Battery life lasting longer
when i got my ipod touch, it said in the manual or something, the battery life of the ipod depletes every time you charge it or something, & that you can pay to have it replaced (This would probably happen a long long time after you bought the ipod touch).
But can you make the battery life last longer, if you keep it connected to the charger.
p.s i have a charger connected to the mains, so i dont need to keep my pc on all the time.

If, for example, you charge a battery only 5%, it only counts as 5% of one cycle. The batteries in the iPod will do about 400 cycles before they are down to about 80% of their original capacity. So even after a year or so of heavy use you'll still have plenty of time.
It's important for the electrons in a Lithium battery to be kept moving. As such Apple recommend that at least once a month you do a full charge/discharge cycle to keep all the electrons in the battery moving:

Why doesn't the Macbook Pro's battery life last anywhere near 5 hours, as advertised? This is my second one and it lasts 2. It's false advertising, and Apple doesn't seem to making a big deal or know anything about it, which i'm sure they do. Since their general practice is to deny problems exist in all their products, i'm here to make it known that the most recent Macbook Pro has a severe battery issue and it needs to be addressed.
I'm running OS X 10.8.3, Bluetooth is off, and haven't installed any third party software.My MacBook Pro is over a year old and still gets 2.5 to 5 hours, depending on how intensively my application activity is hitting the CPU and disk. Remember that battery life depends on usage and component loads. You could get 1 hour editing HD video since it would hit all cores and slam the disk constantly, or 8 hours in a cabin in the woods with wifi and Bluetooth turned off, only writing text files, and with the backlight turned down and no disc in the drive. You should check Activity Monitor to make sure you don't have some processes using unusually high amounts of CPU for long periods of time (like browser tabs running Flash ads in the background, chewing up CPU and battery power without even being seen).
Like mende1 says, there are not huge numbers of Mac users getting only 2 hours, or the world would have heard about it by now and MacBook sales would be down. If you are only getting 2 hours there is something going on local to your machine or usage habits.

That's not strictly true. Apple has often announced updates or repair/exchange programs to address various problems that had come up over time. Maybe not always, but it does happen. They also have often helped me and my friends when we brought in Macs that were out of warranty and had problems. They had no legal obligation to work on our Macs for free, but they did anyway. -
After uploading our phones with the latest update, we have noticed that the battery life has deminished considerably. I now have to charge my phone overnight and two or three times a day. I really liked this phone and can not believe that you are now going to charge us $79 a battery to fix what is most definately a problem with your latest update. Your own people, once I talked to them earlier today, told me they are showing a history of issues that are showing up after the update was put in place. I want you all to know how disappointed I am in your company for the handling of this issue. I always thought "Apple" was the line I didn't have to worry about having any types of issue. And that you all would stand behined your product 100%. Now I am not so sure.
I would love to hear back from your company on how you perceive the issue with all of these phones that prior to the update didn't have any issues and how after the update THEY ARE NOW having issues. I do not believe this was an issue due to the age of a battery and that was pretty lame to say so. It was fine and now its not.
Please feel free to contact me and help me figure out a way to pay for all of the batteries that will be needed for our company to contiue doing business as needed.

All the way at the bottom is the battery info. It states that you'll get up to 12 hours of battery on 3G/LTE. Of course, that number is obtained by following a very specific set of steps - the real world number is less.

Also, I just bought a new battery because the original that came with my computer was dying too fast.
Well, this new one lasts just a little longer. I believe that is something else that is eating up the battery.

I recently noticed this past week that my battery was at full charge after it hadn't been docked for at least a day. Now we all know that the battery is used pretty quickly - so I was concerned that the full battery display was inaccurate. Just to test it, I did not charge it for a second night. The next morning when I hit the home button, the battery was completely drained. However, once it went to sleep, I hit the home button once more - and it turned on with over 75% of battery life. I refused to plug it in and it lasted three days - with my surfing the internet, making calls, and playing with apps.
Now no complaints on my end - I'm just paranoid I will assume I have more than enough battery and when I need it most, it turns out to be dead. I thought it might be some sort of bug. Has anyone else noticed this?Here's Apple's battery advice: http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html

MBP Battery Troubleshooting: To check for a bad battery, go to Apple/About This Mac/More Info In the System Profiler window, select the Power entry & look for Health Information. If next to Condition it says "Check Battery" then your battery is probably on the fritz.

Battery not last longer
I have had it stop sending/receiving calls 3 times now... the first two times the problem went away the next day, but this time I am two days out and still not working.
I have not replaced my phone, I am afraid to do it because from another thread that I read, it usually doesn't fix the problem.
Here is the other thread I found: I can't make or take phone calls, but i can message and use data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've gone through three Samsung Galaxy S5's in the past three days, two of which have this problem and one just stopped working all together.
My problem started on day 15 so I couldn't just get a replacement at the store, had to get a rma to get a replacement. If you have only had the phone for 3 days you might want to go to your store and have them replace it with a new one. Me, if I could I would switch to another phone, but it looks like I am stuck with the S5 for now. -
IPhone 4s battery not lasting long even on standby
For last 2 days now my iPhone hasn't been holding its charge, even in standby mode.
I took screen shots of it earlier and at 5:54am whilst in work the battery was at 82% then it stayed in standby in my pocket until the next screenshot I took and the percentage was falling fast, by 9:28 the percent was at 1.
Does anyone here know if there is anything I can do? I have restored the iPhone and also let the battery charge up to 100% from no charge in it and to no avail!
The phone is only a month and a half old and nothing has changed since the last 2 days so hard to understand why it has started doing this, brightness has always been at 100% so that's not affecting it.
I would go to an apple store to ask but closest one is 160 miles away :(

I just bought this MBP like 2 weeks ago & I found that the battery life is a little short.
Only lasted 3.5-4 hours. In saying that, I'm not doing anything extreme. Only browsing the web and doing some homework on Words & Excel.
