Batch time adjustment?

I have a roll of pictures taken in Europe, but the camera's time was never corrected. Can I do a batch change to all the pics adding nine hours to the time?

I've the same problem, and it drives me crazy as I used to use the "Batch change..." menu item to do it on a previous version of iPhoto (4 or 5 ?).
I'm really disappointed Apple removed the "Add / Remove time" (or something like that) choice in version 6

  • Applying time adjustment twice.

I guess the time adjustment works on what is showing, not on the original photo time. I used Batch Change twice on some photos because some of them weren't imported with the time adjustment, so I thought, what the heck I'm just telling it the camera time (always UTC) and the local time zone, so if I do it again it shouldn't matter (I'm assuming Aperture is looking at the original photo time capture). But Aperture does the shift twice. I see this as a bug, but maybe my thinking is wrong.
This happens frequently for me because I use two camera's and also my girl friends pictures, and when I'm importing I sometimes forget to set the time adjustment.
    Update:
I dug into the library and the original photo has not been change and "Date Time Original" and "Date Time Digitized" are still the correct UTC zone. (But we all knew that since Aperture never changes the original.) Why can't I use this as the basis for resetting the "Image Date"?

    Hi all,
A developer came to me saying that he put a 11gr2 table into default compression mode which was already in default compresssion mode. After that 32GB of table got compressed to 26GB. How is this possible? Is it that it is double compressed?
Right now I do not have access to that database nor do I know how to find what happed there. Only thing I can think of is that , the table was originally put in compression in 11gr1 and then again applied compression in 11gr2,so some algorithm enhancement might have done this.
    Any thoughs?
with this I am also wondering what happens when enahancements are introduced in any feature I mean let say in case of compression if a algorithm enhanced will the enahancement be applied on the whole table or the data that will be inserted/updated post such upgrade?multiple compression option available in 11gR2 with different compression level.
    see complete detail
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e25494/tables002.htm#ADMIN11630
and Compression can occur while data is being inserted, updated, or bulk loaded into a table.

  • Batch time change tool similar to iPhoto?

Good day. I was wondering if (and how!) I could do a batch time change, using incremental times of 3 minutes between scanned images, with a group of images. I have several hundred images that were scanned at different times and I really don't care to change the date and time of each one individually.
I know that I can do this work in iPhoto and import into Aperture...that's what I have always done in the past. Is there a way to do this so I can combine this into one step and work only in Aperture? A download, plug-in, etc?
    Thanks for your help!

Ah...the ole work around....used iPhoto, set the preferences to not copy the files to iPhoto, created an album, manually moved the photos into correct order, ran the batch change with incremental time between each photo with modify original files checked, deleted photos out of iPhoto which preserves the original file with the new date stamp cause not copied but references, went back to Aperture and imported fresh....ALL GOOD!

  • NI 1772 camera exposure time adjustment resolution

What is the exposure time adjustment resolution capability for the NI 1772 camera?  I'm getting only 10ms.  Can I get 5 or even 1ms resolution?

    Hi Rob,
I am unclear what the problem you are seeing is. Vision Builder AI does not appear to impose any restrictions on the granularity of the exposure time. You can put any value with precision down to sub-microsecond levels (no need to go by units of 10 microseconds).
As for the changes in intensity vs exposure time, keep in mind that image sensors and the hardware that reads them don't necessarilly behave linearly and so you may not see such a linear relationship in the data. While you said that you saw no change in intensity from 70us to 80us, were you looking at a single pixel or an average of the entire sensor? If you average it over the whole sensor I think you'll see the difference (although it might be small and less than a single count).

  • Time adjustment problem!!

