Battery Guage stuck  On 95%

Any body Have any Ideas why my battery would register 95 % and never higher. next to the battery icon it continously says calculating.

Battery only charges to 100% once the power reserve falls below 94% or thereabouts. If it is any higher than that, it stays where it is even if the power cord is attached. So you don't have to worry.

I would suggest a Battery gauge reset, but im not 100% sure if it will work out, though you can try a gauge reset, considering the age of the machine I would also suggest a battery replacement

  • My z10 battery still stucked at 95% . Need help ASAP .

Hi everyone, I'm facing a very frustrated moment in my Z10, my battery do stucked at 95% when ever it's charging. I've did the method by Jsanders ( remove battery while charging ) I've did that method roundly 2hours since yesterday, only sometimes it can be charged till 100% , but when I check About> hardware .. It's showing 98% and its not same, hmmm please please please help me out feeling so sad do I need to downgrade my OS maybe? Pleas please help me. Your time is much appreciated

Vincci, there is no need to start an entire new thread on the very same issue.
    Your other thread:  http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Z10/MY-Z10-BATTERY-WONT-FULLY-CHARGED-STOPPED-AT-8...
Remember what I posted in the other thread:
"Remember, those charge percentages are basically on an estimation of the software's interpretation of the charge level in the battery. That percentage is calculated from a number of items such as charge history, current power level of the battery and other things beyond me. What shows as a 90% charge could actually be 95%, or thereabouts."
The device OS will rememeber the battery ID of the battery and doing the process I outlined can and will reset the on-device battery meter. Just try it again in a day or so, and then again later.
But, the bottom line is that 95-98% is basically 100%. You're talking about battery charge estimations, not concrete amounts. This is not like filling a five gallon water bucket and only getting 4.5 gallons in.

  • I have the "battery guage jumps all over the place" issue, is it 3.0.1?

I have the issue with the battery guage jumping all over (I have been as high as 77% and as low as 42% in the last 15 minutes)
is there a consensus as to if his is a 3.0.1 issue or a hardware issue? The run time still seems ok, but it can be stressfull not knowing if you have 30 minutes of battery or 3 hours, when you are away from a power source. The issue has kept me from using my phone too much lately which certainly limits the usefullness of the phone.
I did not have the issue with 3.0 but also didn't have the issue with 3.0.1 for the firt 3 weeks I had it.
I have fully drained an charged the battery twice in an attempt to recalibrate it, not in anyway effective.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Kalel, I had the same problem with my black 3 GS.
I got it on the day it was launched here in germany. All the time no problems. Updated to 3.0.1 as soon as it was released. No problems for a bunch of weeks.
Then, one day the battery was completely run down over night from 56%.
After a 100% charge I had jumps in the battery status as you reported about it.
I went to a T-Mobile-Store and got a new SIM-Card. Didn´t help. Then I made a restore to new phone. And I didn´t installed the Facebook App again. As this was the only thing I changed before the problem occured; an update of the facebook-App.
Since then I didn´t had the problem. Sometimes the battery goes up for 2-3%. For example I look for new SMS, and it´s 80%. I check again ten minutes later and it´s down to 78%. Then it might be 5 minutes later back to 80%. But that happens only sometimes. Let´s say one or two times a day.
So far the battery-jump-problem seems to be solved in my case. I don´t reach the 300 hours standby as by Apple mentioned. I would be VERY glad to reach 150 hours. But I never reached this times. I don´t know. Perhaps I call the Apple Service and talk to them.

  • HT201401 Battery icon stuck

Battery icon stuck and showing plug and not lightning bolt when charging. I have to switch off and back on again to get percentage to change. I have reset and restored. Any help appriciated

My battery indicator is stuck at 100%. It will stay there until it dies.
If restoring as a new iPhone (not from a backup) doesn't fix it, there may be a hardware problem. In that case, make an appointment with an Apple Store Genius Bar for warranty service.

