BB Passport charging times

Whilst plugged in to my USB, the passport has been charging all day and only achieved 75% charge. I have been using it syncing data etc during this time but even without use, it was showing 2 hours left of charging time. I've taken it out of the USB as it almost felt it was never going to get there and am now using a wall plug charge and its showing 45mins to complete the final 15%. Any views on this?

Some PCs when using a USB CHARGE ONLY cable can charge it faster if your PC BIOS supports it.
Most dont bother with it as you will mix up the cables with others and not be able to use a CHARGE ONLY cable for sync/backups
I have used a PlayBook USB charger rated at 1800 ma to change all my previous BlackBerry devices in past 3.5 years with no ill effect.
Lithium technology has come a long way

  • Yoga 8 and 10 Tablets - KitKat 4.4.2 - Charging Time

After upgrading to KitKat 4.4.2, some customers report their Yoga 8 or 10 tablets (B6000-F/H or B8000-F/H) may take longer to charge while OFF, than it does while ON. Some users report double the time to charge when device is on.
10/15 EDIT: Adding in the LED light not turning off when tablet is fully charged as it may be related. Also adding in hot battery physically warm to touch.
These reports originated from this thread: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Idea-Android-based-Tablets/KitKat-roll-out-for-Yoga-Tablets-starting-Jun...
I was personally unable to reproduce these reports so I am looking for some information. Could I get some feedback from 3+ people? I am looking for the following:
    Yoga 8 or 10 tablet
    30 minutes on charged X%
    30 minutes off charged Y%

  • Is there a way to view how much charging time is left when charging iPod?

Is there a way to view how much charging time is left when charging our iPods (without having to disconnect and play a song to see the little battery icon)? The iBooks tell us the percentage and approximate time left to full charge. This would be a great feature for iPods as well, right? How can we suggest such a feature to the Mac techs for the next update?
    5th Generation iPod, iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

determining an ipods estimated remaining battery life is difficult because it doesnt know how long the backlight will stay on, how many times you change a songs, etc.
those are all variables that change the amount of battery

  • I have been using a WD Passport with Time Machine on my iMac.  Since I upgraded to Mavericks, the backup no longer works.  What do I need to do?

I have been using a WD Passport with Time Machine on my iMac.  Since I upgraded to Mavericks, the backup no longer works.  What do I need to do?
I assume that upgrading the WD SmartWare is irrelevant as it is not being used.  Should I upgrade just as a precaution?
One complication is that I have renamed my user since the last time I backed up.

the problem is with the WD Passport drives.   I also have one, and since upgrading to 10.9 I can no longer use mine either.  See if this solution works for you: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23943103#23943103

  • What is the Charging time for 4th generation iPad when fully discharged?

    Hi,
I just want to know the 4th generation iPad charging time with 12 volts Charger when fully discharged?
    Thanks,
    Srinivas

Apple does not publish charging times with various sources, but usually a few hours, like 4-6 hours.  If you charge it overnight you won't notice how long it takes.

  • 2pin (USA) and 3pin (UK) Charger: Charging time differences. Need help.

I had my iPhone 3Gs imported from USA. It is unlocked from AT&T, but thats not the point. I got the Apple original 2pin charger with it.
Now, I have recently got a new iPhone 4, imported from UK. It comes it an original Apple 3pin charger, as common in UK.
In my country, I can use both types of chargers. As far as I know, both supply the same amount of power. The thing is: my iPhone 4 (3pin) charger takes around 5hours to charge my phone from 10-100%. The battery lasts for a day at most. Now if I use my 3Gs charger (2pin) with my iPhone 4, it charges incredibly fast. From 10-100%, it takes an hour and a half at most. The battery lasts for a day with this charger as well.
Now, my question: is there any difference in the amount of power supplied from both chargers? Will using the 2pin (original) charger with my iPhone 4 somewhat damage it? Like excess current short circuiting the internal power supply or whatnot? Because I like the battery to get charged quickly, but I cant risk short circuiting it (there's no Apple Store around my place for miles, so I cant take my iPhone to one in case I damage it.)
    Experts please help. Thanks.

A charging time of about an hour and a half to go from 10-100% doesn't seem to be unreasonable.  My figures are based on using the iPhone charger.  Using an iPad charger will charge the battery quicker, but I have not done any time testing using my iPad charger.  This is because the iPad charger can put out 2.1 amps as opposed to the iPhone charger that puts out 1 amp.  Using a charger that puts out more amps than required shouldn't hurt your iPhone since the iPhone should limit the amount of amps it draws.
5 hours to charge your iPhone seems slow.  Does the 3 pin charger say it outputs 5v, 1 amp?

