequences "A," "B," and "C," and I wish to make a new sequence (sequence "D") that has parts of sequence A, B, and C, I load any of the three sequences into the source monitor and then use the insert/overwrite to paste into sequence D.  When playing A, B, or C in the source monitor, everything sounds fine.  When I insert (or overlay) those segments into new sequence "D," audio transitions (such as exponential audio transitions to fade in/out music) are missing.  So on sequence "D," any audio transitions from sequences A, B, or C do not follow.
I just confirmed that this problem does not exist in Premiere CS6.  All audio transitions follow from one sequence that is pasted into another.
In CC, I re-created the problem by putting an exponential fade in and fade out on a clip of music on sequence A, and it works just fine.  I then pasted that sequence into sequence D.  At the point of the transition, the music does not fade in at the beginning, but just stays muted until after the fade-in transition, then pops in full.  Then at the fade out, the audio does fade, but it is full of digital static.
I did this same test in CS6 (same machine) and everything works fine.  All transitions and effects are perfect.
I just noted this the other day when creating a highlight sequence of a documentary we are producing.  I noticed that sound bites were cutting in abruptly.  This is a serious problem.
Can anyone else recreate this issue?

    Hey KMueller - neat thinking.
Before reporting - I did try the drag / drop, then the import, then the media browser options and they all ended up the same.
Using your idea, I just straight forward made a copy / paste of the file in the folder it sits in, then dragged that over and hey presto - it came in with audio...
The icon representing the original file says video only still - but the icon representing the "copy" of the same file has a video & audio icon - and it plays ball on the timeline.
    Thanks
    Dave

  • Batch render in maya with quad

we just receive a quad at job, but we have a problem wih maya, only 2 core run in batch render, or in render. Is there a solution to use all the power of the 4 core

    Hi kapoue;
Have you tried any other programs to see if they user more then two CPUs?
I know on my Quad that Photoshop CS2 is able to use more then three CPU by itself when certain filters are used. I also know that running Altivec Fractal Carbon is able to exersize all four of my CPUs while it is rendering a fractal.

  • Batch Render, Batch Compress

We have hundreds of video titles we are trying to convert to DVD and would like to batch render from several FCP project files each one being a different video and separate and unique project file.
The other option would be to batch compress to compressor directly from FCP, but can compressor open a new FCP project once it has finished the current project?
Any info on this would be quite useful.
    Thank you,
    James

Thanks for the response. For some reason I thought you couldn't render h264 from the queue. I've figured it out, though, thanks!

  • Batch Render - Help !

    Hi,
I have over two hundred folders that contain sequentially numbered animation frames. How can I batch render these into 200 QuickTime movies?
Can I batch render PremierPro ?
Is there a plugin or render controller for PremierPro that will control a batch render ?
Is there any other app on a PC that will do this ?
    Help!
    Thanks for any info!

After Effects would be one way.
You might also be able to do it using actions in PhotoShop CS3 extended.

  • Audio effects in FCP

As of yet, I have failed to figure out how to hear audio effects, reverb, EQ etc. in real time in FCP.
When I try the EQ or reverb, I get a render line and no ability to adjust the controls to get teh sound I want. CAn someone offer some help?
    Thanks,
    Ty Ford

When you get a render line, I presume this means you see red in the render status bar for that piece of audio? Have you tried rendering it?
Re-rendering is a pain if you are trying to make adustments in real-time. Keep in mind that filters will use one or more of your Real-Time Audio Mixing Tracks. Some pointers here:
Temporarily increase the number of RT Audio mixing tracks in the User Prefs. This should require less rendering as you adjust.
Use the mute and solo controls on the left of the timeline to mute tracks you are not adjusting - Unlike using the green "audible" buttons next to the tracks, muting or soloing will not delete all your audio renders in your sequence.
Try tearing off the effects tab from your audio clip in the viewer. This may allow you to preview the audio from the viewer by itself, though I think that when you go back to the effects, it will probably sync the timeline playback again and you'll hear all the timeline tracks, with all the limitations that go with it.
    Hope this helps -

  • Audio Filter missing:  Internal Volume Stereo - corrupt project?

