BB Curve 8310 ATT Bluetooth headset HELP
I am at the end of my rope here with this 'thing'! Switched to ATT in June and got the Blackberry. Bought a Motorola
Bluetooth when I bought my 'smart phone'. Salesman raved about the Moto headset. The week before I had purchased the
newest version of the Jawbone, which did not fit me correctly and no one could hear me speak. (Returned it
and this is when I got sucked into the Blackberry and ATT )
Long story short-- I now own 3 brand new Blue tooth headsets-- Motorola, Plantronics and the raved about newest
Call Pod Dragon-- all since June 2008! All are compatible with the Blackberry model I have.
All pair correctly with the BB. All my settings are correct. ( I only have tried one headset at a time)
They ring-- I can answer and then the exact same thing happens with each different headset--
everyone complains that they can barely hear me-- I sound garbled and crackly--
people hang up on me. I am unable to conduct phone calls on my cell phone .
So after 3 hours on the phone with ATT-- they can't figure anything out ( bounced around to 3 different people)
and decide to send me a new Blackberry ( really a refurbished one-- which is how they replace their phones).
My reception area is not the problem either.
The set up of the new phone takes many hours of my time along with a 4 hour phone call with ATT, since the directions
that came with it are as bad as the user guides they have online.
Guess what? So far the the same problem remains. I have one more Bluetooth to charge up and try but I am doubtful it will allow me to make calls.
The Blackberry is supposed to work as a cell phone, yes? Unfortunately, I can not hold a phone up to my ear-- cervical discs blown and numbness in my hands. There isn't even a plug in slot to put a corded headset in? Out of 1400 cell minutes a month-- I'm only using about 76 a month. I've had to borrow a cell phone for work.
Answers please please..... Thank you in advance...I have tons of ATT roll-over minutes I'll share if you help me ! LOL
Thanks for the info. I don't remember getting a head set beyond the motorola bluetooth one. I'll have to find the boxes now.
The weird thing is that I tried using that jack on the blackberry with a cordless headset I have for my plantronics home phone
system and it doesn't fir-- hole to big. This headset has worked with every other cell phone I've had the past 5 years. So I wasn't sure what the receptacle was for when the 'fit' didn't work.
How about if anyone else has experienced multiple bluetooth sound problesm with this model Blackberry? Any answers ? Solutions?
thanks

Sending files from computer to bb Curve 8310 via bluetooth?
I was trying to send music files to my blackberry curve 8310 from my computer via my usb bluetooth. I am having trouble figuring out how to do it. My pc seems to be recognizing the curve but I cant figure out how to send music to it. Can anyone tell me or point me to a tutorial or something? Thank you. Sorry if this questions been asked before. I tried looking but didnt really see anything that helped.
Hi,
You are right wrong procedure.
There's a reason they call me Bifocals
Here is how to setup the connection between the PC and BB,
Just stop before the desktop manager part:

Thinking of getting a Curve 8310...pls help me with some questions
I have an ancient palm centro which I love dearly but the thing is falling apart as I have had it for over 2 years. I recently upgraded to a palm pixi plus but when I found out that I cannot bluetooth or text message calender events to my husband's phone, I returned it. I have a few questions about this phone:
1.) Can you bluetooth or text message calendar events to another phone that is not a blackberry? And in the same respect, can you receive calendar events from another phone in the same way? This is how I communicate upcoming events with my husband with my centro and it goes right on our calenders with a reminder. I am unwilling to give up this feature.
2.) I am assuming that blackberry creates a chat log like in my centro during text messaging?
3.) Can you create birthday reminders from your contact list? I was shocked that the pixi did not have this option.
4.) Does the phone have a switch on the side to silence the phone and it will vibrate?
Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to answer my questions!Hey Lizzy731,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Here is the answers to your questions.
1. You can not Bluetooth transfer from one device to another and send calendar events. However Bluetooth media transfer does work. If anyone sends you an email with a calendar invite, it will save to your BlackBerry.
2. When sending and receiving SMS, it does have a record of every message sent and receive.
3. You do have the option to place in the birthday within a contact.
4. You do have convenience keys which can be customized to your pleasure, so if you want to make one of the buttons to vibrate only, then you can.

Hi.. i hope someone can help me.
My cousin gave me her BB Curve 8310, and her provider is At&t and my provider is H2o (prepaid international wireless company) the phone works great, i can receive and make calls, text message easly, but the data is not working MMS and internet. I have a data plan that i cant use on the phone because i dont know how to do the configuration. I called the company H2O and they said that the phone works great because at&t phones are compatible with h20, but the data doesnt work, so they told me to do the configuration manually. but im not an expert and i couldnt find anything on the list that they gave me.
this is what they gave me.