  • IPad 4G charging time

    Hello,
I'm going to buy an iPad 4G WiFi the next week. But I'd like to know the charging time, because the six hours that the 3G takes is too long!
Does it takes 4 hours like the iPad 2 or longer?
I mean charging time without using the iPad.
    Thanks and greetings from Spain!

Two hours! It takes my iPad 3 about 5-6 hours for a full charge from about 5% on the battery indicator. This is using the power adapter and plugged into a wall socket.
You have the super iPad3 power adapter I suppose.
Believe it or not, my iPad 3 doesn't take more than 2 hours to charge. I bought it on Oct 3rd, perhaps Apple gave me a lemon
I can even post a video if you're curious.

  • What is the Full Charging time of asha 305

i want to know in how much time its get full chargedup from  0 to 100

don't have 305 so don't know it's charging time. one thing that I have noticed is that USB charging is a lot slower than using the real charger (round plugin). 4hours sounds really long time, my x3-02 charges up within a hour or so (haven't really measured)

  • Normal charging time

    Hey!
Please could you help to know which is the normal charging time that is supposed to have the iPhone 5 , my IPhone charges to 100% after being an hour plugged in ,so I don't know how many time should I really charge it even if it appears 100% after just only one hour  ,so please if you could help me , I would really appreciate it . :)

I don't have an iPad Air. I Have the iPad 3rd generation. It takes about 6 hours to charge it completely from around 10% left on the battery. My iPad is now almost 2-1/2 years old. Taking 5 hours to charge the remaining 60% seems a little excessive to me, but the strangest things can cause settings and apps and to run amuck. That might be an incorrect reading that you are getting. I would just plug the iPad in and see how long it really takes. Some of those system status apps can be a little unreliable at times.

  • HT5423 How many hours is the charging time of the iPad 4th gen?

I am charging my ipad, & noticed that its been 9 hours & still its 90 percent. I just wanna know, how many hours is the charging time of an iPad before it gets 100% full? & is it normal that the charger become hot? Hope someone can answer this question. Thank u.

Chargers, and the unit being charged where the battery is located, will get warm during charging...charging does work on the battery.  If it is hot or too hot to handle then you need to decide if it is too uncomfortable and needs to be checked at the Apple store genius bar.
Nine hours is a long time to charge, but if you discharged all the way it can take 4-8 hours to fully charge.
If the charger is getting very hot and taking a long time to charge you may want to take it to the genius bar and have it checked by the techs.

  • Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (K920) battery charging time

    Hello everyone,
I wonder, if anyone could help me, please.
I'm experiencing an interesting issue related to battery charging procedure of brand-new Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (K920).
The thing is, the first two battery charging procedures took about let say 2 hours 40 minutes both.
But the third battery charging procedure took about 3 hours and 10 minutes exactly!, which I consider to be rather strange, mostly because of web reviews of this smartphone, where 2 hours and 30 minutes typical charging time is described.
I understand the fact that brand-new battery has to be initially "formatted" and it's capacity is therefore gradually increasing after few battery charging attempts.
Needles to say, after that third battery charging procedure, the battery life has been also significantly improved. I use genuine Lenovo charger which comes with the phone in the box. The only thing, which I changed since first two battery charging procedures, was turning ON "Core efficiency" in the Lenovo Battery Manager.
Could it be the reason of such extended battery charging time or is it perfectly normal bacause of gradually improving capacity for brand-new battery? Could it be defective battery? Has anyone of the owners the same experience or what is yours typical battery charging time using in-box charger?
Thanks in advance for any advice, suggestion, explanation.
    Martin

  • Official Sony Bluetooth Headset for PS3 charging time?

I was using my Sony PS3 Bluetooth Headset today and it needed to charge. Like anyone would do I took the cable and plugged it into the wall using. I plugged it in at noon. It is now 10:41 PM and it is still showing a red light meaning it is still charging. Is this normal? I bought it a few months ago and only charged it maybe 10 times, none as long as this one. My normal charging time is around 2-3 hours.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums.

  • Whats the average charging time for the ipad air?

just charged a new ipad air for the first time and it took 11 hours, is that normal???

You can increase the speed of the charge if you turn off all Blue Tooth and Wi-fy and leave it in Air plane mode. It really made a huge difference in my charging time, even if I was reading a book on it. If you don't need Blue Tooth leave it off.
