BBM 8.0.0.94 don't like it .. how can I downgrade?

Installed the latest BBM 8.0.0.94 on my trusty Bold 9900 with most up to date OS.
Is there a way to roll back to the last version before this?
Also, I might give it time to see if it grows on me but, is there a way to clear status updates from my contacts? In prior bersions, the "clear history" was easily available but I don't see such an option here and have a long list of my contacts' status updates. I don't need that stuff and wish to delete/clear it. Anyone know how?
Thanks in advance.
Dan

I upgraded my firefox and saw that I could place a theme, I did it because It sounded nice, but I don't like it at all. Can you tell me how to remove it?

  • I've,just,bought,a,new,Mac,with,mavericks,,but,I,don't,like,mavericks,,how,may,I ,downgrade,to,Mountain,Lion,10.8.5?

I've just bought a brand new iMac with OS X Mavericks but I dont like Mavericks and it also has problems with some apps I use, how may I downgrade to Mountain Lion 10.8.5?

    You can't.
You cannot install or run an OS X version lower than what is, originally, installed on your Mac.
Your only option maybe to purchase a download code for OS X Mountain Lion here,
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6377Z/A/os-x-mountain-lion
Purchase a high quality USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt hard drive, formatted as an OS X exetnded (journaled) drive with a GUID partition scheme and install OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion to the external drive and boot and run your new iMac from this external drive.
This is the only optioh to run an older OS X version on a new Mac.
I have a 2009 iMac that the lowest OS X version I can run from the iMac's internal hard drive is OS X 10.6.1.
I have an external drive with OS X 10.5.8 and can get my iMac to boot and run this older OS X version from the ex eternal hard drive.
Here is a good source for quality external hard drives.

    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Lacie/9000303/
Your only other option is to return your new iMac within 14 days for a full refund and look for older iMac, either new or used that came with OS X Mountain Lion as its original, preinstalled OS X version.
    Good Luck!

  • TS2951 I installed Maverick on my computer cause it kept asking as an update don't like it how can i go back of what I use to have

I Installed Maverick on my computer cause it kept asking me as an update to the computer I dont like it and if i do something on my I Pad it happens on my computer to how can go back

    Hopefully you made a backup.
This is what I had to do to rever to Snow Leopard from Mavericks:
make an appointment with a genius at an Apple Store
they had to do a deep wipe (not the exact correct term, but deep was part of it) of my iMac, then reinstall Snow Leopard over top of it.  We tried to restore from backup during the install process, and ended up in a total mess.  So we had to start over and do another deep wipe, then they reinstalled Snow Leopard for me.
You need to bring some proof that you own Snow Leopard with you, then they will install it for free (and do it much faster than you can, because they install the latest version straight away

My computer keeps freezing up and some of my software won't work.... HELP!

How to Perform an Archive and Install
    1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
    3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
    4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
    5. After moving any items you may need from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
    6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.

  • Don't like IOS 7' can i downgrade?

I do not think iOS7 is suitable for iPad 3. The processor is not coping at all. It only just coped with the retina display before, but is really suffering now. The screen keeps freezing, button activations take seconds to respond or have to be pressed several times before responding. Internet usability is really slow and sometimes IOS7 shuts down the safari operation midway through usage. The new screens are very hard to see, dark grey text/legends against a black background, white skinny text against a light background. Buttons and screens look really awful to say the least, makes the screens look like a Windows 8 or Android OS (really tacky). Trying to look at my collection of photos is a very disappointing experience with small photos being displayed against a bright white background, the collection of photos have been minimised  to about 1cm in size and grouped together so that it is almost impossible to find or select one (cannot resize them or alter the background colour).
Just the looks of the thing makes me not want to use the iPad at all. It really does look awful, especially as the original system looked so good. Surely there should be the option to have the 'classic' style
Can i have the original (working) OS reinstalled? Surely there is a law that gives me an option to return an item within a certain period. I consider that i have been mis-sold this OS as the operating system is part of the package that i paid for when purchasing this expensive tablet (the tablet will not work  without the OS).

Two things other users have used to improve efficiency of iOS 7 on their iPads,
    1. First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
    2. Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

This was my question exactly. Thanks for getting to the answer even though it's not what I wanted to hear. When I tried calling Apple earlier today to get an answer, I was unceremoniously disconnected twice while on hold for several minutes.

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums.

  • I READ A LOT OF BAD ABOUT THE NEW O.S. IF I DON'T LIKE IT HOW DO I GO BACK TO 10.8.5  I AM COMPETENT BUT NOT A SUPERGEEK OR EVEN A PRO SO K.I.S.S. WOULD BE GOOD

I READ A LOT OF BAD ABOUT THE NEW O.S. IF I DON'T LIKE IT HOW DO I GO BACK TO 10.8.5  I AM COMPETENT BUT NOT A SUPERGEEK OR EVEN A PRO SO K.I.S.S. WOULD BE GOOD

Make a bootable backup of your current system before upgrading or make a new partition on your hard drive and install the new OS on the new volume. Now two more things for someone who believes they are competent:
    1. Don't believe everything you read on these forums. Only users with problems post here. Millions of other users don't post here because they manage not to have problems.
    2. Don't use all CAPS. That is considered shouting. Shouting is bad netiquette. Please use mixed case.

  • Now that iCloud has done away with galleries, how can we share as I did with MobileMe? How can we sync non-Apple email accounts across multiple computers?

Now that iCloud has done away with galleries, how can we share as I did with MobileMe? How can we sync non-Apple email accounts across multiple computers?

You will need to find a third party solution for online storage in order to share things like photos with others. Some popular solutions to this are dropbox and sugarsync.
You cannot sync non-iCloud email accounts across your iOS devices and computers unless they are IMAP accounts like iCloud. If they are IMAP accounts, you will do it in the same way as you have always done.
