Battery icon never full when charging iPhone with iTunes 8.2
I'm 99% sure this just started happening with iTunes 8.2
It's pretty minor as things go, but still annoying. After charging, my iPhone shows fully charged both with the large Battery while docked and on the little icon in the upper right corner of the iPhone.
However, the iTunes icon still shows the lightning bolt.
The iTunes icon does progress from being empty to full during the charging process, but never gets to the point where the full "plug" replaces the charging "lightning bolt"
Is anyone else experiencing this with an original iPhone?
One thing I did consider is that if iTunes 8.2 is being released in advance of the next gen iPhone and that device has a larger capacity battery, the iTunes might not think an older iPhone is completely charged when, in fact, it is. This seems a bit far fetched to me, but would be a bug nonetheless.

I left my iPhone docked after the iPhone itself indicated that it was fully charged.
About three hours after the iPhone displayed the completed charge plug, the iTunes charging icon finally changed from lightning bolt to plug.
Bottom line, either the iPhone displays a charge complete icon too early, or iTunes does too late.
Now, I'm starting to wonder if my formerly far fetched idea about iTunes being, umm, tuned more towards the next gen iPhone's batter may not have been that far fetched.
Anyone else?

After a little further research, it appears that you would need to create separate iTunes libraries in order to be able to continue to purchase and download previously purchased items on the same computer, for two different Apple IDs. Sorry - but my husband and I have had the library we sync with authorized for so long, that we have not run into this issue, but it appears that you will get an warning when you try to authorize the second ID on the same computer, indicating that another ID is already associated with it.
So, you will probably have to set up separate iTunes libraries for each ID:

When syncing iPhone with iTunes I get an iTunes stopped working and the network connection timed out message. I reinstalled iTunes and checked settings still no go.
Disable or turn off your firewall, anti-virus, and all security software and try the download again.

Battery icon not moving when charging
basicly like it says has been pluged into a wall and my computer both for a day. the battery chargeicon is stuck maybe battery is dead. When i plug it into my computer my computer does not recognize it
Suggest you try these, but it may be time for a replacement battery.

When syncing iPhone with iTunes, my external hdd disconnects
Hi! After I updated iTunes to the last version (9.1.1) appears one problem — when i connect my iPhone 3G 16Gb and iTunes is launched, it starts to sync as it is intended — and my external usb hdd disconnects. And it is required to restart the whole system with disconnected iphone to connect hdd as usual.
The itunes music library is on this hdd. I have mac-mini 1.83 core 2 duo with 4Gb ram and latest update of 10.5 Leopard.
I also recently installed fruux for syncing this mac-mini with my macbook, and may be it is the reason, but I uninstalled it fully (as writen on fruux website), but the problem is still as is.
Please, help — this problem makes my iphone fully isolated from my iTunes library :(((Make sure the following setting is unchecked:
Lightroom / Preferences / Import:
[ ] Show import dialog when a memory card is detected
Report back if it is already unchecked and LR still starts up. -
Battery icon just says "not charging" full charge takes 9 hours :(
Regardless if I select time or %, next to the battery icon just says "not charging". It does not read out how much time or % of battery life I have left. Also the battery went to zero and when I plugged it in, it says a full charge would be almost 9 hours....is this normal. The cyce count is 125 and condition is normal......thoughts? thanks
I had a similar problem with my black macbook... I took it to the Genius bar and they determined that it was a faulty charger. The light on my charger would flicker orange/green/orange/green. sometimes no light at all. They replaced it. But since my battery had been recharged over 300 times, they replaced the battery as well. Since then---no problems with charging.

My iPad won't charge, battery icon comes on when i plug it in but it won't charge any further
I have been trying everything to get my iPad to charge. Its an ipad2 wifi. its been off for probably two weeks if not more, just haven't had the desire to use it as i have an iPhone a macbook air and a new iPad mini so it kinda just sat there....now I'm wondering if its just gone kaput! Ive tried various cords and outlets. switched the cord... and still nothing. I grid doing a hard reset (home button and power button at the same time) and that didn't work either it just flawed the battery icon at me. when i unplug the iPad it says i need to charge it.... and well I have been trying.... what should i do!!??

I have changed my apple id, and its ok when i sync my Iphone with Itunes, but ON my Iphone still my old apple-ID is there. I can NOT buy things from Itunes or Upgrade anything now, how to fix this?

I have imported a new CD into my iTunes library on my PC. When I sync my iPhone with iTunes (on my pc), I don't get the new songs (or new CD). I have them on my PC but not on my iPhone. This just started to act this way. It was working in January 2013.

I have just purchased a new macbook and need to sync my iphone with itunes, i understand that you can only sync your phone with one itunes account. I do not want to wipe my iphone when syncing with this new itunes account. Any advice welcome
1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it. -
I can't synch my iPhone with iTunes because the device does not show up in a device window when I plug it in...it's missing in action and thus I'm not able to add any content from the iTunes to my iPhone, e.g. podcasts. All the instructions on synching start with "find your device in the device window". But what if you have no device window?
Missing "message" from above: The iPad "DGMTR" is synced with another iTunes library on DGMTR's MacBook Pro. Do you want to erase this iPad and sync with this iTunes library? An iPad can be synched with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iTunes library.
I thought the libraries were the same. -
When I sync my iPhone with iTunes I get an error message that says "iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone" How do I fix this?

What does it mean that "my iphone will no longer back up to my computer automatically when I sync with itunes", if I turn my icloud backup to "on"? This doesnt sound like something that will make things smoother? I just recently lost all my calendar events and I am hoping to recover them.
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can either back up to iTunes or to iCloud, you you choose to back up to iCloud, back up to iTunes will be turned off. Personally, I'd always back up to iTunes unless there is a good reason not to you.
