BB says my phone wasn't purchased from Amazon

I have a new BB Classic that I purchased from Amazon and submitted a support request online.  First BB wouldn't accept my support request without a PIN and it took me over an hour to find the Device PIN.  Now I've submitted a request with my PIN, but BB says their records indicate I didn't purchase the device from Amazon.  I can prove that I did purchase it from Amazon, but BB doesn't offer a way to do that. 
I'm at the point where I'm about to return the phone.  I've waited several years for BB to get their act together and come out with a decent replacement to the Bold, but the lack of support is driving me crazy.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

It is VERY easy to find the PIN of your BlackBerry.
on the white sticker under back cover.

At Settings > About on your device.
by typing 'mypin' in any text entry area on the device, such as in an email or SMS message or note.
You should push this issue with BlackBerry and Amazon IF you are certain you purchased direct from Amazon and not from a third party private seller on Amazon.

    I just downloaded an old version of iDVD from a disc I purchased from Amazon.  I downloaded only the iDVD portion of the disc.  Now when I go to open my new version of iPhoto, I get a message that I cannot open the application because it may be damaged or incomplete.  What can I do to get this resolved?

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
    2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
    2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
    A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
    If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
    If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
    If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

    I am trying to get the serial number so that I can have the permanent version of the Adobe XI that I purchased from Amazon.  Does anybody know how Adobe alerts a buyer to this info?  I purchased the software as a Download so do not have a box.

    Thanks for the welcome Karsten! I’ve checked the installer disks – which appear to have all the main pieces of software, but not iDVD. If you or anyone knows where it might be hidden that would be great. Thanks for all the other info too!
    Thanks Lennart – I don’t think my computer could support iLife ’05 as it is running Mac OSX 10.3.2 and I’ve just been looking at its system requirements which state it requires 10.3.4 minimum – if you know differently, please let me know. As an alternative I have considered getting iLife ’04, but your comment about iLife ’05 being the first version to support external drives worried me (“iDVD 5 is the first iDVD version that officially supports external burners“ does this mean there is an unofficial option for iLife ‘04? Perhaps a patch similar to the one mentioned by Karsten), does that mean iLife ’04 would not support an external Lacie DVD writer?
    What is the earliest version of Toast I’d be able to use (as a money saving option!)?

    Anyone having problems lately uploading music purchased from amazon onto your ipods?  this is a recent experience for me.  I had been able to do it until a few weeks ago.

    There have been a handful of report over the last couple of weeks for other users who have starting getting error messages when trying to sync their Amazon purchases to their iPod from iTunes.
    Most of them are getting a -50 error.  If that is the case for you, see this older thread for a couple of solutions that worked for some other users.

  • I deleted iTunes from my PC, is there any way i can sync my phone to a newly downloaded iTunes without losing my music that wasn't purchased from iTunes?

    BACK-STORY
    I recently was given a new iPhone 4S from the Apple Store, I synced it to my PC when I got home and got everything back.I had to uninstall a download of windows 8.1 back to the original windows 8 in order to install an anti-virus software. The only way to uninstall Windows 8.1 is basically a factory reset, by doing so I lost everything that wasn't saved in cloud or external drive.I downloaded iTunes again, signed in and the only thing I could find was the music that I purchased from iTunes. I don't want to connect my phone to the iTunes I just downloaded,because I think I'm going to lose all the music that's already on there, minus the music I bought from iTunes. It's a lot of albums and it took me a while to collect them all too.
    WHAT I WOULD LIKE HELP WITH PLEASE
    Can I transfer the music on my phone to some type of storage?
    USB memory drive
    Cloud ex. Skydrive, Google Drive, Dropbox etc
    Store somewhere on my PC. (I know I can't sync from my iPhone to iTunes.)
    If it is at all possible to store the music that's already on my iPhone using another method,such as the ones I've mentioned or haven't,can I then transfer it to iTunes?
    If there is no way to save my iPhone's music library, then when I rebuild it is there a way to store it, that if the same thing was to happen I wouldn't have to go through this process?
    Also, any other tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Is it possible to transfer a book from my ipod wasn't purchased from itunes to my computer?

