Battery not fitting correct?

Anyone else have this problem where the batter on the lock side dosen't sit quite right and the front lip sticks out a bit, you can feel the edge of the plastic.

Did you replace the ram and noticed this problem after? If this is the case you have to ensure the L-shaped metal bracket reinstalled correctly. There are sponges on this bracket that you have to coax into the ram conduits with a tiny flathead screwdriver. If you don't do this the bracket won't sit properly and the battery won't sit properly either. Having said all this, if the ill-fitting battery came out of the box like that, then send it back to apple - it's a lemon. Good luck.

Suddenly noticed that the removable battery in my laptop is not sitting correctly in it's receptacle. I took it out and examined it and noticed it is slightly misshapen. It seems to still be working but not sure if it's SAFE to use it.
Can it be replaced easily and how?

It suggests that the battery is expanding. Do not use it.
Go to an Apple store for a replacement. You might get one gratis (but don't count on that). I did when I asked the employee if the battery was going to have twins).

Battery not displaying correctly (log in says 96% but after logging in it says 100%)

So I got this new Macbook pro 15" (mid 2014) and I just noticed that the battery level indicator doesn't match the login page when you start your laptop (like it will say 96% but when you login it will say 100%).
I also try to use coconutBattery and got the same result as the login page indicator. It's quite frustrating as to know if my battery will run out at 10% or not without the coconutBattery app.
Does anyone have this issue as well? or am I the only one?
If anyone has this problem, does anyone know why this is happening?
My battery now is at 100% but CCB says it's 95.5%. It's very frustrating haha.

I also have the mackeeper and I used it to check for viruses and it found one and I deleted it through mackeeper but it seems that there was no solution to the problem.
That could be your problem. There is no need for anything like MacKeeper. Search these forums for the problems it causes and the method to fully remove it from your system. It's quite possible it damage your system removing what it thought was a virus. Do you remember what and where it was it flagged as a virus. There are no viruses on OS X, and all the other Malware is handled by the OS itself.
Did you ever manage to boot into the Recovery HD. It won't ask for a password, so if it did, you didn't get into the Recovery HD. See here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718

Power fit function is not fitting correctly to sub-array controlled by graph cursors?

I am using two cursors on an XY graph to select a subset of the graphed data to fit a power function to. I noticed that the first selection cursor (left-most on the graph) seems to have more control of the amplitude and power of the power fit while the second cursor only seems to limit the "range" of data selected (i.e. does not have much influence over the fit, even though it should). When comparing the exact same data in excel using a power fit, the excel fits a completely different line.
Any help would be much appreciated. (please disregard the local variables in my code, only been at this 3 months) I have attached the VI as well.

Two suggestions. Change the default parameter bounds. Specifically, the offset upper and lower limit are both 0, forcing this parameter to be 0. Change the limits to be Inf for upper limit and -Inf for lower limit. Also, tighten the tolerance of the fit to be 1E-6 or so.

Images not fitting correctly into boxes

Hi there,
I'm trying to recreate a website something similar to this:

When I put the pictures into the boxes they don't size up
correctly even though I am inputting the correct dimension for the
images the same size as the boxes. Is it because I am using a table
width of 100%? I want to be able to resize the browser window
without having the boxes stretch. What am I doing wrong?

We really apologize for all the inconvenience which has caused you.
While you are trying to apply the auto sync on couple of images can you try to make sure that the images are not stacked.
Also there hadnt been any issues reported so far on this and whatever issues I have seen have been reported were that the sync requires some time to apply on number of images and the customer doesnt wait for that much

Battery not measured correctly

Hello,
I've recently replaced my NB500's battery with a new one. The new battery keeps the laptop running for over 3.5 hours, but the remaining capacity isn't read correctly by windows and because of that, the computer shuts down before windows even pops up a warning that the battery is about to be depleted.
Is there a way to fix that or to re-calibrate the system to read the new battery correctly?

My battery on my iphone won't hold a charge. As soon as I disconnected it from the charger it decreases rapidly. It gets extremely hot as well. It also takes hours to charge. I took it to apple and they gave me a new iphone (refurbished) and after I synced it the same problems started. I took it back and they said it was a software issue and to sync it as a new iphone. Same problems. Does anyone know what this means and what I can do? I am at the end of my rope!! If you could help I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I don't think you can salvage it. The battery in my 2003-vintage PpwerBook in the original, shows only 130 cycles, and a health of about 85 percent. However, it can only run the computer until it hits about 60 percent charge and then dies. A guy at an Apple Store looked at it and said that, when the "dies" point is roughly the same percentage each time, it typically indicates a bad cell.
He did offer this longshot procedure in a case like mine: after the computer shuts down, recharge while watching the percent meter and let the new charge reach about half of the shut-down percent--in my case, that would be 60/2 or 30 percent. Let the battery run down again, then charge to 10 percent more, 40 in my case. Do this until yu have charges well past the old "die" point.
He explained that, rather than die, a cell can "forget" its state and the above procedure can sometimes "wake up" the cell and get it back to the party. Didn't work on mine, unfortunately. The previous owner ran the PB on wall power nearly all the time which doesn't help battery performance.
Also make sure your ac adaptor is putting out 65W. The adaptor that came with mine is for a 15" PB and only puts out 45W. It cannot start the computer unless the flaky battery is installed.

