Battery Recall / New Battery is horrible!!!

I signed up for the battery recall for the MacBook Pro 15" and received the replacement battery the next day. The old battery would give me a charge for about 2.5 - 3 hours. On a full charge the new battery only gives me about 1:17 average. What can I do about this?
The only difference is that I upped the RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB.

Interesting to read so many mentions of problems with battery serial numbers.
According to Apple my fairly new MBP is entitled to a new battery as the Bat serial number ends with 75B.
When I fill in the on-line form I am told that my battery serial number is either in error or does not need replacement.
Does this mean that some batteries ending in 75B (and the others mentioned by Apple) do not need replacing.
My MPB has a battery life of only about 2 hours - which is about the same as my Xp laptop I have cursed for so long.
My former ivory iBook had a useful battery life of over 5 hours so what we now gain in speed and hype we lose in lap time.
Anyone else had similar probs?

Phone is a week old and battery is horrible already!

Please help, my phone is brand new and the battery is horrible. I have brightness down all the way, notifications off. I turn wifi off when I don't use it. I know about all that stuff. The battery still drains. I charge it at night take it with me, never use it until about 10 in the morning, and the battery is already down to 70 percent. It's a joke. I knew they didn't have great battery, but this is ridiculous! I don't have location on either and it's not too full, although that shouldn't cause problems. I don't know what else to do. I'm hoping it's an issue with a software update. I really don't want to take it back to AT&T this soon after buying it.

Please make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service.

Downgrading is not supported.
Here are some basic troubloeshooting tips:
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.
- Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
- Test the issue after each step. If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.
If you want to contact Apple directly, call 1-800-MYAPPLE (1-800-692-7753), or go to getsupport.apple.com.
Don't waste your time asking for a downgrade of the iOS. That's not an option.

6 year-old battery makes horrible sounds, the charging light doesn't appear anymore

My battery (and my laptop HP Pavillion zt3019ea) are 6 years old and for few weeks now my battery has made horrible sounds (like a loud mosquito) when connected to the charger. When it's not connected to the charger the sounds stop but it looks like the battery hasn't been charged at all.
The charging light doesn't appear anymore, or very rarely.
Is it the end??!
Is it worth buying a new battery for a 6 year-old laptop (i already changed the hard drive few months ago)?

I will definately recommend buying a new battery for the unit since you still work on your notebook.
It is bettery to buy geniune spares from HP than buying third party spares as you will have a warranty on the battery purchased.
Although I am an HP Employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

I'm getting about an hour w/ half brightness.
iStat is saying my batter is at 27% life.
I've had this laptop for about a year + 2 months. Is this norma?

I personally think it depends up on the charge cycles you have done. Your battery says 33 and that doesn't seem like so much for a year.
I have 14 cycles on mine. It will be year old in November. Your average mA is higer than mine. Yours is 1149, mine is 849... Your machine is pulling more power from the battery.
I'd call up apple support and tell them whats going on.

IPod Touch 4G Battery Is Horrible!

Hi! My iPod touch has always had a decent battery (at least in the beginning), but over time, it gets shorter and shorter and shorter... every charge after. The other day, I was complaining because it lasted 1 hour on Wifi, but now, it lasted not even 10 minutes on the home screen while wifi was on. My iPod is really ******* me off, due to its absolutely usless need as long as I can't have WiFi on to use it for even half an hour, and I do everything on WiFi. Please Help! The Advertised "40 Hours of Battery on Music Playback" and "7 Hours on Video Playback" are a lie. I'll be lucky if I can get 2 hours on Video Playback. I feel as if Apple didn't include Battery Percentage on the iPod and WiFi Battery Life Listed on the Tech Specs because they knew it would either read the battery incorrectly (when I charge after it dies, it says half way full, ***?) or because they knew the battery life on WiFi would embarrass them and scare away costumers. I've wanted to go to the Apple Store and see if I can exchange, but I don't know if it qualifies for a free replacement after I read the Warranty Policy. Please Help!

My iPhone was charging and I stopped charging it. It was at 65% percent then all of a sudden it went to 16%. has this happened to anyone else? I have the iPhone 5.