    I have a book on my ipod that's taking up a lot of space, but I'd like to keep it. I've tried connecting the ipod touch to my computer opening itunes and clicking transfer purchases and that doesn't work because it wasn't purchased in itunes.  I've also closed itunes then found the ipod touch under my computer, clicked on it, and tried to find the content.  The only thing that appears is my pictures.  Is there another way to transfer this book or do I just lose it.  I've found that I can't transfer anything from my ipod to my computer unless it was purchased in itunes.  I can buy Amazon songs and things and transfer them to my ipod, but can't transfer anything back to my computer.  What am I doing wrong or can it just not be done?  Sometimes I wish I didn't own an apple product because they're so frustrating!

    So I just got a new laptop,
    I downloaded iTunes
    I Authorized the computer and all that,
    I transported my purchases from my account and all went well,
    But I just want to know if it's possible to take the music from my iPod Touch 4 and put in on the laptops iTunes library?

    The songs that I have on the iPod aren't from the iTunes Store and I've been looking for ways to try different things but nothing is working
    I don't even care if the steps are complicated or if it will takes a couple days or if I have to download the songs one at a time, I just NEED to figure this out

  • Bought from Amazon, Phone Broke, now Blackberry Site says I did not buy it from Amazon

    I bought a Blackberry Classic from Amazon new in December. Sadly, it broke. When I go to Blackberry site to register for warranty repair, the site tells me that, based on the PIN, I did not buy the phone from Amazon. I have proof that I did with the dated order number.
    How can I contact Blackberry???

    I suggest you go back to Amazon and register with them for a Warranty Repair. If they will not repair it and instead direct you to BlackBerry, get Amazon to give you the BlackBerry contact details. Good luck!

  • How do i add a mp3 file purchased from amazon to show on my iPhone iTunes library?

    i purchased an mp3 file from amazon and added it to my itunes library on the imac. However, when i synced my iphone, the mp3 file (song) does not show on the itunes library. What could I be doing wrong?

    1. Right mouse click the song in music library you want to create ringtone and choose “Get Info”
    2. Choose “Option” Tab, Check “Start Time” & Stop Time” of the track you want to make into ringtone and put in your start time and end time (Max 40 secs duration), then click OK
    3. Right mouse click the mp3 again and choose “Create AAC Version”
    4. You will see a copy of song with same name appeared but with 40sec duration only. Now drag the song onto your desktop and you will see the name is now xxxxxx.m4a.
    5. Change the file extension m4a into m4r from the desktop
    6. Delete the 40sec m4a file from the music library (You must do this step or Itune will not accept your new m4r file).
    7. *Important - Now uncheck the start & stop time of the original song so that you can play back full length.
    8. Now, drag the m4r file from desktop to Library
    9. Click onto the Tones under Library, and you find you ringone file.
    Note: Just in case you cannot "Create AAC version" from Step 3, go to top menu, click "Edit", "Preference". Under "general" Tab, click "Import Settings", make sure under Import Using that "AAC Encoder" is selected.

  • Why is the MP3 that is purchased from Amazon different when it is imported?

    I purchased several MP3's from Amazon. They are automatically imported into iTunes by the Amazon MP3 Downloader.
    However I noticed that though the file sizes are the same the MP3's that are saved in the iTunes Media folder are different.
    Does anyone know why? Seems curious that there should be any difference.

    I'm not entirely clear what the problem is. iTunes may report the size of the file in a slightly different way from Amazon or Windows Explorer. Depending on your settings in the Amazon downloader and iTunes when the files are added to iTunes they may be the original files that were downloaded, or copied made by the iTunes import routine. If you get Amazon to download the files to the *Automatically add to iTunes* folder but not import them into iTunes then iTunes will do it automatically without creating any duplicates.

    I downloaded the Kindle app to my IPAD and purchased a book from Amazon. How do I retrieve it?

    Have you set up the Kindle app with your Amazon userid and password?  If so the title of any books you have purchased should show up in the app with a downward pointing arrow on the bottom righ hand corner of the book.  Click this arrow to download the contents of the book.
    Update... I'm using Cloud so maybe it works differently.
    Further update...  A quick search found the Amazon instructions on how to do it.

    I'm about to buy a 64gb iPad Air and noticed that they're selling on Amazon for roughly £100 less than they cost if I bought it direct from Apple. If I bought the iPad from Amazon, would I still be able to buy AppleCare for it online or in the Apple store, as if I'd bought it from the proper Apple store?

    If it's AppleCare+ you mean, it doesn't matter where you buy the iPad, but it APP+ needs to be bought within 30 days of buying the iPad.  You need to buy it over the phone at the Apple store.
