  • Is there any alternative battery for Nokia X2-00?

Hi there, I was just wonderin'... is there any alternative battery for Nokia X2? coz BL-C4 battery is a li'l bit short for its lifespan. It could only take a few hours to play some music (through headset/loudspeaker)
    please help, thanks in advance...

    Hi Hanumantji,
Can you provide us your phone model? One possible reason why the phone hangs is that there is not enough memory available to carry out phone functions. You can move your data files from phone to memory card (provided that your phone supports Memory Card). If still the same, you can try to restore the phone to its factory settings as indicated on your manual.

  • Extended battery for Nokia Lumia 822

Hello everyone, I have a question concerning the extended battery for the NL 822.  Are there any other batteries besides the one sold by Mugen? (3800 mah).  This one seems too big.
    Thanks

Not sure what "This one" means, but I think you are talking about HLI-822XL.
You might want to consider getting a spare Nokia battery (BP-4W).
I think Mugen might humpback the battery door, so it doesn't matter how thick their battery is if they give you a new door that bows around it. However, if wireless (Qi) charging is important to you, you might want to investigate it their new battery door supports that.

  • Battery for Nokia 3315

Can anyone tell me if I can still buy a battery for my old phone, the Nokia 3315, whilst I am saving up to buy a new phone to replace the (new) one I lost?
    I am in Sydney Australia.
    Thanks , in advance.

I think is BLC-2 Battery that is certainly available online...(you may Google for it..), but first try at your local phone shop (preferably Nokia authorised..) to save on delivery charges..

  • New Battery for Nokia 6120 Classic

Hello! What do you know?! Is there other battery compatible with Nokia 6120 Classic??? This one(BL-5B) sucks. 2 days without taking pictures, playing games, listening music, etc, just normally speaking (not much at all). And I turn it off during the night! All my friends have the same problem so that means that my battery has no malfunction, this is how it is made! Please help me! Is there other battery compatible with Nokia 6120 Classic???

I don't know why they don't make a better alternative.
It's size, weight and price range that determine which battery they use.
The 6120c is quite small for a smartphone and it's also considered to be a low-end model with a fairly low price tag.
Sometimes these compromises are made to release a device into a certain price range to be competitive.
You are better off searching google or unofficial forums to see if anyone has got a different battery to work as it's never been mentioned here.

    tips for extended battery life
    >>
    > Menu - Settings - Phone - Operator Selection -Set to 'Manual' using your
    > provider, this stops the phone continuously searching for a better signal
    > from another operator when it can't use the other operator anyway, and
    > more than doubles your battery life in poor signal areas.
    leave bluetooth and gprs off
Allow the phone to completely discharge before recharging.
When it reaches full, take it off the power. Complete this cycle a few times and you may find that the battery life does increase somewhat. Some people have reported being  able to get an extra day or so out of the battery following this procedure.
    Turn off the screen saver.
When the screen saver is enabled, the screen stays lit up for quite a while after you have locked the keypad. This drains power needlessly so I recommend you turn this off.
    Turn sleep mode off.
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Spare battery for nokia 6300

i have just bought myself a nokia 6300 knowing the power durability issue (3-4 days vs. 14 days specified by the manufacturer)and i'm wondering if anyone knows if a compatible lihium-polymer battery is available or at least a li-ion battery with more than
    820mAh.

Definitely, even using a non Nokia brand compatible battery or copy/clone battery technically voids the warranty. But how are the people at the repair center they going to know unless you walk into the Nokia Care Center with the wrong battery installed in the phone. Also, I have yet to see a phone damaged by using a non-Nokia copy or clone battery. So I wouldn't worry about voiding the warranty. The only thing to worry about is whether it will damage your phone or provide substandard performance.
Although I'm definitely not recommending using non-Nokia batteries in your phone, I would note that I have actually used some pretty good non-original Nokia batteries, that especially I like to use when tethering my phone to a laptop which puts a lot of stress on the battery. I would rather put that kind of stress on a cheap US$11 clone battery than the expensive original Nokia battery. I don't feel bad about wearing out a cheap clone battery quickly. Generally, the original batteries provide a bit longer talk and standby time but they are expensive compared to the copy batteries.
    Currently using 6300 & 6233 (backup)

  • No batteries for Nokia Lumia 710?

