BB Z10 Calender shows the wrong time

I just got my BB Z10 yesterday. The time zone is entered correctly, and the phone shows the correct time. However, my calendar seems to think that it's 1 hour later than it actually is. I entered an appointment for 9am, and when I looked at it on the day view, it showed up at 10am. Also, the red line (which I'm assuming is the current time) shows up an hour later than the actual time.  Help!!

Hey AndyLynneP,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
We will need to gather logs from the BlackBerry Z10 to find the root cause.  Please contact your network service provider and ask to be transferred to BlackBerry.
I appreciate your patience, I believe it's just a time zone coding issue.  But we need to investigate further.
Thanks.

  • My iphone 3gs has started showing the wrong time  and date. All was fine until this afternoon when it changed.  My apps have the right time and date. However the world clock is wrong. I have to turn off the automatic time setting to get the right time.

My iphone is showing the wrong time and date. All was well until sometime this afternoon when it changed...  to Nov 5 (2 days prior to today), and about 9 hours and some minutes before the actual time.  The world clock for my time zone shows the same wrong date and time. My calender shows the same wrong date and time.  The phone can not find my time zone any more.   The only fix I found was to turn off the automatic setting for time.  What is  happening? Ideas?

    just sorted mine went to
    settings-mail,contacts,calender-timezone support
then turned it off then on tapped time zone and typed london
    this did sort mine

  • XFCE's Clock shows the wrong time...

XFCE's clock shows the wrong time constantly (it always shows the GMT time), but whenever I run hwclock -r, it tells me the correct time. Can anyone help fix it?

Well, I think I found what was wrong at last. It seems that the timezone wasn't set in the rc.conf, even though the TZ variable was set. I changed it, but will have to restart in a bit to see if it works.

  • Why does Messages show the wrong time I received a text?

First of all, I use the version iOS 6.1.4, I do not like iOS 7 which is why I haven't updated it. Anyway, when I text someone and I get an Alert/Banner on my screen, it tells me the wrong time I received a text. It is off by a minute or two. It happens whether I'm texting someone without an iPhone (using SMS) and when I'm texting someone with an iPhone (using iMessage). Without upgrading to iOS 7, what can I do to resolve this issue? Just restart my phone?

I just reset my phone, so we'll see how that works. And honestly it really doesn't, if you were asking the general person. But I'm sort of weird and I like to create conversation logs from the texts I have with my close friends, and I record the times I send/receive each text, so if it's off by a couple minutes then it's off on my log. So I mean it isn't the end of the world, it just bothers my OCD a bit.

  • My iPhone always shows the wrong time

Stuff that I have tried, based on comments from various threads:
    -Resynced
    -Checked time zone
    -Turned on automatic set
    -Turned off automatic set
-Changed the time on the iPhone
-Checked the time on my pc
-Restarted iTunes while the iPhone was connected
    -Deleted previous backup
    -Deleted sync history
I am sick of being late for work.  Please help.

Who is your carrier is one question.  If you have auto time set on, then it gets it from the carrier.  And by doing so it gets it from the tower or repeater it connects to when it first gets a signal (and again when loses signal and gets signal again).  Some carriers have issues at some towers or repeaters that the clocks on them are off thus sending out wrong time, and in some countries it is even worse so that is why I ask where you live.
If auto time is set to off you should be able to just set it manually and it should be fine.  I myself am unsure if syncing alters the time any but may adjust timezone info so did you verify your computer has correct time zone as well.

  • HT4528 My Verizon iPhone 5 keeps showing the wrong time, I reset it and then it happens again later in the day.

For the past few weeks, my Verizon iPhone 5 randomly changes the time to some odd time (like when it is 1:30pm, my phone will switch to 2:08am). I go into settings and date and time, I turn "set automatically" to off then on again. The time resets and all is well for a while and then it usually happens again later. I wonder if it has anything to do with verizon's network. I seem to notice it happen when I go into areas that have no 3g or LTE service and the phone has that "o" setting for the internet. Could it be a network error issue?

If "Automatic" is on it probably has everything to do with Verizon. Try turning "automatic" off. If that fixes the problem it's Verizon. If it doesn't fix the problem it's likely a hardware problem in your phone.

  • IPhone 4 shuts down on its own all the time. Sometimes restarts without ability to make calls, receive emails, and the wrong time.  Only a restore fixes it.  What can I try?

