Battery Drain is very quick

Hi,
I bought a Macbook just for its extraordinary battery backup. Snow Leapord gave me average 8 hours of worktime. Once I upgraded to Mountain Lion, it all drained in 2 hours, worse that my HP notebook that runs for 2:30.
Mountain Lion is very worst on the battery life. May be thats why the 'Remaining battery hours' has been removed from this version of Mac OS.

ok something like this happened to my iPod and I kinda know how to fix it: first let it go dead then charge it all the way 2 100% with out turning it on while charging and when it reaches 100% it should be fine [the green light on your mag safe charger should light up] and that should do the trick

Try killing the battery (Let it drain---turning on all the settings, playing a video, and having the brightness up kills it faster), then let it fully charge from there. Let me know if that works.

Poke around the settings. There's a lot of notifications turned on that you may not need. There's also the backgroun app refresh that will be using battery and the background updating of apps.
So turn stuff off, if it doesn't help another thing that you can try is to go into the settings and reset all settings. Which is a bit of a pain because you'll need to retweak everything, but sometimes starting fresh can clear glitches

Those are not normal unless you are using apps that use a lot of power (like games & GPS apps).
Take it to an Apple store for a free consultation or take it back to where you purchased it. Make a backup in iTunes or iCloud before you go incase it needs to be exchanged.
It should have warranty for a year or more depending on your country & if you purchased Applecare.
I would also suggest you leave it powered off if it always gets hot & store it somewhere away from flammable materials – damaged batteries can be a fire risk.

My iPhone 6 Plus's Battery runs out very quickly, how can i test it and know if there a problem in it or not?

My phone capacity is:11.8GB
Version numbers of iOS: 8.1.2
I recharged my phone daily and i find that battery runs out very quickly without no clear reason as i don't use 3G , IU've disabled all background App refresh and so on,but still my battery's performance is too poor.

First, please don't put any of your contacts on this thread.
If you want to reinstall iOS5 and start from Scratch then do this.
1. Open your itunes.
2. Connect your iphone to your computer
3. Once connected, click on your iphone (located on the left window).
4. Click Restore
5. It will Restore
6. Once complete, Set up as new phone.
*As for number 6, if you set up as new phone, everything in your phone is lost and is pretty much like the way you got it out of the box.

Location services is NOT running all the time, only when the arrow appears in the message bar. It is not a major consumer of power unless you are actively using it (such as using the Maps app), and even then it is a minor factor in battery life; loading maps is the big user of power in the Maps app. And turning off Location Services defeats Find my iPhone.
There are only 2 heavy battery consumers, cellular data and interactive games. Everything else (bluetooth, location services, WiFi, etc) are tiny in comparison to these and will not make a significant difference in battery life.

Why is my battery draining down so quickly, since the latest update?

Why has my battery life gone from a once a day charge to nearly needing to keep it plugged up all the time. Since I installed the latest update, my phone will go from 100% charge to 30-40% within 3-1/2 hours and that's just sitting in standby on my desk at work. I have made sure all my background stuff is turned off, including the background refresh thingy. It's a little aggregating and if someone has an answer me and my family would love to hear it. Well razmee209, I have done everything on the list that you sent me and turned off everything I could, that's working in the background, and still be able to function with my phone and the battery is still draining off dramatically. I even did the recalibration to no avail.
I honestly didn't have any battery issues until installed the latest update and ever since it has been bad. It would be different if it were just me but based on what I have read it's happening to everyone. It really ***** cause my battery was unplugged at 5:50am and at 10:40am it's at 40% life left. You all really have created a power but in the last update.

uploaded new OS software (5 level to 6 level) and since then battery dies really quickly. I turned backlight down to 10% and nothing appears to be running in the background or anything and the wireless and bluetooth are all off. What else can I do? The main thing I have liked about my Blackberry's (this is my fourth or so) is the long batter life.

4s battery going dead very quickly

My 4s battery has suddenly started going flat in about 3 hours without being used...

This may seem simple... but have you tried all of the techniques listed to reduce battery such as:
Reducing screen brightness
Turning off mobile data (in particular 3G) when not in usage
Turning off location services
Killing any apps which could be backgrounding such as Spotify

If none of them work, and if sepehrg's possible solution doesn't work, take it into an Apple retail store and they may exchange it if there is an evident hardware problem. If you choose to do that, remember to say that you've tried everything listed above and a solution may be much quicker.

Has anyone noticed thier phones overheating and battery direing since the new IOS7 update in Feb 2014?

There have been some reports of unusual battery use after the iOS 7.0.6 update. A report that I saw on my Xite newsreader indicates users have found that quitting all apps and then resetting the device will correct the problem.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Do this for all apps shown in the recently used apps area. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Is my battery draining a bit quicker?

Hey guys,I was recently talking to my friend on ''Viber'' for about 1 hour and 5 mins and I noticed that after the call ended the battery had dipped from 40% to 20%,is this normal under the circumstance?
I also have to mention that my iphone 5 lasts around 1 and a half day under normal or light usage but it lasts around a day or less under heavy usage(not necessarily gaming),this is fine too?
Obviously my iphone 5 is under warranty and if you guys respond,I would visit nearest Apple service center to replace the battery,kindly pour in your comments.
