Batch Session data change

We want to process the large number of sessions by changing one date field in the session. We know if we process the session in foreground we can change the date but this is practically possible if you have small number of sessions . So this option is Ruled Out. Please give some innovative idea to overcome this issue.
Thanks in Advance..
Thanks,
Raman

Hi Ankesh,
I have 60 thousand transactions in the session and more over..when it is downloaded it may have 30 laks in .txt format...
For the same..When I tried to download...I got an error
"Error occurred downloading file   C:\Documents and Settings\nex3vhj\Desktop\Session\    SY-SUBRC=      16" ...
How to know the correct error for the same...Is it because of size or anyother reason because i am able to download small files...

  • Reportservertempdb - calculate amount of session data

Is it possible to calculate the amount of "Session Data" needed for processing a specific report?
I notice when processing reports in batch, session data needed can be 100 times the amount of the final output.I wonder whether this is a bug in our situation or the tempdb works as designed.

Check out the ExecutionLog3 view in the ReportServer DB.  There is lots of useful information, such as "Byte count", which tells you how much memory, in KB, the report took to build the report.  Byte count isn't an indicator of the final reports
size, just how much memory it used to build it.  Here's a good web page with some other details about the view...

  • How can I recover from a Botched BATCH DATE CHANGE in iPhoto?

    Botched Batch Date Change iPhoto08
Short Story: Intending to change the date for one photo I managed to change the dates for all 8,525 images in my iPhoto08 library to the SAME DATE!! I found that the original creation dates were saved in the in the Modified field that appears in the Photo Info Window / File metadata subsection. I would like some help figuring out how to set the Date Created to this File Modified Date that appears in the Photo Info Window.
    GORY DETAILS:
I used iPhoto08/ Photos menu / BATCH CHANGE... /“Set DATE to 20100723 1:20:54 PM” with “Modify original files” checked. iPhoto changed all 8,525 images to the same date.
I now realize I should have used Photos menu / Adjust Date and Time ... But the damage was already done. Unfortunately there was no Edit menu / Undo for this operation. ALL 8,525 images have the same date. I checked in the the iPhoto Information sidebar--same date all images.
Next, as a test, I dragged an image to the desktop and opened it in Graphic Converter7.0.3. The same date “20100723 1:20:54 PM” appeared in the Image Browser List /”Date Created”, “Date Modified”, “Date Captured” metadata fields.
The following appeared in the Graphic Converter
Image Preview sidebar (subWindow) going left to right
    Image menu/button
Date and Time: Friday, July 23, 2010 1:20:54 PM PT
    Exif menu/button

Date and time of original data generation: 2010:07:23 13:20:54

<<<<<<OH MY GOD >>>>>> the BATCH CHANGE / SET DATE not only RESET the date for EVERY IMAGE in my library, it also changed the date metadata EVERYWHERE inside each individual image file.
Actually it's my Mom and Dad's iPhoto library containing all the kids and grand kids pictures, family trips, important events, everything. There is no backup. I feel as if I have tipped over a file cabinet containing all our photos. Our “date and event” organized 8,525 image iPhoto library was now as useful as a giant shoebox. On second thought, a shoe box full of real photo prints would be more useful than my iPhoto library because the prints would have the print date stamped on them.
At this point feeling desperate I closed my eyes and said a quick prayer to Saint Rita - Patron Saint of the Impossible.
I returned to iPhoto .................and noticed the Show Photo Info MENU item in the Photo Menu.
    I selected it.
    And Low and behold,
    in the Photo Info WINDOW,
under the Meta data File SUBSECTION, the correct photo creation date appeared -->" Modified: 20071002 05:46:07 PM" I checked different photos ... They all had different FILE MODIFIED dates. These dates were/are the old creation dates! My prayers were answered: THANK YOU SAINT RITA!
But now I am really stumped! This File Modified Date seems to be some kind of external metadata that is indexed or keyed to each image. How is this metadata stored in the iPhoto library? How can I access this File Modified date? I now turn to you GREAT iPhoto WIZARDS. Pray tell, how can I set the “Creation Date to the file Modified Date” that appears in the Photo Info Window as a (scriptable?) batch process.
I am on my knees for this one...please help. we have iphoto11 but afraid to upgrade to it. until i know more i don't want to loose this Modified Date metadata.

