Battery - 95% and still calculating
I have OS 10.9 on my 1.2 ghz iBook G4. The battery is one of those replacements Apple gave us for that whole potential-burning-battery thing.
I recently decided to switch the menubar battery indicator from percentage to time, and I've noticed something.
Lately, it seems to be forever "calculating..... until full."
Go back to percentage, and it says 95% although the adapter light is green.
Any way I can get it to just give me the right numbers?
I've run it down to zero, no change. iBatt2 (a very cool utility app) gave my battery an A-, ie., good health, minor signs of wear.
Not exactly a panic-mode problem, but any idea what causes this behavior? And more importantly, what might remedy it?
Thanks
iBook 1.2 GHz G4 Mac OS X (10.4.9)
You might try resetting the PMU - power management unit.

I have the Iphone 5, it is just over 12 months old, and it was low on charge, by the time I could get to a charger it had cut out. So i plugged it in the charger like no other time, went back after 10mins and noticed the screen was still black. So i tried to turn it on but nothing still black screen, i changed the charger for my other apple charger and the same thing happened. i decided to plug it in using the usb in the computer and still the same thing has happened. Took it to the apple genuis team to be told they can`t do anything, and now its out of its 12 months warranty makes it even more difficult. Has anyone else had this issue, this is my 4th iphone since they released them and am very dissappointed to say the least that the iphone 5 for me seems to have a life span on just over 12 months and no one is prepared to take any responsiblity as i have not damaged it. One extremely dissappointed Iphone user. Any ideas on how to get it working again?

My battery reads that it is 100% charged. However, as soon as I unplug it, it dies instantly. The battery lights are still functional, and everything else is working fine! What's wrong with my battery?
Sounds like it may need to be replaced. Contact Apple.

I am using iPhone 5 and tried to Erase All Contents and Settings but it is just showing an apple sign on the screen and nothing is happening now for about 3 days now. All it does is eat up my battery and still show apple sign after charging! Help!!!!
Hi DaVince Vince,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your iPhone. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear what issues you were having that led up to the attempted Erase All, and/or exactly what behavior you are seeing now (restarting, not responding at all, etc). If you are seeing an Apple Logo screen and your iPhone does not appear to be starting correctly, you may find the following articles helpful:
If your iOS device restarts, displays the Apple logo, or powers off while you're using it - Apple Support
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support

My macbook all of a sudden crashed. When I turned it back on, the fan was running, the battery icon had an "X" over it, and although the power cord is plugged in and the light on it is green, the battery life is still saying that it is 0%. What is wrong with my computer!?
Hi Jen.
It appears that the battery is perhaps faulty. If you go to -> About This Mac -> More Info -> Power, could you please tell us the Full Charge Capacity (FCC) in mAh, and the Cycle Count please.
Also, you could try resetting the SMC, to see if that makes a difference.
Good luck -
my iphone5 unexpectedly quit working, it had 84% battery so that wasn't the problem. I plugged it into the charger and still no response. help
Is the phone turned off = quit working?
try a reset, hold down the home/sleep button until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for your phone to boot back up. -
I do not know if this has anything to do with my problem or not. I just recalibrated my battery and now cannot remove anything from the dock. I have moved it half way up and held it and it just goes back to the dock. Will not let me even put it in the trash. I am new to the macbook so would you please help me?
There is NO calibration on a modern macbook
Battery calibration, battery memory, battery overcharging, battery training, …all these concepts are mostly holdovers from much older battery technology, and on older Apple portable Macbooks ranging from early nicads, NiMh and otherwise; and these practices do not apply to your lithium battery and its smart controllers.
Current Apple portable computer batteries are pre-calibrated and are not to be calibrated
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1490
There is no battery calibration with current Apple portable Macbooks with built-in batteries. Lithium batteries have essentially a 0-‘memory’, and all such calibration involve the estimations fed to the system controller on the SOC (state of charge) of the battery over long periods of time as the battery degrades. The software based battery controller knows the battery's characteristics, or SOC and adjusts itself. This is why there is both no need and purpose to periodically deeply drain your macbook battery, since it doesn’t affect the characteristics of the battery, and further still deep discharges are something you should not do on purpose to any lithium battery. -
Iphone 4s twice broken and still en guaranty. This time battery problem
I have a 4s iphone, that is still in guaraty, i don`t have guaranty in Argentina, but i boght it in EEUU. The guranty expires the 17 nov. and i have no way to send it to eeuu for repair. I don`t know what to do.
I`m so so so sorry to dump a phone that is still in guaranty
Hope someone can help me.That happened suddenly or after putting the new operating system (ios7). Because ios7 greatly increases the battery consumption and you need to adjust some settings to work properly. Anyway changing the battery is easy task, and there are some apple resellers in Argentina can do it for a price. The warranty is useless if you cant go in person to USA. Suerte.

dv 6809wm laptop. Computer still does not boot up when battery out and ac adapter plugged in?
It lights up initially for a split second when I push power button, but does not continue to boot up. When ac adaptor is put in it glows blue like it is supposed to. Any suggestions?i'm going to try to see if a different ac adaptor will work hopefully that solves the issue.

Can't get my remote to turn on my apple tv, I even put a new battery in and it still wont do anything
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen. -
My i phone 4s battery dies and now wont switch back on, when plugged into the charger it just vibrates and sometimes beeps, but the screen will not come on? i have tried rebooting it but it still wont work, i just need to be able to access the memory so i can save all my stuff to icloud as i stupidly havent done this yet, is there anyway this can be done?
Hey tessatony,
Thanks for the question. I understand that your iPhone 4s is not functioning properly, and that you wish to try to make a backup before troubleshooting. From the information you have provided, it sounds like the device is indeed turning on and responding when plugged in, however the display is not lighting up. Have you attempted to plug the iPhone into a computer with iTunes? If iTunes recognizes the phone, you can attempt to back it up:
iTunes: About iOS backups
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4946
Afterwards, attempt to restart and/or reset the phone:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If your issue persists, your iPhone may need to be serviced. The following link should help you get started with the process. Included, you will find information on topics such as warranty, service pricing, and express replacement service.

When you plug it in to iTunes does it show up under devices? Try restoring it. That's the best thing you can do if you're out of warrenty

my 4s always power off but it still has 60% battery, why and how can i do?
That means you really did not restore to factory settings/new iPod.
Go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and setting and try setting the iPod up again. -
