BB Curve - Power Suplly

In 3 months time, it's the second time that my BB Curve won't receive powe. The first time Vodafone Portugal (where I bought th BB) said that the warranty had ended and that de BB could not be repaired. So, i bought a new one... Today, only 3 months after i bought the new BB Curve, the phone also does not receive power and when a try to connect to the computer so i can do a backup, the computer automatically shuts down.
What can i DO? Change for a Iphone?

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the charging cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage). If it doesn't reboot on the first attempt, leave it several more hours. I've had one charge for two days before it came back to life after an extreme battery depletion. Every 3-4 hours, with the device still connected to the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it reboots.
If it doesn't boot--try using another wall outlet charger or just another wall outlet. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed.
Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.

    my power supply broke, as confirmed by best buy and the apple support rep on-site. I need to order an exchange because it is still under warranty, but cannot figure out how to?     Let me repeat this one last time.
    You current PSU is too weak with only 300watts to spare and only 12A on +12v for a Prescott system. That's not the end. I've told you that a minimum of 18A ~ 20A is needed for any Prescott system and still you choose this 400watts with only 15A. This 15A on +12v PSU will not help out much nor long enough even if it can struggle for a few months, period at times.
    Get something like Antec 430watts TruePower or Enermax 465watts or above PSU that has met the requirements of a Power Hunger Prescott.
    Right now you situation is like trying to ask a person who's already starving from hunger to take 1 piece of bread per day and later told him that he can have a cup of water to go with the bread which isn't enough to kill the hunger as he needs more than what is provided.

  • Windows recognizes ipod but updater or itunes not

    hey folks i need help pretty bad. i do have 30GB ipod photo. when i plug it in to power suplly it's not getting charged,windows recognaizes it as a removable harddisk but when i open i-tunes it doesn't recognizing at all neither ipod updater. when open it i just have the folder icon with an exclamation point and nothing is happening. so i hope you guys can help me out.

    Press "Select"+"Play" keys and put it in Disk Mode and plug it back with your PC, open the iPod updater and click RESTORE.
    If still can't get your iPod recognized (I copy it from MarkJones)
    1. Quit iTunes
    2. Open the Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-Delete)
    3. Click the Processes tab
    4. Locate the following processes (if they're present), and end them:
    -iPodService.exe
    -iTunesHelper.exe
    -iTunes.exe
    5. Restart iTunes

    Here are the specs for your HP Pavilion p6-2260ea Desktop Computer. According to the specs, this model came with a 300 watt power supply and Windows 8. Most NVIDIA GeForce GTX650 Ti cards require a 400 watt or greater system power supply to function correctly. You will need the replace the power suplly with something like the Corsair CX500 or CX600. These power supplies come highly recommended and are known to fit most HP consumer desktop computers.

    Hello one of my friend send me that cisco ap!
    The problem is i hava only the ap and the power suplly. anything else!
    I try to connect with my pc to change the settings but i refused to do a factory reset by unplug the power and plug in again and push the mode button about 2s !!

    if AP is set to factory default, BVI interface will be configured with default IP 10.0.0.1 subnet mask 255.0.0.0.
    So, you need to configure static IP on your PC with IP 10.0.0.2 subnet mask 255.0.0.0, no gateway required as you will connect PC directly to AP.
    you are getting IP 169.254.153.164 as you might have configured TCP/IP properties of PC NIC to get IP address automatically from DHCP server. You are trying to ping PC IP from PC itself, so it will always work. what I'm asking you is to ping 10.0.0.1 from your PC after configuring static IP with above parameters. To access AP for first time, setup a static IP manually.
    Once done, try to ping AP from your PC, if you are able to ping, then try to access http:// from internet browser and you should atleast see the homepage of AP which prompt for username and password, where you can enter "cisco" in password and leave username as blank.

