BB Tour 9630 battery keeps draining

I'm having a problem with my Tour 9630 battery draining. When it first started was shortly after installing an animated theme, which I deleted later. That solved the draining problem for about 2 days and then the battery started draining again. I have deleted a number of apps that I thought might have been the culprits but the problem is still on going. The battery will drain even if I power off the phone. I took the phone and battery to the Verizon store where I purchased the Tour where they checked the phone and battery and said everything looked ok, they recommended doing a battery pull and see what happens. I pulled the battery and that stops the draining until I use the phone and then the draining starts again. As it is now at night I power off the phone and put it on the charger but it usually will drain when I have the phone holstered during the day. Does anybody have any ideas what might be happening and how I might fix this problem?

Hello Jon,
In this particular case I would recommend performing a clean reload of the BlackBerry Smartphone software.
First step would be to create a back up of your BlackBerry. To do this please open BlackBerry Desktop Manager Software and connect your BlackBerry Smartphone. Then click on Back Up and Restore Icon and select Back up. Make sure to note the location of the back up as we will require to access it to restore data after the reload process is complete.
Once the BlackBerry Smartphone is backed up please follow the attached knowledge base article to reload the software on your BlackBerry Smartphone.

Upon completing the reload of the software I would ask that you monitor the devices battery levels prior to doing a restore of the backed up data. If you synchronize the BlackBerry Smartphone you can resync to get your organizer data back on the device.

My battery keeps draining

The battery in my iphone 4S keeps draining drastically. I'll have a full charge when I go to bed, but then it's dead in the morning. totally dead! Also, I had problems installing the last operating system updates on i-tunes, and it took me 3 tries to restore my phone again.
My phone is still under warranty, so I will be calling Apple about it, but I was wondering if anyone else had this experience, and what the result/fix was?

That is too fast. I would try the standard fixes:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup
- Restore the iPod to factory defults/new iPod.
If still drains as fast I would make an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store.

Battery keeps draining with clamshell is shut with OS X Mavericks and wi-fi dropping.

I have seen numerous ariticles of folks having issues after an upgrade with their battery. When the clamshell is closed and you come back a few hours later your battery is drained. This is after making sure all apps are closed and checking energy savings settings. Reverted back to 10.8.5 and had no issues battery issues. My model Late 2012 Macbook Pro Retina. In addition when streaming movies from Vudu, with mavericks it would periodically drop connection. Again reverted back and no issues.
Any one have any ideas on this one?

LG Cosmos battery keeps draining

My daughter has been complaining and I have ignored her / asked her to recharge.
Yesterday I used it myself and upon full charge, battery drains in < 12 hrs without any usage.
I have an identical one and has been fine.
What is the next step - I really would like to get this fixed/replaced. I am paying monthly for

Everytime, when I locked my phone the battery keeps draining. I had background app refresh off, i fetch hourly to my email, I am using still wallpapers and even making some of my app notifications not show in the lock screen and getting rid of the apps in the background everytime before locking my phone. The issue is probably specific to your iPhone:
Something may have gone amiss in the upgrade to iOS 6.1.3 on your iPhone.
To correct this follow these steps:
Backup your iPhone using iTunes or iCloud.
Use iTunes to completely restore your iPhone as new.
Setup your iPhone and monitor battery usage to see if it is normal. If not, you may have a hardware problem - if so, contact Apple support.
Restore your iPhone from your backup above.
Check battery usage to confirm that it remains normal.

Did you already reset your device by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?
Also try to delete the mail account in case you're using push/fetch to get your mail. There have been cases in which mail didn't stop connecting to the server, causing the battery drain.

How can I keep Guided Access going after battery is drained?

I sometimes put my son's iPod into Guided Access mode so he can listen to music, but not play games (i.e. at bedtime). He discovered that he can defeat Guided Access by draining the battery completely. He has an iPod Touch MD057LL/A (iOS 6.1.6).
Has anyone else encountered this weakness in the Guided Access feature? Does anyone know how to fix it?

The good news. Congrats, you have a smart kid. The bad news. That's a loophole he exploited. There is no fix currently. In fact, he can just disable it by holding the home and sleep/wake buttons until he sees the Apple logo to do a reboot. It's only a matter of time before he figures that one out and doesn't have to wait for the battery to drain.

Iphone 4 battery sometimes drains fast -- problem with Mail app?

My iphone 4 battery often drains too quickly, and I wonder if it has something to do with my Mail App.
When my phone is not playing nice, it drains at least 20% overnight while on Standby, and from 100% to 30% in around 6 hours when I use it during the day. I found a fix (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=11775150) that basically says to wipe your mail account and set it up again.
This fix works, but only temporarily for me. I find that I have to keep resetting my mail every few days to get back to "normal battery" where it barely drains overnight. I only use one email account (gmail) -- could there be something going on there?
Oh, and when my battery drains fast, nothing changes when I turn off WiFi, notifications, push, etc. I usually have my mail refresh hourly.
Has anyone had this experience?

Why does my fully charged iPad 2 battery keep dying at 50% charge? I have updated to iOS 7 and this started happening. What could be the cause of it?

For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

My jetpack won't charge. I only use the cable that came with it. and by won't charge, I mean even when plugged in the battery keeps dropping and never goes up.

My MiFi jetpack 6620 doesn't charge. I've plugged it into the charger that comes with it, and only that charger. But nothing happens. The battery keeps getting drained. I first attempted when it was at 16%. After being on the charger a few hours, it dropped to 15%, then 14%. I'm currently at 12%. I've tried different outlets at different locations. And I've tested the charger cable on my phone and it charges that just fine. Which is more likely: the battery is defective or there is a problem with the jetpack itself? and the real kicker is that I've only had it for a week.

Keep iPhone on Wall Charger for 10 minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still OFF, keep on Wall Charger and Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, this can sometimes take about 20 seconds time of holding both buttons while on charger.
