Battery stuck at 39%

I have had my charger plugged in for several days now and my battery status is 39%. If I remove the power cord the laptop dies. If the laptop is off it will still be 39% when I turn it on. I wasn't using the laptop for about 2.5 months, before I had no issues with the battery.

Laptop batteries last from 18 months to about three years. When is the last time you replaced it?

iPhone 4s battery stuck at 100 percent. How do I get it back to normal?
Ever since the update, I am having issues with the battery. Phone shuts down while it still shows 100 percent battery life. Normally not a big deal because I don't use it all the time but lately an issue when I'm working in Manhattan and it shuts down while in the middle of conversation or emailing.
I can't go around charging it every hour wondering what my battery life really is.
    Please help!

My phone now is not working at all. It only works for a few minutes while it is plugged into the wall and then it shuts down and pops right back up showing it has 75% battery. It has been doing this since yesteday afternoon.
I tried the reset and it is still acting up. Dreading having to take this to the Apple store since it is past the initial 90 days and I will probably get charged for it. :( Dont want to shell out money for a new one since I just got this one in October.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Wireless/Bluetooth Keyboard - last battery stuck inside

I now have 3 of these keyboards ... the
    small wireless bluetooth keyboards that
unscrew on the end and take 3 AA batteries
...  and now two of them have the last
battery stuck in the end of the unit,
either stuck, frozen, rusted, corroded and
there seems to be absolutely no way to
convince the little bugger to exit.
I even went so far as to squirt WD-40
inside around the stuck battery, let it
soak in and try to decellerate it out the
opening by slamming it against a doubled
    over mousepad. No luck.
Since I have a 66% failure rate on these
things, I would guess that some other
people might be having this problem as
well and may even have thought up a
    solution to it.  Anyone ???

I JUST got my batter out!  Wd-40 did the trick for me.  I had to spray it a few times--the last one being quite heavy, as I figured it was my last shot before giving up and just tossing it.  Lo and behold, with just about 10 hard bangs, I noticed it started getting closer to the opening (very slight).  Before long, it was totally out.  Now, I'm using a hair dryer to dry it out.  Looks like the bottom came loose a little--will reply if the keyboard still works!  Debating whether or not to try new batteries so soon or let it sit for a few days.  The anticipation will probably kill me...

  • Battery stuck at 0%, looking for course of action

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on these forums so if I miss anything, I apologize in advance.
I'm currently working on a 17" MBP, version 4.1 (2.6Ghz & 4Gb ram). About 5 days ago, I was working on it with no problems whatsoever (really love this machine). I went on a small business trip for several days, and today is my first day back working on this machine. The battery is currently stuck at 0% and is not charging.
So far, here are the actions I've taken, after reading what others have said on the forums and from simply google'ing around.
I have tried the obvious, powering off, removing the batter/adapter, replacing the battery, then letting the computer sit with the adapter in it powered off for 20 minutes. turning it on revealed the same problem.
I then attempted an SMC reset and a PRAM reset as defined by other help files.
I do not have a digital multimeter available to me at the moment, so I cannot test the output of the adapter, although I have tried it in multiple outlets.

Are you using a BB original charger? If not you need to. I've tried other non-BB and they won't charge the PB for some reason. The one from the box can take up to 10 hours or more. Is the little lightning bolt indicator on the battery indicator? I assume you plugged the charger in the middle plug on the BB. Try the charger on a phone to make sure it's not dead.

  • Battery stuck on 13%!

Hi everyone, my battery is only 2 months old, and as of yesterday, is stuck on 13%. I was using it unplugged, plugged it in at 11%, and it has charged to 13% and stayed there. I haven't tried unplugging it again because I don't want to lose what power I do have, but it's very strange. Any ideas? It should be covered by warranty, but I thought there might be a known problem related to this.
    Thanks.
    Jared

Reset the SMC (System Management Controller) and re-calibrate the Battery, if it still shows the same afterwards contact Apple about a free replacement.

  • Lenovo G450 battery stucks at 0% and it sshows plugged in,charging

three months back I bought a new battery for my lenovo G450 laptop.Initially it was working well and now it's not get charged Stucks @0%,,,,,plz suggest me a solution for this

    hi paranthaman,
You mentioned that you purchased a new battery for the G450 system. To replace this battery, you will need to contact the person or the store that sold you this battery (eg. If you purchased it from Amazon.com, you will need to contact Amazon) as the battery can only be replaced from the place of purchase.