    Try to put your iPod in Disk Mode, and see whether it got mounted and allow you to do the Restore (open the ipod updater - it will erase all file with your iPod). If no, you have to fix it with a Mac, (hope you can find a friend using a Mac). Again, put it in Disk Mode and plug with a Mac, then do a Restore in Mac version. Once it has being completed, plug it back with your PC, and restore in back to PC version. Don't give up, as I managed to fix few iPods with the same problem

  • Problem replacing K8n Neo4 Platinum

    Hello everybody, this is my first post here, I am a new member from Italy.
    I have this problem:
    I own a K8n Neo4 Platinum and when I changed the VGA from Nvidia 6600 GT to 8600 GTS the Mobo doesn't post anymore.. The usb diagnostig bracket says it's a memory problem but when I've put my memory banks on a different PC, they work just fine.
    I think the problem was caused by the little space that I had between the VGA and the chipset cooler (Zalman passive);when I installed the VGA I damaged the chipset. Taking a closer look at it I noticed that 1 edge is damaged. I also substituted the Power suplly but the result is always the same.
    So I decided to replace the mobo but I don't want to reinstall windows. Finding my same mobo is impossible here in Europe. I only found the K8n Neo4-F.
    My question is the following :
    -Does this Mobo use the same drivers that were installed on my HD? (latest driver downloaded  from Nvidia version 6.86)
    -Will I have problems with Windows ?

    Hey, hope everyone can read this,... For some reason I seem to be unable to post a normal response.
    One thing that is apparent with the battery of the 9700 is that the battery actually gets extremely warm on occasions when charging. Originally I thought that it was just when I charged via USB cable but I have since discovered that it is random (could be either wall charging or USB charging). When the battery gets too hot it doesn't retain the same sort of battery as otherwise (i.e. it lasts anywhere less than 7 hours before needing a charge). Other times it seems to last 3-4 days using multiple applications.
    Additionally, I was all old fashioned when I got my 9700 (beginning of 2010) and so I decided to charge my battery to full. This hasn't made any difference to me... Occasionally I have good battery life and something I have really really really really really bad battery life (the one time I charged my battery full before I went to sleep, I was woken up with my phone turning off due to lack of battery and nothing was running in the background... This was due to the heat generated from the charging). Nothing to do with the initial charge... That was, as someone said, a 1999 retarded and stupid phenomenon. We have subsequently had advances in technology (yes, believe it or not but a lot changes in 11 years) and as such battery 'memory' no longer exists in the same sense as it did before.
    Bottom line, if you didn't discharge your battery completely and then completely recharge it again it won't make a difference. It would have many many many many years ago and some people will still say it is the case. Listen to them if you would like to be sure but the only difference is the time it will take before you can use your device.

    Can anybody help me, or suggest what I need to do? my GRaid 2tb external firewire drive wont turn on, it has all my work on it.  I am stuck!! tried another power suplly and still will not work.  Any help?

  • [GeForce 6] Energy warning by nvidia on MSI gf 6600 gt

       Hi, i have a big warning by nvidia saying that the clock of my video card has been automaticly lowered (underclocked) because the card doesnt get enought energy (this only occur under full load). My power suply was 400 watts, i Changed it for a 500 watts power suplly. Had no problem afet i change it. One week later y sold the card to a friend. the warning apeared once in windows, not enven in full load.
    My question is: Does this really means that the card doesnt get enought energy or could be something else?

    Hi, his PC needs more power than yours, and also could you please look at the stick in th PSU and post here how much amps do they have (yours and his), it should be like this: 12v 18a, 5v 30a and so on. And again he has a more powerful PC and ot means that it needs more power.
    Off topic: It happened to me the same two days ago, I was starting to play Far Cry, and the big warning came out, also I noticed that my VGA Fan stopped running after that. I gues my PSU cannot support my rig anymore. I have 6 fans connected in my rig, but I tried to add another one, when I connected the others started to run slowly, I could hear that, I did twice for a couple of seconds to see if I was wrong but no way, I can't add more fans (we're having 33 ° C outside... is getting really hot here  ) What do you think guys? I don't want to hijack Puco's thread, it was just a comment, I know, I have to change ASAP my PSU.

