Battery would not charge on Equium M70-337
I can run my laptop from mains power but the battery won't charge anymore. It's been like this for a while and i haven't really looked into it yet.... but i think i may have deleted one of the programs that charges the battery a while back... stupid, i know. I still have toshiba power saver, but seem to remember there was a second charging icon that used to come up in the bottom right corner that i may have thought i didn't need. Any ideas how to get it back? Would appreciate any help. Thanks.
Hi there,
dont worry, usually it should not depend on software if the battery charges or not. But to go the secure way, I suggest you at first to re-insert the battery.
Battery should usually charge any time, no matter if windows is loaded or not. So, if not, then you have a power-related problem.
Just try this re-inserting and if this does not help, contact a technician (if you know someone) or a authorized service partner.
It can be, that you have a serious hardware problem.

Camileo X150 - Battery will not charge
Hello all - I this week bought a Camileo X150 camcorder brand new. The camcorder only has power when connected to the AC adapter or USB cable. I tried to charge it on Friday, was away for 8 hours, came back and yet the battery had no power. Then last night I charge it overnight, still no power this morning.
I have tried everything possible yet it still does not power up only when connected to AC or USB - perhaps the battery is faulty or I am doing something wrong?
I would appreciate any help with this issue. You haven't done anything wrong… to charge the battery, you need to connect the AC Adaptor only… then the battery should start charging…
But it could be possible that the battery is deeply discharged (empty) and in such case the AC adaptor should be connected at least 24 hours…
So check it again and if the battery would not charge even if the AC adaptor would be connected for a longer period of time, get in contact with your camcorder dealer…
Maybe the battery / camcorder is faulty. -
Battery does not charge- solved
The battery would not charge on my macbook. The magsafe light was a very dim (had to cover it with my hands to see it lit up) green, but the battery was only at a 18% charge and remained there for several hours.
I reset the SMC and PRAM with no effect. I checked the power specs, and it confirmed the battery was not charging, but the battery did not need to be replaced. I was at about 240 cycles. The computer would also boot up from the battery when the adapter was disconnected. I checked to see if it was the adapter that was broken. I got the same dim light with my auto charger. So I concluded it was not the adapter.
I took it into Apple. They determined that the Board, MagSafe, DC-in (part number 922-8268, $12.50/part, $85.00/labor) needed to be replaced. I think this is the magnetic part the Magsafe adapter plugs into.
They also replaced the top case kit and lcd panel without charge ($563.13 savings).
I hope this helps anyone else with this same problem. The battery would not charge on my macbook. The magsafe light was a very dim (had to cover it with my hands to see it lit up) green, but the battery was only at a 18% charge and remained there for several hours.

Equium M50 - The battery will not charge
Hi, I need some advice regarding a charging problem on my PC.
The battery will not charge and the level indicator shows a constant 5%.
The machine is about 15months old and does not get hard usage, probably an average of 5-10 hours per week.Usually it's powered from the mains, so the battery tends to be kept topped up.
Before I go and replace the battery, is there any diagnostic I can do as a user?
Looking forward to a reply.
many thanks
SteveHi,
no, I dont think that it will makes any sense to perform some diagnosis because it sounds like a hardware related issue and I think it would be better to bring your machine to a authorized service partner for a hardware checkup or probably a exchange of the malfunctioning components.

How do I physically fit memory into Equium M70-337?
Hello,
I am in the process of buying a memory upgrade for my Equium M70-337.
However I am unsure how to actually fit it.
I have unscrewed the memory panel and stared at it not really knowing what to do.
Any advice, any links to diagrams would also be highly useful.
Thanks for any help.Hi
First of all before you install or remove a module, turn off the computer with the shut down option in the windows. The notebook shouldnt be in the standby or hibernation mode because you would lose the data.
Some memory modules can be physically installed but are not fully compatible with the notebook. In this case the machine will issue a warning like 3 short beeps.
Here a short instruction how to fin the modules;
- Turn the notebook upside down (dont forget to disconnect all cables) and remove the battery.
- Remove one screw securing the memory modules socket cover
- Slide your fingernail or a thin object under the cover and lift it off
- Fit the modules connectors into the computer connectors at about a 45degree angle and press the modules careful to ensure a firm connection.
- Push the module down so it lies flat. Latches on either side will lick into place to secure the modules.
But note; do this carefully and dont use any force!

