BB Z10 Email Delete Option

Is there a way to set up delete options on BB Z10 email accounts for delete from BB Z10 only or from both BB Z10 and laptop?  Bold has both options, BB Z10 deletes from both sources.

Dear ViciousFerret,
if I had some wishes for Christmas regarding the BB10 POP3-client, they would be:
- Option if the mails should be deleted on the server, if they are deleted on the Z10
- Option to auto-BCC the sent mails to my own mailaddress
- Option if the mails should be downloaded completely or just the header first
I have a desktop and a notebook besides the Z10 and my normal "workflow" is:
When I'm on the road, I'm sending my mails with my notebook and auto-BCC them to my mailaddress so that I have them again in my inbox. When I'm back home and download the mails with my desktop and everything that was sent by myself is sorted into the "sent" folder. So in the end, I have the complete communication on one machine, no matter from which device the mails were sent.
After my 3G traffic is limited, I'm downloading the headers first with the notebook and then I can decide if this mail is important and can it download manualy. Mails that are not so important can be deleted from my "mobile-inbox" and can be read later when downloaded on the desktop.
With the Z10, I have to add the BCC every time when I'm sending a mail. Otherwise these mail won't be in my archive. After a few days, my hub is full of notifications or other stuff that isn't prio-A when I'm on the road, but I can't delete them on the Z10 because then they will be gone...
In the end I have to disable the mail function on the Z10 because the chance is too big to screw up my mails :-(
To sum up the POP3-client: It is missing essential functions / options that a consumer without BES or ExchangeServer might need.
Best regards,
mfuhrmann

  • When I edit my emails, the delete option is no longer present.  No option is there at all?

I used to be able to delete emails by hitting edit, checking the circle and then htting the delete button would remove those emails.  Now when I hit edit there are no options on the screen to delete, move archive or anything.  What am I missing?
I just powered off and then ran it again and the delete option reappeared.

    Hi alvise625r,
Are you still facing this issue?
Pressing F9 key should bring back the menu bar. Also, if you have Kaspersky installed on your machine you might need to uninstall or downgrade as there is known conflict because of kaspersky:: Kaspersky Lab Forum > Bug: KIS version 15.0.0.463 patch B Acrobat Reader XI

How do you show reply, forward, and delete options in received email on Iphone 4

What IOS are you running on the phone?
When you open an email, at the bottom of the screen you should see a tool bar of icons. The curved back arrow will bring you to either forward or reply an email. The little trash can will let you delete an email.
Are you not seeing the tool bar?

  • How to set auto delete option for old messages

    Hi All,
Can any one help me on how to set auto delete option for mails older than 15 days from my Z10.
    James Kurian

There is no such option in BB 10.
However, you can achieve a similar result by setting your email sync timeframe to 14 days (the closest option).
If you are using an ActiveSync account (such as Hotmail, Outlook.com), go to Settings > Accounts > select the account. Tap advanced at the bottom of the screen. Scroll to the very bottom, tap Sync Timeframe and set to 14 days.
If you are using an IMAP account (such as Gmail or GMX), you will have to delete, then re-add your account.  The Sync Time frame is only avaialble during setup for these accounts.  When adding, tap advanced at the bottom of the screen and set the Sync Timeframe.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I delete my iCloud account on my iPad when there is no 'delete' option

My iPad iCloud account does not have a 'delete' option though my iPhone does. How canI delete the account on my iPad so that I can set u a new Apple ID?

From what you are saying, I gather that you are the original owner of the iPad but you forgot the password to an account that no longer exists, so you cannot retrieve the password, since the email account that you used for the iCloud account no longer exists. If that is correct, you should probably contact Apple and ask for their help.
Gohere, find the site for your country and start a dialog with Apple.

  • I downloaded photos from a camera and cannot delete the ones I want as it displays only move and slideshow options but no trashcan or delete options

I downloaded photos from digital camera and now I want to delete some but when I hit the photos icon it only brings up pics with the only options being move or slideshow no trashcan or delete options available

You should be able to delete photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view.
Photos that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing

  • How Do I Know If All Email Deleted is Really Deleted?

I use a mid 2012 Mac Pro; run Mavericks, Mail 7.3.  How do I know if all email deleted is really deleted from my hard drive?

