You need to call your carrier and ask them for this additional tariff on the account.

  • PIN TO PIN Messager over BB Messenger - ENCRYPT

I read this forum before post because i have not fully cleared idea
Basically i want to sent PIN to PIN messages between me and one or two contacts (using BIS), and i want to FORCE encrypt those messages (not scramble) really encrypt and i have no money to install a BES server for 2 / 3 people, so my question is how to do that.
I was reading forums and google and the most reliable solutions (after BES) that i saw was: from this company http://www.atomichelix.com/downloads.html#bbpgp , question is anyone tested? Can it really work? Somebody knows a alternative solution?
Thanks in advance for all help!

    Hey H007C,
Have you looked into the BES Express option ?

  • Cannot reply to PIN messages (8830)

A few users have contacted me regarding an issue with their Verizon 8830 phones and PIN messaging. Here's the basic scenario:
User A receives a PIN message from User B while his phone is locked (Content Protection is enabled).
User A unlocks his phone, reads the PIN message from User B and hits 'reply'. User A types his response and hits send, but immediately receives a red X.
User A opens the failed response and notices that the To: address is User B's email address, not his PIN address.
User A opens his contacts and scrolls to User B, but there is no contact information listed, though the contact information has been there in the past
After about 5-10 minutes, User A goes back into contact, and all of User B information is back. He can now reply to User B's original PIN message without issue, but cannot resend his first PIN message (the reply that failed)
That about sums up what is going on. We have multiple types of Blackberries here, from various carriers, but it only seems to be an issue with the 8830. Anyone else see this type of behavior?

If by PIN message you mean the BB messenger app, then, yes, I've had problems with it. Not the same one you have described, but basically, not receiving messages sent.

  • PIN Messages

I just recently noticed that my PIN messages are not being shown as "Received" when I know they have been (I've gotten replies to the messages, or it's been brought up in conversation later).  It works in BB messenger, just not when sending PIN messages.

PIN messages reside on your BlackBerry phone.  If you delete them from there, they're gone forever because that's the only place to find them.
I hope that clears it up for you.

  • Can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent show as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either (PIN Message Status : Service Blocked)

I recenly changed device from BB Curve 8530 to BB Bold 9900 and ever since then can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows only as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either. Tried sending PIN messages  but  I got a red x next to the message and the status says: "Service Blocked" .
When my phone got lost, I was lucky that I just synchronized my device to my BB Desktop. Not only was I able to retrieve my contacts (phonebooks and BBM) but also ALL txt msgs and even call logs
Anway, that happening, I assumed I don't need to re-send all my BBM friends invites since some were able to communicate with me. But for those who have deleted my profile (knowing it got lost) and were still on my contact were the ones affected. I tried deleting them and sent an invite only to find out that: I can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving any. (they also have the same pending for authorization notice on their end)
When I tried to send them a PIN message I get a red x next to the message nd get the service blocked message.
Help I do not know what else to do.
** FYI: new contacts added with my new PIN have no prob sending invites and me accepting them all.

    Hello Lhea,
This issue is most likely Caused by the BlackBerry not being provisioned for BlackBerry Data Services.
Please have a look at the following article that covers "Service Blocked" when sending a PIN message:

    I hope this helps.

  • Send encrypted emails and PIN messages

I'm using BIS. Is there an easy way to send encrypted emails or PIN messages? I found an app on GetJar called bbCrypt (http://bit.ly/qIM7zG) that encrypts/decrypts strings using 3DES, and I know there is an S/MIME package available for BlackBerry, but I'm not sure how to use it.
    Can someone please help me?

  • PIN messages Gone?

