BB- pearl 8100 - JVM error 547

Hi,
I have Blackberry 8100 pearl model, it is giving me following error message ( even after hard restart, this msg appears  as soon as i insert the battery):
JVM ERROR 547
flash write failed: p=827a0000,s=4.
I downloaded the version 4.2.2 desktop manager from the below link:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
After installing the new DTM ver 4.2.2, I performed the points mentioned in this link
 http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10144&sliceId=SAL_Pub...
But when i try this , it fails in step 4, that is, I am not able to see any applications listed. It is displaying this message:
" The BlackBerry desktop software does not have BlackBerry Device software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator."
I have not taken any back up of my phone, so i dont want to loose my data esp the contact list and messages. Earlier I had version 4.2.0.10 deskop manager now even after upgrading it to 4.2.2 it didnt help .
I also tried selecting secure mode and reset but it didnt help.
Please help me to recover. I shall be extremely thankfull.
PS:  I am new to this forum, not sure If I am posting at right place, please redirect me to the correct thread if I am wrong.

Hello jamin
The first thing here is that your data is most likely already lost
Second, have you downloaded your device software?  The device software is different from the
Desktop Manager software.
If you have not downloaded your device software you will need to do this and
install it on the computer.  I suspect
this is the reason you are getting  " The BlackBerry desktop software
does not have BlackBerry Device software for the device that you have connected
to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system
administrator."
To get the device software you will need to go back to the carrier site and
download it.
If you tell me who your carrier is I can get you the download link.
Once you have the device software you are going to want to follow the below
KB article

Hope to hear from you soon!

  • JVM Error 547 - Can't load OS

I have a Blackberry 8120 and it keeps getting the JVM Error 547 with the only option to reset. I tried loading a fresh install of the OS but it get's to the point of loading the first .cod file and it resets itself. I've also tried using just the app loader and not the Desktop Manager but get the same problem. I've tried downgrading the OS but get the same problem. I've also tried a custom app called "BBSAK" but I get the same problem.
Help! I've searched the net and tried a bunch of things but nothing seems to work! Is the blackberry fried?

Turns out it was the ribbon.

  • JVM Error 547 - Flash Write Failed

Hi, i got the 547 error after a long way of many other errors, it start by installing a new app using the stupid DM and my BB restart after the installation and i got 507 error, which mean no software, so i doubt it and tried to pull the battery, sim card and SD, wait for some time, return the battery, and 561 error was there, tried again and nothing
after search on crackberry and blackberry forums, talking about JL and BBSAK, used both to wipe and re-install the OS again,
of course i remove the vendor.xml from common files and user "document and settings" folders
during the installation it load until the net_rim_cldc.cod and restart on its own, and the loader give an error not able to connect again, so i wait until my phone restart with error 507 and click on retry, it stupidly erase every thing again instead of continue from the stop point and it reach the same point and restart, so i fall in a loop
i tried to delay the net_rim_cldc.cod to the end by changing the Platform.alx, and i tried to cancel this file from Platform.alx and it stuck with the truetype font.cod
i remove this OS and i tried to download from a different service provider, "again of course i remove the two files for vendor.xml" but no use
then i used the BBSAK to add manually all the basic files which is 220 modules, and i left the net_rim_cldc.cod to the end, suddenly my phone try to start and keep restarting every 2 minutes, and after several attempts is give me the JVM Error 547 "flash write failed"
no i cannot connect to BBSAK, the only way is to connect to the loader without battery and wait until it finish erasing then i can connect to JL to wipe or BBSAK
but then what?? i will end up between BB apploader which cannot finish the installation and BBSAK which can put the 220 files in 220 steps and the phone will not load
now, any BB genius can help??

  • Pearl 8100 ATT

Please help!I get a JVM error 547 flash write failed. I have not backed up my device. How do I either uninstall and re-install all apps or resolve this issue. I can't even turn off my phone nor navigate on it. Thanks.

Remove and reload the OS totally.
Providing you have the latest device OS for your carrier..
*YOU DO NOT NEED TO ALSO DOWNLOAD DESKTOP MANAGER PROGRAM* - JUST THE DEVICE SOFTWARE*
go to C Drive: Program file: Common Files: Research in Motion: App Loader :  Loader.exe and run that file...
Go to device application selection and untick anything you dont need.
    Click Next
I would not reccommended backup and restore. (If you are running a BES, everything should be on your pc anyway) But if you must, then do a backup)
When you get to the last page before you select 'finish' you should see an Advance Options. Click this and make sure both checkboxes are ticked.. This removes and replaces any bugs or glithces in the software.
You must make sure you have the LATEST version for your device, distributed by THE CARRIER THE DEVICE WAS MADE WITH. (Find this on the carriers website
If you're not sure, do a vendor ID check.
If your issue is resolved, put a checkmark in the green box that contains the resolution.

  • JVM error 545 in 8100 emulator

    Hi all,
When i run my application I get an error as JVM error 545 incompatible or corrupt file types.....
Can anyone please tell me how to solve this.......

unfortunatley, from my experience, the only salvation from a jvm error is to reload the phones operating system.  I would recomend backing up the phone, and then reloading software which can usually be attained in the phones box or from your carriers website.  I would also recommend doing this with your phone carriers technical support team on the line with you if at all possible.

  • BB Pearl - 8100 Bluetooth: "Unable to locate Object Push Server..."

I just purchased a New 2009 Audi A4 that has Bluetooth, however my Blackberry Pearl (8100) does not correctly transfer the Phonebook.  Based on what I've read on various message boards, I should be happy it at least functions to make & receive calls, however when I try to sync the phonebook, I receive an Error:  "Unable to locate Object Push Server..."
My BB Pearl has the following OS Version - 4.2.1.96 (Platform 2.3.0.78).
Based on the Official Audi Documentation, Research In Motion (RIM), Blackberry 8100 (Pearl), GSM, 4.2.0.51 was certified to work with the car.  I assume (maybe incorrectly) since I'm at a higher version, I should be ok.  I reviewed and have tried several options below, however have not been successful.
    1.  Turn on Car & Pair, disconnect Phone, then Reconnect and manually "Transfer Contacts"
    2.  Move Contacts into a Specific Category, then in the Bluetooth Menu just sync that particular category...manually " Transfer Contacts"
    3.  Disable Encryption & manually "Transfer Contacts" In my Bluetooth menu, it says the following Bluetooth Options are available:
    Discoverable: Yes
    Allow Outgoing Calls: Always
    Address Book Transfer:  All Entries
    Led Indicator:  On
    Services
    - Headset
    - Handsfree
    - Dial-Up Networking
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,- Nick

I too have a 2009 A4 Avant Audi - initially the BB and car paired beautifully, but after two weeks the phonebook would no longer transfer.  I managed to solve the problem by deleting the call log.  the BB keeps a lot of history and it seems as if over time, the memory get clogged, preventing the transfer of the telephone book.  On trying to doing it manually, you then get the unable to locate object push server.  Try it, it worked for me

    Hi!
I have problems to sync my bb pearl 8100 with my macbook pro (Intel, Leopard 10.5.5).
I installed PocketMac, restart, opened the programm.
The i want to change the settings "Advanve Pref" of AdressBook etc.
After i click on the "Pref" Button, my mac says for example "Prgramm ABRimContacts crashes"...ignore, report, start new.
I hope u understand my main problem.
    Please help me!
    Chris

This shouldn't happen! There is no reason that one device (8800) will work and other (8100) will not. Please confirm the OS version on both of the handheld. Are you getting any sort or error messages?