Battery life horrible after 1.1.2 upgrade

Hello All-
I need some assistance here... Right after I upgraded to firmware rev 1.1.2 I noticed my battery life has reduced drastically. Out of a full charge with standby only, I'm lucky to get 3hrs. out of it (and I'm not exaggerating) . I do not have wifi turned on and have not used the phone any differently since rev. 1.1.1. I have read that Apple appears to have increased the processor speed in this latest firmware upgrade thus possibly having something to do with this issue I'm having. Does anyone know what the fix is here because it's really starting to annoy me

I haven't seen any change in the battery life of my iphone after getting 1.1.2 update. Seems nearly exactly the same. Normally 2-3 days of standby time and anywhere from 6-10 hours usage depending on what I am doing.
Also I don't know if those processor speeds are correct. I thought I saw in an article just after the iphone was released and dissected that it used a processor that ran at around 600Mhz, could be wrong though.
edit - quick google search brings up lots of hits. It appears to be an ARM processor at either 620-667Mhz, possibly made by samsung.

Is it a bad update on my phone or is the new itunes match horrible?

I have the updated itunes 10.7 and the new iOS 6 update on my iphone 4G. I can no longer download an individual song from icloud. I have to begin downloading the entire album, then I have to hurry through and stop all the songs that I don't want downloaded. There is no cloud next to the individual song. The only cloud icon is at the top and bottom of the albums. Swiping my finger does not give me any options anymore either. Also, I can no longer delete individual songs from the harddrive of my phone. The older version of itunes match allowed me to swipe my finger across the song and I had an option to delete the song. The new software does not offer me anything when I swipe now. So essentially I have to delete entire albums again. This is a horrible hassle. Is this problem just with me or is it the software update?
As a side bar, the new iOS 6 update did not install youtube on my phone. I had to go to the app store to add the icon but I'm not necessarily concerned with a change like that unless its indicative of a larger installation problem.

As of iOS 6 Apple no longer provides a built-in YouTube app. The official app is now the once availale from the App Store, which you've already downloaded.

In iOS 6 Apple made major changes to iTunes Match functionality. You are not the only one to notice.

I lost all my bookmarks downgrading to the previous firefox because the new one is horrible

I downloaded the new firefox today but it sucked! All my plugins didnt work, and it just kept pissing me off. I had to keep updating stuff like adobe for youtube.
What I did was I kept the old firefox on my mac and put the new firefox in a different folder. I uninstalled the new firefox after finding out how horrible it is, all my bookmarks got deleted in the old firefox too! All my settings and plugins too!
I looked in the application data folder, then went to firefox and bookmarks.html. and the other one in there. but still nothing! Both files wiped dry!
I liked firefox before but this is a huge downfall. Im ready to leave firefox if I dont get my bookmarks back!

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

New iMac 07 horrible video issues in Magic Garageband

I have a 2.0GHz iMac (Mid 2007) with the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT 128MB graphics, when I click on magic garageband the video has interlaced lines and the colors are horribly distorted. When I click on "audition" then "change genre" it quickly adjusted back to normal than quickly went to its interlaced look. I am going to try to reinstall GB from my DVD. I am also having unrelated video issues in Doom 3 even after the universal updater patch, the video resolution is terrible and I am getting artifacts all over the screen as I play.

Unfortunately, the pictures are no longer available. But I think our brand new iMac 07 has the same issues. It started with corrupted graphics when opening or closing the curtain in Garage Band. But it's getting worse, just have a look at my screenshots:

How do I get the last version of iTunes back? The new update is horrible

I have not been on iTunes in a while and had an update when I got back on. I went ahead and updated iTunes and have since then regretted doing so. Do I really have to delete everything on my iPod just to add a few songs? And I still buy CD's and import them into iTunes. When I look for the artist, I see alot of "Tech N9ne ft..." "Tech N9ne ft....." Tech N9ne ft..." Seriously??? I have to go through each folder just to see what song is in it and see if I want to add it. This new version of iTunes is really making me way more angry then it should. I want the old iTunes back. It was way more user friendly and easier to use for me.

FInally I got the new and upgraded 'cc-desktop' tool running. I took the plunge and started 1
download (LightRoom 5). I don't know how long it took, but percentage numbers moved so slow
It must have been a long long time.
Just 2 minutes before I started this message I clicked to install the new and 'improved' PS. Just as
I get back from getting a cup of coffee to my work station and read to send this I see it has been 3%
downloaded Egad... I hope I don't need PS for an hour or two.
Anyone else seeing major sloth? Could it just be that Adobe's servers are overwhelmed... is that change
new enough for that to be the case?... or do you suppose Adobe servers are running on (really showing my age here)
