BB Z10 Powers off automatically/screen freezes

I see I am not the only customer whose BB Z10 powers off automatically or has their BB screeen go black or freeze. This is the second phone since I purchased on May 2. Can anyone give me a suggestion as to what to do. I really like this phone, but don't like phone powering off in the middle of an email. Help.

Troubledbbuser, let's unfreeze your device and stop it from powering off by itself. Have you downloaded a few applications to your device? Some application's software can affect the performance of your device. I recommend that you delete any unwanted applications on your device and power it off/on. Keep us posted and reach out to us on Twitter @VZWSUPPORT if need additional assistance.

  • In Firefox 4, how do I change the order of plugins on the Add-ons Plugins manager page (I turn Shockwave Flash on only to see videos - having it off prevents screen freezing - and so I want it stay at the top of the list)?

In Firefox 4, how do I change the order of plugins on the Add-ons Plugins manager page? I turn Shockwave Flash on only when I want to watch a video and then turn it off to prevent screen freezing, and so I want it to PUT it and KEEP it at the top of the list.

Hit Ctrl+0 (That's a zero, by the way). I'm not sure if it will work, but hey, that's the first thing I would try.

  • Blackberry z10 turning off automatically

my blackberry z10 is turning off automatically every day 1-2 times, i have also factory reset it still the problem is same.what should i do?????

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

Fold a small piece of paper and wedge it along the top edge of the battery (the top, opposite the end with the contacts). See the image below where the red arrows are.
Try that a few days and see if the restarting persists.

  • BlackBerry z10 switching off automatically when the battery is less tha k 50% and opening when connecting to a charger

BlackBerry z10 is switching off automatically when the battery is between 40 to 50%. And opens when I connect the charger.
First it gives a logo of a red sign. And the light. Then after few red light it opens. Pleaseee help.

I had the same problem, it happened as soon as I got my phone so Telus replaced it under the 30 replacement policy. If past 30 days they repair it.
    Have it repaired or replaced.

  • Sprint iPhone powers off automatically

I have a Sprint iPhone and it keeps powering off by itself. I will go to use it and I can't turn it back on by hitting the home button or the power button. I thought the battery was dead but when I plugged it in and held the power and home button for about ten seconds it came back on with the Apple logo. The battery showed 97% so my only thought is that it is power down by itself somehow. This last time it was sitting on my desk so it wasn't hitting something in my pocket or anything. Any thoughts?

This is not normal nor acceptable so if there was no change after a full restore, I think it is time you called AppleCare or if you live near an Apple Store, make an appointment to have your iPhone checked. If you are past the 14 day window after purchase, if there is a problem discovered that requires a repair or replacement, the Apple Store will send your iPhone off to AppleCare anyway so I would start there first regardless.

my new ipod classic 160 gb powered off and won't turn back on. if i plug in to computer, itunes will not open. if i start itunes first then plug in ipod, itunes freezes up. Looking for help. thanks. Was not connected to the computer when ipod died.

I have not heard of a good reason for this to happen or how to fix. 3 days later my screen lights up and says to connect to charger.... so its back "for now". Best music player on the market when it works.

  • Exported a 3 minute video from iMovie to Quicktime, saved on my desktop.  It started saving as INDIVIDUAL files, as in about 5400! Entire system froze, completely unresponsive.  Powered off 3 times now, it comes on and displays my screen saver but nothing

Exported a 3 minute video from iMovie into Quicktime, saved to desktop.  System started saving INDIVIDUAL frames instead and entire system froze.  Powered off and on twice - screensaver appears, but that's it - nothing else is accessible

Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
You may now be able to log in and move the files off the Desktop. Then reboot as usual.

  • Windows powering off or freezing on install

I have tried many different things with this computer but it always ends up doing this. Gotting to the windows installation blue screen. It will freeze at diff points...but it always freezes. The farthest it has gotten to is trying to format. It then cuts off, or just freezes. What component in the computer would cause an error like this. I appreciate everyones help. here is a list of things I have tried to do already.
-I have changed out the RAM
-I have changed out the video cards.
-I have tried SATA hard drives.
-I have tried IDE Hard Drives.
-I have tried putting on a NorthBridge cooler
-I have tried artic silver under all components
-I checked my power supply for the right voltage ratings
-I have used 3 different Windows Xp Pro discs

sounds like a heat problem. Did U connect the cpu fan cabel? Try remounting the entire cooler and look at the thermalpaste again if it looks ok. Is your cooler good enuff? Did U connect the small power cabel to the motherboard witch powers the cpu?
