BB 8330 Telus, Back from service... Radio on, not connecting

Hello all,
I'm running the more current device software, I've tried battery pulls, and even alt+lglg to see what might possibly would be causing such an issue.
My ESN is autorized on the telus switch and I'm puzzled after all this why it still won't connect to even allow me to make the call to *22803 to download the romaing lists...
I have done a "diagnostics test" and I get an immediate error of "APN List Empty"...
Also under status it shows signal as: No Coverage
I have a curve 8350 that has near perfect coverage so I't not the avialablinty of signal...
WHY is this happening?
HOW can I solve this quickly?
Thank you,
Zacron

You are going to want to get a media card if planning to add music-ringtones-pictures-videos.  Don't want to use up device memory.  It'll go fast.

  • HT5625 Got my iPhone back from service, now it's connected to an unknown Apple-ID.

I forgot the passcode for my iPhone, and sent it to a shop for it to reset. Now as I open it, I have to log in with an Apple-ID I don't know of. Is there some way I can reset the whole phone and disconnect it to the Apple-ID?

YOu have to take it back to that shop and have them remove the Apple ID and password.  That cannot be bypassed by anyone but the person to set those up.

  • Back from service, case doesn't seem right

I just got my macbook pro back from service, maybe a week or two ago. Since its been back I've noticed the case really doesn't seem like its fitting together right. I've got gaps between various pieces of the case and have parts that don't really fit flush anymore. It wasn't like this when I sent it out
If I call apple do you think they'll fix it? They could easily just ignore it and blame it on me, but it definitely wasn't like this when I sent it off, and the more I look at it the more it really seems put together wrong.

I'm guessing that there is a gap on the front of the machine where the bottom case fits with the top case (the part with the keyboard & trackpad).
Once the unit is popped open, it doesn't close quite like it did when it was first assembled. That's because there are 4 clips that are on the front inside lip that get slightly worn when the machine is popped open. I'm also guessing that there is a glue of somesort that is run lightly around the seams to ensure flush enclosure.
There are stories that even without servicing that these gaps form after time.
If you go and demand that apple fix it, they will. They will have to replace the top and bottom case. This fix could take quite a bit longer as it would need to be sent out to the depot. All of the innerds need to come out to replace the bottom case. But...they'll do it if you demand it.

I am heading out to the US from NZ and I want to buy an Iphone, Will it work in NZ if I buy from Apple and do not connect to any network until back in NZ? Thanks

When you get to the States, if you will be in an area with an Apple store for a couple days, call and ask about reserving an unlocked iPhone, it takes a couple days to get it in the store from what I understand.
The current MBP 15" models are 2.2 and 2.4 GHz i7 machines.  There is a 17" with 2.5 GHz i7.
The difference, in addition to the slightly faster cpu, is:
    2.2 GHz - Radeon HD 6750 M with 512 MB VRAM
    2.4 GHz - Radeon HD 6770 M with 1 GB VRAM
Both have the same hard drive, 750 GB 5400 rpm, both have the same primary graphics - Intel 3000.
So the difference is in the discrete grapics processor, important for heavy video work, heavy gaming...but will drain the battery a lot faster.
You can get all the details on any Mac computer by going to http://www.everymac.com and click on the model and then scroll down to the exact machine of interest.

  • While my "Library" is turned on in iTunes, I keep getting a message from my AppleTV "Could not connect to "Chuck's Library."  What am I doing wrong? I am a newby.

While my Library is turned on in iTunes, I keep getting the following message from my AppleTV: "Could not connect to Chuck's Library."  What am I doing wrong.  I am a newbie, just getting started.  Ultimately, I'm trying to get everything linked up so I can view My Picture on TV (via my wireless network - of course).
Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Does your Firewall allow access for iTunes, do you have any security software installed, is your network working correctly.

Can I remotely remove Apps from my iphone when not connected to iTunes. I have my apple ID and password. but my iphone is not in same wifi range

Sorry, not sure what you mean by remotely?
You can remove apps from your phone without being connected to anything if you have the phone in hand. Were you speaking about something else?
If not, then you just press on an app on the Home screen and hold it down until they all begin to wiggle. Apps that you can remove (non-Apple apps) have a little "x" in the top left-hand corner. Tap on that, and the app will be removed.
    Cheers,

Tap & hold an app icon until they wiggle then tap the X on the app you want to delete.