So my iPhone had a broken screen and back for a while, which may have something to do with this.  I mean like missing peices.  I realize this leads to corrosion and I may have a broken iPhone but this is a really strange problem.  It's always shutting off on its own, sometimes in my pocket while locked and sometimes randomly while in use.   For example the other day this started happening everytime I started safari.  This happens all the time, I usually just restart it and it works for a while.   Sometimes after shutting off a few times in a row, after restarting it will show the wrong time, screws up phone calls and says that it cannot locate the gmail server, or something to that extent (won't load emails).   The phone calls are weird, I can't receive any.   Any calls that are made from the phone, go through on the other side and ring for them, but won't ring or make a connection on my side, also I can't end the call when this happens, it responds to me pressing end by fading the screen to that graytone color that it does before ending usually but stays on that screen whenever you go back to it, only disappearing after reseting.  Texts work, not in iMessage, and internet seems to work.   The only thing that fixes this condition is a restore. The iphone has been turning itself off over the last 3 months and its been getting progressively worse.  Recently its been pretty bad, and then the phone started to do all that weird stuff I've been talking about.  That started about 3 weeks ago and has happened 4 times, the last two times relatively close together.   This is really annoying and I can't afford to replace it.   Do I have to live with it?   What can I try?  Should I maybe replace the battery?  I took the panel off to look at it and the plastic around it was pitted possibly from being really hot.

Please don't respond with useless comments.  I've already addressed the fact that my screen was broken a few months ago.  My phone may or may not be broken beyond repair either way, as I said before I can't afford a new phone.  It's a strange problem because from what I can tell no one else has posted the same problem anywhere I can find.  Don't be a dickhole.

  • How can I get Messages to show the correct time for read receipts?

Messages in Mountain Lion shows the wrong time for read receipts. For example, my iPad will show a message was read at 3:37 pm but if I open Messages on my MacBook, the read receipt shows the time that I opened the Messages app as opposed to the time the message was actually read. This is not too much of an issue if my iPad is handy, but really, shouldn't Messages on my MacBook be able to show the correct time the message was read? It syncs all the other infromation with Messages on iOs.
I should mention that if Messages is running on my MacBook when the recipient reads the message, then it does show the correct time the message was read. It's if Messages was not running and I re-launch it that the read receipt time gets mixed up.

    HI,
As far as I am aware Messages marks or time stamps an iMessage at the time of receipt rather then the time you got around to reading it.
I will admit that in most cases reading and receiving as the app opens will be near enough the same time in some conversations.
Adding Time Stamps to Chat is what iChat has always done particularly with AIM based Chats.
The "Sync" in Messages is "display on all devices"  and after that each iMessages is dealth with separately on each device.
There is no syncing of deleting/dimssing an iMessages or having read it on another device.

  • Music scrollbar doesn't show the correct time

I have this really annoying problem on my Ihone 4. It doesn't happen all the time though. I always listen to audiobooks en aometimes when I have to take a call or whatever it will restart from 00:00 this is not the problem but when I then want to use the scrollbar to fastforward to where I was it will show the wrong time so basically the audiobook is normally 18:54 but when I scroll to 18:40 it will just be at the beginning of chapter 1. This is really annoying because you have to keep relistening to the first chapters.

I've had FCP lock up on me several times.  The cause seems to always be 1.  That I've got a ton of unrendered stills in the timeline, 2. The project is rather large, with a lot of old sequences.  FCP can only access so much ram.  Stills are only virtual media clips until you render them, but FCP had to create them and hold them in a cache until you do render them.  FCP remembers, IN ACTIVE RAM, every cut, transition, every sequence whether active or not, every filter used, audio levels, all the clip info itself-- and a bunch of stuff you or I will never know.
When you start reaching the limits of what FCP can handle, wonky stuff starts happening.

  • Why does the calender do not show the right time if you want to choose 10, 11, 12 o'clock or any other time with 1x:00?

Why does the calender do not show the right time if you want to choose 10, 11, 12 o'clock or any other time with 1x:00? It only shows 1:00 and there is no way to change the time to 1x:00.

