Battery indicator stuck at 96% after first load
Hey,
I just bought MBP 13" mid 2012 (MD101D/A). I unboxed it, started it without pluggin in and used it for a while. Then, at some point, I plugged it in and let it just load throughout the night. When I started to actually set it up today, I noticed that the battery indicator shows 96% BUT when you click on it, it says that it's fully loaded. Now I checked coconutbattery and this is what I get:
It lost already 3% after the first loadcycle? I'm afraid the battery may be damaged....
Would love any kind of suggesten what to do with this.
Cheers
Your battery is fine.......You probably didn't notice it when it reached 100% - charger will automatically stop charging when you reach 100% to avoid overcharging your battery.
Once your battery goes down to 95% - charging resumes.

IPad 1 battery indicator stuck at 100%
Since yesterday my iPad's battery indicator has been stuck at 100%. I've used it for a few hours since charging it, so I know the indicator is incorrect. Has anyone else encountered this?
I've tried powering it off and on again, but it still reads 100%.Hi there,
I would recommend that you take a look at the troubleshooting steps listed in the article below.

HT4993 Battery indicator stuck at 100% since update to iOS 6
Since I have update my IPhone 4S to the iOS 6 operating system my battery indicator is stuck at 100%. I know that I should have used battery life since it has been over 24 hours since it has been plugged in. Has this happened to anyone else and how can I fix it? I have trued resetting the phone and also tried resetting it when plugged in.
It HAS to be hardware..
I made the appointment, thank you.
I consistently close all apps, keep my brightness down, keep wifi off when not in use, and location services. Reset my phone and still the battery drains so fast!
It appears to be messaging, and Facebook apps, and safari that are the leading cause..
If I send maybe 10 texts, I'll easily lose 4-8 % battery. I literally watch it drain in front of my eyes.
Roughly a minute of Facebook, safari, or mail consumes 1-2%.
That is faulty hardware, or software..
Either way it's apples fault. My phone is mint! Never been out of this otter box except to wipe dust off and when I charge it..
I charge regularly. Let it die down before charging, and let it almost completely die then fully charge it once a month too.
I hope apple repairs my battery, or software -
Printer stuck in spooling after first print
Hello,
I have a new laptop in the office with an HP ColorLaserJet CM2320nf MFP printer connected to our network.
The drivers installed without issue. After every reboot, the first document I choose to print will print fine from any program.
Then any subsequent print from *any* program I try to make will get stuck in 'spooling', and even crash the program I'm in.
I've tried a completely clean install of the drivers and the reinstall produced the exact same results.
Is this a known issue and what are some suggestions to fix?
Running Windows 7 Professional 32 Bit
Many thanks in advanceWhen in the dock, right-click the printer icon and choose Auto Quit.

Battery Indicator stuck at 99-98%
I've had my iBook G4 (dual UBS) since September of 2006. I purchased it refurbished off the Apple website. I used it for well over a year with no problems. About 4 months ago, I noticed that my battery life was quickly becoming shorter, until it got down to about 28 minutes unplugged. I figured I needed a new battery but was holding off as long as possible because money is tight.
Then, my computer began randomly shutting off, while plugged in. When it would restart, a message saying the date/time settings had been reset to prior to 2001 would show up on the screen, but when I would check those settings, the date/time would be fine.
Along with that problem, my computer battery will not charge from the charger. Also, when I unplug the computer and run it on just battery, the battery life indicator shows either 99-98% full (with the battery life itself registering between 55:00 and 62:00 remaning) until it shuts down. When I click the button on the battery itself, the 4 green lights indicating how full the battery is all light up, until the computer shuts off (no "low battery" warning) and then the battery itself shows no charge.
Just for whoever answers this (and whoever you are, you rock!), here's the battery info from System Profiler:
Battery Information:
Battery Installed: Yes
First low level warning: No
Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 65524
Remaining Capacity (mAh): 64561
Amperage (mA): -1072
Voltage (mV): 14204
Cycle Count: 314
My question is, is this just an issue of needing a new battery or is this a larger system problem? Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.Hi, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
It is likely that you just need a new battery. The typical lifespan is two to three years, so yours has had a pretty good run.
You could try _calibrating the battery_ (which sometimes makes the battery status display more accurate), but it is most likely that you need to replace the battery.
Apple's article _about notebook batteries_ says, "A properly maintained Apple notebook battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 300 full charge and discharge cycles. You may choose to replace your battery when it no longer holds sufficient charge to meet your needs."
It sounds like that is where you are right now. -

I have 8 buttons on my web site. Each button will display different content. My page is: www.itconnect.co.nz
When you go to my page first time, by default "Design & Software" button will be active. Here when you look on first photo you can see that the bottom part is missing - logos.
However when i click again on "Design & Software" button the missing content will appear.
What could be the problem ?
Thank you to everyone who would like to help.I am little confused as i don't use flash - only for the Captcha.