I accidently entered the wrong information while importing some photos and got the wrong time zone, I then tried to do a batch adjustment to get the correct time and just made matters worse. I am totally confused on how to get the correct adjusted time zone. Can anyone lead me in the right direction on how to either restore the default camera time so that I can then do a batch change to the zone I need or explain to me how I can get the correct zone entered manually.
    Thanks

I agree, Apertures way seems a little counter intuitive but I think they did it that way to account for the time zones being named within Apertures file, not just the time it was shot without any relationship to time zones. That being said what you need to do is make sure the second lines time zone is your actual time zone, then on the first pick out a time zone the correct number of hours in front of or behind you to correct the time difference in the files. \
So if you need to shift the time period an hour later, put in a time zone that is 1 hour behind yours in the "Camera's Time Zone" and put your time zone in the "Actual Time Zone".
Do the opposite for going 1 hour earlier, pick a time zone 1 hour before yours and use yours for the actual time zone.

  • Bulk time adjustment

I recently was on vacation overseas where there's a 6 hour time difference- so all my photos have time that's 6 hours off. Is there any way to adjust this for my photos in bulk as it's for all photos within this particular event. Interesting, but probably common issue for people.

It will Time Shift them all - So select all the pics you want to change and advance them the six hours. They will keep their relationship to each other, but six hours later.
In other words, I have 3 photos- one at 10am, 12:30pm, 1:20pm...I'd like them to each be advance 6 hours to 4pm, 6:30pm, 7:20pm.
    This is what will happen.
Handy tip for a new Mac user? -z will undo the last thing you did, if you have an issue.
If you want to change them all to the same time: use the Batch Change command.

  • Batch time offset ?

I just got back off holiday and have about 450 photos that I took. Of course, I forgot to change the time on the camera, so the time relates to GMT, instead of the local time (Pacific) where the photos were taken. This leads to strange things like a photo in broad daylight having a time taken on 1:30 am !!
What I'd like to do is use the batch function, or Automator, to change the timezone for each photo, or apply a -7 hours adjustment. As far as I can see, iPhoto only allows you to change the date to a fixed specific date/time (with an optional increment between photos). This isn't what I want to do.
Can anyone suggest a method or some third party software to do this ? It must be something that a lot of people do by mistake.

You can batch change date and time with PhotoInfo BUT it has to be done before importing into iPhoto or the changes will not be recognized by iPhoto. iPhoto reads the EXIF data upon import and stroes it in the data file. It doesn't look at the original file's data again. If you can export them, by roll or what ever, to a folder on the desktop you can batch change them and then reimport them. Then delete the original set from iPhoto.
Hope this has been of some help. Good luck.

  • ICM Server Time Adjustment

    Dear All,
We have the Hosted IPCC 7.0 Setup, As we understand the time synchornized with the Domain Controller timing,
When ever we would like to adjust the time 1 or 2 minutes difference we are getting the following error on the NAM router.
Peripheral CVP_PG1_PIM5 (ID 5004) switched to half-hour 32 approximately 161 seconds before the central controller.
Peripheral CVP_PG1_PIM2 (ID 5001) switched to half-hour 32 approximately 161 seconds before the central controller.
We have understood that above mentioned peripheral (CVP Call Servers) timing got changed but none of the ICM machines timing affected.
Due to this problem we are getting the above error. Any body experienced the same kind issue, Kindly share your experience / work around / best practise.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Manivannan

If everything is set to sync their time to the domain, the best thing to do is to change the time on the DC, and let everything change on its own (which it seems you've done).
The message you see is Informational, not necessarily an error.  It is just an indication that your ACD reporting may be slightly off vs. ICM reporting.
As you see, the CVP boxes will change time 'immediately' when it gets a time change message from the domain.
The ICM servers (rtrs, pgs, etc.) will not 'jump' their time ahead/back by the two minutes.  One of the functions of MDS on these servers is to manage ICM time.  ICM time will 'drift' faster or slower by 10% until MDS time matches the system (domain) time.  This is to prevent jumping backward/forward by such large increments.
I.e. if you change your domain time by six minutes, it'll take an hour for ICM time to 'drift' and eventually match the domain time.
IOW - the system is working as designed, and you really shouldn't do anything other than what you did.