    thanks for the quick response...
no simple solution because no backup to restore from
iPhoto seems to be using file metadata as some sort of index key in the
Photo Info Window. open up the iphoto library package and take a look at
the .xml file -- ModDate is used everywhere. hoping to export this data and merge/join it to
    each image.
still trying to figure it out.
    thanks,
    Tom

  • Splitting events after batch date change causes event to disappear

    Hi all,
The basic (repeatable) scenario is this:
o I scan in a bunch of old pictures I want to keep in iPhoto (lets say 10)
o I import them into iphoto (no problems with import) 1 event with 10 pictures is created.
o I then take a specific set of 4 photos and split them out of the main event into a new event (everything still ok) - 2 events, 4 and 6 events respectively.
o I open the new event and do a batch date change on the 4 pictures, changing the date to the correct date of the picture
o I exit the event expecting it to move up in the list of events (I sort by date). It's gone! iPhoto lists the 1 new event and its 6 photos
o I change my sort (by time, by name, etc) and still not there.
o I find my library in finder, open the package, and the files are still there.
o I go back to iPhoto and click on "Photos". Walla! 10 pictures!
o I undo the data change and they show up again in events - 2 new events, 10 total pictures.
I've already done all the obvious checks (are you sorting by date, look up by even name, search by file name through all events etc.) I've talked with a product specialist and they said the standard "rebuild the library" which did not resolve the issue.
I can repeat this until the cows come home in the existing library. I've created a brand new library and it does not repeat, do there is something in my library not right. But I don't buy the standard "redo your library from scratch" (36K pictures, 50 faces and hundreds of places). Just like with faces, you can discard the db files, there must be something besides "rebuild automatically and if that doesn't work sorry start over". Was iPhoto coded in Redmond?
Has anyone had anything similar to this? I looked through the forums and couldn't see anything. If I have to rebuild this, I am done with iPhoto after having to rebuild due to faces too many times, and my question changes to what are folks recommendations for a more stable photo management software suite?
    Thanks!
    HOTG

If the problem doesn't repeat in another Library then obviously the issue is with that library.
As you've tried the basic rebuild: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
The obvious solution is to restore a good version from your back up and, er, Walla! as you say yourself.
Next least destructive option: Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Batch date change problem in iPhoto

I have hundreds of printed photos I scanned in 2009. Even though they were taken over three decades iPhoto thinks they were all taken in 2009. I separated them into years, numbered them, and put them in folders which became events. I tried using batch date change -- the first one in the event is OK, but the others changed  all different. Example: I changed picture one, in event folder "1999" from 3/5/2009 to 1/1/1999. All of the rest of the pictures changed to the same time difference that they were when I scanned them. I didn't scan them all in chronological order, so that doesn't help at all. Do I have to manually change each of my 9000 photos? This is a problem when I try to show a chronological slide show on Apple TV.

Scanned photos do not have an EXIF Capture Date field in the file like photos taken with a digital camera do.  Therefore iPhoto uses the file created date or import date for those photos.
You will have to group all 1999 photos into an album, arrange them in the order you want and then use the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option and add a 1 minute or so between photos.
Then do the same for the next year's photos.

  • Change name of batch session in fast entry

    Hi all,
we want to record changes with PA70 in a batch session. Unfortunatly the system generates a name for this session but our users only have specific authorisations for certain names.
Does anyone know, if I can change the name in the fast entry screen or give any other hint. The authorisations <b>cannot</b> be changed and the users <b>must not</b> use the direct input.
    Thanks
    Michael

    HI Michael,
I don't think you have an option to change the Session name here.. the Groupid ie the session name gets defaulted based on the Infotype you select for input.. which  in your case is PA700014.. this happens inside the std function module HR_CONVERT_FIELDS_FROM_INFOSET.. infoset here being the Infotype selected.. You may be better off modifying your checks to allow session names with PA70* for your Users..