Battery will not charge. and other issues
Well i'm working on a friend of mines notebook, its a n100 model 0768 12u running windows xp. This is the situation so far. First his hard drive had fried so i replaced that and put the o.s. back on it,but now the battery will not charge. also the wireless network card and dvd drive did not work. I had originally thought that they might have fried as well when the hard drive went down. However I looked through the forums here and found that alot of people solved the battery issue simply by replacing the battery i recommended that. He purchased a replacement battery ( not a genuine lenovo battery, don't know if that makes a difference) and when i put it in the dvd drive and the network card started working no problem. But alas the battery still would not charge. the system runs fine without a battery in it, but if i put the battery in it while its running it turns itself off after about 30 seconds of having the battery in. when the system is powered off and i put the battery in the battery lcd in front blinks 5 times orange then nothing for about 30 seconds then 5 more times. maybe thats a trouble code, don't know, looked all oover the forums and couldn't find anything quite like it. any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
SteveDuck3,
Glad that worked for you! Thanks for sharing here.
I saw a weird situation on friend's ThinkPad recently - a replacement battery arrived with a 37% charge (not 100% deliberately as somewhere around 40% is the best for shelf life), but it would not accept a charge. We did a reset by removing the battery & AC and pressing and holding the power button a number of times (some people say 10 times, some two or three times for a count of 5 or 10). This drains residual capacitance.
We plugged back in the battery and AC and it began to charge.
Might be worth a try here before he opens it up ....

Any ideas on how to fix ipad after the new iOS 7 update? My battery will not charge, my ipad is hot to the touch, the iTunes Store won't open, and my messages on Facebook aren't showing up when I chat and pintrest won't pin to my boards.
If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go -
Its been one month, my iphone 4's display is completely blackout and even its battery is not charging. I tried to restart my iPhone by pressing home and on/off button but it is also not worked. Now I'm in Nepal and here not even a single apple service center. What to do? Please help me.
You clearly did not notice that you have joined a USER TO USER COMMUNITY FORUM
This is NOT Apple ,Apple do not read nor do they therefore respond
So if you would like to wind your neck in ........................
try a reset of iPhone and then a restore, best, as new and if it then functions correctly try restoring with your backup -

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that it can be concerning when your battery is not functioning as you would expect. There are several steps that I would recommend in this situation to troubleshoot. Troubleshooting the MagSafe adaptor and possibly resetting the SMC would be two of these steps. Please read over the attached article for instructions and more information on troubleshooting batteries.

MBA battery does not charge when connected. Help!
My MBA battery does not charge when connected to the charger. Ive checked the other threads and followed advice but nothing seems to help.. My battery health info is good, I've tried cleaning the magnetic pins of the charger, reset smc but it still does not charge. The light on the charger is green or does not come on sometimes, and it's the same for a few Power outlets. What else can I do? Would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks.
It recognizes the charger intermittently. After cleaning, it showed the charger as connected but not charging the battery. I will try my friends charger later to see if it works. Thanks for your help!

Genuine Lenovo Replacement Battery Does Not Charge
After reading the number of people on this forum who experienced the same problem I faced (my T61p 9 cell battery went from fine to dead overnight), I took the advice of the contributors and purchased a new, genuine Lenovo replacement battery from a seller on e-bay. I compared the new battery to my original battery and here's the test results for each of the 2 batteries;

After charging the replacement battery overnight, the battery gauge never went above showing 24% charged. I unplugged the AC adapter and it went from 24% to its current level of 5% in about 15 minutes. After plugging the AC adapter back into the computer, the battery will not charge.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
AndyIt is hard to be sure without seeing it, but best guess is that the battery charging circuitry on the motherboard has died. If you still have remaing warranty, now is the time to use it.

The PC does operate on the battery only, just fine (so far, as there is only 18% remaining).
The PC operates with AC plugged in also.
LED by AC input is amber (looks orange to me).
According to the User Guide that indicates charging.
Battery Check status is "OK"
I have had it on charge for over 12 hours and still at 18%.
When starting up, the battery icon shows charging movement then stops at a low level.
I measured the charger output at 20VDC (no load). Which is as specified.
I have tried all the suggestions about uninstalling and reinstalling the ACPI Complient Control Method.......etc.
Removing battery, shutting down and all the rest of suggestions.
No help.
I was told there was a BIOS update which I installed. (I'll post about that in another board). No help.
If I ever get this fixed it's going back to the vendor, Should not have this happen with less than 3 months since new.
Just got it back from repair for battery latch falling off. (Back plate was changed.)
Anything new would be appreciated.Hi @xdellman,
Thank you for your query and realize how frustrating this is.
I gathered from your post you have tried most of the troubleshooting steps to no avail.
If you check the adapter do you notice any damaged or bent pins as this can cause charging issues?

I download iOS 8.2 now my phone would not charge what do I do to get back to iOS 8 .0 . I have an iPhone 5s and it is hot now .
I had the same problem with my iPad and my Phone. Reset the phone ( Hold down the button on the front while holding the power button until it turns off) Plug in the charge lead and it will come back on charging. (Worked for me) The only way to see it is charging seems to be to look at the battery percentage after a while.

I went to charge my ipod touch lastnight and it would not charge. There was nothing on the screen no life in it. Well today i plugged into my laptop and itunes came up saying it is in recovery mode. Im trying to restore it but nothings happening on my ipod got the apple sign on the screen and the bar going across but its emtyand theres nothing loading, itunes also says waiting for ipod. Someone please help cant live without my ipod,
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