  • EXIF time adjustment extension

Currently LR allows only for some kinds of time adjustments in selected sets of images, but in situations in which more than one person, or more than one camera are being used in the same event, the problem is often that the time recorded by the cameras might be off sync in relation to each other.
I would like to suggest an extension to deal with this type of situations. I would like to be able to say something to the effect: Image A1234.raw Camera A was shot after B3456.raw camera B. LR should than take the exif times from A1234 and B3456 and find out the time offset to be applied on A1234, or even on a selected set of images made with a camera A.
Currently I use Exiftool to do it manually, throw all images out from LR and reimport them after the EXIF adjustment, because "sync folder" does not reflect changes done to exif time by Exiftool..

There are several known bugs relating to the way LR handles the time and date fields.

  • Time adjustment in aperture

This is a very specific question that I have not been able to figure out. Two cameras. My D700 was set at the correct time and my first picture was taken at 1PM CDT. My D3 was set at the wrong time at 1AM. What time zone do I set the D3 so that I shifts its time to the 1PM CDT upon import? I have tried many combinations, but none seem to provide the correct date and time.
    Thanks

Never mind, I figured it out.. pretty easy actually.. using the 'Metadata' menu item and 'Date & Time Stamp' Adjustment option.

  • MPB behaving strange after (automatic) winter time adjustment

Last night I left my MPB running when I went to sleep. I presume it eventually shut down to standby before it automatically changed the time in order to adjust to daylight saving time.
About 9:30 I was woken by the fans working at maximum speed. My MBP was not warm at all and I remembered shortly waking up earlier that night and already hearing the fan noise but since it did not cross my mind that the MPB could be the source I went back to sleep. So probably the fans were working all night.
The MPB battery was completely drained although the magsafe connector had been connected all night and was displaying the orange charge indicator.
The date and time was reset to 1am 01.01.2001 and the MBP neither started charging the battery nor would it let me connect to my wifi network until I corrected the date manually.
What happened here? Am I the only one who experienced this?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Not really sure what happened, but it sounds like your Mac may have lost all power at some point. The power adaptor, the battery, and the logic board battery all serve to keep the time and date correct. Generally if the power adaptor is not connected and the main battery becomes drained, then the logic board battery should be able to keep track of the date and time.
It sounds like possibly the power went off for a while, the battery drained, and the logic board battery was not able to retain the date and time. Don't know if this is what happened, but it's a possible scenario that would explain what happened with the date and time.
However, I have no idea why the fans should have been going at maximum speed. Does everything seem to be working OK now?

  • After effects video automatic time adjustment

With adobe after effects I am currently producing wedding picture videos. If I want to run 6 videos at 10 seconds a piece for the first hour, then on the second hour I want to run 5 videos for 12 seconds a piece. How do I program after effects to automatically adjust?
    Thanks

no that is not what i am trying to do.
if i take out a picute or take out a video  is there a way to make after effects fill or adjust the time of the missing picture or video without having to edit the entire Comp?
or is there another adobe program that can do an automatic fill and re calculate the time for missing footage?
    example see perivous post.
i guess a simple question > is there a way to auto recaluate time to fill the missing area?

  • Oracle time adjustment

Hi, can anyone tell me how to adjust oracle time to DST? I read articles in metalink, but I don't even have tz_ views in my 10g database. The system is windows 2003 32bit R2 and the database is 10.2.0.1. It's still the old time, frustrating......

    Hi,
I don't even have tz_ views in my 10g database.Yeah, but the data dictionary does have TIMEZONE types and all 10g database must do the patch!

  • Jpeg date/time adjust, does it recompress?

If I edit the date time taken will this recompress my file?
also is the rotation of a photo in meta data?

Changing the date, caption, notes, star rating, or map location won't recompress a JPEG.  These fields are stored in the file's metadata section, separate from the actual image.
If you rotate a JPEG in the Editor, it will recompress it.
If you rotate a JPEG in the Organizer, it won't recompress it, as long as its pixel height and width is divisible by 16.  If they aren't, PSE will warn you and will create a new version for the rotated image.
Also, if you have the option Edit > Preferences > Files > Rotate JPEGs Using Orientation Metadata set, then PSE rotates a photo by changing an industry-standard metadata field, not by rotating the actual image.  But I don't recommend using that, since many programs don't understand that field.