I have a problem with my Lenovo ThinkPad X300 computer. The battery charging stuck at 99% (remaining capacity about 69% and 300 cycles). Every time stuck at the same "Remaining capacity". As i noticed durin battery user windows and the Power Manager displays differet informatioun about the remaining battery level and time.
I wish you can help me.
(Fresh installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit)

    Hi Mobal,
When you say "always on", is it green and flashing or green and always on? Solid green (not blinking) means fully charged and not charging. And I think the Windows Power indicator would be the more accurate of the two.
Refer the article and see if it helps!
    Best regards,

  • Battery % is stuck, No permanent icons on bottom of screen

Hi. My iphone 4 is 5 months old. I plugged it into my laptop to charge up and since then my battery percentage on the phone is stuck on 4% but the phone is charged. Also when the phone is charging the big battery icon in the middle of the screen stays in the red and doesnt move to green at all. And at the same time the 4 permenent icons that stay down the bottom when you swipe from one screen to the next have disappeared. There is no permanent icons anymore. To access these, especially the phone, i had to push the home button twice and then swipe to find the phone which is a pain. Thanks for any help. And this all happened when i charged the phone from my laptop, which was plugged into power at the same time

thanks both i've managed to do it now. although the icon looks different now. before it was an actual folder with applications written on it. now it's an icon the same as the address book icon. it does the trick though which is the main thing.

From yesterday night my battery saver has stuck... Look at the photo at the bottom of this post, to understand...
All those bars are from the background... I am 99% sure that the apps are not running in the background because I dont have any battery drain... So, I suppose "Battery Saver" has the problem...
I tried 4 or 5 soft resets but nothing... I also charge it full...
Have you any other possible solutions???
    Thank you...

  • Battery Gauge Stuck

Noticed that my battery strength indicator was showing "full" much longer than what I am accustomed to after a period of use.
    So I:
    - Plugged in the sync cable thinking that might "wake it up". Nope, still showing full with the little "plug" on the battery gauge in iTunes.
    - Rebooted the iPhone. Bam! Battery gauge now showing about 30%. That's more like what I was expecting based on usage since last charge.
Moral of the story: Reboot at least once per day. I say a reboot while your morning coffee is brewing should be considered SOP. Take that Windows Mobile.

Mine doesn't have any problems with the battery gauge being stuck, so no need for me to reboot. But yea people who do have this issue, should try a reboot.

  • Wireless Apple Keyboard Battery Cap Stuck

I have one of those bluetooth unibody keyboards and the battery screw-in end piece is stuck. I am almost certain I did not over torque it when I installed the batteries and Ive been putting in a lot of effort to get it off but it just wont budge. Anybody have this happen to them and find a solution? Thanks in advance.

Solved. After using some vice grips and a nickel I finally got it open. It had unfortunately corroded and formed a tight bond as a result.

  • X40 battery meter stuck

    My battery meter has stuck.
It is displayed in the toolbar, but it stays showing the same % remaining battery all the time.
When I switch off, or put it to sleep, and power back on again, it displays the correct battery level - but then sticks at that level.
It used to work perfectly well.  Does anyone have any hints about how to start it again?  I've tried rebooting, and I've tried reinstalling the power manager.

Hi rteather and welcome to the community,
What version are you running?  Your driver page shows version 5.05 but the ThinkVantage programs updates shows version 5.12.
Maybe you need a different version for it to work.  Your driver page also shows Battery Maximiser and and Power Manager features available for download.

  • Battery reading stuck at 100% (iPad3)

My battery display on my new iPad (3rd gen.) is stuck at 100% even after using it for a couple of hours.  It happened last week and I was able to fix it by turning off the percentage display under settings and turining it back on.  Now that I've recharged, the problem has come back.  I've also tried to reboot by holding down sleep and home but that doesn't work.  I've read that other people have had this problem with the iPad2, but most of them blamed it on an iOS update.  Just wondered if anybody has experienced this with the iPad3, and if so, can you offer a solution?
    Thanks

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

  • Battery icon stuck at 100%

My battery indicator is stuck at 100%. It will stay there until it dies. I have tried resetting by holding home and power keys. I have also tried connecting to iTunes and doing a restore. It is still stuck at 100%. Any ideas on how to fix it? It is pretty annoying not knowing how much battery life is left.
