  • Any solution to a white screen with a battery icon with a lightning bolt through it on the Tour?

My daughters blackberry tour suddenly stopped taking a charge and would not power on. It just shows a white screen, with a battery shaped icon & lightning bolt through it.  Went to our local cell store and they did a battery swap for us. The phone worked for about 2 hours then did the same thing. After a couple more swaps with no change, they un installed and re-installed the software. This again fixed it temporarily. When it quit again, we were sent a replacement phone. The replacement did the same thing. We were sent a 2nd replacement, but in the meantime, the first replacement started working. It worked for about a week then did the same thing. Now we have attempted to activate the 2nd replacement and it gets the same screen and will not charge enough to even activate it. I'm working with the customer support (phone is under warranty still), but so far no solution. Anyone else experience this? I find it strange that we now have a 3rd phone, doing the same thing and we have tried new batteries and an new charger.

Here are some good charging tips, please read and you'll see that many of them will apply to you.

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).
If it doesn't boot--try using a wall outlet charger if you are not. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed, which you can download below.
Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.

  • I am unable to tell when the battery is completely charged.  I have showing the battery symbol with the bolt-this is present even when the device is not being charged.  And it is always showing 2% charge.

  • Changing The Blue Lightning Bolt

For those of us who are creating content exclusively for distribution to clients and in-house staff via acrobat.com and the Content Viewer app, the Blue Lightning Bolt is a visual annoyance.
How's about an option to either NOT have it displayed, or at least have a blue stroke around the thumbnail so that our original graphic isn't disturbed?

I'm pleased to hear that Pro and Enterprise users are happy with the arrangement and that the Blue Lightning Bolt is so helpful.
It's just rather stunning that someone with the intelligence to create a document using InDesign and DPS gets confused over the addition of a little asterisk in the folio title to denote IN PROGRESS or UNPUBLISHED.
Even a little lightning bold or red A or whatever - BELOW the folio title - would have sufficed.
Seriously.  Totally lame.  Non-Pro/Enterprise account holders getting the shaft.  That's all this is, really.
I can't wait to see what else is implemented by Pro/Enterprise account holders at the expense of the rest of us...
Maybe a GIANT BLUE LIGHTNING BOLT ON EVERY PAGE IN THE FOLIO!!!!!

  • Ost 5 hours and has just a battery symbol with a little red column on the screen when I press the on/off button. I don't know why its taking so long to charge. Any suggestions?

My iPod 5th generation died and I charged it. It has been charging for almost 5 hours and just displays a battery symbol with a column of red when the on/off button is pressed. My home button also doesn't work so I cannot try to reset it that why. Any suggestions?

  • Is the Blue Lightning Bolt here to stay....?

I mean, honestly.  Is the Blue Lightning Bolt just Adobe's way of punishing those who aren't on the DPS Pro or Enterprise plan?  Can the thing get any bigger?    Does it get smaller if you buy the acrobat.com subscription plan?  lol.  It's like the digital version of The Scarlet Letter.    Why not just have the entire thumbnail be some text that says "Cheapskate".  Here's hoping that it gets removed.  I'd love to hear any explanation at all as to what the purpose is of the Blue Lightning Bolt Banner - other than to identify that the stuff I make isn't on the elite Pro/Enterprise plan.  Why have anything at all?

  • 8800, battery symbol with red line through it. Won't boot. Please help!!!

I recently bought a 8800 and when I inserted a battery, all I got was a battery symbol with a red line through it on a dim screen.  I changed batteries, tried to charge it via USB and from a wall outlet to no avail.  I tried cleaning the contacts and tried uploading t a new  OS, but it wont recognize the phone being connected when it actually is.    I am at the end of my rope with this phone and can't figure out what else to do.  Is it just gone? Please help me

And yet many of us are very happy with our touchpads!  I have two of them, both dual-booting into either ICS or webOS.  I'm running programs that make iPad owners jealous.
Only problem I've had is a crack by the speaker... Sorry the two of you have become so jaded.

  • Why are there no iPhone 6 battery cases with a lightning input port for charging instead of a micro USB?

Why are there no iPhone 6 battery cases with a lightning input port for charging instead of a micro USB?
Does it have something to do with the MFI certification? Is micro USB just cheaper?
I don't want to have to carry around another cable and it seems like this would be a good product. What am I missing?

    sanjaykd wrote:
    Valid point.
So can I ask why there are no MFI certified lightning female ports on battery cases? Or more so, does this certification even exist?
    And why not?
This is a user-to-user technical support forum. There is no one here from Apple to answer "why". Again, I would recommend contacting the manufacturers or use the Contact Us link at the bottom right of every page for information on how to contact Apple directly.
I suspect that manufacturers may view the more standard microUSB charging port as a selling point. Those types of cables are cheaper and ubiquitous.

  • Touchpad Dead - Battery symbol with Questionmark

Help!  my Touchpad 32gb will not boot!
I've let it charge for several days.  Pressing:
     Power button = nothing
Power + hold center button = Battery symbol with questionmark
Power + up vol. = nothing
(I've tried all these combinations with it plugged in and as a stand-alone with no power cord)
I've used several chargers, including multiple touchstones, and several OEM HP round wall chargers to  no avail.
I have two touchpads (1 for me , 1 for my child) and all chargers work with the other touchpad.
Any ideas on how to bring this back to life?
When it died, it had been sitting on a touchstone, but slightly off center such that I don't think it charged properly.
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

A user reported recently he was instructed to hold the power switch and then press the center button quickly about 15 times in a row.  Might give this a try.

  • Qosmio F30 starts with blue stripes during the start screen of Vista

My Qosmio F30-114 runs since years without Problems with Vista Ultimate.
Since some Days there is a huge Problem.
The Qosmio starts with blue stripes during the start screen of vista.
So I deleted the driver of the graphic card and used the standard vga card driver. the hardware assistent found a driver on the system.
For a short moment i was very lucky.
After a restart, there was a blue screen. after the next restard, again the standard vga card driver.
    What can i do?
The download section of toshiba has no drivers for graphic card.
And really ... i wonder - how does it works all the years without problems...
    Has anyone a solution?
    thanx
    toshibalover ;-)

    Hi!
First of all do you have this issue on an external monitor too or only on the internal monitor? Maybe its not a problem of the graphic card so check this with an external monitor.
I have checked the Toshiba website and there I can find some drivers for the Qosmio F30:
