Batch Search Strategy works for one plant while doesn't for other plant....

Hi Experts,
I have configured Batch Search Strategy for Transfer posting of consigh goods (311K).
The Batch search is working fine for one plant while it is not for another plant. The msg. says 'The CLASS does not contain any Selection criteria'.
This same CLASS is proposing the batches for the first plant. the selection criteria is 'Consign Stock - type K'
Please advise this is very urgent..

Hi,
Goto OMCE transaction check the batch level here check the batch level where it is activated whether is it at Plant level or Material level or Client level.

I am new to e-Recruiting, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
We are in the process of configuring the SAP e-recruiting module on an existing HCM system. It is only a demo system.
We started off with the IDES, with SAP sample data.
We activated the BSPs via SICF.
We generated the BSP URLs via program rcf_generate_urls.
We picked two existing employees (PERNRS) in the system and linked test IDs (USERID1, USERID2) to them in infotype 105. Both USERID1 and USERID2 have BASIS/Superuser authorizations.
When USERID1 runs the recruiter startpage it displays the page correctly. Pernr of USERID1 has a Candidate(NA Object) linked to it's CP object.
When USERID2 runs the recruiter start page it gives an internal error. This Id's pernr does not have a candidate object.
Should there be a NA object for every CP object? Does any one have some business process guides that may help us understand the relationships between the objects?
Please advise.

Hello Amina,
not everyone should have a candidate (NA) object, every one MUST have a candidate object. No matter which role someone plays within the e-recruiting system (recruiter, manager, admin, internal candidate, external candidate, talent manager, ...) he needs a candidate to work with the system.
Assuming you have an ERP2005 (= E-Recruiting 600) you can use report RCF_USER_CREATE to create users for test purposes. For the productive environment you have to set up HR -> E-recruiting integration and can run HRALXSYNC to create candidates for existing employees.
I am not sure how much business process documentation there is in sap help. I have to admit I prefere learning from the system. Perhaps a very rough overview:
e-rec brings the following objects:
NA - Candidate
NB - Requisition / Application Group
NC - Posting
ND - Application
NE - Candidacy
NF - Talent Group
furthermore e-recruting uses some additional objects from the hr base and other components (P Employee, CP Central Person, US User, BP Business Partner, O OrgUnit, S Position, QK qualification group, Q qualification, VA/VB/VC Questionaire and its elements)
NA - The candidate is the central representation of everyone in e-recruiting. A Candidate is always linked to a CP which is linked to a BP and a US. If the person is an employee the CP is linked to the P object, too. (Hint: for integrated systems the user for an employee is not linked in HRP1001 but retrieved from IT0105 directly, e-recruiting uses a standard function of HR here, the hr function modules for reading object releations virtualize this assingment as hrp1001 relation).
NB - The NB object has currently 3 slightly different tasks. As requisition it is the internal view for an internal/external hiring request, it defines what you are looking for e.g. "ABAP programer, 40 hours/week, place of work London, ..". As application group it allows to accept applications for "areas" where you have currently no exact position to hire but regularely look for canditates. Application groups channalize unsolicited applications e.g. Interns, Engineers. Third usage is the requisition for succession planning - not really important.
NC - Posting is supposed to be the outside view. It contains the texts for the requisition published in the different channels. as you might to use a different text for the different media a requisition can have several postings. A posting has one or more posting instances / publications. They are not an hr object type, they define the channel with publication duration and language where you publish your posting.
ND - The application can be compared with the hardcover application. If a candidate applies he creates an application. The application is linked to the candidate of course and as the candidate applies through a certain channel the application is linked to the posting.
NE - The candidacy is the assignment to a requisition. You could say it is the task / intention to check a candidate for the requisition so it is linked to the requisition and the candidate. As the candidate applies for the job described by the requisition (application group are treated the same here) an application is always linked to at least one candidacy. If a recruiter decides based on the candidates profile that he is interesting for another open positions he can add more candidacies to the application to check the candidate for these requisitions. There is also the posibilit that you create a candidacy w/o application. Every external who applied and every employee is in the system even if he has no active application. External candidates can even register to the system w/o applying. You can check this pool for suitable candidate an assign them to a requisition. This is a candidacy w/ an application. You can later request a candidate to apply to this requisition but it is theoretical possible to process the complete hiring just with a candidacy.
NF The Talent group is used to structure the huge amount of candidates in the pool. E.g. you can form a talent group "High Potentials - Design Engineers". You can use these groups to easier find suitable known candidates if a matching requisition is opened. But they are also needed for pool development. For short applicant groups you can track them and try to stick with your company till you get the right opening for them.
The other object are linked to this core. Qualifications are linked to requisitions as requirement and linked to candidates of course. OrgUnits and Positions can be linked to requisitions to link to OM. Questionaires are assigned to candidates at all for general appraisal or to candidacies to appraise the suitability for the requisition or to track interview, assessment results.
There ore other "objects" in e-recruiting which are not represented by an OTYPE. One example is mentioned above the publication. Others are recruiting team and recruiting plan. If you need information to one of these just post another reply.

Hi Experts,
I need to create a new condition record or change a condition records using the transactions VCH1 and VCH2 respectively.
But BDC recording should not be used at any cost (acc to Client).
So next go for me is to search for a BAPI or any Function modules..
Can anyone please help me in this regard.....