Have the "old" PIN messages, where you were able to create a subject line, been replaced by BBM chats (which are not the same thing)?
If not - how do you create one?
    Thanks, Kevin
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The z10 does not want to be the 'primary' anything. It is simply another email client.
Are you using MS ActiveSync or IMAP?
Using either MS ActiveSync or IMAP on all of your email clients will allow you to gain the synchronization that you want. They merely reflect what is residing on the server on all of the email clients, so that a change made on one is made on the others.
I use Outlook in the same manner and have rules to move things to folders, some are pulled from the server and stored locally in a PST file (things that I know I never need to read on a mobile device), others are foldered on the IMAP email server. All of these changes are simply reflected on the z10 (with P-IMAP usually moments after they are moved.) It works really well, in fact the only issue that I have is that I cannot unify the email folders within Outlook the same way that the BlackBerry Hub does for me, because of this I actually find myself doing more and more of my email reading and responding from the ZED than I do in Outlook (I also get frustrated daily with my full-size keyboard because it does not add a period when I hit space twice!)
It is a new workflow but the "delete on phone" can simply be replace by the "file messages" option on the z10. if you don't want the messages to show up in Hub turn off "Show Filed Messages" in the hub settings and file the messages into a folder called something like "Moved from mobile", it is a bit of a new workflow.. but once figured out it will start to save you time by not having to do all of that work again in Outlook.
BlackBerry has stated that they are going to revisit the "Delete on Phone" option, as it should not be doing the "hard deletes" that it is currently doing. I am not sure when this change will happen, but I personally hope that they simply change it so that when I delete an item on the Z10 it goes into the "trash" folder (or maybe another folder of the users chosing) on the server so that I can purge it or recover it as I desire at a later time... but only time will tell how that will all end up working.
The bottom line is that with the properly working server and a slightly new workflow you will be able to achieve exactly what you are trying to do. If you have any questions on the setup, feel free to ask.. it took me a bit of time to get mine setup correctly as well, but I am loving the way it works now.
Your other issues are all on the improvement list, PIN-PIN has been reported to be in the 10.1 upgrade, and 2-way sync via USB is currently being worked on (no ETA though) and there are other options available to get this sync working OTA currently.
Bottom line is that you need to be comfortable with your phone, so if you are going back to the 9810 until these show up or are changed.. then that's a good choice for you. But I really think that if you give the IMAP (or ActiveSync) solution a try then you will be happy with the way it works.

  • Unable to send PIN Messages

I am unable to send PIN messages, once upon a time they worked for about two days, and no longer do.  I am able to recieve PINs.
    Steps take to resolve this:
    Registered w/ AT&T BIS.
Resent Peer to Peer encryption key via Blackberry Enterprise Manager (other users are able to send/recieve PIN's just fine)
    Resent Service Books (*shrug*)
Stil no dice.  Thoughts and suggestions appreciated.
    Thanks.

Try removing your battery. Replace after 30 seconds - allowing your phone to reboot.

  • Can I get blocked PIN messages resent to my blackberry?

I had accidentally hit the "block" PIN messages radial button under the firewall and kepted some PINS from coming to my blackberry. I have since taken care of this, but would like to get these messages resent. Anyway to do that on my end, or do I need to contact customer support at Blackberry?

  • Cost of Blackberry PIN messages?

Hi there, hope someone can help!
The company I work for has Blackberrys for all staff and we have started communicating via the PIN messaging service but we're unsure of whether this incurs a cost or not?
We've contacted our service provider who say they've never even heard of the service! (useful, eh?) They suggested we contacted Blackberry, as it's possible that Blackberry charge our service provider and that cost is then passed on to us. I've had a look on the website but can't see anything.
Can anyone help, and advise whether there's likely to be a charge?
    Thanks!

PIN messages are charged the same as other data things, like email or web browsing. They are not like SMS messages where your carrier will change you a per-message charge. If you have unlimited data then you unlimited PIN messaging. If you do not have unlimited data, PIN messaging just counts toward your data limit (or possibly overage charge if you go over your limit).

  • SMS/PIN message

I sent someone an SMS message yesterday and it's showing in my box marked with the symbol for "PIN Message delivered", the D and a check mark. I don't have this person's PIN number, why would the message be marked like this? I just got my Tour yesterday so haven't figured everything out just yet.
    thanks!
