Battery did not switch off

Last night I tried to calibrate my battery since it has been two months. I used my computer for over two hours with adapter plugged in. I then proceeded to disconnect the adapter and let my Macbook Pro ( it was reading at 98%)run on battery only, overnight.I awoke six hours later to find the battery was down to
90% only. Can anyone suggest why it ran down to 90% and not to zero?

Since your MBP was running on battery and not actively being used, it went to sleep. You must use the MBP (keyboard / mouse input) until it goes to sleep because the battery is approaching empty. At that point you then let it sleep for 5 hours or until the white LED turns off.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Since I have installed win7 64bit, the pc does not switch off after Power down command. For switch off i must hold the power button >10sec.

You may also try the Windows registry setting. Kindly be careful while editing windows registry.
Have a look at the following registry location (note that you need to invoke regedit.exe with administrative privileges in order to make any changes in this location) and ensure that the value ClearPageFileAtShutdown is set to 0 (if it is set to 1, change the value to 0).

My Mac Pro does not switch off.

It worked before Lion. Installed 10.7 and also upgraded to 10.7.1 but, on both cases, it does not switch-off. To be precise it "sometimes" switch-off but many times it does not. Let's say once on 15 times... With Leopard I nevere had this problem. (it persists also after a PRAM reset). I also run a second problem but only once and only upgrading to 10.7.1 (not to 10.7). It says that my RAM was on wrong position.. I had to remove and install the RAM again and it worked.
Any other case like this? (This append only on my MacPro - early 2009. On my MacBook and my MacBook Pro OSX Lion works fine).

Is there a pattern to the chimes, or are they simply random, as if the Mac is repeatedly rebooting on its own?
Have you tried a "Safe Boot"? Press and hold a Shift key as you power up the Mac. Does it start then?
If it starts at all "Safe Boot" will take much longer than usual, that's normal. Shutting down will take longer also. Try it.

I recommend purchasing lion on a USB drive at Apple Store. This will avoid all of the downloading hassles.
Also, be sure you clone your hard drive first. A lot of people want to go back to Snow Leopard and if you choose to do this cloning will make the process very easy.

You don't need to get the same model. As long as you use the same Nokia Account as you used on the previous phone then your account should be there with no problem.
If you are in India and using the Unlimited service, then it is essential that you used the same Nokia Account otherwise your ophones inbuilt licence has linked to whatever account you did use and that cannot be changed.

What exactly are you trying to do?
Turn off Bluetooth?
Swipe up from the bottom of your screen and tap the bluetooth icon (White is on, Back is off)
or
Settings > Bluetooth > Bluetooth - Off

That is not good but lets see if we can get it back to life. If you can, see if you can put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you can get it to restore, it will erase everything off your iPhone. If you have a back up in iTunes or iCloud then you can put that on after the restore is complete. Hi all, I have a problem with HF ck-7w. This hf is not switch off. According to manual it must do after 2 minutes. I try to find active BT devices after 2 hours and I find the HF (the blue led is still light! Any idea? Thank for your help. Jan

Check the blue wire, it may be wired constant live and should be wired to ignition live. Also try and disconnect the main box, it may have had a software problem and needs resetting.

IMac fan not switching off

We have a 2007 Intel iMac and the internal fan is not switching off. Would be grateful for some assistance or advice?

I Updated My IPhone 4 on the 2nd of Jan 2013 and since then it will not switch off silent mode with the switch on the side of the phone , does any one know what i can do or if there is any other way to switch it off silent ?

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting, but it can clear some glitches.
