Battery Problem (It can't be a ruined battery I only bought it a month ago)
Well like the title says I just bought this iPod Nano about a month ago. First off I fully charged my iPod nano last night and hadn't used it at all the next day after until I came home and decided to put some notes onto it and realized that it started re-charging again EVEN though it was only used to put a few files onto it. So I thought fine maybe I used minimal battery power and that it was needing to be recharged so I waited about 15 Minutes and it still kept charging. Another 'could-be' related problem to this is that I've notice my iPod will recharge it's little battery bar when the backlight goes off and it's playing music. Not like fully recharge but say it's at red and near half it'll goto half green when the backlight is off.
I'm a very big skeptic on my electronics seeing as i'm not the best at keeping them in good condidtion but trust me i've treated my nano like a baby. Also other various info incase it's helpfull it's a 1GB nano and i've NEVER charged it for more then it's needed to be charged (Learned this mistake from my Palm Zire 71). Also I do charge my nano daily (Some time's a two day difference).
you don't have battery problems. i get what you're getting too. i'm sure thousands of people around the world have those same "problems." don't worry.
if you think the ipod is getting overcharged. pull it out and then plug it back in. if it's fully charged, it will have the "plugged" battery, rather than a "lightning" battery.
it's like a laptop, where if it's plugged in and you're using it, it will show that it's charging.
about the red battery going back to green. that's normal too. when the backlight is off, the ipod uses less battery, and so it show that it has more battery life with the backlight off than with it on.

its not related to any hardware because last year april i got replacement new phone from apple and i maintained it well...!Probably apps running in the background are causing this, sometimes Mail get's stuck connecting to the mail server, or some social media app like Facebook can also be a reason for prolonged background activity.
Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

Thanksi have that same issue, i recently had my ipod sent off to apple and they sent me a refurbished ipod, all was great till i discovered that my home button was not very responsive like it should be. netbook are usually for laptops that are smaller than 15"
For gaming make sure it has a DIRECT VIDEO MEMORY OF 2GB.
RAM 4GB at least.
Processor intel core 2 duo; intel 2 core quad; or any of the intel ix series such as i3 i5 or i7 the newest intel processor

It's a shame that it took a post on a discussion board to get this resolved, when going through the correct channels failed, but everything is working now, so that's the main thing.

Please help me to resolve a problem with my iPod touch. It has horizontal line at the bottom of the screen and screen starts blinking after 3 minutes of use. It's so frustrating as I bought just 4 months ago and didn't even think tha apple products have such defects.
All electical producs have defects. Apple products are not immune.
To rule out a software problem try:
- A reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
- If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. If the iPod is defective you will walk out with a replacment. -
Safari has stopped opening certain webpages and says can't connect to server... This started 3 months ago with FB and now randomly with another site... all other sites are fine.. Help?
I've tried resetting safari, deleting all webpage data and setting time/date to automatic, but no such luck.
The message that comes up is: "Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server 'Facebook' "

Might be a cookies, cache, or extensions issue.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that doesn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall. -

Just curious, is this restarting constantly, or only when you do a certain item ( such as updating )
Are you able to boot your device into safe mode?
Ensure your device's screen is on, then press & hold the Power button.
Touch & hold the Power off option in the dialog box.
Touch OK in the following dialog to start safe mode.
Does the problem persist while in safe mode?
A good piece of advice though is that there are some 3rd party apps that really mess up the nexus operating system so just a FYI.
If this only restarts while the wifi is in 5ghz that is a well known issue as well.

Is there a way I can buy Ipad 1, even though Ipad 2 was released several months ago?
I would like to purchase Ipad but I would not like to buy a Ipad 2 because of it's price. Is there a way to still purchase an Ipad 1, even though the new one was released several months ago? I don't mind if it's been used before but I would rather not use sites like Kijiji.com because you never know weather you're buying something that's stolen. If it is an international warranty you can get service at your local lenovo distributor. My t61 for example has a 3 year warranty that is valid in Turkey,. But also I have 1 year international, 2 years pan-Europeand and 3 year Turkish warranty. That was one ofthe stipulations in the contract when our thinkpads were purchased....

My new cinema display fro mac pro just went dark. When I 1st bought it, the display wouldn't turn on.I called support and they gave me a keyboard shortcut - something like Option+R+L - that you held down for 2 restart cycles. Then it magically turned on. I can't remember the sequence and I'm afraid to guess! I'd appreciate if anyone knows the trick. I'm also wondering if I should bring this display back...

1. shut down computer
2. restart
3. immediately hold down Command-Option-P-R keys simultaneously for a few minutes (seems forever)
4. keep holding keys for 2 startup cycles
5. release and go back to work if you're lucky to have a restored screen -

How can I find the name of a file I downloaded four months ago?
I downloaded a file on either February 15th or 16th. Embarrassingly, I've lost the file, simply by forgetting its name. I need to be able to search my download history, by date. Does anyone know of a way to do this? I know that the history is kept that long, and that I haven't erased the history. Finding the date that I visited the website was easy using history and an approximate date, but download history is less intuitive.
And, no, revisiting the website doesn't help; the only way to find the name of the file there (it's an ebook) is to buy it again, which is NOT what I wish to do.
This was in Windows 7 Home Premium Edition, with FireFox v. 28.0 (yes, I know it's outdated; I haven't been using that computer much lately). I don't know what version of FireFox was installed at the time of the download -- whatever was most current at the time, as I usually make a practice of installing updates.The downloads folder in the history manager? I'm not sure what you mean.
When I click on History, I see what I've put in the screenshot. Then it starts telling me where I've been today. Nothing about downloads, per se. I've been getting at those through Tools/Downloads.
I have FireFox set up to ask me where downloads should go, rather than automatically sending them to my Downloads folder in Windows, and even if it had automatically saved to Downloads, it wouldn't still be there now.
In a pinch, I suppose I could skip the first few in the downloads list, and then start right-clicking on individual downloads and selecting Go To Download Page, but I was hoping there might be some way to narrow it down, by getting at the date on downloads. That's fairly easy in History, but I don't see any way to do it in Tools/Downloads.
