Battery/Email not working

Hi, I bought a blackberry a few weeks ago and then this week my battery began dying within 20 minutes of it being charged so I took it back and got a new one but now it is doing the same thing after having it for 3 days. As well this time my alarm does not work, I am not receiving any of my emails and I only sometimes get text messages. If someone could help me or tell me where I could go to get some help that would be great. Thanks!

Are you charging the battery to 100%?
Look at Options > Status and see.

  • IPhone 6 Battery Usage setting not working.

When I go to my setting and check my Battery Usage setting it states: "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes". I've been using it for hours and I get the same response when I go to the setting. I've turned off my phone multiple times to see if that would resolve it, but it hasn't. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

    Hello.
I have the same problem. iPhone 5, iOS8.0.2, used for a few days - still no usage statistics, only "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes".
I tried restore iPhone (DFU) without restoring backup from iCloud/iTunes, resets, hard-resets, erase all settings, drain battery to 0% and charge to 100% overnight etc. - nothing helps.
I wrote to the Apple about this problem.
Here is the page that you can use to contact with Apple and report a bug - https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Please, give the title of "iOS8 battery usage statistics not working" (or something like that), choose the "Bug report" and describe the problem. Perhaps it will make that Apple will eliminate this problem in the next version of iOS. More report - greater chance.

  • IPhone 6 Battery Usage function not working

Battery Usage feature continues to read; "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes" even though I have now had the phone and used it for one week. Using iPhone 6, 64G, IOS 8.0.0.(no iOS updates have yet been applied)
A few days ago I attempted some suggestions posted by others. One of those was to let the battery drain to zero then fully charge. This had no affect on the Battery Usage feature. Another suggestion that i tried was to close all open apps on phone, then shut down phone and then turn back on. This did not resolve the Battery Usage issue either.
Is apple aware of this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

  • IPhone 4 battery draining + flash not working

I've had my phone since February 2011, and haven't had any problems up until today. The flash no longer works, I've attempted taking pictures and using flashlight apps, but it's not working whatsoever. And yesterday, the battery started draining like crazy out of nowhere. I fully charged it before unplugging for the night, and by the time I woke up it was completely dead. My phone is usually my alarm, so I was lucky to wake on time. I fully charged it tonight after it drained again, and it's already at 78% just a few hours later and no use. My phone has been opened before, but not fiddled around with at all. Any ideas of what could be causing this, I appreciate!

Just an update - this ended up not fixing my problem.   The battery is still draining.
On a side note - I actually left my phone charging overnight and the alarm did not go off this morning because the phone was mysteriously shut off during the night.   It hasn't done this in 3 years but did the night of the iOS upgrade yesterday.

  • Macbook pro is not getting turn on and further when i press power button the green orange light suddenly changes to green again, moreover battery meter is not working

    Hi
Last night my macbook pro gets off automatically when battery gets empty and in the morning it isn't turning on. When i connect the charger, the light on the charger turns green to orange (showing that it is charging) but when i press the power button it suddenly changes to green again. I thought there must not be any connection between the charger light and the power button. And battery meter was running fine.
When it tried this again and again the charger light disappear and battery meter also stops working, when i clearly observe it there is a very dim green light in the charger (not observable in the light) and the laptop is still not showing any change.
    please help!

My Iphone 4 is very good until last Thursday, I used it from sep 2011 without any problems, My problem is the battery is down without any warning and working after 100% then 82% then 50% then 30% and down these things throw less than two hours
what can I do with that??
    Also, I live in Cairo,Egypt
    waiting your recommendations

    Hi,
"But it didn't work it's just turning them to black gray scale colors not what i was thinking about."
If you want it to be colored, you'll need to create a color-palette for the 8bppIndexed bitmaps. The keyword for this process is "Color-Quantization".
The whole yellow-green pie you get is from the wrong format. If you convert the 32bpp bitmaps to 24 bpp bitmaps, you loose the alpha channel ("transparency"). You can manually set one color to "transparent" with the mMakeTransparent-method
of the Bitmap class, or simply use gif-images (they are 8bpp with a transparent "key"-color)

  • PB battery charged but not working

I have a third party battery in my 15" Aluminium PB. It charges but doesn't power the Mac at all... It just shuts down straight away and messes up the date and time settings on reboot (rebooted using AC power). Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Did the third-party battery ever work properly? If not, return it. If you post the brand or vendor of that battery, perhaps we can direct you to another model that may do better. If the battery came from an auction site, i would be very leery of it. Lots of reports of counterfeit batteries that simply don't work.
the date/time issues are due to a dead internal backup battery. Many Powerbooks ave the same issue but continue to work. New inernal batteries are nearly impossible to come by except for the latest PBs, and require a major teardown to replace.
If you get a new main battery that actually works then the dead internal won't be such an issue.

