Battery Life on Web Browsing using Wifi only 3 Hours, how to expand?

I am using MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2), 2010 4 Gb, 2.66 Ghz Intel Core i7, 15 "
Battery Health=92 %
Cycles=491
Using firefox on wifi, the battery lasts only 3 hrs. (Only Browsing and some downloading).
Any tips on expanding the battery health,life and its time.

Just turning off Cloud will not prevent him from turning it back on.
Rignt now, if he uses the App store, iTunes thinks it's talking to me.

First, turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account, while your sim is still in the phone. Then: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. Give it to your grandson & he gat then set it up as he wants.
Important your turn iMessage & FaceTime off to disassociate the phone from your Apple ID. Apple "claims" to have fixed this with iOS 6.0, but until I can absolutely confirm such, I still recommend you turn all of that stuff off first.

Hello, I have make a Web Browser using Swing/AWT, I've done the basic Web Browser, my assignment asks for addtional functionality like Bookmarks, and history. I can't post all the code, but here's what i've done for both.

you must add the button to the Component where you want to show it
(or the historyItem to the JMenu)
e.g.:

You don't need JavaTV to write a web browser.
Whichever Java platform you're using with JavaTV should provide enough.

Just got a BB Bold and was wondering how to set my phone (browser) to use WIFI ONLY, as 3G is quite expencive but we have a good WIFi coverage free.

hello,
when you configure the browser options, there is a place where you choose the default browser to take. In the list, there should be the "Hotspot" and also the "WAP/WML" and also the "Internet Browser". BBSingh suggests you to select hotspot as the default browser.

Hey there, I've just got my bb torch and I'm trying to configure my browser so that it only uses wifi in the connection. I was able to do this on my bb 9000 by deleting the network browser in the service book setting but I can't seem to find that in the bb torch service book. Hope you can help!

LCromwell is correct. Your phone LOVES connecting to a WiFi signal when one is available. Turn on your WiFi and start browsing!

When traveling abroad, how to use wifi only?

My daughter is going to a tech school in Denmark and wants to use her phone for local wifi access (web browsing and iMessage, etc). This morning we were able to exchange text messages when she was not connected to wifi. It appears she would have been using cellular without a global plan. Even with a global plan text/sms messages would cost $0.50 each
I'd like a checklist of what to turn off so her phone will work on wifi only.

We have it working now and it appears that turning off SMS and MMS is what we had missed before.
Additionally, it seems that she can only iMessage with someone who has started the iMessage conversation from here in the U.S. Otherwise, her iMessages are not delivered.
Didn't get to try the Airplane Mode suggestion but it sounds pretty likely to work,,,

We're thinking of getting a iPod touch for the kids for xmas and I'm wondering if there is a way to disable web browsing and iTunes wifi access, since I understand there are no parental controls available on the touch. Thanks

yes there is no way to disable this icons, and the only way to do this is to put a password on your wireless router settings, this way they don't know the password and that they can not access the safari, youtube, and the wi-fi itunes music store.

My iphone 4 did the iOS 5 update yesterday and I feel like my battery life is worse. I've only had the phone a week and I havent plugged it into itunes on my laptop at all or anything yet. Anything suggestions?

I got the same problem to. In 3mins I lost 8% of battery life I just used my phone for like a min. Had my phone for a month now and it started when I updated to ios5 and gone worse when updating to ios5.0.1.