  • Satellite L775-13D - battery replacement issue

    My battery is currently saying 'consider replacing your battery' as it doesnt hold a charge completely. Had the laptop just over 2 years so I guess a replacement battery is needed.
    Problem is I cant seem to find one compatible, or I am doing something wrong?
    The first one i bought, the website clearly indicated it was for my laptop model, however when I connected it up the orange battery light would flash and the laptop wouldnt switch on. I charged it overnight, and same thing.
    The second one I bought, again website clearly indicated it was for my laptop model, and again did the same as above.
    Is there something I should be doing that I haven't done or have I just been unlucky with the batteries I have bought?
    Laptop batteries aren't easy to return 'cos of Royal Mail restrictions so any help would be appreciated.

    The new battery I put in, the laptop doesnt even switch on, just shows the flashing orange light flashing.
    The old original battery the laptop comes on fine and the power supply charges the battery 100%. When the power suplly is pulled put the message is that the battery isnt holding charge for very long and needs replacing. So its a new battery I need I cant seem to find one that works so far.
    Do all those battery part nos mentioned in the earlier post work with this laptop or only the pa3817u-1brs?

  • HELP ! My USB ports seems to be deads !

    For my weekly back-up, I use an USB external HDD that have to use 2 USB ports.
    In order to use only 1 port, I've connected my external HDD to a power supply.
    Unfortunately, it seems that the power suplly I used wasn't the goos one for my HDD and when I've connected the HDD to the MacBook, the MacBook as turned off. So, I quickly have unplugged the USB and I've reboot the MacBook but it told me that the USB port was using to much energy and that it will be disabled.
    So, I've unplugged all the rest on the USB (my keyboard with my mouse plugged-on) and I've reboot the MacBook. Unfortunately, it told me again that the USB port was using too much energy.
    So, I turned off the MacBook, unplugged the power supply and removed the battery and I plugged my mouse to the 2 USB ports in order to unload a possible capacitor too much loaded and I turned my MacBook back on.
    Now, I don't have any message but the 2 USB ports are not working. Here is a capture of my System Informations :

    I searched how to activate my ports on the Internet but the only solution I found was to reboot the laptop, and it's not working for me...

    Pour mon back-up hebdomadaire, j'utilise un disque dur externe en USB.
    Malheureusement, celui-ci m'oblige à le branché sur les 2 ports USB de mon MacBook, ce qui fait que c'est assez chiant de bosser dessus pendant que le disque dur est branché.
    J'ai remarqué que mon boîtier de disque dur avait une prise pour alimentation externe. J'ai donc branché la première alimentation qui m'est tombée sous la main et qui semblait être faite pour lui. Comme ça, j'avais l'intention de ne brancher le boîtier qu'à un seul port USB et ça aurait dû fonctionner...
    Sauf que voilà, de toute évidence, l'alimentation utilisée n'était pas la bonne et lorsque j'ai branché le boîtier, le MacBook s'est éteint.
    Je me suis empressé de le débranché et j'ai redémarré le MacBook.
    Au démarrage, celui-ci me dit qu'un port USB consomme trop d'énergie et qu'il sera désactivé. Et effectivement, il l'est. Je redémarre donc en débranchant tout ce qu'i y a sur les ports USB (mon clavier et la souris qui est branchée dessus) et je redémarre. Rebelotte, le même message qui revient. Je l'éteint donc, le débranche, enlève la batterie, branche ma souris en USB pour "décharger" un éventuel condensateur trop chargé et je relance la bécane avec la batterie et l'alimentation.
    J'ai plus le message, donc j'ai un peu d'espoir qui revient et je rebranche ma souris pour tester le port... rien.
    Je redémarre, re-test... rien.
    Je vais dans les informations système, et j'ai ça :

    J'ai cherché comment ré-activer mes ports USB mais la seule solution que j'ai trouvée c'est de redémarrer la machine, ce qui ne marche pas dans mon cas.