    Hi,
I am getting this error when I open my project. In addition, no media will play in the project either in the sequence window or the source window.
It all appears and will scrub (with no audio), but will not play.
I dug around a bit and I found that there is a known bug with audio from XML's and that is what I am using (convinced my client to migrate from FCP to Premiere - please don't tell me I made a mistake).
Everything worked brilliantly for a week, including the addition of audio filters, and then all of a sudden - bang. No more.
I have painstakingly deleted every audio filter and I am still getting this error. I have also tried a re-install.
Another oddity is that when I try to quit Premiere, it will not quit all the way without a force quit!
I'm running CC 2014 on a brand new mac pro.
    Desperate,
    dw

    Steve and Bill,
I follow your advice, but it did not solve the problem. It is true  that  problems began when I used ZOOM recorder at 98kHz/24 bit in my current project (I already changed ZOOM mode to 48kHz/16 bit), but could this be just a coincidence?
In the meantime I checked the rest of my 16 projects (.prel), which were fine before. To my surprise I found that although all of them were made using EXACTLY the same method, some of them are still OK, but most I can not Playback. The messages appearing are of three types:
    1. "Audio Filter missing: Internal Balance".
    2. "Audio Filter missing: Internal Volume Stereo".
    3. "This type of file is not supported or required codec is not installed".
In one case, when I opened a project the first time, the message was "This type of file is not supported or required codec is not installed", but when I opened it second time it said " Audio Filter missing:Internal Volume Stereo". It seems to be random.
Some projects can be opened, but when I try to Playback  there is no sound.
I am completly lost. Please help.

  • Premiere CS4 Audio Effects Only Work On Latter Half Of Each Audio Clip

I'm currently working with Premiere CS4 on a Windows 7 PC and running into some audio issues when exporting the video. In the timeline when I playback the preview the audio sounds fine but when I export it the audio effects I applied in Premiere only work half the time. Each audio clip will play in it's raw form for a few seconds and then halfway through playing the Premiere audio effects will turn on. I have two audio tracks in my timeline, one for music and the other for narration. There are 10 video tracks in total for various masks, overlays, title, etc.
The sequence has 18 audio clips in total and each one has a separate EQ, Highpass, Volume, and Denoiser effect on it (most are similar but are fine tuned for each clip). So far I've tried exporting as an AVI, MP4, and WMV but each has the same issue. I've also tried exporting with and without the "Use Preview Files" option on the Adobe Media Encoder to no avail.
Has anyone else ever encountered this type of issue before or have any ideas on how to fix it?

Posting for anyone else who comes across this issue:
I was able to fix this by taking all of my audio clips and nesting them in a new sequence, which was then moved to the main sequence. I kept all the effects on their individual clips.

  • PPro CS4 - half of audio is missing from exported files

    Hi all.
I'm currently working on a project in PPro CS4, and by that I mean that I've already completed the project. It was exported and uploaded to youtube for my boss, no problems. Then he asked me to combine the two videos, so I copied the second half of the video and pasted it onto the first half's sequence. The settings I used for the two sequences were the same. When I play the video in PPro everything works fine. When I export the video, however, the audio is missing from the second half of the video (the half I copied). The second half audio is on the same track as the first half of the audio, so the audio levels on the exported video should be exactly the same.
I've been browsing the forums and looking at troubleshooting pages but I still haven't found a solution to the problem. The video is intact; only the second half of the audio is missing. I have no idea why it's doing this or how to fix it.
    I'd appreciate any input.
    -RD

Yes, if he is exporting one file of video and audio then either the entire track is exported
or only the work area bar is exported for both video and audio. If he is exporting video and audio separately THEN they might be different lengths.
You might right-click the audio for the second section and select Audio to see if it is muted.
Try exporting the audio alone without video, listen to the audio in Windows Medica player and listen if all or only half of it exported. If all of it exported, then that narrows the problem.
You might try creating a new Sequence and pasting the video and audio into the new Sequence (don't just duplicate the sequence, that may just duplicate the problem). Then export and see if that circumvented the problem.
What format are you exporting to?