  • New Battery and PowerPack NOT WORKING!

Ok, so the other night my battery drained completely while I was working. I knew it was getting low but it never yelled at me so I kept working. Ever since then I can't get it to charge!!! I just bought a new battery and power pack this summer for this reason!!!! I spent well over a year with the X over the battery. I have the plug icon there now but it still reads 0% after being plugged in overnight.
Now, I have browsed the forums and support pages and have tried the reset, the callibration, cleaning the magsafe adapter, etc. My light isn't coming on the magsafe, although it had come on and was a dim green for a few hours. Now it's not even doing that! I read somewhere that this is a problem. I guess I will have to try to get ahold of an actual support person. **** I hate the power issues on my MacBook Pro. I love the machine...hate the power issues!!!

    and have tried the reset,
Which ones? There are 2 of them - pram & smu.
    MBP Battery Troubleshooting:
To check for a bad battery, go to Apple/About This Mac/More Info
In the System Profiler window, select the Power entry & look for Health Information.
If next to Condition it says "Check Battery" then your battery is probably on the fritz.
Take your computer to an Apple Store. The staff will be able to check to determine if your model MBP qualifies for a free battery. Otherwise, you will pay for it yourself if you do not have Apple Care.

  • 15" Battery Update is not working

Hello. I've got a problem with my Powerbook battery. I've got a 15" 1.67 high-res powerbook two months ago (oh, thanks apple for new MacBook!), and the battery seems to be completely drained.
    zloba-2:~ zloba$ ioreg -w0 -l | grep IOBattery
    | | | "IOBatteryInfo" = ({"Capacity"=947,"Amperage"=0,"Cycle Count"=76,"Current"=934,"Voltage"=12536,"Flags"=1090519045,"AbsoluteMaxCapacity "=4400})
This is what I see as the current battery status: capacity of 947 when the max capacity is 4400!!! And I got this message after 76 recharge cycles!!!
I thought that update would help me, but it shows the following message:
    Your battery was not updated.
Make sure you have a battery properly installed, and then try to update your battery again. Be sure to complete the update process for this battery before starting the update of another battery.
In the console I see the following:

If you enabled "root" user and set a password for it, you have to do the following:
press "apple" at the top-left of the screen, there select "Log Out" (bottom of the menu), all your open programs will be closed and you will see login window. There you must select "other", enter "root" as the user name and the password you've set before as the password. Run the update, it will work (probably), after this shut down your computer, remove the battery, insert the battery again and power your mac again. Login under your regular user name, go to netinfo and disable root user (it's unsafe to keep root user open).

  • BATTERY or charger not working!

    Hello Guys:
my apple insurance ended in July 2009. I am unable to buy a new charger and battery right now because money is tight. Anyhoo, the green light on my charger is not lit and the icon on my macbook is says "not charging." I am not sure if its the battery or the charger. Can someone help me figure this out.
    thanks

+Anyhoo, the green light on my charger is not lit and the icon on my macbook is says "not charging." I am not sure if its the battery or the charger.+
hmm... I remember seeing this at school... to other people...
    okay..
Situation 1:(the laptop does not die after a while with the charger plugged in)
Its not the charger's fault. if the laptop does not die its not the charger's fault. It means the charger still works but the light just does not turn on. this happens to me a lot since I have an old macbook and an old macbook charger 4 years old(still works spanking good!). sometimes you need to unplug and plug it back in to amke the light turn on. If it still does not turn on then the light is broken but the charger works since the laptop does not die after a while.
    its the batteries fault.
Situation 2:(the laptop dies after a while even with the charger plugged in)
its not the batteries fault. the charger is plugged in but could not charge the battery, so your laptop died.
Solution: If its Situation 1 get a new battery. If its Situation 2 get a new charger.
    p.s. Merry Christmas!!!