  • "The PowerPivot service application could not connect to the Analysis Services instance"

    Hi
I am baffled by this one.  I have a PowerShell script I have built up to install PowerPivot, which I have put together by reading various blogs and by picking apart the scripts that come with the PowerPivot installer.
However, once I have built the service app and installed/activated the solutions and features, I get the error "The PowerPivot service application could not connect to the Analysis Services instance" when trying to use it.  I can't find any
more detailed messages, even with verbose logging turned on.  SSAS\PowerPivot is of course installed and connected to Excel as it should be.
I have tried running the PowerPivot for SharePoint validation tool and it doesn't find anything.
If I install PowerPivot using the PowerPivot for SharePoint installer, then delete the service app and rerun my scripts, everything then works fine.
So there is something the installer is doing that I am not, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what it is.  I though it might be permission related, but the official installer installs the service under the farm account, not my BI service account.
Ahaa, I thought, but when I then reinstall the service myself with my scripts, using my BI service account, the service app then works, so I don't think it can be permission related.
Doing a Google search on that message pulls up only one old post (repeated a few times), which talks about using a domain account for the SSAS instance instead of a Local System account - I am using the same domain service account for SSAS, Excel and
PowerPivot already, so that doesn't help me much.
Does anyone have any ideas for me or suggestions on how I might proceed?
    Andrew vR

Did you run the "Run PowerPivot for SharePoint Configuration Tool" after installing PowerPivot and did that work okay?
    Kind regards,

  • How to take control back from service error handler in osb

I am using osb to send data to multiple services at the same time.since x query is a procedural language if any single operation fails the flow goes to service error handler which calls a BPEL webservice and logs the error in a database but the control doesnt comes back to my code I have tried everything including RESUME,REPLY operations but all in vain similarly i cannot use service callout call to my business service because its not allowing to select my BPEL wsdl operation

If your statement "the control doesnt comes back to my code" means you expect that your xquery will continue in processing than your expectations are just too high. :-)
Resume action is supposed to resume the next action in the message flow. It means the action that follows the action which caused an error.

  • MBP came back from service - What are these replacement parts??

I sent in a MBP and it came back with some extra repairs to it. The issue I was having was 3 hard drives that crashed within a 3 month period. No data was recoverable. Can anyone tell me what these parts are? I assume one is the logic board (from google searches, but not sure what the other one is.
    PCBA,LIO/AUDIO (M59)
    FLEX ASSY, LIO/AUDIO (M59)
    Thanks

PCBA, LIO/Audio is the DC-in board, the board that you plug the power cord into and has all the mic, audio, USB port stuff...The Flex Assy is just the cable that connects the PCBA to the main logic board

It keeps getting stick at New York time zone when I put It back to automatic. Never happend before on other trips to different time zones. Already tried reset and sync with the Mac. And latest iOS installed
    Anyone knowing this problem?

  • Cannot delete music from ipod nano if not connected!

I couldn´t believe it´s not possible to delete files from my ipod nano 4G when not connected to my PC !! I use it to record talks (w/ XtremeMac´s MicroMemo) and I needed to make some room to record important talks in a seminar and I found it´s impossible to delete some downloaded music! It´s unbelieveable such simple and useful feature is not implemented yet even in this (otherwise excellent) newest generation ipod!!!
Would it be likely a future firmware with this feature?

"Would it be likely a future firmware with this feature?"
No one here would know what future upgrades Apple have planned and they don't as a rule pre-announce what will be contained in Firmware updates. You can leave your feedback/feature request at this link: Apple Product Feedback

  • Can Apple TV work from home sharing if not connected to internet?

I have recently purchased Apple TV but where it has to be connected to the TV it cannot be detected by the Airport Wifi router that is placed on the property.
I can use my Macbook to connect to the internet, but can I some how use home sharing to my Apple Tv even if it is not connected to the internet?
If not, is there any other possible way to get Apple TV to work?

I would get a pair of mains powerline networking adapters to send ethernet from the router to the AppleTV across the mains.
Unfortunately AppleTv requires internet to briefly authorise protected content and won't work without it via Home Sharing.
A while since I tested unprotected content but I suspect that won;t work either as AppleTV needs internet to set the time.
