BB OFF....how?

the only way to turn a BB "OFF" seems to be by taking the battery out. That is fully idiotic, as i also do not take my engine from the car to switch it off. Which stupid engineer came up with this "solution", and is he the most clever person in BB/RIM?
Second, with every new upgrade my BB9810 turns slower and slower, and starting up now takes 15minutes. Worse than any version of archaic-Windows even was.
Third, the memory after just starting is something like 120Mb, and going less with every action I do, even up to 0. No way to a memory clean-up other than taking the battery out ("OFF")...which is therefore needed every second day.
In short....BB makes the worst phones since I started in 1993 to use mobile phones. Just forget about BB (and it's BBM) switch to WhatsApp and let's all use real phones.
Why (as I cannot reach the Board of Directors by email, as they must feel very ashamed) doesn't the entire set of executives commit something good for the country and the world: exit and leave !!! and leave the unrightfully earned profits to the client who suffer from stupid engineering.

Oh boy.
Depending on your theme, the location or name of the Power Off icon might differ from the location or name in this task.
If you haven't set your BlackBerry® smartphone to turn on and turn off automatically at specific times, press and hold the key. (thats the end call key)
If you have set your smartphone to turn on and turn off automatically at specific times, on the Home screen or in a folder, click the Power Off icon. If you want your smartphone to stay turned off until you turn it on again, click Full Power Off. If you want your smartphone to turn on again at the specified time or for alarm or calendar reminders, click Turn Off.

Don't the device off. There's really no reason to do so. But it want to turn it off... I've never seen one take 15 minutes to boot up. Never. Perhaps yours does.

You mean from 120 "down to 0" I guess. Not up.
Correct, the powered on, battery pull is the proper way JAVA OS devices are designed. BlackBerry didn't create or invent "JAVA", but that's THE way "garbage" is deleted and removed from the device.

Why are using it if you hate it so bad?

What country?
Oh, regarding stupidity and your ranting about stupid engineering: You have your mobile phone number listed as your "My Mobile Provider" or carrier. Putting your phone number out on the internet on these public forums for the world to see, is not wise. To change that, at the top of this page click on My Settings > Personal Profile > Personal Information, and in the entry block for "Carrier" type the name of your mobile provider.
If you came to this forum only rant and call people stupid, you've accomplished that goal.
If you need help with the device, please ask, This is a user-to-user community support forum. We are not RIM employees, but volunteers who enjoy assisting other users. RIM personnel rarely comment on queries posted here. You would have noticed this in the message upon registration. We are users just like you (well, maybe not quite as mad), but we'd be happy to help you with your 9810 if you can ask politely and be kind.
I'll add these links also for you, since it appears you may not have read or used the online manual (for finding things such as the power down key).

After the firmware upgrade last week, the local WIFI networks pop up when I turn on my phone, I have WIFI turned off, how do I turn off the pop up?

What OS X version are you using?
Can you take a screenshot of the pop-up notification?
To take a screenshot hold ⌘ Shift 4 to create a selection crosshair. Click and hold while you drag the crosshair over the area you wish to capture and then release the mouse button. You will hear a "camera shutter" sound. This will deposit a screenshot on your Desktop.
If you can't find it on your Desktop look in your Documents or Downloads folder.
If you want to attach a screenshot to a response here, click the "camera" icon above the text field:
This will display a dialog box which enables you to choose the screenshot file (remember it's on your Desktop) and click the Insert Image button.
⌘ Shift 4 and then pressing the space bar captures the window the cursor is on.
⌘ Shift 3 captures the entire screen.

you do have to actually define the area to be bounced in the dialogue window that comes up - there are some discrepencies in the way that the program behaves like that,
Apart from the "Include Audio Tail" function, which can leave Logic bouncing for a very, very long time, there are generally, no discrepancies regarding the Bounce Locators:
If Cycle is enabled, the bounce locators will be set to the cycle locators.
If Cycle is off, and regions are selected, the bounce locators will be set to the selection.
If cycle is off, and no regions are selected, the bounce locators will be set from the Project Start to the project end.
It is smart to actually check that the bounce locators are set where you would like them to be.

If you get caught with a bounce that does not stop, Command . (period) should do the trick.

when I Share my project using QuickTime the top of my video is chopped off, how do i fix this?

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running?
    - Mac OSX; Premier Elements 11 v11
Where is the audio in the project - numbered audio tracks, Narration Track, and/or Soundtrack? Any chance that you are using a XviD.avi file?
    - audio is either in the soundtrack , or in audio 2 when part of a video
Besides the full properties of your source file including file extension, what are the full export settings that you are using presumably for Publish+Share/Computer/MPEG?
    - i was just using the default for MPEG, which is the NTSC DVD standard, file type MPEG2-DVD
What player are you using? Does the file playback video and audio using the VLC player? Does the problem exist in a new project?
    - i have tried in quicktime and VLC, both have the same effect (picture works, staccato background noise).  I have not tried in another file, but will do so now.

If it continues to show the connect to iTunes graphic, then you do have to restore the phone. If you have not created a backup of your phone, then I hope you use icould because this will erase all of the info on the phone.

  • My iPhone 4 service always go off how can I service

My iPhone 4 service always go off how can I solve?

    Hey there,
It sounds like your phone is constantly losing connection to your cellular provider. I recommend these troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:
    iPhone: Troubleshooting No Service
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4429
Turn iPhone off and then on again.
Remove the SIM card and verify that it's a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it isn't damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Check for a carrier-settings update. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. Then tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, iOS will ask you if you want to install it. If Wi-Fi isn't available, connect your device to iTunes.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
    Restore the iPhone.
If you're still experiencing No Service issues, contact your carrier to check for any network or account issues that could cause these symptoms.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

  • I want to listen to itunes through my 5.1 amp on apple tv but sound stops when tv is switched off how can I stop this?

I want to listen to itunes through my 5.1 amp thru apple tv but the sound stops when when my television is switched off how can I stop this?
All I want to be on is my PC and my amp connected thru ATV via optical linkl

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Yes there have been a number of reports posted about this, it seems different people experience different results here with some finding the same as you, some finding that it won't work at all with the TV turned off and some finding that if music is sent from iTunes on the mac/pc that as long as the TV is on when the stream starts, the TV can be turned off afterwards.
My assumption here is that it depends on the TV itself, although that probably doesn't help all that much.

  • TS3276 cannot receive or send mail, server off line "ssl off" how do I turn ssl on?

Cannot receive or send mail.  Server off line  "ssl off " . how do I turn on ssl?

    Hello there, gillaf.
To turn adjust your SSL settings the following Knowledge Base article will be of assistance:
Mac OS X Mail: About Secure Email Communications (SSL)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TA25586
    Setting up Mail for SSL
Important: These steps require Mac OS X 10.1.3 or later.
    1. Open the Mail application.
    2. Choose Preferences from the Mail application menu.
    3. Click Accounts.
    4. Select an account name, and click Edit.
    5. Click the Account Options tab.
    6. Click the Use SSL checkbox to enable this option.
Selecting the checkbox will auto-populate the default port numbers. If there is a non-default port number already present, it will not change. You can manually enter a number if your ISP gave you a different port number. Be sure you enter the correct port for your mail server here when selecting SSL, even if it auto-populates a default number.
Note: If SSL is accidentally set up when it should not be, or is configured using the incorrect port for your mail server, an alert box with a message similar to this may appear:
"Fetch Error: Couldn't connect to a POP host name mail.apple.com."
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.
