I can not believe that Apple did not test this for major bugs like this one is.
I am a business user and can not effort to have bad reception. Apple wants to gain in the business clients... I never had this with my former BlackBerrys!
I need a reliable phone not a play thing like this is right now, it just needs it to work propely. And if a major bug like this comes along, fix it immediately. I have the same issue after iOS 4.2.1 update. I am using iPhone 3GS officially unlocked by Apple. I tried using different SIM cards and both carriers show same problem when using phone in 3G mode. Phone falls back to EDGE mode showing 'E' from '3G' at start. I have reset the phone and rebooted several times and moved to different cell areas in the city just to verify the problem.
I had no such issues earlier. I also have Nokia E71 which shows full signal and has no such issues.
I have posted the bug on apple iphone feedback page. I hope they Apple will fix the problem and test the release properly on all models before releasing to public.

Battery problems with iPhone 4 after iOS 6.1

I've updated to iOS 6.1, and I've been experiencing some really annoying battery problems since I updated. I tried doing the good old iPhone reset, but it still wont charge up to 100%. It stops charging when it reaches 52-56 % battery.
Is there any way of fixing this???

I have a iPhone 4 running the latest iOS (4.3.3). I have been having problems with the battery being really really bad. For example i have left it on sand-by for a couple of hours about 2-3 and the battery is about 40% or less from fully charged. (is is without using it) I have tried many things to fix it like; a hard reset, restoring it; turning off things like push, locations and notifications. Any help? Any other people with the same problem? Any suggestions what todo? If nothing else works im going to the apple store on Tuesday to see if they suggest anything! Please help!!!!!!!!!

I have my iphone since two weeks, I had a very good quality in battery life (acctually I was suprpised about it), Since yesterday I did upgrade my operative system to version 4.3.3, and now I have a very poor quality in battery life (same problem that you had)... I tryed all tips fromhttp://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html but useless so far, in addition to this I found that even when I`m charging the iPhone it takes less time to charge than before... I`m really disapointed I liked so much iPhone 4 but this thing makes me feel really bad about it.
please help me out with this issue... this this battery life iPhome is just another phone in the market.

IOS 8 battery problem with iphone 4s

I installed IOS 8 over the weekend on my iphone 4S. My phone is completely dead because of the battery drain to fast. for example it was 100% fully charged, left alone for 20 min later (without using it), the power went down to 72% . or went to bed power at 85%, the phone went dead next morning. another occasion: left the house at 65% power, it went dead after 2 hrs WITHOUT A SINGLE USE. I went to the Setting so many times to see anything that unusual, I turned of: Background App Refresh, Turned off Location Services (each App too), etc.. I done everything I can, still the battery draining too fast. Apple what have you done, this is causing so much grief !!!! I need help !!!! another problem, when I am in an App ( i.e. CNN) to see the news with video. I see the video, but no VOLUME. looks like the volume button is disabled nothing there.

This sounds as if an app keeps running in the background although you don't use it or allowed it to use it in the background.
Did you already check Battery usage to see which app you didn't use much (or not at all) causes a major use in battery. See also this article and this one on iMore.
I've seen others who had background process off for e.g. Google Hangout and Skype but still had major battery usage since iOS8.
Please look also into the apps who are allowed to use 'Background refresh' and 'Push Notifications'.
I've had similar issues with another Dutch app called Scoupy after 6>iOS7 upgrade. I deleted the app and it resolved the battery drain. The app released an update (months later) which resolved the drain finally. It was however very hard in the previous versions to find out the app which caused the drain. In iOS8 that is much easier now.

It's not Siri that is talking, it is one of the accessibility features. If you can't go to Settings to change the accessibility settings you will have to restore the phone from Recovery mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

This is most often due to faulty battery. Apple Genius can perform a quick several minute battery diagnostic test. Make Genius Reservation.

There was a battery problem on Iphone 4s so i was worried to buy it, but once I heard that Apple published new ios 5.0.1, I went down to the Apple store near to my house, and I bought Iphone 4S. Reset, will reset the battery meter is this is the problem. To Reset, hold both the Home and Power buttons until the iPhone restarts itself, ignore the "slide to power off", let the iPhone restart itself. Usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. If not better, try tap Settings App > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. The set up your iPhone again. If not better, you may need to Restore the iPhone Firmware, I would perform this with iTunes on your computer.

Same problem here with and I've done everything shy of a total reset which I also find unacceptable. This problem exists on all iMessage platforms (iPhone, iPad, and Mac) so I don't see how restoring my iPhone would help the problem.

The iPhone is in Recovery Mode, generally the iPhone will have to be restored to get it out of recovery mode.