  • BDC - Session Method - No batch input data for screen  SAPMZ_TPSCREEN02 100

    Hi ABAP Experts,
I have written a Dialog Program For a Screen Which contains 5 fields namely,
    carrid,
    connid,
    fldate,
    price,
    planetype.
I have written the PAI logic to insert whatever entries entered in the fields, into Database Table SFLIGHT.
I created a Transaction and Tested whether the entries are succesfully entetered into the Database Table and it works just fine.
Now i planned to write a BDC program for the above Transaction so that i can upload data to the Database table from a flat file.
I went to SHDB transaction and created a new recording and transferred the program to generate a source code.
    include bdcrecx1.
    start-of-selection.
    loop at itab.
    perform open_group.
    perform bdc_dynpro      using 'SAPMZ_TPSCREEN02' '1000'.
    perform bdc_field       using 'BDC_OKCODE'
                                  '=CREA'.
    perform bdc_field       using 'BDC_CURSOR'
                                  'SFLIGHT-PLANETYPE'.
    perform bdc_field       using 'SFLIGHT-CARRID'
                                  'AA'.
    perform bdc_field       using 'SFLIGHT-CONNID'
                                  '0017'.
    perform bdc_field       using 'SFLIGHT-FLDATE'
                                  '11/01/2007'.
    perform bdc_field       using 'SFLIGHT-PRICE'
                                  '767'.
    perform bdc_field       using 'SFLIGHT-PLANETYPE'
                                  'A310-200F'.
    perform bdc_transaction using 'Z_TPSCREEN02'.
    perform close_group.
Then i defined an internal table which contains the same fields as those in my Screen and Transaction.
I populated the internal table from a flat file using GUI_UPLOAD function module.
I want to clarify - I got this flat file by using the GUI_DOWNLOAD module and later i uploaded the same file using GUI_UPLOAD.
I tested whether the internal table is populated or not using LOOP  AT ITAB. WRITE Statements.
    Its working just fine.
Finally my code look like this.
    report ZVMREC

    perform bdc_transaction using 'Z_TPSCREEN02'.
    perform close_group.
    endloop.
I checked for errors, activated and executed.
I gave session name and executed, it generated same number of sessions as number of records.
I went to SM35 and Processed one of the sessions in foreground.
It brought my screen up with all fields fill up by the fields of first record in the internal table and with
    OK Code popping up.
    I check the OK Code.
Now the problem has come up, its says
*No batch input data for screen SAPMZ_TPSCREEN02 1000 *
My session was now incorrectly processed,
Please help me to fix this problem.
I searched so many forums and google it a lot.
But i didn't find any clue.
Kindly take your time and have a look at this problem and let me know how can i fix it.
    Thank you very much all.

  • Change session Date/Time

    Hi,
How could I change the session Date/Time without changing server Date/Time?
    Cheers
    Soheil

Using the nls parameters it is possible to change to a different calendar type but I believe you will have to run a utility to which you supply the calendar. There is also a parameter to set the sysdate to a fixed value for testing, fixed_date, but I believe that is instance wide.
Here are the nls parameters from v$nls_parameters. You will need to pull the manuals for more information:

  • Wait for Session Data status does not change in EWA

The hour glass next to the early watch alert in the solution manager system has the status "wait for session data". The SDCCN in the satellite system has the RFC configured correctly and the RFC is working fine when tested. I have installed the latest ST-PI and ST-A/PI for my basis release 640 on the satellite system. The basis release of the solution manager is 701. The self diagnosis button in solution manager does not list any errors or warnings for that satellite system.
There are no errors in the task Refresh Session task in the satellite system's SDCCN:
Refresh of session overview started from destination SM_R3SCLNT001_BACK
    > Sessions are up to date
Refresh of session overview completed from destination SM_R3SCLNT001_BACK
Any ideas why I can't generate the EWA in the solution manager system?

Hello, I've got the same problem, went through the note, but it didn't solve my problem.
Here I can say, that several points from the note are NOT clear (typically SAP...):
I am falling in the category with ST-PI ... or newer.
    - SDCCN:
Delete any task 'Maintenance Package' in the 'To do' tab.
Ensure that no connection to SAP is maintained in:
SDCCN-> Goto -> Settings -> Task specific -> RFC destinations.
<so I deleted all the RFCs in that location>
Ensure that connection 'NONE' is maintained, and that the 'master' flag is set.
<surprisingly, now there is a connection that has to be maintained!! Also the 'master' flag is always grayed out for me and never clickable!!>
Create a new periodic task 'Maintenance Package'.
    <Not working, until I added back my SM_<SID>CLNT<No>_BACK connection>
    - Step 2:
    Re-import the service definitions, c)
They are saying how to setup the destinations, but NOT how to import the service definitions!
So, not really sure how to interpret and apply the note... Please help! The satellite system is NetWeaver 7.3 EHP1, Solution Manager 7.1 SPS10.
It goes on... I found this link:
    http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CDMQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwiki.scn.sa…
With it, I could transfer the data to the solution manager, but I can only see 'Data is available', when I click it and tell it to start the job, SM:EXEC SERVICES 000000000400100 runs for 6-7 seconds and completes successfully, though the EWA report still says 'Data is available', but no report is being generated. I also re-executed the job SM:EXEC SERVICES and still nothing.

