BBM cannot be received by ONE contact

I've seen a number of posts with siimilar, if not my exact problem but no one seems to know the solution. Can someone who has resolved this issue previously help out please?
I will reiterate the issue: Out of the blue, all BBM messages sent by my 9900 to one particular contact does not get delivered. Anything my BB transmits (status updates, picture change) just does not get received by this person. I am able to receive everything (including updates) from this person however. Otherwise, BBM works like normal with everyone else. PIN also works normally, and the particular person was able to receive my PIN messages like normal. I've tried registering with host routing table, resending service books, battery pulls, uninstall and reinstall BBM, but nothing works.
The only thing that works is using a simcard from another provider. As soon as the device gets registered, I am able to send and get my messages delivered immediately to the particular person mentioned above. Is this an issue with my carrier or RIM or my blackberry? I'm with AT&T and this problem started this afternoon and is still a problem almost 12 hours later.
Can someone please help me out?

I don't have his email address set up with his contact information, only his cell number. I went so far as to manually enter his phone number into the 'To:' field. Just came up with his name and still sent an iMessage but he did not receive it.
My phone only has one contact card for him and I'm still confused as to why I can receive massages from him but as normal SMS as opposed to iMessage but my iMessage says its sent with no errors and he doesn't receive

  • Messages not being received by one contact

    I have one contact that cannot receive my messages I have sent. We both have the iPhone 4s.
    When I do try to send a message to him, it shows up 'blue' and no error message is received. My phone recognizes that it is an iMesssage in the message body but he does not ever receive them. When he sends a message to me, I do receive it but it is a regular SMS in green. I have even tried to simply respond to the messages he sends me, they also show up blue, but he doesn't recieve those either.
    We both have iMessage 'on', and both are running 3G
    I do not have this issue with any other contacts, iPhone user or not

  • Cannot Video Call with one Contact Anymore

    I am having this problem where my friend and I, who could video call last week, cannot anymore. The sound works but we cannot communicate via video. All video settings are good, and I can see my camera in the lower right but neither of us receives the video. I have the latest version of skype, that I downloaded the update for today, for Windows and my friend has the latest version for Mac (just redownloaded it to be sure). Even so, we cannot skype using video anymore. To be clear, I can still skype with other contacts. I tested it to be sure, and I can see them and they can see me. It's just this one contact now.
    What could be the problem or solution?

    Obviously this is stumping people. I don't know if this matters, but I forgot one detail. I'm in the USA and my contact is in the UK.

    Hi, one of my contacts can't recieve my text messages, I can call this number and they can message me however they can't recieve my messages still, we have spoken on text before but only a few days ago my messages weren't being received on their end, I can send and recieve messages from every other contact and so can the contact I am trying to text. I have been in contact with the phone company twice and they said it should be fine and to contact Apple, please help me, what could be the problem??? Also the recipient is not an apple user.

    I sent a message to my wife last night from my MBP and it went 100%, today, she "cannot accept file transfer".  What is going on?  No, my wife's iPhone is still on IOS6.  She is waiting for the upgrade dust to settle before she will jump into IOS7.  I wonder if that has anything to do with the sudden change?

  • BBM doesnt work just to one contact

    Both my brother and I have 8900 curves, adn we're on each other bbm list.
    I can send messages to anyone else on my list, and they go through fine, but if i ever send him a message, or he sends me one, whilst the tick has the small D above it, neither of us get the other's messages.
    It only happens with me and him, he can talk to all his contacts and i can talk to all of mine.
    We've both tried deleting each other and adding back again, it works for the first hour, then back to nothing so we have to resort to SMSing each other.
    Any ideas? 

    I've been in contact with Telus.  They're suggesting delete the affected contact (not just BBM contact) from the phone; then pull the battery, replace and re-set up the contact.  I haven't done this yet, but will when i can.  Try this.
    It seems like the contact information is somehow confused and won't sync the bbm contact with the rest of the contact information.