  • Restoring iPad with dead battery - stuck in itunes logo

How to charge iPad 4 if not booting only itunes logo and need to be charged to complete restore process??
tried to charge it from laptop in itunes also tried the wall charger but nothing, it stuck at itunes logo and not
charging until it gives a red battery logo and start over again.
also when trying to restore it gives me iPad cannot be restored Unknown error code 14 that because it's
not charged and disconnected during restore process.
    any Solution??!!
And why don't you "Manufactures" make it completely charge only if powered off and not boot when its 5% and complete charging after booting.

    (A) Charge the battery
    (B) Force iPad into Recovery mode.
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note:
    1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
    2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

  • IPhone battery stuck at 100%

My iPhone battery was at 60 %, when I plugged it in today. It went straight from 70 % to 100 % and is stuck there now, no matter what...

First step: Reboot the phone. Hold both buttons until an Apple logo appears.
This probably will not fix it, so you should recalibrate the battery gauge. Use the phone until it shuts off because the battery is completely drained (actually, it will shut off before that to protect the battery). The charge for 4 hours.

  • Battery stuck at 100%

Hi, I'm not sure if this happened after the update, but I suddenly noticed that my ipod and ipad are stuck at 100% no matter what. I tried resetting, restoring, restarting several times without success. I'm currently using the latest iOS and latest itunes (10.6.3). At first I was worried that it might be a hardware problem, but now Im thinking it might be a software one. Anyone else experiencing this issue too and can provide me with solutions? Thanks

I'd start by letting it run down until it won't open anymore (and perhaps the red battery will show on the screen) and then recharge it for at least two hours.  See what happens then.

  • Battery stuck at 100 then shuts off at 20-30%

Have had an iPhone 4 since Verizon launch...the phone will be stuck at 100 percent forever...when the percentage finally starts going down the phone will start shutting off at 20 percent then a few days later it will last longer at 100 and shut off at 30...have already had my first phone replaced by apple and now the second phone is having the same issues...wife has an iPhone 4 as well and has no battery issues.
If I restart the phone it will be good for maybe a week and then the issue picks up again...any ideas?

    Steps:
1 Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart itself. This will reset the battery meter. Make sure you get a Reset and not just a restart. Use the iPhone. If still irregular.....
2 Restore Firmware with iTunes, at end when asked Set Up iPhone as New, not from backup. Use iPhone. If still irregular....
3 All Verizon iPhones still have Warranty. Make appointment with Genius, take iPhone to Apple for resolution of this problem.

  • Ideapad U510 Battery Stuck at 94%

    Hi,
I bought a brand new Lenovo Ideapad U510 just yesterday, but when I charge it, it does not charge past 94%. The status remains at 94% plugged in and charging, but it doesn't actually change even after an hour or two.
I have tried unplugging to 10% and then recharging but again it got stuck at 94%. And yes I have checked the energy mangement and it is on Maximum Battery Life.
Should I drain the battery completely and then try recharging?
Is there a way to fix it to charge all the way to 100% or is it a problem with the computer itself? Thank you.

Drain the battery first and then try again. Probably this is also maybe happening to prevent battery detoriation. So this can be normal.

  • IPad 2 battery stuck at 60%.  Showing fully charged plug symbol.

I got an iPad 2 at the Apple store today. When I got it home I plugged it into my MBP and synced it. At this point the battery status indicator was at 75% and the fully charged symbol (electrical plug) was displayed. I tried charging it for a while and nothing changed. At this point I unplugged it to drain some of the battery off to see if this would change anything. Drained it to 60% then plugged it in again. Still nothing. Stuck at 60% with the fully charged symbol displayed. I've tried power cycling it and doing a hard reset with the home & power button. Any ideas?

Your iPad won't charge or it doesn't show it's charging in the status? I downloaded the battery doctor app like was suggested above, and it shows that it is charging. It's probably just a software thing that got messed up with the update...expect another update to fix that soon?

    *Cycle count: 620*
Normal life for a Li-based battery is 400-500 charge cycles. You do have quite a high full charge capacity (~80% health), which is surprising. But, you have an elderly battery, and readings get a bit unreliable at that point. When was the last time you calibrated it?
You might also try an SMC reset:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411
But, most likely, it's time to consider a new battery.

  • New iphone 5c battery stuck at 50%

I let my new iPhone charge all night and re-started it several times but the battery is still stuck at 50%

Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
Then test to see if it solved the problem.
    If the doesn't work:

    Hey everybody,
My Iphone 4s battery one day almost drained out, got to 0%. happened before.
I plugged it in my original charger, and since then, it is stuck. It's been over 2 months now.

    I have IOS 6.1.2
    tried hard reboot,
    battery replacement,
    battery recalibration,
    nothing worked.
    Any advice?
