Some would say it is an Otterbox, others would say it is a case which does not add too much bulk, others would say it is a case which extends battery life of your device, my daughter says the best case is the one she thinks is the most attractive(and minimizes bulk) and jorgeo_vzw has given his opinion which differs from at least a few of these options.
My best suggestion would be to determine what your usage habits are and choose according to those habits. The best case will not be the same case for everyone. -

Yes, Magnets are very bad for hardisks, one way to make it unrecognisable by any PC or Mac. The Magnet will slow down the platter speed, while the head is accessing it, and causing a crash. It is irrecoverable.

I tried to update my ipad air from IOS 7.0.4 to 7.1 on iTunes. I clicked download and update, it started to download normally but when download finished iTunes shows error that "The software for the iphone was corrupted during download".
How can I fix this error ?I had the same problem. In the end I downloaded it manually. Here's the steps assuming you are on a Mac and have an iPad Air (Wifi). If not you can find other restore links here.
In the terminal (it kept failing to download in Safari):

Once the file has downloaded, move it to ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates/
Quit and relaunch iTunes.

The iPhone 5 requires iTunes 10.7 or later and iTunes 10.7 requires OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8). If your profile is correct it looks like you need to update your OS X on you Mac. You can contact Apple and purchase the software from them.

ever since i have had an ipod i have been trying to find the best case for it.
it seems that every case on apple has some monumental flaw in it that someone points out in the reviews (ex.) bad belt clip, no screen protector, scratches too easily, etc.) so my question is which one is the best??? which one works the best... protects the best.... and doesnt scratch my ipod a lot (i realize some scratching is basically inevitable)
please i need ur adviceYes...scratching is inevitable so I opted for a versatile case with some form of screen/iPod protection. I'm trialing Belkin's Kickstand Case (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=253387) in conjunction with Power Support's crystal film cover set (http://www.powersupportusa.com/products/ipod/ip_5Gfilmset.php)
Plus: stand feature is really nice for viewing video. The user interface is functional with access to all buttons. One nice bonus is that is works really well with Griffin iTrip (the snap-strap holds it in place).
Minus: the case itself doesn't have a 'carrying feature' like others might for working out (armband, waistband) but instead comes with a caribiner clip. The crystal film set, when installed properly is invisible and will definitely protect from scratches (although the edges are exposed). One drawback to the film is that it can peel off if the edges get caught repeatedly (e.g. sliding the iPod in and out). -

Thinking of getting that dock extender for your iPhone? Read this 1st
I recently tried using the new Sendstation dock extender to allow docking of my iPhone WITHOUT having to remove the Belkin clear plastic (very hard to remove as well as put on - for disabled folks like myself especially) from the iPhone. Like many others, I also use the Apple Bluetooth headset and love the elegance of the combo phone/bluetooth dock that Apple supplies with the Bluetooth headset. Very nice. I also wanted to stick with this case as I felt it gave the most protection without obscuring the beauty of Apple's hardware design.
UNFORTUNATELY, the Sendstation dock extender (which works fine in Universal iPod docks) does not fit very well at all in either the standard iPhone dock or the iPhone/Bluetooth combo dock - yes, even with the little stand gadget they include with the different rubber bumpers to adjust for different models of iPods. In the combo dock, it's a little tenous and it seems that the pins of the connectors could bend really easily given how flimsy the seating of the phone on top of the port is.
This is a business opportunity for someone (make an extender that is better designed, basically) OR Sendstation needs to get busy and make an insert that sits IN both the standard iPhone dock as well as the Apple combo iPhone/Bluetooth dock such that the phone fits properly and all pins of the connector are well connected. Also, Apple might consider re-thinking it's dock design at least for their combo dock. Had they raised the pin connector up higher and made the cavity it sits in a bit larger front to back, there would have been room to stick in one of the adapters. Maybe someone else here has the new set of adapters available and that might help with fixing this problem. If so, please post.
If you're contemplating buying the Sendstation dock extender, be aware of this design flaw/inadequacy before you plunk down your $.
If this post is not helpful to you or you don't like it, there is no need to flame. Simply ignore and move on.It's misleading - that "disclaimer". The problem wouldn't be so bad if it just didn't "fit fully" into the dock. I mean - so big deal as long as it works and nothing is harmed. But... that's just it; the way it DOES fit - i.e., kind of a 1/2 arse fit - could possibly bend the tiny pins in the connector. THAT is a bigger problem then simply characterizing it as "...doesn't fit fully..."
Therefore, beware people thinking of buying this per my 1st post here.