Removed personal information to comply with Community Guidelines and Terms and Conditions of Use.Hello darkqueen and charliehope and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Can you both send me a private message with your BlackBerry PIN (found under Options>Status) so I can investigate further for you.
darkqueen, since you bought an unlocked device you are most likely seeing the originating carrier's information as each software bundle is specific to a carrier's request. I will investigate further when I get the requested information.
Thanks

Hello people of the forum, I will tell you my case:
My uncle gave me a blackberry curve 8310 five months ago, only used it to call and receive messages.
But the BlackBerry is in USA (AT & T) and my uncle brought him to my country (Peru) Now, I want to register the phone, which was in (att.blackberry.com) to (claroperu.blackberry.com) but when I want to register (claroperu.blackberry.com) I get error and I can not do anything, I'm told is the Pin But it's complicated
Help me please
Thank'sWhoever owned the phone before you (I think your uncle) needs to contact AT&T and have the PIN released from his account. Then you can set it up with your carrier.

I anonymized the MAC of the Bluetooth headset because otherwise, somebody would probably yell at me for the security vulnerability. Because with that MAC, someone could uh ..... they could ...... uhm ...... well I anonymized it anyways.
So without further ado, here's what I do to try and get my bluetooth headset going:
[root@yvonne bluetooth]# lsmod | grep ^snd_bt_sco
snd_bt_sco 14028 0
[root@yvonne bluetooth]#
That ensures I've got the appropriate module loaded.
[root@yvonne bluetooth]# ps ax | fgrep "hcid
> dbus"
2987 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/bin/dbus-daemon --system
3000 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/sbin/hcid -f /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf
3494 tty1 S 0:00 /usr/bin/dbus-launch --sh-syntax --exit-with-session
3495 ? Ss 0:00 dbus-daemon --fork --print-pid 8 --print-address 6 --
4758 pts/4 R+ 0:00 grep -F hcid?dbus
[root@yvonne bluetooth]#
I've got HCID going, with DBus started first (read up about that on the forums)
[root@yvonne bluetooth]# rm /var/lib/bluetooth/00:08:2B:03:68:D2/linkkeys && touch /var/lib/bluetooth/00:11:1B:09:31:E5/linkkeys

Note that each time after I wipe out the keys from /var/lib/bluetooth, I'm putting the headset back into pairing mode by holding down its "phone" button.
So I'm kind of at the end of my rope here. Something is going wrong during pairing, but what is it? dmesg isn't giving me any clues here either. Is the PIN not getting transmitted properly or something?[/code]Ok, there's some strange things happening with bluetooth these days it seems. I had a lot of trouble setting up a connection to my phone, even after following avery bit of advice I found on the net.
But somehow I found a way, and now it works. I had to do some things not documented anywhere, excepte from some obscure places from 2003 etc.
The most significant problem I encountered was that my phone would never find my computer, even though I set pscan and iscan enabled.
Here's a line of code I found that fixed the problem for me. It could work for you too, since your problem looks exactly like the things I saw when the phone couldn't see my computer.
dbus-send --system --dest=org.bluez /org/bluez/hci0
org.bluez.Adapter.SetMode string:discoverable
I write this after the bluetooth system has started.
Hope it helps -
HM1200, BH99b, JabraBT2045 bluetooth headsets do not play music from ipad, ipod touch 4th generation, although it does pair ok. Why is that if it is compatable, why it does not play any music or sound via bluetooth headsets. When I pair the headsets to Mac it does play music via bleutooth headsets! Please help me! Also, how to connect several or two bluetooth headsets to one device: Mac, or iPad iPod touch 4th generation? Please, reply as soon as possible!
Your iPad has built-in WiFi. You cannot and don't need to use the USB dongle.
Look in Settings > WiFi. Find the SSID of your wireless router, tap it's name and enter the WiFi password. -
Help help bluetooth headset need developer
Hello everybody,
I haven't any knowledge in to developing and i am here to find a developer who can help me or develop something for me,
i'm actually using a bluetooth headset (jabra) with my macbook (10.5.2) .
the headset profile works perfect , i can choose in my sound preference panel the headset as input or output, but the thing is that i don't care about the audio part what i am looking for is to use the headset buttons ( volume up/down, on/off) but the headset doesn't have any HID profile...
So what i need is a special driver or little software that keystroke for each buttons or send HID values as a gamepad or mouse do , then it will be easy for me to get the values in the sofware i use (max/msp)..
If i look in the preferences panel/sound with the headset coreaudio choosed i can see the volume bar moving when i use the volume buttons of the headset, maybe its possible to do it with applescript too? ( i will post that message in the Applescript's section too).
If anyone can help ..
million of thanks

Help conect to my bluetooth headset
Hello!
I have bought a Nokia 108 dual sim and trying to conect to my bluetooth headset.
The mobile doesn't find the headset or any other bluetooth devices.
Bluetooth is activated in the mobile and I have reset the bluetooth headset bacause it earlier was conected to my last mobile..
Someone who can help me?
Mobile supports bluetooth 3.0 and the headset supports bluetooth 2.0.For over 16 years I just had nokia.
Last week I bought a nokia 225DS and the store told me that supported hand free, then I tried to connect with my Tomtom930 and could not.
I looked on the internet and I saw many people with the same problem.
The nokia225 is a feature phone, so is a GSM to work and whether it is for work is to ride in the car and the car is mandatory hand free to talk on GSM.
Now I ask: what is going on in the head of microsoft staff?
Now this gsm goes to waste and I have to buy a new GSM perhaps Alcatel.
I'll tell everyone on Facebook to not buy these GSMs.