Anyone had a problem with Micro/Smart sims not fitting in the Iphone 4s Tray?

Just got the Iphone 4s did the whole process of cutting up an original sim to fit, finally went to the phone shop to get a Micro sim just incase the cut sim was doing damage or not fitting correctly only to find that the Micro sims wont fit into my 4s. Compared my tray with my sisters 4S tray and it is smaller??
Very confused so rang Apple who told me I would have to try and make it to one of their shops during a weekday as those are the only free appointments currently, They stated they could not send me a replacement tray without charging me, unless I make the very large effort of going to my nearest apple store when it suited them.
Not very impressed with this as I heard Apple were **** hot at customer service, this is all after spending 50 mins talking to them

Cmd-0 'Fit to screen' in CS5 not working correctly

I am running Photoshop CS5, and when I am use cmd-0 (fir to screen) the window reduces to the tiniest speck
Any ideas as to how to get rid of this problem?

I use floating windows. The only thing I notice that is different between CS6 and previous version is the document display area aspect ratios are different.
Previous versions of Photoshop sized the document display area to have be the same aspect ratio as the document where CS6 document display area has a different aspect ratio then the document.
The CS6 document area is very close to the document's aspect ratio it just a single pixel narrower and a pixel shorter then it needs to be to match the document's aspect ratio. That means document does not fit into the area perfectly. There needs to be active scroll bar for the whole document is not being displayed.
It is easy to see this. Just do a select all you will not see marching ants on the left or top of the document. You will see them on the right and bottom sides of the document. Select the move tool tap the right arrow key once and the down arrow key once the right and bottom side marching ants will now not be visible but the left and top side marching ants will be visible.
Photoshop CS6 window zooming does the same the display area is off by the same amount one pixel narrow one pixel short.

CRM 2007 IC : error "BP category 2 does not fit the data in category 1"

When I am trying to save the data on the Bupacreate page it gives the error as follows.
"BP category 2 does not fit the data in category 1".
Can anyone suggest what is causing this error to happen and how this error can be corrected.

Hi,
This error usually occrus when you try to set field in without specifing bptype ie person, group etc. In our scenario we were trying to set field in Person which was not present in group. but since do_prepare_output method is same in both, that feild was getting set for group as well. When we placed restriction this error got removed.

In Rtf Template ,table is not fit with window after hide columns

Hi,
In my RTF template i have table with 5 columns in that 3 colums will display based on condition. During runtime it showing correctly with 5 columns i.e fit to window.
suppose if any of column is not displayed(hide) and table is shrinking and not fit with window.
Tried with following option in word doc:
Right click on table and select Auto Fit--> Auto fit to window. but didn't work. Please let me know is any options to make table to fit with window.

I've changed the output device in order to test with the LP01 printer.
This device is not active in SPAD but if i setup my action with this device I can preview the smartform. It is not possible to preview the smartform with the printer that I'd like to use.

Function keys are not working correctly

I've been looking all over the various threads and I can't find an answer that solves my problem.
Here are the details:
I bought the computer in the U.S. where I live.
I have a iMac 2.4GHz intel Core 2 Duo EMC 2133 with a 20" screen. Bought it new in February 2008.
I have Mac OS X 10.5.8 (I am waiting for my order for OS Snow Leopard to come in!!)
I have been using a wireless mouse and Keyboard (Love not having cords!)
Recently, my wireless keyboard got a short and quit working. I went down to the apple store and got a new wireless keyboard.
I had the computer with me at the genius bar so, yes, the apple employee saw exactly what I have.
I took it all home got the thing all put back together and got the new keyboard paired up and working with the computer.
Here are the problems:
Went to go use the function keys while using iTunes and found they weren't working properly. The F10, F11 and F12 do not control the volume of sound as the keyboard indicates they would, they instead activate dashboard, spaces, and application windows.
Following the advice of other threads, I looked over in the system preferences and made sure the "Use all F1, F2 etc." box was unchecked (it was unchecked), things still didn't work.
I tried the fn key but it appears to not work at all it has no effect on the functioning of the function keys.
I went under keyboard shortcuts in system preferences and found the F10, F11 and F12 keys, it confirms that those keys control spaces, dashboard and application windows as they are performing but shows no options to either reassign to volume control (as marked on the keyboard) or make the fn key work.
I've gone back and forth trying various combinations of checked and unchecked boxes to see if anything would work, so far I've come up with nothing.
A couple more important or interesting facts:
Yes I have turned off and taken the batteries out of the old keyboard. My bluetooth connection currently shows it as disconnected.
I have restarted the computer.
One thing I find odd; when I go under preferences and go to Keyboard and Mouse when I go under the section "Bluetooth" it shows Bluetooth mouse with the name of the mouse and the battery level. BUT nothing is showing up under bluetooth Keyboard, I can't figure out how to change this and don't know if it is contributing to the problem.
When I go under the bluetooth logo on the top bar I find the mouse and both keyboards referenced, the old keyboard is shown as disconnected and the other two are connected. I have tried to update the device's name but it doesn't seem to let me.
I have double clicked on the device under bluetooth and it shows the new keyboard as discoverable, paired and connected. Hence, I am using the new keyboard to write this inquiry.
Please, any assistance would be of great help. I have tried to be thorough in order help narrow the possible problem. Thanks!!

