Battery Doesn't Hold Charge: Less than Three Months Old!!
I got an iPod touch on June 28. Everything was working fine up until yesterday.
I was transferring a bunch of new music onto it on Friday night, around 7–8 PM. By the end of it, around 8–9 PM the iPod was fully charged.
I unplugged it and went to sleep.
I spent all Saturday at work, and left my iPod at home. When I got back, around 10 PM, the iPod gave me the "20% Charge remaining" warning.
I made an appointment at the Genius Bar for Tuesday, but I'd like to find out what people's experience with this has been in the past.
Do they replace the battery or the iPod? From what I understand the battery can't be easily replaced — but the new iPod touches are a different model.
Will I end up having to pay some kind of upgrade tax for the new "features" (that should've been in the first one to begin with... but that's a different can of worms...)?
take it to your local apple store if it gets anything less than 2 hours charge they'll replace it with a refurb's model for you FREE.
For the record, the refurbs are new, they just don't come with retail packaging or accessories (headphones, usb etc).

My Apple iPad 3 is less than 6 months old - purchased in March of 2012. I believe it already needs a new battery. It will not hold a charge for very long andvs very slow in starting up a carge when I plug it in. Please advise - it is very annoying.
Take it to Apple Store. You are covered under your 1 year warranty.

Does anyone have any suggestions about this problem? I can't believe that my phone is less than 2 months old and it already quit working.... I do not have it on mute, I tried plugging the ear jacks in and out. I have not dropped it, no moisture, and etc
Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you've been through ALL of these steps and you still have problems, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation. -
my imac is less than 5 months. old tommorow it goes to murcia for ¿repair?.a 25.1 1mac desktop is a formidable piece of workmanship but thatdoes not stop anything going wrong,as ive found out.in the last month it has begun to heat rapidly thus i think causing a graying in the 4 corners of the screen, this is ugly.as i keep my mac in pertfect grace ie free of dust and prints, also it freezes frequently and downright frustrating.has anyone else had similar problems.on a footnote i beleive apple care will come thru shining, but an answer to my question, wich is why in only 5 months has my imac gone wrong.
Sorry to hear you're having issues with your Mac, but just like pretty much everything else, things can go wrong.
The key is what Apple will do about it now that it has gone wrong. Because you are under warranty, contact AppleCare and explain the issues you are experiencing. There is a chance that your iMac may have to be sent in for repair.
My iMac has had issues since first bought in late 2009, in one form or another and has been repaired three times. AppleCare are going to replace the item sometime in the future, I have no idea when, but I have been without a working Mac for over three weeks now, actually it might be over four weeks.
As you said, AppleCare will sort the problem out for you, let's hope it's not a lengthy repair and they get you up and running quickly. -

my ipod touch 2nd generation keeps taking screen shots by itself and turning off. This is a 'NEW' replacement and is less than 12 months old. Any ideas?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Seagate FreeAgent Go is making a clicking sound and the light is rapidly blinking. My Macbook is no longer recognizing it. Is there any way to pull all the songs I have saved on it? The SeaAgent is less than a month old!
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Or at least recover the lost data?
Thanks! How to fix: the drive is in warranty, so contact Seagate for a replacement.
How to recover your data: Do you have backups? (If not, you really, really, should.)
You can try downloading Data Rescue, which will run in trial mode and let you know if the data is recoverable. (You can then choose to purchase the full version if it works for you.) A clicking drive, though, is usually (though not always) a sign that the drive cannot be recovered.
Matt
Edit: fixed link. -
How do I get my Ipod to play music videos through my theatre system? I keep getting the message "This device not supported". My theatre system WILL recognise my Iphone however. The theatre system, Ipod, and Iphone are all less than 4 months old. Any suggestions welcome!
Check with the theater system vendor and see if their system is compatible with the Nano. The resolution on the Nano may be too low for the system.

On the Z key, the little scissor clip underneath on the right hand side has two little pointy bits which connect to the key, the top one of these has broken off and the key is barely hanging on, if pushed on the right side of the key, it pops up. I tried to push it back in but it keeps popping up.
My mac is less than 3 months old. The computer has been treated well and has not been used rough or treated badly, I imagine it's just an accident while typing or a weak clip.
Is this covered by Apple, if not where do I buy a new clip for under the key? -u can give try to using external enclosre and backup ur files. I hope u will get files back. or using external enclosre with ur hdd boot into Linux and try to mount ur harddisk.
there are multiple no of tutorial to mount apple partion in Linux. -
My 27" iMAC is less than 3 month old. Many times regardless of what application I am in the screen will start shifting back and forth left to right. Then I can't do anything until the screen stabilizes. This takes anywhere from 5 to 25 secs. Any ideas?
why don't you take advantage of the free 90 days of AppleCare and utilize the free, professional telephone support from Apple instead of asking in the forums?

My MacBookPro is less than 3 months old and, for the last few days, it has been loading so slowly, mainly with webpages. I have gotten the swirling rainbow "thinking" icon more in the last days than I have since I bought it. I know I'm spoiled and expect it to be faster than lightening (which it has been) but I am worried that I may have been compromised in some way, or, is there anything I can do as administrator to clear out some "junk"?
Back up your documents and everything else important to you, not that there is any reason to believe your hard disk may be failing, but the symptoms you describe may presage an impending disk failure, and you should have backups anyway.
Given that your MacBook Pro is so new, you should certainly contact AppleCare and take advantage of the free telephone support included in its purchase price.
Until then, if you are motivated to investigate this yourself consider the following:
Apple Support Communities contributor etresoft wrote a very useful app to quickly gather certain system information that may help point to a cause of this problem. Go to his website, download and run EtreCheck:
http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck
Etrecheck will be in your Downloads folder. Open it from there. You may see the following dialog box:
Click Open - etresoft contributes to this forum frequently and can be considered a trustworthy developer.
It will take a moment to run as it collects its data.
Copy and paste its output in a reply.
Do not be concerned about anything that says "Problem" or "failed".
EtreCheck was designed to remove any personal information (such as your computer's name and serial numbers) but if you see anything that looks like an email address or any other personal information that should not be divulged to others, please delete or obscure that information when you post the reply.
When you are finished with EtreCheck, quit the program. It occupies very little space, and you can keep it or drag it to the Trash as you wish. -

It sounds like it is broken. Contact HP about a replacement: www.hp.com/go/totalcare

This is the second iphonev4s I have had to just turn off and can't get it to cone back on. I charge them to make sure it's not battery but they still won't come on. The first one did it within 30 days so they replaced it. My current one I have had less than 4 months. Anyone else?
Unless you have another USB cable, and if that fails another computer to test the connection with, then I'd suggest you take the phone into an Apple store.

IPod Nano 7th Gen- battery problem- less than 2 years old
When you connect it to the computer's USB (or to a USB power adapter) so that it has power, does it still operate properly? If it does, you are saying that as soon as you disconnect it from power (even after it has been connected for a while), it immediately shuts off?
Or is the iPod "dead" when you connect it to power?