  • Shared Session Data

    Hello Everyone,
I have a problem that I could not seem to find a solution or best methods and practices for.
I have session level data abstracted by a package API and accessed query-inline via a table function. All this works fine; however, there is one caveat that does not. The query SQL is passed to a jobs table and executed by a scheduled job. So the job session can not see the user session data.
    Is there a way to:
    1) Share Session data?
    2) define a table as containing Session temporary data, but public scope?
    3) Group Sessions or grant session privileges (to share scope)?
    4) Run a process/job under a different Session ID, or with specific Session privileges?
    5) Call a procedure or function from one session, but have it Execute under a different session?
As it stands, I can either copy the data out to a permanent table (and manually implement Session ID, and Session level cleanup), change the current API and underlying global temporary table to a permanent table (and again manually implement Session ID, and Session level cleanup), or before job scheduling parse the SQL, and expand the function table data into the SQL statically.
None of these are solutions I like. I am looking for something more elegant. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
*EDIT: sorry, I forgot to add; I'm using Oracle 10g.
    Thank you for your time.

As a job is a brand new session that is created to execute the supplied PL/SQL code. This process does not create the session by inheriting the environment (name space details, temp tables, transactions) of the session that submitted the job.
Imagine the complexities of this when the session that created the job, terminated 24 hours ago.... would it session state (if kept persistent) still apply? And what about the complexities dealing with the overheads to somehow and somewhere store this session data for the job to re-use.
Nope.. this is not a workable solution (and nor a sensible one), so Oracle does not support it. When a job is executed, a brand new session is created for that job. (not entirely correct at a technical level as the job queue process may already exist and already have a session - but conceptually, think of a brand new session for a job).
    Is there a way to:
    1) Share Session data? What session data specifically? And what about a session that long since ceased to exist? What about session data that is dynamic and changing? Should then job see the version of that data at the time it was submiited? At the time is started execution? Or the data as it is currently within that session?
    2) define a table as containing Session temporary data, but public scope?Does not need to have a "public scope". It can be managed via an API (PL/SQL), using the job number as unique reference number. It is even possible to create low level access control on such a table that only the job and no-one else can even see the data in that table, except for the job.
    3) Group Sessions or grant session privileges (to share scope)?Nope.
    4) Run a process/job under a different Session ID, or with specific Session privileges?Which session privileges? Remember that each session has two basic memory areas - the PGA (Process Global Area) and UGA (User Global Area). Both are private and non-sharable.
    5) Call a procedure or function from one session, but have it Execute under a different session?Nope.
As it stands, I can either copy the data out to a permanent table (and manually implement Session ID, and Session level cleanup), change the current API and underlying global temporary table to a permanent table (and again manually implement Session ID, and Session level cleanup), or before job scheduling parse the SQL, and expand the function table data into the SQL statically.Still not sure what you imply with session data.
In my case I have a process API (running on top of DBMS_JOB ) that developers use to schedule jobs (it manages external processes, mostly used for collecting data from other non-db servers). In some cases, the caller is a Virtual Private Database (VPDB) session - with a name space that contains the keys and tokens and what not that is required for access control and security. The name space cannot be copied across to the job.
So as part of the process API that creates the job, a logon/authentication/authorisation call is added. With the calling session username. This is the same call that would have been made when the user session was created at logon time. And this call creates the name space that contains the keys and tokens required. Thus creating that batch (job) session in the background, uses the same initialisation processing that an interactive session (created from the app server) would use. The code running in that job is oblivious to the fact that the session was not created via an interactive logon from the app server.
None of these are solutions I like. I am looking for something more elegant. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If you truly want an IPC mechanism between two sessions in Oracle, two methods come to mind. Database pipes. Advance Queuing.
This is not really that complex to implement. IPC itself is not difficult. The difficult part is designing the code around cross-session communication and have that work effectively and efficiently. And within the database session context, this can be not only quite difficult to do, but also not always the very sensible thing to do.

