Battery level indication stuck at 100%

I purchased this z2 just this december and its acting weird for a month now.. It took me awhile figuring out why the unit just shuts down even if the battery percentage was considerably high. The true percentage level only shows up after i press the little thingy on the side for reset.. Please help..

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

  • IPad battery life meter stuck at 100% since 5.1 install

My iPad 1 battery life meter has been stuck on 100% since the 5.1 update, even though I have used it for many hours and done a power cycle a few times. Update was done through iTunes.

I guess I spoke too soon...
Doing the reset took it from sticking on 100% to now being stuck on 98% for the last 4 hours. Is there a known problem with the 5.1 update and the battery percentage indicator?

  • Volume level gets stuck at 100%, iPhone 3g

iPhone 3g, running the latest 2.0.1.
I just got the phone yesterday but twice now the volume has gotten stuck at 100%. The volume display reads full blocks and you can't change it with the volume controls or vibrate switch. Even if you go into the iPod section, and try to drag the volume slider down, it just slowly creeps back up to full. The only way to 'fix' this is a reboot.
Has anyone else had this? Are there are any fixes?

    Hey [ shua ],
Do you have a protective case on the iPhone? Try testing without it.
Also, try restoring the iPhone. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305744
If the issue persists after restoring the iPhone may need hardware repair. Make a reservation to have a Mac Genius take a look at it or call AppleCare.

  • Battery indicator is stuck at 100%

After I upgraded by BB Z10 to 10.2.1.2102 / 2141, the battery indicator always shows 100%. Even when battery is getting depleted. Downside is that the phone suddenly shuts down when it's battery is completed discharged. Before shutting down it moemtarily shows the battery indicator color as red (empty), beeps and shuts down.
Have tried a number of things like taking battery out while charging and replacing, deleted a number of apps but no use. I think its an OS problem.

  • Apple Wireless Keyboard (2011) Battery Level Stuck At 100%?

I got a new iMac, the one that was released by apple in late November, and I went to system preferences > keyboard, noticing that the keyboard battery level is stuck at 100% every time I check now and then... Anyone else having this issue? Fixes? Help?

    Hello:
I suggest you install a widget (mighty monitor) that gives more accurate readings.

  • Battery icon stuck at 100%

My battery indicator is stuck at 100%. It will stay there until it dies. I have tried resetting by holding home and power keys. I have also tried connecting to iTunes and doing a restore. It is still stuck at 100%. Any ideas on how to fix it? It is pretty annoying not knowing how much battery life is left.

My battery indicator is stuck at 100%. It will stay there until it dies.
If restoring as a new iPhone (not from a backup) doesn't fix it, there may be a hardware problem. In that case, make an appointment with an Apple Store Genius Bar for warranty service.

  • HP Spectre x360 battery stuck at 100%

I just got the HP Spectre x360 from the MS Store (signature edition). In addition to the noisy tapping on the touchpad, here's the problem I noticed right away: The Windows battery indicator is stuck at 100% for about an hour (after disconnecting from AC), and then immediately drops to something like 92%. From then on, the discharge appears to be normal. I tried following the advice here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Notebook-PC-Questions/Battery-Indicator-shows-100-charged-at-all-times/td-p/1303467 -- did not help. Also, tried calibrating the battery via the diagnostics tool, but it passes the check and the option to calibrate is never offered. If needed, I can attach the battery info displayed after the check. Latest BIOS from HP. Note that this is a 2-day old purchase, which can be returned/exchanged. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Welcome to the HP Forums! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. Thank you posting. I have read your post, and I understand that the battery indicator does not decrease until the volume drops to 92%. I am happy to assist you with that. Please empty and fully charge your battery several times. And if the problem still persists, please manually calibrate the battery. • HT4993 Battery indicator stuck at 100% since update to iOS 6

Since I have update my IPhone 4S to the iOS 6 operating system my battery indicator is stuck at 100%. I know that I should have used battery life since it has been over 24 hours since it has been plugged in.  Has this happened to anyone else and how can I fix it? I have trued resetting the phone and also tried resetting it when plugged in.

    It HAS to be hardware..
I made the appointment, thank you.
I consistently close all apps, keep my brightness down, keep wifi off when not in use, and location services. Reset my phone and still the battery drains so fast!
It appears to be messaging, and Facebook apps, and safari that are the leading cause..
If I send maybe 10 texts, I'll easily lose 4-8 % battery. I literally watch it drain in front of my eyes.
Roughly a minute of Facebook, safari, or mail consumes 1-2%.
That is faulty hardware, or software..
Either way it's apples fault. My phone is mint! Never been out of this otter box except to wipe dust off and when I charge it..
I charge regularly. Let it die down before charging, and let it almost completely die then fully charge it once a month too.
I hope apple repairs my battery, or software

  • Keyboard & Battery levels query (2 week old 27" iMac)

    Hi,
Keyboard battery level stuck at 100% then suddenly dropped to 67%. Turned keyboard off then on and since then the level has been stuck on 100%.
Mouse battery level indication OK as it ticks down nicely. I've been using rechargeable batteries and they are lasting better than the Apple supplied Energiser batteries despite being old and useless when used in torches / GPS etc.
This issue is not important as I have a plentiful supply of batteries - Just interested. Thanks.

