Battery does not last long

Hi
I have a new ipod- jan 2012 and recently after i charged it full, the battery drains very quickly. Like within 30 -45minutes. Also, when i plug it in to charge, it appears to chArge almost full in 10 min, but to only show " battery low" display within a few minutes.
What is up with that?

I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store because of the shock issue. I doubt it was caused by the update.

I think you're using a Lion developer version. Open  > About this Mac > More Info, and copy Software here. Did you purchase Lion in the App Store?

It's unclear what you are saying. Do you have a battery problem since you upgrade your iPhone 4S to iOS7.1?
Please look into this discussion and my post here and here maybe it is of any use for you.
I would look especially at the main battery using things (aside from Push notifications from apps):
# Settings > Refresh apps on background. I would suggest to completely turn that off

It could also be that there is still an app running in the background as i had. See also this post.
In that case you need to dive into the Settings > General > Info > Diagnostics and Use >
Diagnostics and Use >logs per app to determine which app isn't closed although you turned off your phone (or even in my case reset to factory settings without backup). It's unfortunately pretty hard to find the app that is causing this. Therefore i wish Apple would come up with a better solution for this to see which processes/app(s) should be killed (now the best solution is removing the app completely).

Same problem here. Updated iPhone and the battery doesn't last more than four hours before getting to 20% and needing a recharge. Apple needs to address this soon before customers start jumping ship.

Hello , I got a lenovo flex 14 last september so it's very new.
The battery lasts only 2 hours 45 when charged fully. I find it too short considering the computer is new and the battery is supposed to last between 5 to 8 hours on a lenovo flex 14.
I am very average user. i am listening to music, typing word document, searching on the internet..
I have already checked in task manager and no application seems to be running and "" eating" the battery.

Hello, i have a macbook pro 15 inches, for the past 1 year. But since then i have been experiencing weird problems. firstly my battery does not last very long, my laptop heats up a lot and very fast,the cursor behaves oddly and the screen changes onitsown

The screen changes on it's own, the cursor gets stuck on a word and gets me the meaning of it with a dictionary. if i am on google chrome, the screen would go back to the previous page i visited even without i do anything! it also goes on the launchpad and desktop without me touching it! with no hands on the board. i am a student and i cant figure out the problem. i would really appreciate if anyone could help me on this asap!

Easily damaged, battery does not last at all.

For the last two months the battery has been severely weak. The charge lasts MAYBE an hour. Sometimes I charge it all the way and it's dead in 5 minutes. This happened in less then 6 months from purchase. The battery starting easily losing power after 4 months. I did not overcharge it so I don't know why this is happening. Also, I have taken care of my iPod but still damage has occured to it and the hold button doesn't work all the time.
I tried restarting it after it died and sometimes it would work for another 10 minutes and other times it was completely dead.

I'm sure she wants to try everything she can at home to solve the problem before she sends it off and waits a couple of days before receiving a new one.

Greetings, I had a new iphone 4S - bought March 2013, died suddenly September 2013. Iphone replaced by a new one, which seemed to work fine. Suddenly, noticed three days ago that the battery does not hold, even for one day, even with very little use. Charged battery yesterday morning, as it was dead, used phone a few times during the day, still had half batery full at bed time; this morning there was no battery at all - had discharged completely overnight doing nothing. It means that I will have to travel a long way to the nearest store to have it looked at. Had already done this last September to replace a dead phone. One would have expected better quality and reliability from a Company like Apple.

Sounds like the battery needs replacing. Bring the phone to Apple for battery diagnostics.

Maybe the problem is not your MB Air......
Try these:
Make sure bluetooth is turned off if you're not using it.
Set your screen brightness to 4 bars.
See what's loading in your login items. Delete the ones you don't need.
Open Activity Monitor - under All Processes see what's using most of your CPU's resources.
Highlight the ones with the highest %CPU and hit quit process.
Remember that when Apple says that your battery should last 7 hours, they tested it just browsing the web and not have anything open in the background and screen is set at 50% brightness.

Sounds like your iPhone is locked to your home carrier.
See if they offer unlocking and if you qualify. Otherwise,
there is nothing you can do besides rent/but a cheap
phone for your month in Argentina.

Also, I just bought a new battery because the original that came with my computer was dying too fast.
Well, this new one lasts just a little longer. I believe that is something else that is eating up the battery.