  • No batch input data for screen SAPMF02K 0101 for transaction XK02

    Hello Friends,
I am Trying to change detaisl of Vendor using IDOC for T code XK02, I am getting an error in background
No batch input data for screen SAPMF02K 0101
    Message no. 00344
When I execute in foreground it is working fine.
    Diagnosis
The transaction sent a screen that was not expected in the batch input session and which therefore could not be supplied with data.
    Possible reasons:
    1. The batch input session was created incorrectly. The sequence of screens was recordly incorrectly.
    2. The transaction behaves differently in background processing in a batch work process than when running in dialog (SY-BATCH is queried and changes the screen sequence).
    3. The transaction has undergone user-specific Customizing and therefore certain screens may be skipped or processed differently, according to the current user. If the person who created a batch input session is not the same as the person now processing it, this problem may occur frequently.

just info: as u seen in the 3rd point, if u r running onlien, its recorded on ur user id, but, where as for back ground, the user lke WF_BATCH.........so, for this user, the settings may b different from a dialog user, in terms of  screen sequence, pop-ups. mandatory fields.
So, i guess, u r missing to populate a input field, which is mandatory. May be by suing sy-batch IF condition, u hv to change CTU_PARAMS values, like sy-batin = 'X'......actually, these day si dont hv SAP access, so, pls. check some terms in this response.

  • Waveburner;  a few Questions regarding track files and Session Data

After a bit of negotiating, I'm almost ready to burn. Was having problems with file locations and discovered that i had multiple files in different locations. Those have been eliminated and all relative track files are in one place now with the Song Data File as well.
I then re-imported the individual aif tracks only to find that all of my fades and edits are GONE. It appears that I may have to DO THEM ALL OVER AGAIN! Please tell me that there is a work around.
Is it possible to import only the Session Data related to the fades and edits(everything but the actual audio files), so as to avoid all this "do-again" work?
I was also wonder if it is necessary, or perhaps a good idea, to change the File INFO for each of the individual audio track files from "OpenWith" iTunes (default setting) to "Open With": WAVEBURNER ?. (selectable on the aiff files, "Show More Info" window
Currently the aif files are set to "OpenWith" iTunes (default)
    One last question please.
Is Waveburner really up to snuff? How many people are using this for Mastering and Burning CD's? I'm about to start inserting some AU Mastering Plug Ins and I'm hoping for the best. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You're grammer isn't bad jord, it was I who asked a plethora of questions under one Subject heading.
When i open the project file(.wb3),
    The prompt says;
"Please choose a replacement from the list below:"
    /Volumes/320GB HD/Users/ahuihou/.Trash/1 Track 01.aiff
    /Volumes/320GB HD/Users/ahuihou/.Trash/2 Track 02.aiff
    /Volumes/320GB HD/Users/ahuihou/.Trash/3 Track 03.aiff
    /Volumes/320GB HD/Users/ahuihou/.Trash/4 Track 04.aiff
    /Volumes/320GB HD/Users/ahuihou/.Trash/6 Track 06.aiff
As you can see the files are in the trash.
The first problem is that there are no actual files in the trash. Just an icon of a CD Disc which was dragged there to eject it, It is no longer in the disc drive/tray. Perhaps i should put the disc back in the drive and then update/replace the files afterwords. (The CD is scratched.)
The strange thing is that i can still preview the track that's in the trash by selecting More Info and playing it on the little Quicktime player bar. I guess the file is in a cache somewhere?
I've looked everywhere on all drives for the specific files but can not find them anywhere.
In the Replacement prompt there is a place that I can check to "Search in the same folder for subsequent files" button on the "Replacement" prompt.
which "same folder" is it refering to?
The Trash folder where the old files are or the Folder where the actual .wb3 project file is? I do have all of the correctly named song files/regions in the same folder with the project file.
maybe i should just start again. i'm not one to give up easy though and would much prefer to "beat" the computer at the game.

    hibernate-commons-annotations.jar

    hibernate3.jar

Any Help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like you have two different versions of a class in the two applications.
If you change a class implementation and recompile - the updated class gets a new UID. Looks like maybe one app has a jar with the older class and the other app has a jar with the new class.