  • Battery or indicator not working?

    Hi all,
I have a previous gen (pre-unibody) 15" MacBook Pro that I bought last August (2008). I generally do not put it through extremely rigorous work, just the typical amount of work for a college student.
Since I bought it, my battery has lasted about 4 hours, give or take, and my indicator has reflected that. Very suddenly and for the last few days, however, my battery indicator says I have 10 hours remaining and it does not count down - it stays at 10 hours no matter how long I have my laptop on (in between classes, about two hours at a time), and when I go to charge the battery, the light on my charger is green (so obviously the battery is not charging).
What's going on? Do I need to be concerned?

I got the impression either method of SMC reset would work, so I want to know if one is better than the other in this situation.
Either method? There is only one method to reset the SMC for your computer:
*MacBook, MacBook Pro except MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2009)*
If the computer is on, turn it off.
Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the computer's battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds and then release the button.
Reconnect the battery and AC Adapter.
Press the power button to restart the computer
The other method applies to Mac portables with non-removable batteries.
Am I going to lose any files or settings if I do this?
    No.

  • Battery problems-new battery, but does not work

Help! I have purchased a battery a few months ago. It worked fine for a little while, and then one day, it would not power from the battery. Here is the strange thing-when I plug it in, it regesters the battery as fully charged. I even let my iBook sit for a few days without using it. I plugged it in and it registered my battery as about 95 percent charged, but stilll would not power up. I don't get it! The battery seems good, but it does not power from it. It obviously charges it, but does not power from it. Ahhh! Please help!

Will resetting the PMU erase my hard drive or cause damage to my RAM?
    No
What does it mean when it says Warning: Any RAM disk will be erased. ?
This is an outdated warning since OS X doesn't support RAM disk. A RAM disk is a technique of using some RAM as a pseudo-disk drive.

  • MacBook Pro completely flat. Won't charge. Battery indication lights not working

My MacBook Pro late 2011 went flat through out the day, I left it open while I went out so it was working this morning. I come home to find it flat and unable to charge. When I plug the charger cable into my computer it faintly flashes from green to amber. Plus when I go to click the battery indicator button to see if it flashes to tell me that it needs recharging and doesn't work nothing shows up. Is it just the power adapter or my battery?? Help!?

If you are still within your one year warranty, take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP.  Whichever is more convenient for you.
If you have Apple Care, give them a call and get a case number.

  • Kde 4.6 hibernation/suspend when battery critical level not working

    Hello everyone...
I'm using arch (wonderful, perfect, unique, blablabla) for a while now, on my two laptops: dell xps m1530, and asus 1001px.
No problem at all with both...exept for suspend and hibernation (WHICH WORK!!)...
yes suspend and hibernation work if I activate them manually, or after the defined waiting time..
    BUT...
if I wait for my computer battery to go below the critical level, and after kde notifies me that my computer is going in hibernation/suspend, it doesn't happen anything...
the screen just turns black and I think kde doesn't even call the pm-suspend/hibernate commands...I can still unlock the screen and continue to work but the battery goes down to 0 and the computers turn off(obviously if I don't hibernate or shut it down before)..ARGH!
    that is my problem...any thoughts?
    thanks in advance

    Hello, I have excellent solution:
In power management settings, change the action when battery level is critical to "do nothing"
Then, in global settings, click "configure notifications"
For "critical battery", check "run command", and enter:
    dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest="org.freedesktop.UPower" /org/freedesktop/UPower org.freedesktop.UPower.Hibernate
(I think that's the command, anyway!  Maybe check the wiki)

  • 2ND Battery is now NOT working(&)Can NOT restart(&) Going very slow!

I apologize if I am posting in the wrong place. I am new to this and I am wondering if anyone had any solutions or input to my post subject. I have just replaced the original MacBook battery and now the replacement will no longer charge much like the previous. Also, I am NOT able to restart the computer. I must shut down and start using the power button. Finally, the computer is very slow now and not able to properly stream most media online. If anyone has any idea what might be the problem I would appreciate any and all input. Thank you.

Was it an Apple-branded battery? Any chance the charger is bad?
Try booting from your OSX installation disk and use Disk Utility to repair permissions on your hard drive.