How deleted do you need it to be?
QuickTimeKirk says it may never have been stored on your Mac.  This assumes your mail connection is via IMAP, which keeps the mail on the mail server.
If you were using POP connection for mail, then your mail would be stored in
    Finder -> Go -> Go to folder -> ~/Library/Mail
    and
Finder -> Go -> Go to folder -> ~/Library/Mail Downloads
Any file deleted, will just have its name in the directory removed, and the storage given back to the file system to reuse at a future date.  Until the file system gets around to reusing the storage, it will still have the contents of the email written on it.
If you are using System Preferences -> Security -> FileVault, then the deleted storage will just be encrypted random bits.  Otherwise, it may be possible to recovery the email with the right specialized tools and enough time and money, right up until the storage is reused for another file (and even then with a lot more money and time, it may be possible to recover the email; when I say a lot more money, I really a whole bunch of money).
You can use Disk Utility to "Erase Free Space".  This cause Disk Utility create a file, then grow that file until all the unused storage, including your deleted email are allocated to this file.  The file is overwritten with an erase pattern, and then Disk Utility deletes the file, and now all the unused storage contains a random bunch of erase pattern bits in them.
If you are using an SSD (Solid State Disk), then due to the way SSD storage is managed, it is next to impossible to insure that the data is erased, and because SSD's have a limited number of writes before they start to fail, Disk Utility does no provide the Erase Free Space option, so as not to prematurely shorten the life of the SSD.  With an SSD the only way to be sure something cannot be recovered is to keep the disk encrypted using System Preferences -> Security -> FileVault.  And you would have had to do that BEFORE the email was written to the SSD, not after.
So, how deleted do you need it to be?

  • Emails Deleting?

    Hi there,
I use yahoo email on my Blackberry and Outlook on my computer. Emails are coming to my phone and outlook, when i view them on my outlook and move them to a Outlook folder they disappear from my phone. It jsut shows my sent messages.
Any help please as i need to be able to see recieved messages too!
    Thanks,

When you move them from Outlook's main folder to another folder, apparently your yahoo email server is seeing them as deleted and deleting them from your handheld.
On your BlackBerry, in your email set up, turn off the sync deleted items setting.

  • Email deletion procedure after 10-13-09 RIM update

After performing an update on 10-13-09 to my 8330 I find that there is only a delete option for email. Previously when performing a delete, I was queried as to hand held & network or just the hand held.  I have become fond of managing my email from the BB and do not like losing that capability.  Is there a way to undo the update or to obtain the previous version for installation.

I too updated my (sprint) 8330 and I still have the option.
From the message list -> Options -> Email Reconciliation -> Delete On: (prompt/handheld/mailbox and handheld)
    Sounds like you want "prompt".

  • IPhone 5s/iOS 7.0.2 email deletion bug.

Starting today I can no delete emails. I slide it to the left to bring up the deletion option and it just instantly snaps back to the right as if I never slide it. The edit button in the top right cornered changes from "edit" to "done" and starts flashing when this happens.

I realize it doesn't correct the other issue, I just wanted to make sure that email would delete first. If the force close and the reset does not work, the next step in user troubleshooting is restore from a backup. If that does not correct things, then the last step is restore as a new device, not from a backup.
Before you try the restore, I suggest going into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and delete the mail account. Power the phone off/on, then add the email account back. If this does not do it, then continue with the restore.

  • E52 email delete problem

While on other Nokia phones (such as N97), on trying to delete a received email, an option appears asking "delete ONLY PHONE" or "delete from Phone AND SERVER", on E52 there is no such option.
As a result, if user is out of office and deletes the received messages, then the messages are deleted not only from phone but FROM SERVER too
I already lost valuable emails this way, cause I retrived them on my E52 being out of office, then deleted them and when I went back to office all emails were missing from the server.
I cannot believe that Nokia did not imply this option to such a business phone as E52.
    Do I miss something?
Any answer from official person and/or users who faced the same problem?
Thanking in advance for your replies,
    Konstadinos

Thank you for your quick reply.
Unfortunately, when I read a mail on my E52 and don't delete it from the phone, when I return to my office and retrive my mails on outlook, it does NOT show as read.
Furthermore if I delete it on the phone, it does NOT go to the deleted folder of outlook.
In case that I mark all messages on the phone as "unread" (after reading them) and then delete them from the phone (E52), then when I return to office and connect to outlook, all deleted messages do NOT appear either to the incoming or to the deleted mail folder.
My concern is why Nokia did not imply on E52 the same mail delete method as in N97 (asking if user likes to delete it only from phone or both from phone and server).
This becomes a great problem, when the mailbox service is a gmail, or hotmail one, where each time you connect to your mailbox from the phone, it retrives EVERY mail residing in the incoming mail folder and if you make the mistake to delete any of them, it permanently dissapears from the mailbox

  • Are emails deleted with an iClould account gone forever?

Are emails deleted with an iClould account gone forever?

Go to Mail and open Preferences.
Click on the Accounts tab and select the [email protected] Check the settings for OutGoing Mail server, not sure how this will show up for two accounts on the same server. But I do see an area for "Edit SMTP server" in that list. Just make sure that is set to [email protected] Do the same with the old email address, but just make sure they have the [email protected] address.
Then go to the Composing tab and just make sure that the "Send new messages from:" Is set to "Account of selected mailbox". Or you could select the "[email protected]" address if you desire. But all emails will be sent from that email address unless you change it. You can do so when you have an outgoing email opened. In the area of the subject line, it gives you an option to send it from "[email protected]"
