Battery for Pavilion Touchsmart 10e-010nr

Can anyone tell me where to buy a battery for a Pavilion Touchsmart 10e-010nr? HP does not seem to have it and I cannot find it anywhere else, other than sites in Australia and New Zealand. I thought I had found it on HP's ridiculous website, waited 3 weeks and it arrived today - a button-cell battery, NOT the power battery I thought I was buying. $40 and 3 weeks down the drain - fuming mad here...

Go through page 10, 30-31 for the battery specifications and exact part number you've to buy. There are 3 battery capacities listed in the manual tested. You could go with any of them.
If you're under warranty and you suspect failed battery , you can contact HP directly with the error you've received, they'll probably replace it with no cost.
If you're not under warranty, you could also try searching for the battery in online stores like eBay, amazon, flipkart with the part number mentioned in manual, and get it online, which ever is cheap.

The original battery for the unit is an 8-cell Li-Ion. Do you know if replacement battery may be a 12-cell Li-Ion, which I'd assume would yield longer battery life, or must I stay with 8-cell? Thanks.

I have checked the manual for this series laptops and the 8-cell is the top. There are two compatible batteries, 6-cell and 8-cell. However, this says something about a compatible 12-cell battery:

I have purchased a DV4 1412tu series laptop almost a 3 year back in india. Now i wants to replace my battery but dont know why i am not getting any battery woth the same ratting. Please advice me with which HP genuine battery should i replace my current battery?
My current battery rattings are as follows:

Will it affect my hardware if i goes with some other rattings? i mean i am getting batteries for DV4 from HP with 44oomAh. Is it so that rattings country based?

I'm trying to find a desk mount arm for my friends TouchSmart 23". For the life of me, I cannot find the exact specifications.
This is the closest I have come to finding that information. I'm trying to avoid having him take apart his computer and physically measure the holes. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Power jack damaged, drained battery for PAVILION DV7-1135NR

I've had countless problems with my HP PAVILION DV7 1135NR, but I've managed to fix most problems, but of course another one appeared.
I usually have to "jimmy" my power adapter around to get a charge, but in this case, I was too rough and completely ruined the power jack (where you plug power adapter into) , my battery never charges and stays at 0% therefore there's no way to power on the laptop without a power source. Will this be an easy fix that a "girl" can do by herself? What parts do I need to get my laptop powered on?

You need the power connector cable which is part of the "cable kit":

Page 34 has a picture of it. Page 85 shows how to get the top cover off. The power connector cable can then be removed and replaced. It plugs into the motherboard. It is not a real easy fix but not as hard as a motherboard replacement. The part is dirt cheap.

HP Pavilion TouchSmart 14-b109wm Sleekbook will not boot up

My HP Pavilion TouchSmart 14-b109wm Sleekbook will not boot up windows.
upon power it goes to a blue screen that reads "Recovery" your pc couldnt start properly.
Error code 0xc0000185. Youll need to use the recpvery tools on yout installation media
Ive read several forms on performing the recovery and tried but im getting nothing.
Any ideas on how to proceed from here.
It doesnt have a cddrive so we have no backup disks.
the warranty was up sept 2014 and it went dead december

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read that you are interested in re-install the operating system back on your HP Pavilion TouchSmart 14-b109wm Sleekbook. Try performing a hard reset.
When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.
Here is a link to computer won't start for Windows 8.
You might benefit from a Windows 8 refresh.
It load defaults on the Notebook without disks. Here is a link to your drivers and software page.

Hp pavilion touchsmart will not turn on

Hi, I have a hp pavilion touchsmart laptop. I used my computer the other day to save a file onto a flash drive and It was working fine. I haven't touched it since then yesterday morning I noticed it was off and wouldn't cut on so I figured it died and I plugged it up and let it sit on the couch to charger. When I went to pick it up and turn it on about an hour later it was very hot and wouldn't cut on. The light next to the charger port is orange when you first plug it in then turns white after a few mins. No other lights are on and nothing happens when I press the power button. I'm still under warranty but I would like to try and fix myself before I go through that long process. Please help thanks in advance.

I understand that your notebook is stuck in a type of error loop, asking for a startup repair. I am happy to assist.
Have you ever backed up whatever data there is on this notebook, or is there anything of value on it? If there is nothing of value, you can try restoring the factory image, assuming it will function.

If on the other hand there is some data on there that you want to back up, then I would do that first. To assist with that you can use the service manual to help with removing the hard drive, and then you can use a compatible external drive bay, and connect that to another device to make a copy of the things you do not want to lose.

How to replace Battery Cover Pavilion ZX5000?

I bought a new battery for an old Pavilion ZX5000. It came in and fit in the slot, but the shallow plastic cover with the rubber foot was missing. I'm too stupid to figure out how to get the old plastic cover off the original battery and install it no the new battery. Can anyone help?

It is a thin plastic plate that clips on the battery. Here is the only thing like written instructions I could find for removing it from the old battery:

It is likely going to take a bit of force. You may want to use a wide flat blade like a putty knife to pry it off.
