Battery Level Gauge for E61i - Help please

The battery indicator on the menu of these phones is hopeless and don't appear to be any better in the various themes available. Does anyone know where I can get a good basic battery guage - preferably freeware but I don't mind paying a few ££.

With the headset switched on and connected wirelessly go to:
Settings > Accessories and you'll see the battery level there.
If you don't see it you need to make sure your Nokia apps are fully up to date, especially Accessories and Audio. You can find the codes to update them on this link:

NEW iPhone 5 battery drain, DONE EVERYTHING! help please

i got a new iphone 5 recently and the battery is horrible, its hot to the touch and ill sleep with 100%, wake up to 75, go to school at 7am, and by 4pm (with limited use because im at school) i will have 6% of battery.
Apple was NO HELP and "checked my phone" and said everything was fine, its an iphone it uses a lot of stuff all this BS
i have:
deleted my email (i have NO email right now on the mail app)
resetted all settings
restored as a NEW PHONE
drained the batt down to 0 then back up
set push off, and fetch manually
turned off skype
only apps in my notification center are calls/messages/kik
turned bluetooth of
(i DO NOT have LTE because i live in australia and it is called 3G, and i cant turn 3G off because its a part of my plan and i use it minimally when im out and about)
im seriously losing so much hope ive been wanting this iphone for ages and THIS *****.
a few of my frineds have this problem too but some say their battery is better than ever
my iPod touch gen 4 even lasts longer, and i need my phone.
Please help, dont tell me to retry any of the above because i have about a million times for all of them

There was a bug in iOS 6 that introduced a bug with Exchange calendars that was plugged with 6.0.1. 6.1 introduced a new problem with calendar invitations, i.e. if you refused a calendar invitation for something like lunch every third Thursday, or the invitee withdrew it, then it throws it into a calendar loop where the server and your iPhone are contantly talking to each other. This will rapidly drain your battery, heat up your iPhone and, if you have enough iPhone users affected, impact the Exchange server. Try disconnecting from the Exchange calendar, or delete your Exchange account and reenter it without activating the calendar, and see what happens to your battery.
Apple is aware of this issue and working on an update.

getting error message 2324 when downloading the latest update of itunes help please.
Will not let me uninstall itunes from my computer, gives me the message that I don't have access need administrator. ( I am the only user of this computer)

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

ISync for Mac - Help please!

I have a Nokia N70 and am trying to update my contacts from my Address Book. I have up-to-date OSX 10.4.10 and iSync 2.4 and the phone is being recognised, so a good start! My problem is that my updated Address Book entries are not being transferred, somehow an old version of my Address Book is being used by iSync.
I've tried restarting the Mac, clearing all contacts from my phone and sync-ing again (repeatedly), but I still get the contacts from the old version of Address Book loaded into the phone.
I'm not a Mac expert, can anyone smarter than me help please?

The five Rs wont work for me- help please!

My boyfriend is stuck in Iraq on duty with and Ipod he just bought this month, and it isnt responding to anything. Its a hassel getting the ipod from one country to another so if there is anything that will fix the problem would be awesome! This is what he says its the problem (he cant get online often btw):
when i try to turn it on with it now plugged into the computer, the apple screen with turn on then it goes to a screen that has a folder with one of these marks ( ! ) and below that it says www.apple.com/support/ipod, then it turns off. and then when i plug it into my computer it does the samething but it does not turn off it just says do not disconnect. my itunes does not reconize my ipod. i tryed the whole 5 R's thing, but the ipod uploader program will not let me restore my ipod, it just freezes up on me.
(so its a combination of problems- thanks for the help!)
Also- does anyone know of a good case that will keep anything from getting inside (like sand? cause hes scratching ipod real bad)

You say you've tried different FireWire ports on the G5 ..but that often seems to be the problem ..or the fix!
Do you have a 3rd-party FireWire card installed in the G5..? If so, try connecting the cam to one of those ports instead of the built-in ports. Or try pulling out the 3rd-party card, and then try the built-in ports.
Do you have someone else's codec installed? Toast? Flip4Mac? To avoid those, try creating a new User (..System Preferences>Accounts and press the + at the bottom of the left pane..) then log in as that User instead, and see if it works. If so, you have conflicting software in your main User account.
However, it's not usually that: it's most often (..with a G5..) a hardware (FW port) problem, by all accounts. [..Even the Apple Store in London couldn't get their FX1 to work with their G5 when I wanted a demo of import times!..]
So there has to be a solution (my FX1 works fine with PowerBooks and a Mac mini, but I don't have a G5) ..I'd suspect a bad interaction between different ports - or recently-connected FW hardware - on the G5.
P.S: "..Then viola... iMovie crashes and all goes downhill from there.." Try removing the viola; it takes up too much space. Try a violin.

I just have a little problem with our phones, and was hoping someone could this problem to bed.
Phone A Rings: Staff A picks up phone, transfers to Phone B. No Problem
Phone B Rings: Staff B picks up phone, attempts to transfer to Phone A, Goes straight to voicemail, does not even ring on Phone A.
Basically my boss can pick up calls and transfer them to me. I however cannot Xfer them back to him, when i try it i just hear his voicemail.
Please if anyone can help its driving me nuts, as i cant xfer he has to keep coming to my desk.