    HI,
Rechargeable batteries are definitely the way to go!
Try resetting the PRAM to see if makes a difference in the battery levels.

  • Magic Mouse Battery Level - System Preferences

I put this question up awhile ago but got zero responses...
    13" MacBook Pro (mid 2010) with OS X v10.8.3
The Magic Mouse Battery level shows a constant 100% level in System Preferences and then it will suddenly give me the message that Mouse batteries are low.  I will then check System Preferences and it will show, what I assume is, the correct battery level of 5%.
Has anyone seen this issue with Mountain Lion?  I never had the problem with Snow Leopard.  Also, I've tried resetting SMC and PRAM but no change.  Any ideas out there?
    Thanks in advance,
    d

    Hello Barry,
Thank you for the reply.  I was thinking that I was the only one having the problem since I couldn't find any discussions on it.  Perhaps though, I may have not searched the database enough to find anything.
I can't remember having the problem with Snow Leopard; only since I've been using Mountain Lion.  I will definitely check out the Might Monitor widget which sounds good!
Do you know where I can get to an Apple page to report this bug?  It's not a massive problem but I think it would be fair to report it to Apple anyways.
Thanks again for your help and I look forward to your reply regarding reporting the problem!

  • 1950-Battery level drops suddenly to 5%

    Hi,
I have a Satellite 1950-902. I was wondering if someone could help with the following problem/unusual behaviour that began about a month ago:
I start using the laptop with the battery showing up as being full in Power Management. After about ten minutes of battery use, as soon as the battery level shows as being around 85%, the battery level indication suddenly drops sharply to 5%, and the system hibernates. When I recharge the battery, the charging process takes a very short time (about half an hour).
This behaviour is repeated every time I use the battery now.
    What is going wrong?
    Thanks.

    Hi Eleni,
It sounds as if some of the cells in your battery may have failed and consequently the battery can only hold a small portion of the normal charge. I would suggest a new battery is called for.
    regards,

  • MacBook Pro battery level indicator is stuck at 100%

Got this MacBook Pro in January of 2008. Great machine, replaced battery last spring and more recently had some sort of repair done when the screen would not activate. No problems otherwise.  Now all of a sudden my battery level indicator is stuck at 100% regardless of actual battery charge level. The computer will allert me that it needs plugged in immediately or it will go to sleep, but it would be nice to have the indicator working again. Any ideas?
    JG

    If it's a pre-unibody MBP with a removable battery:
    1)  Shut the computer down
    2) Disconnect the Magsafe AC adapter
    3)  Remove the battery
    4)  Hold the power button down for 5-6 seconds
    5)  Reinstall the battery.
    6)  Connect the Magsafe adapter to power and turn the computer back on.
This will reset the System Management Controller.  One of the SMC's functions is reporting of the status and remaining charge of the battery.

  • Playbook stuck on 'Battery Level Critically Low' screen.

I know there's 100's of forums about the Playbook's battery problems. Just hear me out, please. Nearly 3 weeks ago, my Playbook died on me. It was stuck at 11% power, I tried charging with the charging it came with, nothing. When it went flat, I tried stack charging. No luck there either. Later, I bout a rapid travel charger, tried stack charging, nada. (I did get the LED activity and sceens the support page mentioned). Leaving it charging for a while, it was able to get the the home screen, but refused to charged. Since my Playbook was able to recieve power when connected to the rapid charger, I connected my Playbook via USB. I made a backup and I wiped the OS through the Desktop Manager because I thought my Playbook was bricked. My problem still wasn't fixed. I forgot that I still needed 20% power to install the OS, and since my Playbook refuses to charge, I'm stuck on a screen saying: 'Battery Level Criticaly Low' with a RED battery icon with a lightingbolt through it, with 0% on top of it, telling me to connect it to a power source, even known its connected to my Rapid Charger. I have no idea what to do now. Disconnecting the Rapid Charger immediatly shuts-off my Playbook. I also noticed something wierd. If connected to a Rapid Charger alone, when I disconnect it while a RED battery icon appears, it shuts-off right away, I don't get the icon telling me to reconnect. But when I have to connected to the Rapid Charger AND my PC via USB, I get an icon telling me to reconnect to a power source when I remove the Rapid Charger. My problem still remains. Even if a leave it charging while connected to my PC, and it boots-up, I still get the 'Battery Level Critically Low' screen. It still shuts-off when I disconnect the charger. Any tips? I've tried the Jump-Boost, stack charging and the 'Battery Characteristics' page wasn't much help either. My Playbook is still alive, I just need to find out how to make it charge. I'll draw a diagram of what's happening and post it here if you need it.

Assuming the rapid charger is the three pin magnetic type made by Blackberry, that charger almost always will charge a good playbook. Disconnecting the rapid charger should give the same red battery icon, but it doesnt. As it seems neither route will charge it I suspect the battery, the battery strap or the motherboard has a dry joint. If you cant get to it and find it by removing the back of the playbook, I would assume its days are over.
If so the backup will be of no use unless you can get another playbook.
Last resorts before getting out the spudgers...
Leave on rapid charger overnight.  Press power button for 20 sec every so often next day whilst on charge.
    Or
Leave connected to a non sleeping laptop usb overnight. Playbooks in standby will usually accept a trickle charge that way.
    Sarah.
