BB 8220: App World can't download and Facebook App stopped working!
Good day!
I have a BB Pearl Flip running on OS4.6.0.155 and everything seems to be working just fine: the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even my apps but suddenly, while I'm surfing the net using my BB (via Wi-Fi), my FB app stopped responding and I thought there was just a limited connection but since then I can't access my FB app anymore wherever hotspot I go. It's just stuck on the loading page but I have my Twitter app working though. And in another event, I am trying to download the BlackBerry App World in my BB but it failed because of some error. I also tried downloading the FB app v. 1.9 (since I have a v. 1.7 only) but also failed. What seems to be causing these problems? And why can't I download BB App World (as well as any BB apps) anymore whereas I've downloaded my Twitter app before and it worked successfully?
It's bad enough that I can't upgrade my OS to version 5 but do I have to suffer being denied of access to my FB app and other downloadable apps on the BB site?
Help me please.

I can definitely help you. What error did you receive when trying to update Facebook for BlackBerry®? Also try the update by going to www.blackberry.com/facebook and try to download App World™ from www.blackberry.com/appworld.

For the Can't connect to the iTunes Store Message .....
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead a year or two. You will probably get some sort of error message telling you to correct the date so that you can connect to the server. Go back to the setting and set the date and time to Automatically on again.
See if you can can connect to the iTunes store.
For the "waiting" icons .....
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem. -
i have an ipod touch second gen, how can i download the facebook app if it says its not compatable with my current iOS?
i had the facebook app but i could never upgrade it and i was ok with using the outdated version but when i reset the ipod so i could gift it to a friend it obviously got rid of the app and now i cant downloaded because it says its not compatable, how can i download the version i had before i reset it?Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

I had purchased LOG TEN PRO UNIVERSAL, from the app store and had it installed on the iPad 2 , it worked great . Now I have purchased an iPhone 5 and I want to install the LTP UNIVERSAL INTO THE IPHONE but , in the app store It seems that I have to repurchase the app for some reason,this shouldn't be the case since the app clearly can be installed on an iPad n phone together , I don't know what to do about it . You should be able to re-download LogTen Pro from the Purchases section of the App Store. To find this, open the App Store on your iPhone, and tap the Updates section. At the top of the Updates screen there will be a "Purchases" section, and tap this to enter it. Make sure that you are logged in with the same Apple ID that you originally used to purchase LogTen Pro, and it will display a "download/cloud" button. Tap it, confirm your password, and it will download again.
This "Purchases" section has been known to be a bit buggy -- try logging out and back into the App Store on your iPhone if you don't see it.
The App Store handles all sales and customer information, so your proof of purchase should have been sent by them. It is usually emailed to you from "iTunes Store" with a title: "Your receipt No. ##########".

Can't download and update app's via app store
Hello. When i try to download or update app's from app store on my mac, there is a message box with the following text-" We could not complete your request.There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"
any idea?try booting to safe mode (restart while holding down the shift key) and once booted there open the app store and try downloading the updates and see if it works.
if it doesn't try a new test user to install the updates. the following article tells how to create a new acct on the mac:

My App World - can you clear 'uninstalled apps'?
I have a load of uninstalled apps listed in My World on my phone.
I got rid of them as I didn't want them, but they are still there - how do I get rid of them properly? So they aren't even listed.
I've heard how you do it on the Storm, but that device is very different.
How do you do it on the Curve 8520?I can't answer any "why" questions. Things are what they are. Under older versions of AppWorld, it would actually clear. But the current versions (as I stated) maintain the record forever. Further, the record is technically on the AppWorld servers, reflected in the on-device MyWorld. What you should and shouldn't be able to do is a function of what the capabilities are...and they are what they are. What you'd like to be able to do and not do, well that's a different matter. But we tend to focus here on how things are since there's pretty much nothing we can do, here on these forums, about what we'd like to be able to do.

Does Roaming data syncs for the first time when app data are in download and installation process?
Hi,
I will store user Id in "HighPriority" Roaming data. When user will install app in another computer (with the same Microsoft Account), app will get user Id from Roaming data. Then I can implement all data sync over my cloud service.
There are 2 scenarios:
1. User downloads and installs app in another computer, but roaming data syncs/downloads for the first time only after several minutes -
It's bad for my app :(
2. User downloads and installs app in another computer and roaming data syncs/downloads at the same time (then I can get user Id immediately)
- Its great for my app :)
Which scenario is real in practice?
Does Roaming data syncs for the first time when app data are in download and installation process?Umm no not that i remember. It just randomly started happening. I reformatted the hard drive for mac (journaled) but it was working fine since i did it until now

Hi...I am new to this site and it looks like I posted the question in the subject box...my bad.
I have an Iphone 3G which is used as an ipod (phone service plans are too expensive).
I had some apps on it, Facebook being one of them. The device was goins soooo slow (not even 2G of the available 6 being used) so I did as instructed and backed it up, restored it and then put the info back into it. When I tried to download the Facebook app...it said that I had a 4.2.1 system and needed a 4.3 something system? Can anyone provide any help on this or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you in advanceSorry. There's nothing anyone can do. The current version of the facebook app will not run on 4.2.1. The iPhone 3G won't run anything higher than 4.2.1. You're stuck.
Maybe it's time to buy yourself a new iPod Touch. -
can't download anything from app store or itunes. everytime i try to install an app i get this error "there is a billing problem with a previous purchase. please update ur payment method". i have recently changed my visa debit card and home adress and when i make these changes i still get the same error.

How can I delete apps from the app store? There seems to be every app I have ever downloaded and deleted since I got my phone in 2007. When I go to app store and select update apps there's a menu at the top that says purchased and when I select it it shows every app I've ever had! I would like to delete the history please.

While in Japan on a trip, I updated my iPhone to iOS6. Now, when I try to update my apps, I'm told that my account is not good in the Japan store I must switch to the USA store. How do I do that so I can download and update apps at home in the USA?
Your Apple ID is tied to the US store. Log out of the store, then trying logging back in.

It may just be a glitch. Try going into the app store signing out, then sign back in and see if it clears up.

Every time I try to download Lion, the download, the download appears to start, but then stops, saying an error has occured, with nothing downloaded, and the App icon disappears from the dock.
Has anybody else experienced similar?same problem and precisely with the OS X lion up to date program.
I called apple but they said there's nothing they can do for now. there are many problems they are trying to resolve and one of them is the up to date program.
the only solution available they said is to wait. but they didn't specify for how long.
One would think that they'd test their solution well when they took the decision to make the OS available only though the appstore or at least offer a back up solution should people be unable to obtain it like it is the case for us.
