BB Curve tried 2 new batteries won't charge - battery icon flashes yellow for few seconds then shows a black plug
BB Curve 9360. Please help.
My 6 month old battery stopped taking a charge. Had left to charge overnight from the mains and phone was dead in morning. Wouldn't turn on or take a charge.
Had a spare battery from before and tried this. Charged to 25% and then showed battery icon with black plug and wouldn't take any more. If unplug and re-plug, shows yellow flash as if charging for a few seconds and then shows black plug. 25% charge runs down very quickly.
Bought a new battery. Exactly same experience. Sometimes gets between 5 - 25% charge but mostly is completely dead and not enough power to get beyond red flashing indicator.
Tried on and off. Tried taking out battery (many times!). Tried taking battery out while charging, waiting 30 seconds and then replacing battery (many times). Tried 3 other chargers, both from mains and from USB.
Have left it plugged in for hours even when showing black plug or just empty red battery - nothing. Just dies completely and hard to get enough power to get started again.
Left it unplugged and without battery for 2 days. Plugged into mains, got yellow flash and then black plug. Every time got black plug would unplug and re-plug to get yellow flashing back. Got it to 80% that time. But now gone back to only reaches 5% or won't take a charge and just red batterys sometimes with black plug or just empty, red flashing indicator.
Plugged into BB desktop manager to back up and checked for software updates. No updates available.
Only thing I can think is mini USB slot on BB is broken and need a new phone. Any ideas of anything else to try before bite the bullet??? Thank you!!

Hello,
I just updated my phone with ios 6.1.3 and now my gmail email is not working. When i tap the mail icon it brings me to my inbox for 2 seconds then immediately back to my phone home screen. I have tried deleting and re-adding my gmail account and I have reset all settings also.
Nothing is working. Does anyone have any tips?

My iPad won't charge, battery icon comes on when i plug it in but it won't charge any further
I have been trying everything to get my iPad to charge. Its an ipad2 wifi. its been off for probably two weeks if not more, just haven't had the desire to use it as i have an iPhone a macbook air and a new iPad mini so it kinda just sat there....now I'm wondering if its just gone kaput! Ive tried various cords and outlets. switched the cord... and still nothing. I grid doing a hard reset (home button and power button at the same time) and that didn't work either it just flawed the battery icon at me. when i unplug the iPad it says i need to charge it.... and well I have been trying.... what should i do!!??

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the iPad will not charge. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

The apple logo appears for 5 seconds then disappears for 10 then appears for five and so on. I can get it to the connect to iTunes screen but as soon as I unplug it from the wall it shuts off completely. A laptop with iTunes isn't enough to power it up. Can anyone help me fix this?

New Toshiba Sattelite L750-10F audio freezes in place for a second then returns to normal
I recently bought this notbook and the audio constantly freezes and makes a squealing noise for a second or two then returns to normal. Any suggestions?

Try Deleting it from your device, then download again from purchase history.

Brand new IPOD Shuffle won't charge battery!
What am I doing wrong???
I did download and install ITUNES, and added a bunch of songs that show in ITUNES,(that I put on the IPOD) and when I dock it, it blinks yellow, then goes to solid green. After I eject it, I try to turn it on, but, I get no light, and it won't play.
Any ideas?I am having a similar problem with my iPod shuffle 2G. I read that the shuffle would not charge properly unless it was plugged into a high speed USB port (which I later discovered my computer does not have). I bought an A/C adapter in order to charge it from the wall (not from Apple). I charged it overnight until the light turned green. I disconnected the iPod and turned it on; the light stayed green for two seconds, then went off, and the iPod does not play.
I contacted Apple Support, and the only suggestion they could offer was that the A/C adapter I bought is not the correct one. I am now waiting for a second wall charger to arrive, to see if that in fact is the case. The iPod did in fact sync and load songs with no problem despite not having a high speed USB port. Anybody else experience this? -
screen locked up and shows the battery with low red and ligtning bolt and cannot hard shut down or reset just stays there for a few seconds then black screen. hooked up to computer and itunes doesnt recognize it or even shows that it is pluged in. looked and made sure nothing is broken or metal in ligting port or on cable which would prevent it from accepting a charge. ipod is only a month old and seems like a waste of money if its so hard to try to get an explanation of why this is ive been tryning to get an answer from apple for a week now.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace -
My ipad2 won't charge, it's been on 1% all day now. It's plugged in and keeps shutting off. The cord works fine, it's charging my husbands iPad. Any suggestions?
Is this with the power adaptor that was included with your iPad 2 purchase?
The same power adaptor and USB dock connector cable charges your husband's iPad?
If so, sounds like a hardware problem with the battery or something else. Have you tried powering the iPad off and on and/or a reset which is similar to a computer restart?
If so with no change, make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby. -

Restart your phone,hold the home button and the off button down till the apple symbol comes up. If that doesnt fix it , you need to do a restore in itunes by connecting to itunes , click on your phones name to the left, then click restore in the center of the screen and restore from backup.

I just got a new charger for my laptop after my last one broke and I plug it in and it says it is charging for a second then the charging icon goes away like its not working anymore? I have no idea what to do because I am sure the same will happen if I bought another charger.

Welcome to the HP Forums! Was the original charger doing the same thing as the new one? It could be the battery that is causing the problem. Start with a Hard Reset and if that doesn't work then we will run a hardware test on the battery. For that I will need your operating system and your product number, please.
