Battery is not charging anymore

My Macbook Air is 3 weeks old. when i bought it the battery worked fine however, 2 weeks later I check the battery notification in the toolbar and it says that the "battery is not charging" The led on the power connector is green. The computer turn on with the AC adapter only. can anyone help.

Obvious question: did you reset the power manager?

On the MacBook Air keyboard, press (left) Shift-Control-Option along with the power button once.
Note: You must use the keys on the left side of the MacBook Air keyboard.
Wait 5 seconds and press the power button to start the MacBook Air.
Apple recommends only performing an SMC reset when the MacBook Air has been properly shutdown. This prevents issues from occurring to the file system.
While the power adaptor does not need to be connected to reset the SMC, it may be necessary in situations where the battery needs charging, or the MacBook Air has been without power for an extended period of time.

I experienced exactly the same issue: we have 2 Nokia 6210 Navigator at home. Since 1 week, mine is not charging the battery anymore: the little battery-bars keep raising while the phone is connected to a charger (I've obviously tried both chargers) but the battery is actually NOT being charged at all!... Switching batteries between the 2 phones didn't change anything: my wife's 6210 can charge whatever battery with whatever charger, mine can't charge any battery with any charger! The same behaviour is observed while the phone is indefferently ON or OFF.
Did someone experience this charging issue and find any solutions (except bringing it back for repair?), please?
(I've just upgraded the firmware to 04.13!)

Satellite A500-19t - Battery does not charge anymore

Hi,
I have a Satellite A500-19t and since last week my battery no longer charges.
When i start the laptop, the charge light is on for a few seconds but then turns off.
In windows, he knows the battery is in place but it doesn't charge it. Is this the battery that died?
Should i buy a new one?
Or could it be something else?
Anyone experienced this issue?

Try to update the BIOS.
Sometimes the BIOS update helps to solve some battery issues but to be honest, it sounds a little bit like a battery malfunction in such case the battery needs to be replaced.
By the way...test this workaround:
Disconnect AC
Shutdown
Remove battery
Connect AC
Startup
Under the Batteries category, right-click all of the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listings, and select Uninstall (its ok if you only have 1).
Shutdown
Disconnect AC
Insert battery
Connect AC
Startup

Battery does not charge after rescue & recovery

Hi,
Yesterday I set up my computer fresh from the preload on the harddrive due to slowness, instabilities, inability to use VPN etc. After the reinstallation of OS and securiy updates, my battery does not charge anymore. The battery indicator on the front panel keeps blinking, and the Lenovo message center reports that irrepairable damage has been done to the battery and that it must be replaced.
My battery is not among the recalls by Lenovo.
Any idea if there's any option but buying a new battery? It just does not seem right that the battery is unusable after new OS setup.

Guys, i am actually trying using a solution provided by the article shared by dominic23,
It says "Another option is to get an ionizer to help the atmosphere in the workplace be more conductive and pull charges away from contact surfaces, including yourself."
So in my home, we have such device that could clean the air using ion, and i am using it in my room...
Result: BANG!!! The electric shock on my macbook has gone!! I don't really care about physics but somehow it works! You guys should give it a try.

How are you trying to charge it, via a computer's USB port or its wall charger ? A lot of computers don't provide enought power to their USB ports to charge an iPad at a sufficient rate.
If you are using the wall charger then have you tried a reset to see if it charges after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If it still doesn't charge then have you tried a different charger and/or cable ? Do you know anybody else with an iPad so that you can try their charger and cable and they can try yours ?

My iPad 2 is not charging anymore...

My iPad 2 is not charging anymore when connected to my iMac by original USB cable. Connection exactly same as before, still syncs and shows up in iTunes etc but just no longer charges.
The cable is obviously fine otherwise I wouldn't be able to see it or sync in iTunes and there's nothing wrong with the USB port as I have tested it with other devices. It's not going to a hub but directly into my iMac so that means either the iPad is stuffed or someone has changed something in the updated OS X 10.7 or iOS 7... Have updated to latest versions of all software but still no luck.
iPad in iTunes also shows no battery/charge info in the Summary or in the Devices in the sidebar.

After checking my adaptor, USB cable and blowing debris out of iPad connector port, I still got the same message about the unit not charging. After a couple hours of research (and no useful suggestions from the Apple reps) I came across this solution: Go to settings on your iPad and turn the Airplane mode ON. Then turn the iPad OFF by pressing & holding the power button. Leave unit off for about 20 seconds. Turn the iPad back on and it should now show "charging." Turn airplane mode OFF and proceed as normal.