Just thought I'd let you know. Our suspicions were correct, it was the OS. After I installed Snow Leopard (10.6.8) all the problems were corrected. I also updated the RAM from 1 gb to 6 gb. The mac is working all around better. Sorry it took so long to get back to everyone. My superdrive had pooped out. Rather than replace it I got an external drive from OWC connected with firewire 800. So far everything is running very well, as far as I can tell this external drive is better than the original superdrive. My superdrive has always acted funny, infact I returned the first mac I got after a week because its superdrive was also malfunctioning. Anyway, all that to say everything seems to be fully functioning again.

For the last 3 weeks my itunes is not working ' itunes was not installed correctly please reinstall error 7 ". and quicktime isen't wokring either ' pleas install apple application support here is a list of thinks that i'v tried to do.
1) downloaded revo installer pro ( 30 days trial ). and deleted everything apple and than reinstalled itunes.
2) downloaded winrar to download apple aplication support.
3) updated everything in my windows update exept for ' windows 7 pack 1 x64 systems ( kb976932 ) because my battery needs to get replaced but i can't buy that untill next month ( i'm in college ).
please please please! help me i don't know annything about all this!

Battery not recognized, not charging, but not dead...AC plugged in

My MacBook recently had a dilemma of not turning on. I went to the Apple Store and the Genius Bar tech guy fixed it with a SMC/PMU whatever power reset process it's called. Now my computer turns on, it just doesn't recognize the battery. The tech guy said my battery isn't dead, it just needs to be recharged. I'm kinda concerned that he didn't bother solving the issue at the store or try to tell me what is wrong. The computer only runs off the AC adapter, but sometimes when i plug it in the MagSafe connector will quickly flash green and orange repeatedly over and over and the battery status icon will go between X and 0% or from "No batteries recognized" to "Battery not charging" or "Charging not complete". This only happens occasionally. It also might say "Calculating..." but it will always go from one of these things then back to "No battery recognized" super fast repeatedly for a long while.
Also, when i close my MacBook, it won't go to sleep immediately like it used to. So if i close it then unplug it to take it somewhere, it shuts down as opposed to sleeping. I know if it gets unplugged it might shut down cause lack of battery recognition, but why won't it sleep when i close it?
I installed the Battery Update thingy for MacBooks and i don't think it did anything whatsoever. The AC cord works, the battery works, just not together on my laptop. I'm guessing while it was in it's permanent shut down state before i went to Apple Genius Bar, it must have drained the battery power, because i pushed the button when it didn't turn on the first time and it was fully charged with five green lights, then over the next two days i kept checking it and it slowly decreased until it is now a single flashing green light. It had two green lights when i went to the store, but after i got it "fixed" it stopped recognizing the battery.
I've had this laptop for nearly two years now, and it has survived a lot. I read many forums/threads about battery failure in other MacBooks like mine, bought around the same time as mine, but my issue is a mix of all the different problems.
For example, I have the same issues as these people did with their macbooks, but none of their solutions helped me:
"my battery logo alternates between telling me the percentage and most of the time showing an 'X' in the battery, it says no batteries recognized. it even does it with the charger connected!"
"The battery has a single, rapidly flashing, light when I press the button on it."
"But it never is able to calculate a time, and if you disconnect the power, the computer immediately shuts down."
"When I take out and reinsert the battery, it'll recognize it for a minute, flash in and out of orange, and than it will say no battery available."

Do you have AppleCare? It seems to me you need a new battery but obviously we can't tell how bad the battery is unless you get that battery info while it is recognized.
Try another SMC/PRAM reset and get that info. Call AppleCare about your issue if the Apple Store won't give you a new battery. (Depends how many cycles you have).
