Last night my backlight went off and my keyboard locked...today...nothin. PLEASE help!

Apple wireless keyboard caps lock light wont turn off

I have an apple wireless keyboard that came with my 2011 imac and up untill last month the caps lock light wont turn off even when i turn caps lock off and its draining my battery. usually the keyboard will turn off whenever the computer was off but now i have to turn the whole keyboard off everytime im not using it to save battery.

It is probably faulty. If you are close to one, I suggest you take it to an Apple store for diagnosis.

N8 backlight wont turn off and cant change default...

---i got little problem here. my display backlight turns off only when I lock the phone-with button,or automaticly. I think it is suppose to turn off after the time that i can set in settings-> phone->display-light time out(5sec to 60 sec). its not a huge problem,i can always just use the button,or set screen/key lock time to minimal limit (60sec), but anyway,its **bleep** me of...fyi-> no app is runnung in background
--- than,I cant really change my default browser. of course i changed my default browser in applications setting to Opera mobile,but everytime i,lets say, click on some link on facebook (doesnt matter if i use SNAPTU or SOCIAL NETWORKS app) it opens default browser...
yeah,and just for inspiration- what facebook client do you recommend? default one is quiet good only if it would show notifications....

This is the intentional behavior! The backlight only turns off if the display/key lock is active! Light time out (5 to 60sec) is only for lowering the brightness!

Ipad 2 locked up when updating iOS 8.1.3 today and will not reset or even turn off

went to update iPad 2 from iOS 8.1.2 to 8.1.3 and it froze while updating. Then error it could not update because of problem. But it is locked on screen with cord to iTunes and will not reset or turn off. Can't get to screen to do reset in iTunes or anything. help

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke. If it has never been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, read this.

My Iphone 4 Will Not Restore, Just Keeps Turning Off

My Iphone randomly switched itsellf off, everytime i turned it back on it was wanting plugging into Itunes, Have tired EVERYTHING!

Yes, itunes detects my phone, tells me that it has picked up the device in revovery mode and i have to restore it for itunes to read it...
Its when i run the restore process it just turns off.

I've tried to send the ipod into recovery mode and it will not restore. it shows that it cannot connect ot itunes because its passcode protected. its disabled due to my son forgetting his password.

Firefox crashes, have uploaded new version (8) and will not work unless I turn off my firewall, when I turn it back on again it crashes?

Everything was ok until early last week when Firefox kept on and on crashing. I downloaded the new version on Saturday and all was fine until I switched on on Sunday and nothing, zilch. Opened in internet explorer and all was OK so knew it had to be Firefox. I disabled my Firewall and all came on perfectly, as soon as firewall goes on again Firefox goes off. I have now done a system restore back thingy (I'm sure you know what I mean!!) to before the download and am now having to put up with it crashing when it feels like it. Also very slow and sticky. I am working on Windows 7 if this helps.
If this cannot be resolved satisfactorily I will change to Safari or Internet Explorer as this is not the first problems I have had with Firefox.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Suddenly firefox will not open unless I turn off my firewall (thru McAfee). When the firewall is on, I get an error messsage that it cannot connect to the server. Any thoughts? Thanks

when opening firefox, the connection goes to www.aol.com, and the eror states it cannot establish the connection. I am not comfortable with on-line banking to leave the firewall off, and this was never a problem until last night.

My Macbook Pro is stuck. When I turn the Mac on, it start like normal. But then it's stuck. When I click on Safari or iPhoto it wont open. Nothing will open. It wont turn off either. I have to hold on the off button for 5 seconds.

Thats my problem.

switch it off with long press of Power
switch it on, IMMEDIATELY press and keep pressed Option key on keyboard
when selection appears, release option and select Recovery
then select Select Disk Utility.
in Disk Utility select your HD.
Press repair drive, wait until it finishes
Press Repair permissions, wait until it finishes
Quit disk Utility
Reboot as usual
tell if it helps.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Assistive touch will not lock my iPad 4

I am having issues with my iPad 4th gen lock button, it will allow the iPad to power down and power on but it will not lock the screen. I turned on the assistive touch control and it still will not lock with it either. I have reset the iPad twice, and I am running iOS 8.1. Any advice would be helpful!

The notice on the website notwithstanding, the iOS 4.2 update has not yet been released. Apple's webmasters were somewhat premature, or it is taking longer than expected to get the release uploaded to Apple's servers.
Try again later today, or perhaps tomorrow since today the servers will probably be jammed.

Did you check the silence/mute switch on the side of the phone above the vollume buttons? If you can see an orange line then it wont make any noise. You should flip it and it should work.
