Bbm icon and service

i have a bb 9800 with o2 i seem to have lost my bbm icon and cant recieve message or send any
help plz

You can do one of two things.
1 - Open BlackBerry Desktop Software on your PC. Plug your phone in, wait for it to be recognized, then click Applications in the software. Put a checkmark beside BBM and click Apply to load it.
2 - From your phone's browser, type www.blackberry.com/messenger to load it to your phone.
Before doing any of that, make sure you just haven't hidden it by accident. While on your homescreen, press the menu key and select Unhide All or Show All if they're available. If not, follow my instructions above.

Can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent show as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either (PIN Message Status : Service Blocked)

I recenly changed device from BB Curve 8530 to BB Bold 9900 and ever since then can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows only as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either. Tried sending PIN messages but I got a red x next to the message and the status says: "Service Blocked" .
When my phone got lost, I was lucky that I just synchronized my device to my BB Desktop. Not only was I able to retrieve my contacts (phonebooks and BBM) but also ALL txt msgs and even call logs
Anway, that happening, I assumed I don't need to re-send all my BBM friends invites since some were able to communicate with me. But for those who have deleted my profile (knowing it got lost) and were still on my contact were the ones affected. I tried deleting them and sent an invite only to find out that: I can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving any. (they also have the same pending for authorization notice on their end)
When I tried to send them a PIN message I get a red x next to the message nd get the service blocked message.
Help I do not know what else to do.
** FYI: new contacts added with my new PIN have no prob sending invites and me accepting them all.

This issue is most likely Caused by the BlackBerry not being provisioned for BlackBerry Data Services.

Firefox will no longer start. Already updated, and now it will not start. Uninstalled, reinstalled (numerous times). Click the icon and nothing. Hour glass comes up for a second and then it is gone. Running XP ver 5.1 (service pack 3)

Firefox will no longer run on my computer. It's been working fine up until a few days ago. Installed the updates and now nothing. Uninstalled, reinstalled (numerous times). Click the icon and nothing. Hour glass comes up for a second and then it is gone. Running XP ver 5.1 (service pack 3) edit. I'm no techie so I have no clue what is causing this or what to do. I love firefox and miss it greatly. Anyone know what I can do to get it back?

Software Update Yesterday And Now BBM Icon Is Gone

My (Verizon) Torch 9850 had an icon that a software update was available yesterday so i down loaded it and installed it. Now my BBM icon is gone! I have set the phone to "show all icons" and searched all the folders and still no BBM icon.
I did a battery pull and still no BBM icon.
I did a secure wipe(including applications and SD card) and still no BBM icon.
App world still shows BBM installed
Blackberry desktop shows it installed bu an update available. however when I click to update the device I get a message stating no updates are available.
Please help!

Go to your Applications list, find BBM, highlight it with your cursor, press your menu key and select Delete. Next, from your phone's browser type www.blackberry.com/messenger to reload it.

'Share' icon and feature keeps disappearing

OS=10.2.1.2941 (but the issue started with the previous update)
Service provider= Rogers
At least weekly, the 'share' icon disappears from most things (specifically, take a picture, view the picture, can't 'share' the picture since the icon is gone).
Have to restart the phone to get the share icon and function back.
Usually, but not always, when I notice the share icon has gone AWOL, the phone is also not receiving any incoming BBMs, texts or emails, even though wireless connectivity is OK (usually LTE) and the BBM icon is present.
Once the phone restarts, pending messages are received, and all is good until the next time...
I've been unable to detect any pattern, i.e. share goes missing after x,y,z. It just seems random.

BBM, Protect and others problem over various wifi

My BBM, Protect and maybe other services doesnt work on my home wifi but works over our company wifi. same time I don't have blackberry icon in right top corner on home wifi, which probably means this services are not working on that case.
Does anyone have idea what needs to setup on my home router for fix?

ok, just update from my site. when I set vpn to work wifi, BMM works over my home network. so it looks like any port needs to alowed or something similar on my home router or by me internet provider. but does anybody have idea what is that what blackberry needs for this services? thnak you

Missing BBM icon

My Blackberry messenger suddenly disappeared so I decided to download the new one BBM 5.0.1.38.... But after a successful download I cannot seem to locate the BBM icon on my phone any longer even if in my application list its there in my phone...I use Bold 9000. Is there any help you can render?

Let's make sure you have the proper service books loaded.
Go to options advanced options, Host Routing Tables, click to enter. DO NOT click on any listing. Press menu key, and select register now.
You will get a verification message. Then go to email settings and send service books. You will get an verification per account. Do a battery pull and see if the problem is resolved.