IPhone 5 Battery Indicator and Reboot issues
Hello Apple community forum,
I have an iPhone 5 that I purchased approximately 20 months ago. It has worked flawlessly and been well taken care of. Only until recently, maybe 3 weeks after I updated to IOS update 7.1.1, I have been having a plethora of issues and now the phone is virtual useless. I have not jailbroken it or have had any third party hardware installed. It all started when I plugged in my Apple lightening cable for charging and an error appeared "unsupported charging cable". From there I have experienced the following problems:
Battery indicator stuck while charging at any various percentage or during normal use and standby. Only a reboot will provide current charge status.
Extremely fast battery drain.
Unexpected reboots at various intervals or while accessing Apps or browsers. Sometimes very frequent. One day had at least 60 reboots. one right after the other.
Cannot turn on or off
Shuts off when I put it in my pocket.
BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)
Screen exhibits lines or odd characters shuts down or reboots.
Time and date at different positions post boot.
Log file full of errors. (Panaic.ips bug type 110 | awdd Wireless | ResetCounter bug type 115| TCCService bug type 167 | Log-Aggregated bug type 193)
The update worked great on the phone and it seemed faster and the battery lasted a bit longer than usual. However, now it is a different story. I was able to backup my phone and offload all my photos on its good day. I was reading the support site and following a few of these forums. I follow the soft and hard rest procedures and even restored the phone back to factory default (DFU mode). It does seem to run a bit better in default without many apps on it but it still exhibits all the above issues. I bit the bullet and went to the Apple store to talk to one of there G men. He acted surprised and gave me the Apple trained verbal run around. He ran the diagnostic and stated that my battery did not even register as being in the system. From there he opened the phone, inspected it for damage and re-attached the battery and taped it back down. BTW, they hosed my screen cover. Nothing is ever free. They did offer to replace my battery for $80 but did not feel that would solve this problem. If anyone has had this issue and did have a new battery installed, please let me know how that worked out.
I wonder if this latest update exposes some type of hardware flaw that was previously fixed or just a bug(s) in the software code. Yet, Apple does not seem to acknowledge there is a problem let alone advise to any upcoming fix. It does not seem that Apple really cares about my little bit of business. If anyone has any ideas or experience, please let me know. This is frustrating and owning too much of my time. Thanks Apple! If tried techniques to get the battery to act right, such as rebooting by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, and those things haven't helped, take the iPhone and iPad to the Apple store genius bar and have the technicians test them to see if there is a hardware fault. Do that before the warranty runs out so you are covered.

N97 NAM Battery Indicator Problem
Hi, my Nokia N97's battery indicator does not seem to work anymore. It always shows full until the battery runs out and then the device shuts off. The battery indicator did work the very first time I tried it. I fully charged it and then after leaving the phone on overnight, the device had shut itself off. I assumed it was because the phone ran out of battery so I recharged it. After 3 hours of charging, I decided to disconnect the device from the charger and thats when the battery indicator stopped working. It's been showing full bars the entire day, even after heavy usage. I tried a reset (*#7370#) but that didn't fix it. The phone is fine, just the battery indicator doesn't seem to work. Also, after doing the reset, I lost the Ngage games. Does anyone know how to fix this battery problem and retreive the Ngage games that came with the phone. Thanks!
I have Very similar problem. Battery indicator shows full for a day, two even once for 4 days! And on th next day it starts RAPIDLY going down it is hard to finish the day without recharge.
It is VERY annoying as all my phones warn me at least a day before ran out of power (E71 is Very Good example) .

Lumia 521 battery indicator after a turn off
hi
i got a nokia lumia 521 a month ago , today i was with costumer support " t-mobile" and they asked me to turn of the phone pull the battery and take the sim card out , so i did , then they asked me to put everything back and turn it on so i did. but..... the phone didnt come up , by hitting / holding the power button , so i thought maybe my battery was very low when i turned it off , so i plugged my usb charger to the phone , now the phone does the following
when i plug the usb to the phone , the phone vibrates then goes to NOKIA then straight to the battery indicator with little red and a flashing on/off charging indicator , when i unplug the usb cable the phone turn off.
is there a trick to fix that ?