I am in Perth, Western Australia and I am one unhappy customer
Last Friday I went to Battery World to get a spare battery for my new Nokia Lumia 710 as I'm travelling overseas.
They don't have them. I phoned JB HIFI as I bought the phone from them. They don't have them. On Saturday I phoned Nokia Care. They said they had a shop at Morley (quite a distance from me). They also said go to JB HIFI (I told them they don’t have batteries), **bleep** Smith, Harvey Norman or Telechoice. I went to each of these, they don’t have them and never have, nor did they give any indication that they ever would have them.
I went to the Telstra Shop. The chap kindly looked up the address for Nokia Customer Care here in Morley, Perth, Australia – he commented that I could not phone them because their phone number was no longer on the website. Therefore there was no way of my checking that they had a battery before I went there. I drove quite a distance to Morley. When I eventually found the business I was greeted with Business Hours 09:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday.
When I returned home I phoned Nokia Customer Care. I told them I had driven to the business and it was shut and it would have been nice to have been told that before I drove there. They told me that’s quite right they are not open on Saturdays. I was once again told to go to JB HIFI, **bleep** Smith, Harvey Norman, Telechoice. I told them they had already told me that and I had already established and told Nokia Customer Care that they did not have batteries and never had them.
I was told they would send through a query (?to God) and I would receive an SMS in 24-48 business hours as to whether there was a battery available at Nokia Customer Care. Today I received a voice mail telling me that there are no batteries available at Nokia Customer Care at Morley. Once again I am told to go to JB HIFI, **bleep**  Smith, Harvey Norman, Telechoice.
I feel like I have been sold a phone for which there are no batteries. With every other mobile phone I have owned I have always had a spare battery, especially when travelling overseas. No wonder it was “cheap”.
I am now faced with travelling overseas with a phone for which there is no possibility of purchasing a spare battery.
I sincerely hope that no-one is buying these phones to run their business with.
I am extremely disappointed and I would advise that nobody purchases this product. Which is a shame since I was happy with the product. It simply never occurred to me that there were no replacement batteries for this product. If I had known that I would not have purchased it.

    Hi rednomad,
Thanks for your contribution and thanks for posting.
Sorry to hear you are having a hard time finding an additional battery for your Lumia 710. The Lumia 710 uses the BP-3L battery which should be available through any Nokia Care Point. A list of Nokia Care Points in Perth can be found here. If the battery is not available they should be able to order one for you.
Also if you search for 'Nokia Lumia 710 Battery BP-3L' on the web you will find a number of sources within Australia which will be able to provide you with this battery model. Make sure though you buy an original Nokia battery.
    Hope this helps,
    Kosh

  • Firmware upgrade for Nokia 6280

I would like to know do we have firmware upgrade for Nokia 6280 as my present one is 3.65 and would like to upgrade it to 5.92 and I am in India
Could you please help me out.

updating to new firmware depends on product code which represents your region of purchasing, language pack and if it's branded or not .... so NOKIA releases firmwares and release it for every product code depending on mentioned points
you can check for updates @ :
    http://mea.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update/can-i-update
To find what the latest available device software is, you’ll need your device’s product code. The code is printed on the white label beneath the battery (e.g. CODE: 0520001).
if your phone is branded with an operator, that means that you should go to the operator care center and ask them, not NOKIA
some updates delay in some countries variant product code, as it requires more effort to add language pack to it like "example. China Japan Korea" or it needs the country to approve it due to its policy
-you can show appreciation to my posts if it helped or useful by pressing the green Kudo star beside my post that hepled
-if my answer was the solution , so click accept as solution button
    Started From Nokia 3310 , Now with Nokia N97 v.22.0.110 + N900 PR1.2

  • Will appear a new firmware for nokia 5800?

one question ... will appear a new firmware for nokia 5800 will soon ? Thnx !

It's not about old or not, it's about that productcode which is under your battery. Take a look here, and follow the instructions. If there is not an update available, you just have to wait.

  • No A2DP support for Nokia N80!

I just wonder why Nokia can't add support for A2DP in the new firmware for Nokia N80ie cellphone. =(
I just uppdatet my phone in hope of getting somewhere, but it was pointless.
It would be pretty nice if i could use my N80 as a real media centre with my Jabra BT 620s bluetooth headset but no way.
I am just intrested why not, i have read som discussions in this forum and other N phones did get their uppdates with A2DP support . Or am i wrong. Am i doing somethig wrong and cant get this to work?

A2DP and AVRCP does not require additional hardware for bluetooth 1.2 and above. It is based purely on software simulation.
Nokia can support A2DP in nokia n80. but battery could be an issue. Initial prototype of N80 had bluetooth 2 but then it was downgraded to 1.2 !!!

  • A wish list for Nokia's next flagship Windows Phon...

Two months left for Nokia World in september. I think everyone is excited for it. Nokia will introduce its newest flagship Windows Phone 8 "Lumia". If Nokia wanted to succed, here's a list of "to-dos" Nokia engineers should care about.
    - A thin, solid design: I don't really care about how thin the phone is... But there are many people that were dissapointed with how thick and heavy the Nokia Lumia 920 was.
    - A "Real" PureView camera with Zenon flash: The Lumia 920's camera is already perfect, but is it actually PureView...? you can't compare it to the 1020 or the 808... Can you?
    - Snapdragon 600 processor: Windows Phone 8 doesn't really require latest - high end - processors... It just runs smoothly on every single Lumia, no matter how much it is or how low end its specs are. But the Lumia 1020 really dissapointed me. There are many 3D games coming to the store eventually.
    - SD Card slot: Yes. Yes. Yes. Please.
    - NO MORE CARRIER EXCLUSIVITY: Seriously Nokia? No body wants to wait for the Lumia 1028 to get it on Verizon Wireless... or the 1025 to get it on T-Mobile. And NOBODY is going to switch to At&t. Nobody. Let's have a look at the Samsung Galaxy S4. It launched on FIVE carriers. The result? More sales. Simply more sales.
    - A killer battery: It's Nokia! It's well known for its amazing battery life (in the past)... Only Motorola delievers a great battery life these days. I want Nokia to get back to its roots and start as the Indestructable with the endless battery life again.