    Try to reset the parameter random access memory (PRAM) and nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM) on your computer. Turn off your computer, then restart it and immediately press and hold the "Command," "Option," "P" and "R" keys on the keyboard. Release the keys after you hear the startup chime for the third time and your computer should boot normally.
    To avoid such issues you may use a self-powered USB hub (one that comes with a separate power brick).

  • X40 battery prblem

    I needd a new battery for my x40. Since lenovo no longer sells these for this model I bought one from mobile tech ower. It is a China made model #LIBX40. I installed it and began charging it.It got up to 93% after a long while so I decided to drain it (not all the way) and charge it again. Well, now it wont charge. I let it charge over night and it stays at 3% (charging). Did I mess up the battery? Is the battery crap? Is there something wrong with my charger? Is there anybody in LA hwo can look at it? How can get answers to these questions? I don't have a lot fo money. I spent $90 on the new battery and now I'm filled with anxiety.

    My latestattempt to get this new battery to charge involved me plling it out and letting it set for 5 hours and then putting it back in to charge over night. The next day, the light was still orange. So I left it charging when I went to work. When I came home the light was flashing orange. When I went to check the status, it was at 3% but no longer (charging).
    I emailed the vendor of the battery (mobiletechpower.com)
    Today they emailed me
    I apologize for any inconvenience. What is your order number
    I sent that along and now I'm waiting.
    these are the various theories I have. If you can add anything let me know.
    1. The battery is defective. NO physical damage as far as I can see. Looks new. Made in China Model LIBX40 Manufacturer. It has a warrenty. I'll send it back and see
    2. My power supply is defective. It seems to work okay powering the laptop. I'll have to buy a new one to find out. If I gt a new power suplly and the same problem occurs maybe rule that out.
    3. My computer is defective. How could I ever know this?
    I really need to get this laptop portable in 2 weeks before I leave town.

  • Prob with X-fi Music edit

    I Have had the Sound card for, i would say 2 weeks or so. I have a Pent 4 2.8, gig of ram, 350 watt Power supply, 20gig HD and a Radeon 9800 pro. I started noticeing probs in BF2 about 3 days after i got the card. I started to hear what other people were hearing as if my Right speakers were connected to his game. I would hear everything he would. I then started to hear skipping when i would start to shoot or sounds wouldnt play at all. THen this is what got me mad. At any randome time after i played BF2, During, or anytime really. My computer would just restart randomly. Like it goes to black screen and turns off. Another prob is when i am playing any game, i talk on ventrilo, it wont let me talk at all. On ventrilo or in game useing my mic. I have tried to reformat my HD, that didnt work, put the sound card in a differnt PCI slot. That didnt work. Reinstalled Drivers, that didnt work. THis all started after i got the Sound card to. So there for I have come to think of it that my power suplly isnt good enough, I dont know really what my computer/ sound card needs. Or that the sound card is faulty. I need help on makeing a dicession. Send the card in for a new one. Or replace the Powersupply or check the computer. Or if someone could give me some help, would be much appricated.
    P.S I have the logitech Z-5500 speaker system.

    Do you have Windows XP? If so, do the following:
    . Right-click on My Computer and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
    2. In the window that appears, click on the Advanced tab and then click on the Settings button under the Startup and Recovery heading (at the bottom).
    3. Under the Systen Failure heading, click on the checkbox that says "Automaticall Restart" so that the box is UNchecked. Click Apply and then OK.
    4. If you are asked to restart your computer, save whatever you're doing and restart.
    5. Play Battlefield 2 until your computer crashes. You should now see a blue screen that says STOP: 00000Cx0 or something like that at the top. Write down the error message, the numbers next to the STOP:, and any files that are listed at the bottom.
    Chances are those restarts are really STOP Errors, but Windows XP is set to not show them by default. It'll restart instead. Those messages can be very helpful in determining where the problem is. Write down what you can and then reply back here with what it says.
