Battery use iphone 4
Ok is this normal use? I have push switched off and mail set to get manually, find my iphone is on along with location services but only switched on for facebook, find my iphone app( of course) and Grindr. Everything else is off.
Last night I full charged my iphone 4 then unplugged t and left it for half hour I then started to use the grindr app and I was losing 1% every 3 mins, the app does use location services but it only checks my location every 5 to 10 mins is this normal when using such and app?

I am using Iphone 5s my battery is draining like anything. Without using any application also it seems i am using iphone 5s but in show only really i am using like previous nokia 1100 model.
Are there apps on your phone right now?
I think one of your apps is causing this.
The only way to find out is to delete them all and then add them one by one to see what app maybe causing this.
Especially if you've gone thru 3 iphones already.
When you restored as new - did you sync back your stuff - apps/music or did you restore from backup? -

i am using iphone 4s its under warranty , phone got automatically turn off even if has 50% battery and not get on until i connect to charger . if i go to service center will they change my phone ? and will i have to pay anything if its battery issue ???/
Take it in and see what the technicians say is wrong and then how they want to handle the iPhone. If the iPhone has a problem covered by the warranty then you should have no problems.

I am using iphone 3gs since last 4 days. Till yesterday night it was working fine and i have connected this phone for charging . Morning there was apple logo in the screen and every 1mte (approx) it is blinking. I could not restart the phone.Plz help . I have tried to reset even by pressing sleep and home button but it could not help. Please suggest. Still i have connected for charging .
Sounds like you have corrupt backup data, if this occurs from one phone to another. Try restoring the phone as a new device, without a backup. Try using for a day before installing any other apps, etc. See if that improves the battery life. Then try syncing back applications a couple at a time. Something seems to be locking in the processor which is draining the battery.
Do you live in an area where there are Apple Stores? If so, try making an appointment with the Genius Bar to have the device checked out. -

I have noticed a battery use issue after upgrading to iOS 4.2 My iphone and ipad battery is draining quicker than it did before the upgrade. For example, if my iphone (Model 3GS, 1.5 year old) was charged full and left idle for 24 Hrs, the charge drops just a few percent. I used to get 90-96% charge remaining after one day idle. Similarly, in ipad too, the charge will retain 85-95% if left one week idle after full charge. But after updating to iOS 4.2, the battery is draining quickly. iphone charge drops to approx 80-85% if left idle for one day and by 3rd day it drops to 20% if left idle. Similarly in ipad too the charge is dropping faster too. If kept idle for one week charge drops to some 70%. Did any one notice this? I am unhappy with this issue as it requires me to charge the devices quickly. Also the drain in charge is unreasonable as i have not used any extra feature which may use more energy.

NAre you sure? I'm using 4.2.1 and don't have any battery issues with mine.
Did you check that nothing is running in the background? Some apps like Skype can still run in background even if you exit out of the app.
Also try this:
Delete your mail account by going to Settings > Mail. Once deleted, do a hard reset, by holding the home button and the power button for 10-15 seconds until apple logo appears. Then re-set up your mail account. Sometimes the mail server can get stuck. -

That error usually means that your computer antivirus is blocking the update.
It can also mean that your phone was jailbroken, or your computer was used to jailbreak some iOS device in the past.