Adapter light GREEN but battery does not charge NEED HELP, PLEASE!

My battery won't charge but the problem is a little different from others I have seen posted. The battery shows 3% charge but the adapter light is green. If the computer adapter is disconnected, the computer shuts down (as we would expect at 3% charge). I used another MacBook Pro cord to plug in and the same thing happens.

I purchased this 15" MacBook Pro (Oct 2006) from a reputable non Apple Apple dealer but f course this problem started a week or so after it was out of their resale warranty. There is nothing to say "check battery" just that it is not charging. It is a trek to ANY apple dealer or reseller and it is hard for me to get there easily so I was hoping someone might have an idea what is wrong and do what I can from home. Could it just be the battery? It seems more like a problem with the adapter connection. OCCASIONALLY, the light on the adapter will flicker on orange/red for a few seconds before going to green.

The only way to tell if you have a hardware problem is to trek on down to your local AS or AASP for them to run some diagnostic tests. If it turns out to be just the battery, you can purchase directly from them. I am assuming you do not have AppleCare....
Not sure if you can run the same tests at home. Hopefully, you have the right tools. Search through the following "do-it-yourself" sites:

TakeItApart
Also do a YouTube search. Loads of Macbook Pro +"how to"+ videos.

Skateboard movie compression for web, HELP. please

ok,here is the situation.
i want to get the best compression using h.264 (file size,quality etc) for a 6 min fast moving skateboard film with graphics and slow motion sequences.
i have compressor and quicktime pro too.
please give me some advice on whats best.
i would like the quality to be near the origianl final cut file.
would be great if someone could describe exact settings.

I would stick with David's suggestion. You're going to have to compromise size and quality. Any time you're dealing with web media you need to be sensitive to file size and download times. In order to accommodate an acceptable file size that caters to your market you'll have to compress the video which in turn will degrade quality. If your not happy with 800 kbps h.264 try again with a slightly higher or lower bit rate.

It sounds like you have iTunes credit and you are being prompted to verify credit card information. You may be able to set your payment method to None in the iTunes account settings with this article:

HT1459 Unable to charge now that iPod Touch 1st gen unless I find the 'sweet spot'. Some times battery drains while charging. Help, please!

I have a 1st gen iPod Touch and I am unable to charge unless I find the right spot when moving the connector head a bit. When I was able to charge, it would some times drain my battery. Now that it's completely dead, I can't find that right spot. Help??

is the logic board responsible for calibrating the battery and charging ,
It keeps track of the power and displays it in the upper right of screen.
could it drain the battery say by not switching the drive off i use to remember when shutting down after you swipe the red bar it would give you an icon animation of what looked like a wheel spinning and then a faint whirr and clicking like the drive is shutting down .
There is no moving drive. It's all solid state. What you were hearing is electronic sounds being generated from the logic board.
i still get the the icon and animation but i dont hear the click or whirring anymore suggesting that the drive isnt shutting off which may cause the drain but not the battery indication .
This even leads be to believe more that the problem is on the logic board.
do you think its worth pursuing this ?
If you could find a used logic board on eBay, it might be worth fixing, if you could get it cheap enough.

Battery Dies Pretty Quick. Help Please.

Okay so I have had my iPod for about three years. I never really had a problem with the battery until I dropped it in the water bowl. It's now starting to get on my nerves because my cord that charges it is already breaking and I haven't had time to go buy a new one. I have googled questions but none of them apply to me or help. My brightness is pretty much always on the lowest setting. People have said that having the notifications on can kill the battery or use it faster. Is this true? I am wondering this because my notifications are always on. I am looking at buying the iPhone 4s but I have heard bad things and good things about the battery life. I would like the truth about the battery life it would be a big help because either way I am probably going to end up buying it. But, back to the problem does anyone know why my battery is dying so quick? Could it be because of the water? Thanks.

Yes, notification and also location services and wifi and blutooth drain the battery.
With time/number of charge cycles the battery capacity decrease.

ok ive had my iphone since august 2008 love it great phone BUT i cant listen to music, as soon as i put ANY earphones into the jack the phone has a mind of its own! for example...
after plugging headphones in, a few seconds later music randomly plays then another few seconds it pauses then this repeats but in different patterns, i have tried many types of headphones even bought new ones and none work! This really annoys me as its my only mp3 player and i want to listen to music lol soo is there any solutions u guys can give me.
p.s. i have tried restoring it many times + restarting etc.

I decided to give this a shot. I did a google and couldn't find one of these for sale in the US. There were a lot that looked similar, but close inspection showed the male 3.5mm end to only have 2 channels. All these do are extend the length of your head set as the plug is the same as any 3.5mm headset plug. Apple sells one of these and I can guarantee it doesn't help this problem in any way.
I also saw one advertised that DID have the 3 rings on the tip, but the text clearly stated that it was for ANY headset that included a mike. Once again, this should not correct this problem.
So, I just ordered one of these from the site above in the UK. The total cost came to around $9 US and is supposed to be shipped Air Mail First Class. When I receive it, I'll post the results here. I'm hoping it will get here quickly as I'm leaving for Europe in 2 weeks and would like to use it with my noise reduction headset on the flight.