  • CANNOT GET BBMS FROM ONE CONTACT ON LIST ONLY

    I am unable to receive BBMs from one particular contact on my BBM list.  I was mid-conversation with the person and all of a sudden they were not responding.  I can PIN/text/call the person but cannot receive their BBMs.  They receive mine, but I do not see that a little R stating that have read my messages.  I can see when they update their picture, but not their status.  When they try to send me a message they only get a check, no D or R showing that it went through. They are able to BBM other people on their list, just not me.  I have done multiple battery pulls, i even uninstalled and re-installed BBM.  I have deleted them on my BBM list, and in my contacts and re-added them, nothing.  I checked my activity logs and didnt see any errors relating to BBM.   Can anyone help with this?

    Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
    I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
    1) Register HRT
    KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    2) Resend Service Books
    KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
    Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    The other person should probably do thes steps as well. Hopefully that will get things going again for you!
    Occam's Razor nearly always applies when troubleshooting technology issues!

    Thank you ChrisJ4203. I checked to be sure SMS was turned on.  I found advice to restart phone and to delete history.  I restarted the phone and deleted all previous messages from that contact. He then received my last three messages, I got his reply, and we seem up and running. Thanks again for your suggestions.

    amyhs, thanks for those details. This is certainly quite odd that this has been going on so long and we definitely want to get to the bottom of this. Now, you stated that you have reached out to technical support and spoke with a tier two technical support representative. At this time, what actions or troubleshooting steps were taken? Are you aware if a ticket with our network technicians was ever created? As well, have you ever previously had an iPhone and are you aware if the users that are unable to message you are using iMessage?

  • BBM and PIN not working for one contact!

    For one BBM contact I cannot send BBMs or PIN anymore. It is driving me crazy.  
    When I send a PIN i get the message "service blocked" and a red cross.  BBMs will send, I get the tick but no D or R.  This is only happening with one contact.  He is having problems only with me as well.  We can send each other text messages etc. We are both in the UK and with o2.   Previously i've had no problems with BBM.  
    Does anyone know what's wrong?
     It's so frustratng because this contact is the reason I bought a blackberry and he bought one, so we could use bbm as he works in an area with bad reception.

  • Cannot send iMessages to one of my contacts

    I have a new iPhone 5s.  iMessages work with all of my other iPhone contacts, but one.  It worked with him intermittently and now has stopped completely.   For a few days the only thing I could do was send him Texts (which came up in green on my screen), but he never received them.  And when I 'push' the iMessages out as a text, he never get them.  When I try to send this one contact an iMessage, it immediately comes up with "not delivered" with a '!' symbol.   I re-try several times but it doesn't work.  I have shut messages off and on several time, shut my phone off and restarted it, deleted him from my contact list and added back.  Nothing seems to work.  He cannot send me anything either.  He has an older iPhone, without the upgrade (I think) and he says I have a green dot, not a blue one.  I don't know the old operating system, so I don't know what he has on his screen.   Please, please help.  It is important that I have easy messaging capability with this contact.  Sorry to be so long...  but the AT&T store people were not able to help me.  Very frustrating!

  • Cannot text one contact

    I cannot text one contact, my father, who is on the same account as me.  I have Moto X, contact has iPhone 5.  Have deleted contact and turned off/on phone.  Texts from either end do not go through. 

    Does your father receive texts from other people?  Could he possibly have you blocked (inadvertently or otherwise?).  Call Verizon customer service and have them check the provisioning on his line to ensure texting is fully enabled.
    Is he trying to send you an iMessage text?  Have him turn off iMessages and send a regular text.

    Blue bubbles are using for iMessages, so problem with receiving is in iMessage.

    Lately I've had some trouble sending texts to my contacts, but I can typically resolve that by turning my phone off and back on. However, this time my phone won't send texts to only one contact. I've tried the usual and then I dialed *228 also. The texts are still not going through, but I can receive the person's texts just fine. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to fix this problem?

        Yikes! Lets get those messages to go through asha312. Try to delete their number from your contact list and add back with a 1 before the area code. Which device does the other user have? Are they on our network? Once you delete the number and add back, delete the text message thread and start a new one. Let us know how it goes.

  • From one contact, can receive imessage, can only send text.

    My buddy has had a personal iphone for some time. All works well.  He got a work iphone today.  Added his contact.  When he texts me,it comes through as an iMessage perfectly.  When I reply to him it only goes as a text.  I send and received iMessages all day along.   Also he is able to iMessage his other contacts to and from without a problem.
    What could this be?  I tried to reboot, turn imessage on and off, deleted the thread, created a separate contact for his work phone.