I have an HP-Pavilion Vista PC with MS Office 2007 and Service Pack 2. Each time I try to save a Word or Excel document I get the “Not Responding” message. The “Word is saving……” bar at the bottom does not show any progress. On clicking the document I get a faded version even when in Safe Mode. Somehow the document appears on the Desktop where I tried to save it. On trying to open the saved document, even as administrator, I get the following ”File in Use” message:
“The ….docx is locked for editing by….” and I am asked three questions including:
“Do you want to open a Read Only copy” yet on clicking “Yes” I am able to edit the same document.
On trying to save to a different location I get the message:
“Your autocorrect file MSO 1033.ad could not be saved. The file may be read only or you may not have permission to modify this file.”
The same message stating FILE12\1033\MSO.ACL MSO 1033ad recurs with new Excel documents.
How can I correct this problem?

Worse still, the HP Advisor icon that appears on startup does not load successfully while showing the message: “Access to the path Hewlett-Packard\HD Advisor is denied”.
What can I do about it?

I'm having the same issue, allowing guest access on the share did change the logs I'm getting in Samba. Earlier on it was giving errors on the inability of guest access to the share.

I also noticed that the temporary file that is created by office is not removed after the attempt to safe the file. (something like: ~$filename).

Ipod nano displays apple icon and doesn't work

I bought this nano as a gift (I already have an identical one). There were no problems syncing the content and registering the device, but once it is disconnected from the system, if you navigate to a song on the device and hit "[play", the screen goes black and will only display an apple icon.
I returned the first one thinking it's a hardware issue, but the replacement is doing the exact same thing, leading me to believ it is a setting or software issue. I got the replacement in a completely different Best Buy too, just to try and get one from a different batch. Any ideas what's going on?

Make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes and the Ipod's firmware is up to date.
Make sure the "screen lock" is not set to on. Make sure the hold button at the top of iPod Nano is in the "off" position.

BBM icon missing after update. need help asap please

Hi I'm using a bb bold 9780 and my bbm is 5.0.1.45 and when I tried updating it, it hangs whenever it finishes installing. And when I tired a battery pull, my bbm icon goes missing. Any idea how to solve this issue? Could really need some help here cos its quite impt. Thank you in advance

When you get a chance, do a battery pull. When the red light goes away on the front of the phone, hold down the back button the entire time while the phone is booting up. When the boot is complete, the phone will enter safe mode.

Try to delete it from there and do another battery pull / reinstall.

Try this step and if you cannot get your device into recovery mode there is a chance you have a hardware failure and you need to call apple to see what service options you have.

BBM icon not showing in Blackberry Bridge on Playbook

I've setup the Blackberry Bridge between the Playbook, and a BB Torch, all the bridge icons are showing except the BBM icon. Is BBM available yet through the bridge connection?
Does anyone know when a video chat app will be available, is is this going to be pushed out through an update?

Here is another example of where someone from RIM needs to STEP UP and provide a definitive answer to the question: Is BBM supported on PB. And the related question: Is SMS messaging supported on PB. Seems crazy that RIM is leaving new PB users in limbo. The answers are all rumors and heresay. Let's get a statement on this from RIM!

You don't have to update to 7.02 if you don't want to, though this update does fix a few glitches in 7.0.
Before updating, you should always back up your data - it's standard practice. I've never lost pictures in an iTunes update.
Perhaps you could elaborate on the comment, "Just installed 7.02 and only got itunes icon and usb cord." What problem are you having, exactly.
Your next question confuses me. "Shouldn't I get free service for their software problem ?." What free service were you looking for? You can always go to your local Apple store for help, or ask questions here for free.

BBM, Facebook and Twitter

I recently purchased the BlackBerry Curve 9320, and everything is working perfectly. Apart from BBM, Facebook and Twitter. BBM won't let me send or receive requests, and Facebook and Twitter say that they're not part of my contract? The Carphone Warehouse said that it would take up to 48 hours for BBM, FB and Twitter to work, it has been over 48hours and I have not yet recieved the conformation text message! I rang up Orange, and they said it should all be sorted but it still isn't! Please can somebody help me, on how I can get them to work! I would be so so grateful! Thanks, Georgie

BBM icon missing

Help! I tried upgrading to bbm 6.2 using app world. However after upgrade, the phone rebooted and I cleared event log using ALT+LGLG. I could not find the bbm icon. I can see its installed via Options>Applications, but I can't find the icon. I have checked all folders and made sure that its not hidden. To no avail. Pls any solutions that would not make me loose my bbm contacts!

on any screen, press the BlackBerry Menu key for about two seconds.
You should see a ribbon bar with various icons of the active applications,.. the phone, browser, and BBM as well.
Do you see it there?
For the lost icon:
1. On your homescreen, press the Menu key > SHOW ALL, so that SHOW ALL is checked.
2. Look in EACH folder on your device... Applications, Instant Messengers, Downloads, etc.