Ok well you need to get your facts straight. You say the reason to upgrade to OS 4 but half of these have to do with the new iPhone 4 and not the OS. Two totally different issues

  • My Ipod is stuck on a white screen with the wrong time and a lock. computer doesn't recognized my Ipod..also gets hot when connected to charge..any ideas on how to fix this? Thank You

    Hi
My Ipod nana...has frozen up and working. It shows a white screen with the wrong time and a lock symbol. When I connected it to my computer, it didn't show up. Back of Ipod gets really warm..Any ideas on how to fix it? Than You

If it happens again and the reset (home + power buttons) doesn't work, just let the battery drain; you'll know when the screen shuts off. Charge it back up and it should be fine. Frankly, I'm surprised this worked for you. Usually I hear people with this problem say that holding both buttons doesn't work, and they have to do the battery drain.
If the issue is incurable next time, you have a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.

  • Clocks feature doesn't show the correct time

It's 11:30 pm here in Tokyo. I have clocks set for Boston and San Francisco, but they are showing the time off by an hour.
It's 10:30 am in Boston, right? But the clock says 9:30 am.
I have DST turned off because Japan doesn't have DST. I tried it with DST turned on also, but that didn't help. If I have the correct time set here, the wrong time shows in the U.S.
It's a world clock, but I think the algorithm is broken.
    doug

    Doug,
This is genuinely comical. I had time to kill so I called back tonight with my case number. A lovely lady answered and confirmed that "William" had walked through all the steps. She was going to get a "product specialist" from Cupertino.
It took five minutes but soon she was instant messaging to this product specialist, presumably in Cupertino, which is a mere 5 miles from me.
His first suggestion was to do nothing - In October California would come off DST, then I could change my Nano G3 and everything would be right. I asked my friend to tell the "specialist" that his first suggestion was unacceptable. I can't believe Apple is selling a product that is purposely WRONG six months a year.
His second suggestion was to take the Nano out of DST mode. Once again I asked my Bangalore friend to tell the Cupertino specialist all that did was make Singapore time correct and California time wrong. Also unacceptable.
Finally he offered that this might be a known bug, might be getting corrected as we speak, and that maybe a software update will be available soon.
I'm guessing this guy is a politician???
Anyway, the bottom line is there's nothing 800-APL-CARE can do or will do. Our only option is to wait for the software update that might come and might fix the problem.
Sorry, I don't know what else to try ...

  • AirDrop showing the wrong name and picture with iOS 7

AirDrop is showing the wrong name and picture on my wife's phone....It is showing my name and picture.  She has an iPhone 5 and I just updated her to iOS7 about an hour ago, same time as I did mine. Is it because we are connected with the same Apple ID and if so, how do I fix it?  She is annoyed by it and not seeing where I can change it in the settings is beginning to annoy me.  Help!

I don't think that's the issue.  I'm having the same problem.  My wife, my son, and I all use the same Apple ID, but we have different email addresses and phone numbers for facetime and imessage (we've never had an issue with imessage or facetime).  Today, I updated my phone and ipad to ios 7 and tried to experiment with airdrop.  On both devices it showed my son's name.  Then my son updated his ipad and we tested airdrop again.  His ipad shows up on my phone and ipad with his name as well.  The email address that I use for Apple ID is not associated with him on any device.  His name is not listed on our Apple ID account.  One of them shows his photo that he uses for his facebook profile, but the other's just have a gray circle with his first initial.  I'm hoping it's just a bug that will get fixed soon, but if anyone knows a fix, please share.

  • My calendar on iPad keeps showing the wrong month! When it is halfay through May for example on the top left it still says April!

My calendar on my iPad keeps showing the wrong month! When it is halfway through May for example on the top left it still says April!

    Hi GraphoPD,
If your iPad is showing the wrong date, follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue:
iOS: Troubleshooting issues with date and time - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203483
Learn the steps to take if your device has any of the following issues with the date and time.
    Incorrect date or time
Wrong time zone being set automatically
Issues related to automatically switching with daylight savings time
Follow these steps. Test after each step to see if the issue is resolved.
Ensure that the version of iOS on your device is up to date.
If the option to enable date and time automatically is available, turn it on. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
Ensure that your time zone is set up correctly. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone.
If the incorrect date, time, or time zone is being set up automatically on the device, please notify your cellular provider. In the meantime, tap General > Date & Time and turn off Set Automatically. Then set the appropriate time and time zone manually.
Note: The option to set automatically might not be available on all carriers in all countries.Learn more
Note: If you find that your device's time is incorrect after you sync with your computer, your computer's time may be incorrect. Verify the computer's time in System Preferences > Date & Time (you may want to select the checkbox to set the computer's date and time automatically).