Found the problem(S)
Like people on the other website, the issue is the copper piece on the batteryis not contacting with the phone. That's why the battery icon shows only when its plugged in and nothing at all when its not plugged in. All the complaints I read on the internet has just one problem. It just happens I got two on this phone.........
1) I had to use a tiny needle to bend the copper piece out to ensure its making contact with the phone
2) after I bent the copper piece, the battery is still not contacting right, (you can't really tell by looking at it, I was just trying everything people were saying on the web. I spent hours on it and I got it !!!) I had to cut a business card to slide it underneath the battery. (2 business card thick). If u have same problem, u should try one card thick first.
Now the back cover feels like its swelling cuz of the business cards, but comparing to a $600+ phone, this $99 phone I can do everything I need it to, I can deal with that. Just wish I could have found the problem(s) sooner.
Hope this will help people with the same problem
Hey, this really helps, after looking for arkane solutions, I just add a piece of bend paper under the batery and it works... notice something,, the batery used to hace a plastic strip por pulling out.. this plastic strip got unglued so i removed, i see this plastic strip thinkness is needed for the wire copper piece to make contact... terrible design.
thanks for the advice. -
1020 Battery Indicator Dipped & Recovered After Re...
I've a month old Lumia 1020, among the first few in my country to own the phone during a prelaunch sales.
I've had this battery indicator issue since I've been using the phone, but it only occurs intermittently.
I charge the phone using Qi charger, usually JBL speaker if not the stand.
Right after full charge & removed from the charger, the battery drops very fast until 68% in less than 30min then it stays at that level for as long as I let it idle.
Once I restart the phone, the battery indicator will jump right back to 100%, this puzzles me as I thought something is draining the battery real fast (I was suspecting Skydrive backup but it happens even i didn't enable data/WiFi).
The restart recovery of the battery indicator cleared my doubt on apps draining the battery, no apps were draining it but the indicator was incorrectly shown.
I'm not sure if this is just a bug in Windows Phone, my Lumia 920 doesn't have this issue.
Anyone else has this problem?

seems like a bug in the firmware to me & maybe phone dependant. -
Battery indicator is stuck at 100%
After I upgraded by BB Z10 to 10.2.1.2102 / 2141, the battery indicator always shows 100%. Even when battery is getting depleted. Downside is that the phone suddenly shuts down when it's battery is completed discharged. Before shutting down it moemtarily shows the battery indicator color as red (empty), beeps and shuts down.
Have tried a number of things like taking battery out while charging and replacing, deleted a number of apps but no use. I think its an OS problem.
Solved!

Such as, what application? Got a link to one or are you just posting with no idea of what you're writing?

After Firefox loads the home page (google), the first web site I click in my bookmarks takes 4-6 minutes to come in. Clicking on screen makes it go half-tone until it loads. From then on, all other bookmarks come in fast. It doesn't matter what bookmark I load first, it always takes major minutes. I am using Norton 360 and have even disabled the security and web checking and it made no difference.
Okay, here's what I found out. Followed the above instructions...no joy. I think this maybe needs to be posted in a general OS forum, as I'm thinking this is more about that vs just being about iPhoto/iTunes. Here's what I tried and learned.
A new account allowed iPhoto to open up immediately. However, iTunes seemed a touch slow...not sure if that is just due to it being a new account. So, I deleted that account and moved on to the preferences instructions above.
I removed all preferences and placed them in a "preferences A" folder on the desktop. Launched iPhoto and got the exact same results. Super slow...took forever to open. Took forever to close. Same with iTunes.
So I placed all of the removed preferences back into the folder and decided to start launching and closing apps to see what's affected, what's not. Here are the findings.
iPhoto - The worst of all. Takes 4 minutes to open.
Mail - Opens fine, closes very slowly...apprx 1 minute
Calculator - This now opens incredibly slowly. Also noticed that the blue light below a launching app in the dock that seems to radiate was not radiating immediately....just sort of sat there. About a minutes passes, then it radiates for a second and calculator opens. Quitting is instant
Garageband - Launching is slooooow, quitting is instant.
Lightroom 3 - quitting is slow....quit results in upper-left menu items flashing once, then beach ball for about 30 seconds.
These apps check out perfectly fine with no problems launching or quitting: iCal, Safari, Firefox, Aperture, Photoshop (CS3), Illustrator (CS3), InDesign (CS3), Acrobat, Suitcase, Image Capture, Disk Utility, Text Edit, Photo booth, Final Cut Pro.
So I'm at a loss. This may be more of an OS issue, but figured I'd post here to follow up on the suggestions given. I think I'll pose a question in the OS forums. I'm thinking this might mean boxing up the iMac and making a trip to the genius bar. It's incredibly frustrating. -

Hello, rohan.kishore.patel.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Battery life can be difficult to troubleshoot as multiple factors contribute to how long a charge can last. Graphic intensive applications, display brightness and data connectivity are just a few of the items that can cause the battery life to decrease rapidly. I would need to know a little more information about your usage patterns to give you and idea on how to maximize battery life. However, here are some tips on how to adjust settings and charge the device that may help.