I had this issue with y battery that do not charge anymore.
So I believed that it was my charger. I got a second hand charger via a IT shop. Same. Then, I bought a new battery in France.Same issue. Then I bought a new Charger. Same with new charger and new battery.Do not charge.
And Recently, I found this article by surfing in google.

Battery would not charge on Equium M70-337

I can run my laptop from mains power but the battery won't charge anymore. It's been like this for a while and i haven't really looked into it yet.... but i think i may have deleted one of the programs that charges the battery a while back... stupid, i know. I still have toshiba power saver, but seem to remember there was a second charging icon that used to come up in the bottom right corner that i may have thought i didn't need. dont worry, usually it should not depend on software if the battery charges or not. But to go the secure way, I suggest you at first to re-insert the battery.
Battery should usually charge any time, no matter if windows is loaded or not. So, if not, then you have a power-related problem.
Just try this re-inserting and if this does not help, contact a technician (if you know someone) or a authorized service partner.
It can be, that you have a serious hardware problem.

After IOS6 installed om Iph4S my battery does not reload anymore or at least slightly.

IOS6 installed on my Iphone4S this weekend and since then the battery does not reload anymore. Just for a split of a second it reloads, it stops and again for a second it reloads. Does not come any further than approx. 5% in total.
Additional problem: I cannot synchronize my phone either anymore stating unknown error: OxE8000084

Are you saying that the battery from your friend showed the same low 'Full Charge Capacity (mAh) as yours? What does it show in his MBP?
Also, can you test your charger on his MBP and his charger on your MBP.
I also purchased the replacement online from a reputable source for a fraction of apple's usual cost. They also don't have a reputation for selling fakes like a lot of online stores do so I didn't see an issue of receiving a malfunctioning battery.
The quality of the battery remains to be determined.

Satellite M70 - battery cannot be charged anymore

I have an M70 which is 14 month old and I have a problem with it: the battery cannot be charged anymore! The computer and the battery are in a very good shape, and 2 days ago the battery worked just fine (it is an original 4000 Mah battery and it had a life between 2 and 3 hours). Now, the computer doesn't start unless it is plugged and it permanently shows the battery 1% charged. The notebook doesn't suffer any phisical damage.
What is weird is that when I am plugging the power, the battery seems to be charging - the charging led is on between 5 and 10 seconds, and then it shuts off!
When it is plugged, the notebook works fine.
The questions are:
1) can it be a software issue, or maybe a virus?
2) how can I find out if the battery is damaged or the problem is with the notebook and it cannot charge the batteries anymore.
The warranty expired and the company from where I bought it refused to have a look at it.

No, I dont think so!

This is not possible for the common user which doesnt have any experience and special tools.
I think you have to contact the ASP in your country for an check.
You will have to pay for this because the warranty expired and I really dont see any other possibilities.

My iphone 4s is not charging anymore. But the strange thing is if I turn off the phone, it is charging without any issues.
So the issue seems to be like it cannot charge when ios is loaded.
I have tried to,
1. Reset the phone ( No luck)
2. Confirmed its not charging port/battery problem
Also, when connected to pc, it says usb device cannot be recognized

Try a different sync cable.
Clean the dock connector on the device.
Plug the device into a wall outlet, does it charge?

Battery will not charge. and other issues

Well i'm working on a friend of mines notebook, its a n100 model 0768 12u running windows xp. This is the situation so far. First his hard drive had fried so i replaced that and put the o.s. back on it,but now the battery will not charge. also the wireless network card and dvd drive did not work. I had originally thought that they might have fried as well when the hard drive went down. However I looked through the forums here and found that alot of people solved the battery issue simply by replacing the battery i recommended that. He purchased a replacement battery ( not a genuine lenovo battery, don't know if that makes a difference) and when i put it in the dvd drive and the network card started working no problem. But alas the battery still would not charge. the system runs fine without a battery in it, but if i put the battery in it while its running it turns itself off after about 30 seconds of having the battery in. when the system is powered off and i put the battery in the battery lcd in front blinks 5 times orange then nothing for about 30 seconds then 5 more times. maybe thats a trouble code, don't know, looked all oover the forums and couldn't find anything quite like it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I saw a weird situation on friend's ThinkPad recently - a replacement battery arrived with a 37% charge (not 100% deliberately as somewhere around 40% is the best for shelf life), but it would not accept a charge. We did a reset by removing the battery & AC and pressing and holding the power button a number of times (some people say 10 times, some two or three times for a count of 5 or 10). This drains residual capacitance.
We plugged back in the battery and AC and it began to charge.
Might be worth a try here before he opens it up ....

If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go