I have a typical problem while perfoming GI through pick list (co27).I have given the Production Order No and standard pick profile (00002) , it was taking me to batch determination .While clicking on the batch detemination , it is giving me the above massages : No search Strategy could be found .When I am exploring in the "Strategy Information " , it is not showing me any Sort Rule " SORT_BY_Batch" .I want this to be populated by defauly while clikcing on the Strategy Info.
Can any body give an idea .

I got your problem.
U r tyring to do batch determination for pick list. But u have defined the batch search strategy in COB1 which is for batch determination for process orders ( in component overview).
U need to create the search strategy using MBC1 (use strategy type ME01 , Plant, material, mvmnt type). This triggers the batch determination in inventory management, which is ur requirement.
Maintain the search strategy for thsi combination ( give the movement type ( for ex. 261) which will be used while u execute the pick list)
Please get back after trying out this.

If you want to set up Batch search strategy based on goods receipt date......then you have to create GR Date as one charecteristics in T.Code: CT04 and assign this charecter in Class with respect to class type 023
Then assign this class in Material Master Classification view..
Make sure in Material master, Purchasing view...you have activated Batch management active check box....
Then when ever you do GR in MIGO, In batch tab, In classification field maintain the GR Date..
Then Create sort sequence in T.Code: CU70 and you can maintain in what basis ie)in assending or desending GR Date you have to search the batch..
And then Create Batch Search Statergy in MBC1 and there you assign the sort sequence in Details...
Now you do your regular procedings.....the material Batch will be searched based on GR Date...

I have a requirement to filter the Batch Search Strategy Type in a BADI. For example, I have a Strategy Type ZD01 which is a Customer/Material combination. This has been created and checking VCH3 confirms that.
For example, I am implementing BADI VB_BD_SELECTION~PRESELECT_BATCHES and will put the filtering in there. For example, I go to transaction VL01n then create outbound delivery with order reference, in the PRESELECT_BATCHES portion, I will do a filtering that if Batch Search Strategy Type = ZD01, then do some code.
My problem is, I don't know how to retrieve the Strategy Type. I can use the parameters I_KOMKH-KUNNR (Customer) and I_KOMPH-MATNR (Material) of method PRESELECT_BATCHES to retrieve the Strategy Type but I don't know how.

Batch search strategy in WM material staging

Hello all,
I have a issue of batch determination when I do WM material staging through transaction LP12 & further TO creation through transaction LB13.
We have set a batch search strategy in transaction LS51 for WM/Movement level i.e. for WM02. We have defined a search strategy for movt. type 319 with criteria as Shelf life expiry date is >1 day & defined a sort rule as ascending order. Hence our expectation is that system should automatically search for available material batch with First shelf life expiration date. However, we found that the system is picking up the batch which is having shelf expiration date later than the batch available in system which is having early expiry date. I am unable to trace the cause for this . As I know the batch search strategy for WM TO related setting is in LS51 & we have already maintained the same as explained earlier.
Can anybody help me in resolving this issue? Do you know anything more specific settings required to fix up this problem.

You need to configure WM Stringent FIFO strategy forstock removal in this scenario. Other Strategies for stock removal don't always guarantee that stock is picked in the order of nearest SLED. Please check

That problem isn't related to Private Browsing specifically, that's how Firefox works with regards to multiple "sessions" with the same server - only one logon is allowed at any time. Try using one of these extensions to be able to run multiple session cookies.

As per my process order requirement, i converted transfer requirement in to transfer order in warehouse and confirm the transfer order. During conversion the system picks as batch as per FIFO. If there is only one batch there is no problem. if there is more than one batch then, there is a problem during goods issue
When i am doing goods issue for my process order, system picks only one batch. For other batch i have to do one more time goods issue. I didnot do any stock determination during goods issue. What may be problem.

Assigning Batch search strategy to material-batch key

I am facing one strange problem. I am creating process order in COR1 for my finished goods FIN1. I have maintained BOM for FIN1 & assigned Semi finished goods SEM1, SEM2 as a BOM component.
I have maintained enough stock of SEM1in batches. Now i am releasing my process order. For component SEM1, the system is automatically assigning the batch number
I have noticed in my process order, for component SEM1 has 2 items, the batch key is as "2" (sytem automatically sets this value) but also has ths same component item, the batch key is as "1", required quantity is 0
Why? What is the importance of this "Batch Key"?

Dear,
You have define Batch Strategy with number of splits "say 99", so that system will allow 99 splits for a component while Batch determination.
This is a definition basically for a combination of condition type and access sequence in COB1 you can check in COB3
Suppose materail
SEM1 required quantity is 100 and you have three batches say 50, 70 20,
So system will pick up two batches batch key is as "2"
If requirement quantity is more than 120 then system will paick up three batches and batch key will be "3"
SEM2 there is no requirement of quantity so system showing the batch key is as "1"

Like sampath has suggested, you have to find out the strategy type you are using for your batch determination strategy and maintain in tht system via tocde LS51thenonly system will find out the batch or of you don't want the batch automatic strategy for this movement then you have to remove from the config for thi mtype.

What are the difference between the strategy types - Order type/Plant/Mat, Order type/Plant, Prod Material?
For Order type/Plant combination- If my criteria is to do automatic batch determination at process order release against the sort rule characteristics (LOBM_LWERT) GR received date. I maintained LOBM_LWERT in all material classes, now in selection criteria which class I will choose as different materials contain different class in the class type 023.
I am confused.
In case of Order type/Plant/mat- number of master data is huge.
