BB Messenger Problem

Sorry if this has been answered before but I couldn't find it anywhere. My bf and I both have the Curve and are on the same provider and plan. We love the messenger service however, for some reason when we are chatting, on my screen it will say he is typing a message but I never get anything. He will eventually call or email me and say he sent the message but it just shows the little dot beside it (on his screen), never a "d" or "r". The weired thing is I never ever get them. He seems to get all my messages. Any suggestions? Thanks

That is odd. I don't know the reason, but...
What I would suggest--for now, is for both of you to delete each others contact from the BB Messenger. Pull your batteries on each to reboot, and both confirm you neither have the other's contact.
Then once clear, ONE of you invite the other back as a contact VIA the PIN option (not email).
Test it again and see how it goes.

Microsoft Messenger Problem

Hi,
I know this isn't technically an Apple problem, but I have a problem with Microsoft Messenger for Mac, and I can't think of a better forum to post it on...
Messenger used to work fine on my iMac. But then I decided to change my Windows Live ID, so that my account used a different e-mail address. Now, when I log into Microsoft Messenger on my iMac, using this new address, I log in and everything appears to be fine. BUT...
- All of my contacts appear to be offline, even when they aren't
- I can't contact any of my contacts, and they can't contact me
- My Display Picture keeps reverting back to my iMac's Account Picture, every time I restart Microsoft Messenger
Has anyone else heard of or had a similar problem? What can I do? Is Microsoft Messenger now completely messed up on my iMac with no way of getting it working again?

Help??? Logging in to Sun ONE Instant Messenger problem

Hi all,
I have just install Sun One Web server 6.1, Sun One Directory 5.2 and Sun One Instant Messaging 6.1 together on Win2K advance server. And I have successful launch Sun� ONE Instant Messenger.
But I can not know, how to create LDAP user ID and password to Login to Sun ONE Instant Messenger???
Could anyone help me to solve this problem?

But I'm sorry because, I'm only a beginner of Sun ONE application so I do not know how to step by step to do this. I list content of my iim.conf file below. Could you tell me, how can I create IM user and password on LDAP? and what Configuration Parameters I must change? And what is this value? I hope that you will help me. Internet/MSN Messenger Problems

Ok, so for the past few weeks I've been having some problems with my msn and the internet. I use my city's cable internet and I'm on an imac OS 10.4.6 800MHz PowerPC G4.
When I log onto the internet in any browser, it works just fine. But, when I log into MSN messenger, messegner tells me no one is online. I know that's not true because there is always someone online. Anyway, I log out of msn, but when I go back to use the internet, it doesn't work and I have to unplug my modem and plug it back in (reset it) to get the internet to work again.
I then decided to use my iBook laptop to use the internet. MSN worked just fine on my laptop and I had no problms until two days ago I had gotten a list of updates from mac. (I chose to get weekly updates in System Preferences). The updates were for iTunes, iPod, and a Mac OS X PowerPC update. I had done that at night, then when it was finished updating I shut the laptop down and went to bed. The next morning my laptop was giving me the same problems my imac was.
Then today my iMac wouldn't let me log onto the internet at all, when my laptop would. After I rebooted my computer it let me on.
The other strange thing is that when I tried to log in with my Apple ID to post here, it told me my ID was disabled because of security reasons, so I had to make a new ID.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Do I have some kind of virus maybe? I have no clue. Help!

After the upsdates did you run "Disk Utility" and "Repair Permissions" ?
do this preferably before and after a system update, it does fix a lot of these little problems and prevents potential hassles in the future.
Another excellent repair utility is "Applejack", go to Google and get the address and download the application (Donationware).
This program runs in Single User Mode and repairs a lot more than Disk Utility, afterwards you'll find your Mac running faster and with fewer problems.

Yahoo and MSN messenger problems

Hi,
I have a Blackberry Curve 8900, and since I have upgrade MSN and Yahoo messengers to v 2.5.27, I have the same problem with both of them.
When I try to send a picture, I get the message: "Untaught exception: UI engine accessed without holding the event lock" , and I'm logged off automatically.
How can I fix this, or downgrade to the previous version?

Ichat & msn messenger problems

Is there anyway that I can set my status to invisible on iChat?
Also- was not sure where to put this next question. On msn messenger for mac- when I try and change the emoticons, either add or remove some from my list, it states that I am only allowed a max of 59 emoticons. Would have no problem, except i have only selected about 15..........
Any idea how to change this?

After downloading it, open the item on the desktop with the white drive icon, find it, and drag it to the Applications folder in the sidebar. Open it from the Applications folder when you want to use it, and throw it away to uninstall it.

Facebook messenger problems

I can't even download Facebook messenger for my lumia 710. It doesn't show on my market.
And that's my best app too.

From your post it appears you just bought the 710 which is a phone discontinued nearly 2 years ago and which can't be upgraded to the current Windows Phone OS.
As I wrote in your other post FB messenger requires Windows Phone 8 or better. The 710 runs WP 7.8 while the 520 is a WP8 device

It was my fault cos I did not have enough credit on the phone, doh
vodafone always send an sms to let you know when credit is getting low, the only problem is they now send after the limit is too low for the data contract, i must remember in future to keep at least 10 €s on it.

IPhone kik Messenger Problem

Hello, I have been having a problem with my kik messenger from an year, on iOS6, iOS7, iOS7.1, but I ignored it, but now Im curious to know what is causing this. All my other apps notify my when new messages are recieved, but when someone messages me on kik messenger I don't get a notifcation even when it's turned on in the Notification Center.
I have tried fiddling in the Notification Centre and re-installing the app numerous times but the problem still persists, help would really be appreciated .

kik messenger is not an Apple app. Check with their support for questions and support.

Messenger Problems - HELP!!!

I have the BB Curve 8330: Starting about 10 days ago (last Friday morning) all my Berry Messenging (PINS) conversations were deleted. Then if send a contact of mine a message, it creates a new conversation. HOWEVER, when they reply, or if I get a message from one of my contacts before I create a new conversation with them (meaning I get a message from them first, before I message them), the old conversation comes up, WITHOUT the new message. BUT a second conversaiton is created with that contact. In order for me to view the NEW conversation, I have to delete the old conversation. Since that Friday 10 days ago this has been happening every few days (where my convos are deleted and I have to go through this process again). Is there a setting that is making these problems or is my software screwed up and I need to either do a hard reset (is there such a thing with BB) or send it back to Verizon to get a new phone?

removing the battery IS the hard reset.
there is a soft reset that does not involve removing the battery, but it is less effective than the hard one.
for the voice mail it is possible.

Messenger Problems

My buddy and I are having problems getting the messenger to work for us. Everytime he trys to add me to his contacts I get and email that tells me that he wants to add me, it says that if I dont have messenger to go to the link, download it and then return to this message. I already have messenger, and I have no idea what to do when I "return to the message". When I try to send him to my contacts he gets a message to accept, when he does all that happens is we are both put in the pending list. I have added a couple other people added to my contacts without any problems. After adding the first two that work I added a second email address, could this be whats causing the problem since we are usig email and not a pin? This is really starting to drive us nuts and some help would really be appreciated.

I am having a problem with Blackberry messenger on my handset where the text box at the bottom of the screen goes blank where you type and I can't see the text I have written. And orange customer services are near enough useless and have told me to ask here about this problem.
Also sometimes the cursor moves and no text is written while typing.
I have un-installed the application and re-installed it with no help and performed about 10 hand held wipes.
Please can someone give me the solution to this problem before I take a hammer to this phone.

Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.
